Ann Coulter Endorses Hillary Clinton Over John McCain

Ann Coulter despises John McCain so much that she has publicly declared that she would would vote for Hillary Clinton over McCain. In fact she even commits to campaigning for Clinton:

When asked for a response, Clinton said:

For the conspiracy theorists out there, I would propose that this is really just a Machiavellian maneuver to sink Clinton’s candidacy. I can’t think of much worse for her prospects than an endorsement from Coulter.

  1. “Houndofhell” Coulter would campaign for Hillary, huh? Oh that is rich! What a frickin’ mess our political scene is.

    • Coulter is just trying to torpedo McCain’s campaign – as if she’s going to have an effect on anyone else’s vote.

But it would be fun to throw this back in her face if the nominees turn out to be Clinton and McCain.

  2. I think it’s mostly just Ann Coulter self-promotion. She is always trying to out-do herself at being “sensational” or “controversial”. There is nothing she likes more than being in the spotlight.

The proper response from Hillary would be to say she wants supporters who endorse her because of her stand on the issues and not simply because they oppose their own party’s candidate.

In an honest world, Clinton should denounce Coulter for her many shallow, bigoted and hate-based statements. But then again, silence may suffice.

George Bush won an endorsement by a slim majority of the voters. But he has never seemed to think that he had any responsibility to consider what the other 48% of the population thought or valued. Ann (and Rush, and some other Right wing media advocates) have that same type of attitude toward their own party. If you disagree with them you don’t exist.

I do wonder how much of a game it is. No matter how much certain Republicans dislike McCain, those same people dislike Hillary even more. And there are a good number of Liberals or Moderates who would see Coulter’s stand as a favorable comment with regard to McCain.

    • I think it’s ALL self-promotion.

She’s just so full of herself and she thinks she can move the electorate. She wants to sink McCain, but when she fails she will reverse course and claim she was just kidding.

While almost everything you said above is true, you made one fatal mistake – you took her seriously.
