Right-Wing Crybabies Should Obey The Law Or STFU

Is there a double standard in the wingnut press for criminal activity? Well, whenever a Democrat is accused of littering, the conservative slander machine cranks up to full volume and escalates the crime to treason while insisting, without evidence, that President Obama masterminded the whole affair. However, if a Republican is found to have committed real and serious violations of the law, the Right Guard springs into action to either dismiss or deny the crimes, no matter how strong the evidence. The malfeasance in office of Republican governors Chris Christie of New Jersey, and Bob McDonnell of Virgina, are good examples of conservative lawbreakers who get taken under the protective wing of the rightist media when trouble arises.

Additional examples include a trio of conservative crooks who have recently been caught misbehaving, and in all three cases they have been treated as victims of a White House cabal determined to clamp down on the liberty of well-meaning patriots. The lie-riddled Fox Nation website went so far as to ask “Is There A COORDINATED VAST LEFT-WING CONSPIRACY?” They never bothered to answer the question or provide any support for the theory, but they did plant the notion into the minds of their already paranoid audience that these poor souls are suffering under the boot of tyranny:

Dinesh D’Souza

As the director of the bitterly anti-Obama crocumentary, “2016 Obama’s America,” D’Souza has demonstrated his ego-soaked self-absorption by whimpering about not getting the Academy attention he so fervently believes he deserved. And if that weren’t repugnant enough, he also insulted the filmmakers who did get Oscar nods.

Yesterday D’Souza was indicted for breaking campaign finance laws. The allegation states that he solicited people to donate up to $20,000 to a Republican senate candidate in New York, then reimbursed them for the expense. Federal law prohibits any single donor to contribute more than $5,000 to a candidate in any election cycle.

Today D’Souza is whining about being harassed by the feds and Fox News led with a headline that asked whether he was the subject of “selective” prosecution. But if he doesn’t want to be bothered by law enforcement, he should try not breaking the law.

Friends of Abe

The Friends of Abe are a clandestine group of Hollywood celebrities who advocate on behalf of conservative politicians and issues. Many of them keep their identities secret because they fear being discriminated against by liberals in “The Biz.” Some of the conservative actors who claim to be victims of oppression include Kelsey Grammer, Bruce Willis, Tom Selleck, Patricia Heaton, and Clint Eastwood.

Now a report says that the group is being asked by the IRS to certify their non-political status in order to be granted a tax exemption for donors. That led the head of the group to the friendly studios of Fox News to complain that they were being targeted for their political beliefs. Well, that’s actually true. It is because of their obvious involvement in politics that the IRS is legally obligated to give them further scrutiny. There is ample evidence of their partisan activities, and if they don’t want to be challenged on that basis, they should not be so overtly partisan.

James O’Keefe

Fancying himself an investigative reporter, O’Keefe has made a career of lying about progressive people and organizations. His exploits already got him in trouble with the law when he was arrested and convicted for unlawful activity in the office of a U.S. senator in Louisiana. His infamous videos have been proven to be deceitfully edited in order to smear the reputations of his victims. His best known crusade against ACORN proved nothing and the group was never found to have broken any law. However, O’Keefe was forced to pay a $100,000 settlement to a former ACORN employee who sued him for defamation.

Typical of the whiny personality he exudes, O’Keefe is now complaining about a summons he received from the Department of Labor in New York to ascertain whether he was properly paying taxes for the state unemployment insurance fund. O’Keefe has called the request a witch hunt, but he has also said that he will be relocating to New Jersey. Is that his way of evading justice? If he is so certain that his finances are in order, he should simply provide the exonerating documents and go back to libeling the liberals he despises.

There was a time when Republicans were known as the “law and order” party. But when you have characters like these getting caught for unlawful conduct, and their accomplices in the media excusing and/or forgiving their behavior, it is impossible to take seriously their claims of innocence and purity. They have a deep aversion to taking accountability for their actions. And in avoiding responsibility, they resort to the most childish form of griping and blaming others for their woes. The GOP has flipped from being the “law and order” party to being the “whine and blame” party.

Hack Producer Of Anti-Obama Crockumentary To Motion Picture Academy Board: Dump Michael Moore

In the annals of Hollywood crybaby sagas, none climb to heights as high as those by the right-wing hissy-fitters responsible for 2016: Obama’s America. This alleged documentary starred, and was based on the book by, conservative shill Dinesh D’Zouza. It had some success at the box office due to the gullibility of Teabagging moviegoers, but was universally panned by objective critics, and its standards for accuracy and honesty were of the toilet bowl variety.

Nevertheless, the producers were so convinced of their own brilliance that they fumed when they did not get recognition from the documentary branch members of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences – who obviously know better. And now producer Gerald Molen has formalized his objections in a letter to the Academy that asks them to remove Governing Board member, and respected documentarian, Michael Moore from his post.

Fox Nation - Newsbusters

Unfortunately, this vacant bleating is nothing more than a lame cry for attention that fails to take into consideration that Moore has only one vote out of 172 members of the Academy’s documentary branch. He has no other role in choosing the winners or even selecting the nominees.

Molen’s letter made some rather egregious errors in enumerating the reasons for his pique. In addition to his ridiculous charge that Moore was among “the gatekeepers in charge of which films get nominated,” he repeatedly notes that the box office returns for his film count in some way toward whether it should be nominated for an Oscar. However, there is no correlation between financial success and creative merit. In fact, last year the next two highest grossing documentaries were “Chimpanzee” and “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” but neither of them received Oscar nominations either. Even Moore’s last film, “Capitalism: A Love Story,” was not in Oscar contention despite being one of the biggest moneymakers of all time. Yet you didn’t hear any of these filmmakers whining about bias.

Molen complained in his letter that he was the victim of political bias saying, “Like many who enjoyed and commented on the film, I find myself wondering if it was excluded for ‘other’ reasons.” Indeed, it was. However the ‘other’ reasons had to do with how badly it sucked, as well as how poorly it adhered to the standards of truth-telling that determines the quality of a documentary feature. These reasons were articulated more diplomatically by the Academy in their response to Molen:

“We’ve discussed your letter and the concerns you raise. First of all, I want to assure you that 2016: Obama’s America was treated the same as all the other 125 films that were submitted in the Feature Documentary category for the most recent Academy Awards. Your film definitely received consideration and it was not ignored. It merely didn’t get the votes it needed to move onto the short list.”

Molen’s bitchfest was predictably taken up by Fox News on their lie-riddled Fox Nation web site. In an article sourced to the ultra-rightist NewsBusters, they regurgitated Molen’s complaints and expressed their disapproval that the documentary that won last year’s Oscar, “Searching for Sugar Man” was an undeserving winner because “‘2016’ sold ten times as many tickets.” Once again, they are mistaking money for merit, a common logical flaw suffered by conservatives.

This sort of unseemly sniveling by right-wing losers is nothing new. Specifically with regard to ‘2016,’ the principle character, Dinesh D’Souza threw a similarly distasteful tantrum just prior to the Oscar program last February. Instead of demonstrating some class and an appreciation for his fellow filmmakers, D’Souza rudely insulted them saying…

“I join most Americans in leaving them in deserved obscurity. I haven’t heard of any of them, and like most people, I haven’t seen them.”

How he determined that the nominees deserved obscurity without having even seen them is a mystery and says more about him than it does about the films. But the juvenile consistency shown by Molen and D’Souza is evidence of just how low these cretins will sink to unfairly disparage other artists in pursuit of their own ego-soaked self-interest.

D’Souza’s America: Conservative Crybaby Whines About Oscar Snub

Finally, Oscar Sunday is right around the corner. And what better time for a right-wing loser to whine to the press about how the Academy failed to recognize his brilliance and shower him with undeserved praise?

Dinesh D’Souza turned his critically reviled book of falsehoods about President Obama into a crockumentary called “2016: Obama’s America.” While the film found an audience of gullible Teabaggers anxious to consume anything derogatory about the President, more sensible viewers found the film to be riddled with lies and fabricated mythology.

Not surprisingly, a so-called documentary that failed to adhere to the most basic tenets of truth, also failed to garner much support for recognition by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Thinly veiled propaganda screeds that have no factual basis rarely win Oscars.

Rather than exhibiting some measure of dignity and enjoying the financial rewards of making a film popular with conspiracy nuts, D’Souza has chosen to blast the Academy and its members as hopelessly biased for not seeing what a humongous slab of talent he is. Even worse, D’Souza slammed the filmmakers who actually did produce works of quality that earned them Oscar nominations.

D’Souza: I join most Americans in leaving them in deserved obscurity. I haven’t heard of any of them, and like most people, I haven’t seen them.

What class. And what a demonstration of intellectual integrity he shows by disparaging films he admits he has not even seen. Then again, what more should we expect from a man who was forced to resign as the head of King’s College (a Christian institution) for having an affair, which he denied even as he admitted that he was engaged to a woman who was not his wife.

Dinesh D'Souza

In the hypocritical world of sanctimonious piety peddlers, preachers embroiled in sex scandals, like Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard are forgiven. Politicians like Larry Craig, Mark Sanford, and David Vitter, who have had to explain their own adulteries and whore mongering, know that Fox News will always be there to defend them. Every conservative sinner is granted a “Get Out of Hell Free” card. Too bad they don’t have their own Oscars (yet) to award themselves statuettes for Best Smear Job by a Dishonest Hack.

The Fox News Confessional: Dinesh D’Souza Begs Forgiveness

Pray for Fox NewsMost news editorial pages are devoted to expressing opinions on issues of significance to the public. However, as with everything else related to journalistic ethics, Fox News has different perspective.

Dinesh D’Souza, the director of the widely debunked crocumentary, “2016: Obama’s America,” was recently accused of having an extra-marital affair and brandishing his new, young, blonde, fiance in public. D’Souza, it should also be noted, is the president of King’s College, a Christian institution on Manhattan. [Update: The King’s College board announced this morning that D’Souza has resigned amid allegations of infidelity] The charges against D’Souza swirled around conservative circles due to the sensitive nature of a devout, right-wing, demagogue being caught with his pants down (again).

Of course, this is far from a unique occurrence in the hypocritical world of sanctimonious piety peddlers. Preachers like Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard have been been embroiled in sex scandals. Politicians like Larry Craig, Mark Sanford, and David Vitter, have had to explain their adulteries and whore mongering. And Fox News was always there to defend them. In the case of thrice-wed Catholic Newt Gingrich, Fox’s own psycho analyst, Keith Ablow, actually wrote a column arguing that America would be stronger under Gingrich precisely because of his multiple sins.

What’s interesting about this, however, is that Fox News has given D’Souza a platform to press his case for absolution. Posted as an “opinion” column, the headline declared “‘2016: Obama’s America’ filmmaker — I am not having an affair.”

Fox News D'Souza Affair

Well then, that’s a relief. Apparently D’Souza was separated from his wife while he was prancing around with his new squeeze. And he was unaware that getting engaged while still married was verboten in the Jesus-sphere. [Update: D’Souza’s mistress was also married] D’Souza’s article is nothing more than a rebuttal of personal allegations of infidelity. Why is that a subject for an editorial published by a so-called “news” enterprise?

This is further evidence that the word “news” has no business being associated with anything Fox does. They have a mission that is in stark contrast to what the rest of the world calls journalism. Now it’s not enough that Fox is a blatantly biased mouthpiece for hardcore, right-wingism, but it is also assuming the role of confessor, where wayward Republicans can be redeemed by its magic glow.
