Crybaby Trump’s Bizarre, Incoherent Response to Facebook’s Two Year Suspension

There is nothing more predictable than a childish, knee-jerk temper tantrum by Donald Trump whenever his always simmering state of victimhood is triggered. It’s the textbook behavior of a narcissistic snowflake who is consumed by paranoia and by what he perceives as persecution. For Trump, the specter of scheming adversaries is ever-present.

Donald Trump

On Friday morning Facebook announced that they are extending Trump’s indefinite suspension to a two year term. Facebook originally suspended Trump on January 7, 2021, after the Capitol Hill riots by his insurrectionist brigades. His blatant incitement of the violence and loving embrace of the rioters was finally too much for Facebook to overlook:

“‘Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr. Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols,’ Facebook’s head of global affairs Nick Clegg said in the post.”

Although there was abundant justification for making the suspension permanent, this is a start. It will keep him off of Facebook throughout the midterm elections, and will be revisited in January of 2023. Knowing Trump, he will likely earn himself a continuation of his sentence to social media purgatory.

Trump has already been permanently banned from Twitter. And his pathetic attempt to build his own “communications platform” was mercifully put to rest after less than a month due to near non-existence readership. But undeterred by popular rejection, Trump is still whining about his well-deserved exile:

“Facebook’s ruling is an insult to the record-setting 75M people, plus many others, who voted for us in the 2020 Rigged Presidential Election. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this censoring and silencing, and ultimately, we will win. Our Country can’t take this abuse anymore!”

HUH? Trump is boasting about the 75 million people who voted for him, which was actually closer to 74 million. Plus it was seven million fewer people than voted for Joe Biden, who won decisively. And what the heck does he mean by “plus many others”? Does his tally include votes from non-people?

Furthermore, Trump’s garbled grammar appears to assert that the votes that he himself received were the result of the election being rigged. There’s some truth to that considering that, despite his relentless and baseless charges, the only confirmed cases of election fraud were by Republicans voting for Trump.

Trump’s statement closes with another of his pitifully impotent threats that his persecutors won’t “get away” with their evil schemes. Not only are his claims glaringly false, he has no authority to carry out his lust for vengeance.

So, in the end, he’s still just an old man yelling at clouds. The problem is, some of his cult disciples are prone to violence, and could cause real harm. Which is why we need to remain vigilant and prepared to defend the American democracy that is currently in a fragile state.

UPDATE: Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the Trump’s Facebook suspension and replied that…

“It feels pretty unlikely that the zebra is going to change his stripes over the next two years. We’ll see.”

  1. “…the only confirmed cases of election fraud were by Republicans voting for Trump.”
…And let us not forget the attempts by Trump himself, after election, to get people w/authority to change the vote counts, to “find the votes” ~ the number he lost by +1, to be specific. We heard the recording of a U.S. Prez, using his power in an attempt to get people to help him commit election fraud by “finding” # of votes he needed. We’re just lucky that the 2 people he asked weren’t willing to lie/cheat for him! UNLIKE Trump’s claims of voter fraud, there’s a recording ~ evidence of HIS attempt to fraudulently change the election results! Surprisingly (to me), that was not pursued; quickly “dropped off radar”, as he & his fellow GOP liars & traitors actively continue to LIE about actual election results.
The only actual attempts at election fraud were done by Trump, including violent mob on Jan. 6th! He & his GOP cohorts know damn well that they’re lying & election was NOT stolen from him at all. That’s why last thing GOP wants is any investigation into events leading up to Jan. 6th!

Trump: “Our Country can’t take this abuse anymore!”
~ Well, he’s right about that! But the abuse we can’t take anymore of is being perpetrated by Trump & his completely corrupted GOP!
They’re using the ‘Big Lie’ to sucker rich folks out of millions of dollars & even worse, to destroy real democracy by pushing thru new laws in 47 States, including giving States broad authority to overturn results of FEDERAL elections, if don’t like the results!
    “Un-frigging-believable!”

  2. Agree with Sunny – even worse though, is this perpetual he ‘might’ run for re-election and he ‘could be’ staging a coup or he’s ‘considering’ this, that or the other, are the carrots he’s dangling to get money out of people who aren’t wealthy (but who are deluded…)

I reckon Biden is ‘bidin’ ‘ his time, so to speak – and when he lands on Tinpot TrumpetArse, it’ll be with both boots on and he’ll be making sure it’ll be something Trump can’t squirm and wriggle out of.

And why he’s so damn hectic about recounts!? The electoral colleges voted Biden in, same as in 2016 when they voted TrumpetArse in. Hilary won the popular vote, Trump got in on the colleges. So they can have audits til doomsday and look for votes all he likes, it won’t matter. The colleges voted. End of.

Really enjoyed the news this a.m. that he’s booted off FaceBook for two years, pending…and an article in Vanity Fare also indicates that his own ‘people’ are pleading with him to shut up about the bloody election and move on as apparently, even his own fan base are tiring of the constant bleating and braying about it. But – of course – he won’t stay ‘on script’. Am currently reading ‘The Fire and the Fury’ – just up to the part where he visited the CIA and read the verbatim of the address there – and if that wasn’t a bloody big red marker he was a sanger short of a picnic, then I don’t know what everyone was waiting for…

    • “Biden, bidin’ his time…” LOL – good 1.

I think Trump-a-chump is spastic over recounts cuz’ — A) he knows he paid for “better #s”; or, B) cuz’ pathological liars can believe their own lies ~ is how they can fool lie detector!

I too, am glad FB finally “saw the dark” & extended the ban. ‘Bout time! Noticed tho that 2yrs is up right when he’d start campaigning for ’24. That kind of big $$$ still talks!?
IMHO, should be NO campaigning on social media ~ lack of enforceable rules & too much damage is done by campaign lies/attacks spread so fast, to so many. Plus, “deep fake” videos look too real & ready to spread their evil to highest bidders! TV ads, with accountability & equal time rules for TV programs, enforced for fair play, is more than enuff.
That’s just IMHO, of course! We do need to rein this shit in, as it’s so far out-of-control at this point. Need much more equality & not just “big bucks” buying elections for the wicked.

  3. “the only confirmed cases of election fraud were by Republicans voting for Trump.”
This should be clarified to “cases of [presidential] election fraud”. I believe there are some questions about other races. Not that a lot of people are actually investigating those in the legal sense.

    • Correct. I was only referring to Presidential election, of course. With so many millions of U.S. voters, I suppose there’s likely to be a few ‘irregularities’ down-ballot on State & local elections, issues, etc.
1 reason I like voting from home is no lines or rushing; can take my time & mail it in. Even when used to vote at polls, brought my marked sample ballot with me & just copied it onto real ballot. Worked at polls a few yrs – had to leave to go vote at my own polling place. How I discovered relative calm of just voting by mail. 😉
