AMERICAN SPRING: Fox News Joins The Crackpot Parade In DC

Today is the day that Tea Party Patriots and Bundy Militiamen nationwide are supposed to be descending on Washington, D.C. to overthrow the Marxist, Muslim, Kenyan usurper in the formerly “White” House, along with his evil henchmen Joe Biden, Eric Holder, John Boehner, and more. Organizers promised a minimum of 10 million dedicated revolutionaries, and up to 30 million. The attendance would be so overwhelming that President Obama and the other defilers of the Constitution would be forced from office, leaving patriots like Ted Cruz, Allen West, and Jim DeMint to fill the void. So how are these Founding Frothers doing?

American Spring

Any objective analysis of that photo from today’s massive rally would have to concede that the American Spring was a resounding success. They drew at least three billion protesters, if you count the disembodied voices in their heads. And this historical achievement could not have been realized without the help of Fox News.

Admittedly, Fox came to the party a little late. But they did show up, and their contribution provided both promotion and helpful dishonesty. The headline pasted atop their lie-riddled Fox Nation website read “Militias Marching On DC.” The article was sourced to the “Moonie” Washington Times and made no effort to validate the claim that Militias, or anybody else, were marching on DC, or anywhere else. However, it was chock-full of pseudo-patriotic hyperbole and overtly violent rhetoric.

“A group of self-described revolutionary-style patriots with a million mobilized militia members are heading to downtown Washington, D.C., this week to bring a simple message to political leadership, from President Obama to House Speaker John Boehner: ‘Get out.'” […]

“The group expects between 10 million and 30 million similarly thinking Americans to meet them in the capital on Friday for a rally that’s being billed as a sort of “Arab Spring” for Americans.” […]

[Organizer Col. Harry] Riley said he hopes the event will go forward peaceably, but that so far, peaceful protests haven’t brought citizens much luck. He also said that more than 1 million militia members have already mobilized for the event — and that projections of 10 million to attend aren’t pie in the sky.” […]

“We have no faith in the ballot box any longer.”

The organizers of the American Spring, or as Rachel Maddow calls it, “Big Nutball Day,” must be so proud of their achievement. Inspiring this kind of outpouring of support for treason isn’t as easy as it sounds. Perhaps they might have been even more successful if they had advertised the event as the “American Spring Break.” That sort of promotion could have doubled the turnout, complete with videos of “Patriots Gone Wild” and girls dressed up as Betsy Ross flashing their boobs in wet TEA shirt contests.

  1. OBVIOUSLY, the leftist lamestream media is only publishing pictures which exclude the throngs of sedition…errr patriots, easily numbering in the Millions.

    • You there? You should upload a picture from where you are! They can’t block everyone!

  2. Will this revolution have any effect on the baseball schedule?

I need more popcorn, to be able to watch this.

  3. Wow, I was just at beforeitsnews.com and there are some sick individuals there. They are exactly the type of people I fear with weapons.

BTW Teabilly asshats this is a DEMOCRACY. We vote on our gubiment here in Murica

    • I hope you never have a cause…. they will silence you as well.

  4. Well. Another one bites the dust. The militant truckers…fail. The guys with rifles crossing the bridge…fail (and an arrest.) This one? Stupid and a failure. I hope the folks took in the sights while they were in DC, and spent some cash on hotels and food and souvenirs. Maybe they could find large print Constitution to read on the way home.

  5. How dare these people question our glorious leader and his leftist minions that sooooo wanted to fundamentally change this country. Not going as you had hoped??? With so little resistance – as noted in your analysis of the photo – how could you achieve so little of your leftist dreams? Pretty funny I think.

    • “Money” that’s what. The same money that has been paying for propaganda that has promoted your white privileged hate to divide the middle class. pays for morons to run for office with no intention of doing public service just self service.

      • Mr. Wrate – I love the white privilege line – serves to excuse any responsibility for your perceived underrepresented groups. Appears to me the current occupant of the white house is part of the “moron” (your word) parade running this country – and he ain’t white by the way.

  6. These Tea Party wing nuts are so out of it, it should be relatively to find something to sell to them, fleece them of their money.

The Constitution in large print is a good idea. CDs of patriotic songs and stirring martial music. A Patriots Cruise, on a luxury cruise ship: classes in gun cleaning, how to make your own black powder, sewing classes on how to make Colonial uniforms, books on Colonial regalia and colonial living…

    Any thoughts folks?

    • YES, so what makes you think the changes Obama is making will not effect YOU?

      • I’m hoping those policies affect me and everyone I know! Better healthcare financing, low taxes, deficit cut in half, unemployment down, bin Laden DEAD, no new wars, economy growing, yeahhh all those are good things.

        • Well that is exactly my point…what he has done and what he is planing is effecting all of us…if you think silencing the media so he will look good…it means when you disagree he will silence you too….hope and change is good if it is in the right direction, but look at the facts and see the changes, none of them are good…what hope do you have…it is a short sided self gratification plan. It will not benefit anyone in the long run.
You mentioned healthcare…sure we want the same, we want good affordable care, the best American has to offer…of course we ALL want that…but as you see, his plan is not working, report after report all showing the effects of a bad plan. Even his own people are now being foreced to admit that things are not working out, so what does he do, his exempts his infuencial friends when the mandate is not good for them…is this fair?..in fact it is unlawful..cant you see that changes to a law AFTER it is put into effect is unlafull? How hard is that to understand?…Congress is VERY willing to work on these thing together (and many of the GOP are useless fools, and many Dems are too…but look at the videos of Obama, he promised one thing then did just the opposite (yeah I know that is typical political crap…but this man is the opposite of the Midas man…everything he has done is turning to crap…yet you sill follow his nonsense… why?

        • You are such a sucker (or an idiot) – better healthcare financing – what the hell is that? Deficit cut in half, ha. What a joke. I would be happy with no new wars (that by itself would cut the deficit from Bush years) – but don’t count on it. We’re all going to be a lot poorer (higher taxes to pay for unsustainable federal spending, currency value loss – not all his fault), less free (what we must buy, can’t buy, less money for us – more for government means less freedom), and have worse healthcare (the insurance companies will continue to run healthcare into the ground under the ACA) – you can count on all those things. Those are all directly BHO policies. He has been a shitty president and his approval numbers are proof the people know it – just dummies like you carry the torch for his failed presidency.

  7. Tradition? Both red and white corncobs.

  8. Steve:

You know, of course, that the current deficit is less than half of what it was running under President Bush.

I suggest you check with FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Database) for facts, rather than opinions.
