Tucker Carlson Rages for 12 Minutes Against Biden Nominating a Black Woman to the Supreme Court

On Wednesday evening Tucker Carlson of Fox News took a short break from his regularly scheduled parade of projectile propaganda. That meant briefly setting aside his slobbering support for the totalitarianism of Vladimir Putin’s Russia, his deadly pro-COVID, anti-vaccine disinformation, and his embrace of Donald Trump’s treasonous January 6th insurrectionists.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Klan

But he had what he certainly regards as a righteous reason to interrupt that stew of hatred and lies. Carlson’s latest tirade was an elaborate extension of the notorious white nationalism that has made him so popular with the avowed racists that he insists deserve to be loved.

The trigger for this pivot into (even more) prejudice was the news that Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is retiring, and that President Biden intends to keep his campaign promise to nominate a Black woman to the Court. Nothing could be more abhorrent to Carlson and his cadre of conservative Klanists at Fox News and in the Republican Party.

To make sure that no one missed the point, Carlson devoted a full twelve minutes to this subject. It was a rancid regurgitation of the racism that has become the hallmark of his program, as well as the official doctrine of Fox News and GOP. Carlson’s outrage was unrestrained. Also unhinged, unreasonable and untruthful (video below for those with strong stomachs):

“‘I will appoint a Black woman to the Court.’ That was Biden’s promise. Alright. But which Black woman exactly? Biden didn’t tell us. Biden didn’t mention the Supreme Court nominee’s legal qualifications, or judicial philosophy, or ability to perform one of the most important jobs in the country. He didn’t even tell us if she was a nice person. All he said was she’s gonna be Black and she’s gonna be female. Because to him that’s all that matters.”

To no one’s surprise, Carlson is lying. Biden has often spoken of the qualifications required to be a Supreme Court Justice. He has likewise expressed his opinions about judicial philosophy. Carlson’s attention span is limited to only what will fit his miniscule and pre-determined mindset. But he wasn’t through making an asinine bigot of himself. He felt it necessary to prove his ability to muddy any discourse with patently idiotic rhetoric:

“Where is Biden’s Pacific Islander nominee? Why isn’t there an American Indian on the court? Or a gender queer? Or someone from the chronic fatigue syndrome community. Or a justice with cognitive disabilities? Why isn’t there an Afghan refugee under consideration? You can laugh, but suddenly these are entirely fair questions.”

Indeed, we can laugh. But we’re laughing at Carlson (as usual), not with him. However, his ludicrous assertions that every possible demographic minority be represented on a nine person panel isn’t really funny. It is offensive. Particularly to the Black Americans who have been underrepresented and/or excluded from such institutions for decades. And Carlson seems to think that efforts to provide equity are illegitimate if they don’t include people like him (i.e. those with cognitive disabilities).

Carlson went on to mock Biden’s intention to have a judiciary that “looks like America.” And he took the time to malign the qualifications of each of the potential nominees being considered. He concluded, in his blatant bigotry, that not a single one of these accomplished Black women were suited to sit on the Court. But he did have another infantile suggestion:

“So you have to wonder at this point, since we’re going by skin color and gender, why Joe Biden is ignoring the obvious choice. Why doesn’t Joe Biden strike a real blow for equity and nominate Bridget Floyd? That was George Floyd’s sister. She is not a judge or a lawyer or whatever, but in this case, who cares? Clearly, that’s not the point anymore – this law stuff.”

No offense to Ms. Floyd, but she isn’t a serious contender for this post. Nevertheless, that’s the level of seriousness with which Carlson takes these matters. He purposefully turns the discussion into a farce, because that’s where his brand of obnoxious idiocy works best. He could never engage in a substantive debate because his intellectual skills are too riddled with rancor and loathing. And that’s just what he was hired to peddle to the prejudiced pissants who watch Fox News by the prejudiced posers who run it.

UPDATE: For Carlson’s benefit, here is what President Biden said in his official announcement regarding the appointment of a nominee to fill the seat of Justice Breyer:

“The person I will nominate will be someone with extraordinary qualifications, character, experience, and integrity, and that person will be the first Black woman ever nominated to the United States Supreme Court.”

  1. “the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome community”?? (Excuse me?!!) Fuck-off, Fucker Carlson!
1st of all, that’s “CFS” to you, asshole!
2nd ~ there are various causes for it; we share a debilitating symptom & don’t actually have a “community”. Guess why? Too damn exhausted to get together, stupid! Any brief energy we have is spent on things we need to do, B4 overcome by pain & fatigue again.
I usually say I wouldn’t wish this on anyone, but I make an exception for you *ucker ~ hope you get solid case of it, so you understand what your facial sphincter spews out! May God Give you ample time & insight to think about all the harm you’ve done to so many people. Usually, find you have CFS after getting over a virus. Virus goes, extreme fatigue stays. You’re never the same as B4; it’s for life – unless you’re just lazy & faking it?!
It does however give you time to lay there & think about stuff when not asleep, since body won’t let you do much at all!
God Loves irony, so maybe you’ll get it from Covid virus. You’ll need to hire someone to cook & clean for ya’ – you’ll barely have the energy to heat up 1 of those lousy Swanson dinners!

  2. Tuckeroo is indeed the “facial sphincter” spewing the hatred and lies on Fox, but he’s just the on-screen dummy for those deranged ventriloquists in the wings: Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch. Everything that Fox is and does is down to them.

    • Agreed! They set the tone & project the attitude that spews forth from their filthy propaganda network. (fpn?!)
I’m always curious at the hatred, animosity & vitriol that those 2 Murdochs have for the world at large. You’d think that so much privilege & blessings would maybe soften the sharp edges (& tongues)…
I’d normally feel empathy for such people, but can’t muster up any such feelings for the 2 of them ~ Nor do I have any for those who represent them on-air! They can all go to hell in the same handbasket… I’ll even provide them the handbasket & a swift push/kick in the right direction!

There is another Murdoch son however, who’s not at all like those 2 ~ must’ve been hellish for him in that household/family! He is nothing like his dad & brother… Is much better person, which would’ve made life tough with those 2 overbearing asses. That’s the only Murdoch I have any respect & compassion for. I hope he’s having a good life far away from those 2!

  3. His ridiculous reasoning is simply a replica of the “argument” proffered by those who are against Same Sex Marriage. Those idiots spew the simpleton’s view that if same sex marriage were allowed, then it follows that next a man will marry a dog or a cow, or that three or four people will wed at the same time. It’s a ridiculous premise, just as Carlson saying that next we will have to nominate someone from every single category of humanity is. A Chronic Fatigue Syndrome nominee? A Pacific Islander nominee? First of all, what would be wrong with opening the pool of nominees to every type of person? As long as they are qualified for the position? It’s another Republican red herring. Carlson is revolting at best.
