‘What Fox News Has Created is a Market For Crazy’ – Truth Bomb From Down Under

The vast majority of the American people recognize that Fox News is a deceitful cabal of propagandists bent on advancing the interests of radical Republicans and Trump cultists. Never mind the ratings. While Fox Entertainment is leading the other legitimate news networks, that’s only because they have a near monopoly on the right-wing fringe. Their actual penetration into the population at large is only about one percent.

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

Nevertheless, Fox News is deliberately dividing the nation on behalf the corporations and wealthy elites they represent. And they have an impact because other media parrots their partisan rhetoric and helps to disseminate their lies. But they aren’t fooling everyone, and especially not the leaders of foreign countries that have their own problems with Rupert Murdoch’s media.

Case in point, on CNN’s Reliable Sources Sunday morning, Malcolm Turnbull, the former Prime Minister of Australia, Murdoch’s birthplace, explained to host Brian Stelter why Fox News is so dangerous (video below). And he wasn’t mincing words:

“What Murdoch has delivered largely through Fox News in the United States is exactly what Vladimir Putin wanted to achieve with his disinformation campaigns. Turning one part of America against another. So exacerbating the divisions that already exist in American society and undermine the trust Americans have in their Democratic institutions. That was the objective of the Russian disinformation campaign. And that is exactly what is being delivered by Fox News, and by other players in that right-wing populace media ecosystem.”

Exactly! And Turnbull’s commentary applies just as much to Donald Trump as it does to Fox News. The talk of “collusion” during the first impeachment of Trump barely scratched the surface of the conspiracy that engulfed Trump, Russia, and Fox News. They were (and still are) all working toward the same ends: Turning Americans against each other and their country. Turnbull continued saying that…

“What they have created is a market for crazy. They’ve become unhinged from the facts. It is now, basically, they’ve worked out that you can just make stuff up. Everyone talks about and complains about social media. But what is being done by curated media, mainstream media – including, and in particular, Fox News – has done enormous damage to the United States.”

The evidence of the ultra “crazy” market that Fox News created is all too apparent in the Trump insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th. It is apparent in the adoption of QAnon insanity by many on the right, including the QAnon supporting primetime host, Tucker Carlson. And it couldn’t be more obvious than when Fox News denies that the GOP is the party of QAnon.

Turnbull concluded by asking whether America is “a more divided country than it was before, thanks to Murdoch’s influence?” The answer is an unequivocal “Yes!” Murdoch is a foreign-born domestic terrorist who has never had the best interests of the nation at heart. To the contrary, he has spent his lifetime attempting to pervert democracies in order to empower the oligarchs and enrich himself.

The harm done by Fox News is extensive and destructive. And Trump is just as responsible for it as Murdoch and his treasonous media manipulators. They have been executing the agenda of Vladimir Putin, who couldn’t be more pleased with the efforts by Trump and Fox News. And they must be called out at every opportunity for their betrayal.

Fox News UnHistory: Tucker Carlson’s Lie-Riddled Mangling of the Capitol Insurrection

On any given day Fox News can be expected to air copious amounts of purposefully distorted diatribes aimed at the “radical liberals” that they imagine are invading their precious white nationalist utopia. The network’s bias emanates directly from its CEO, Lachlan Murdoch, who actually declared publicly that he considers it Fox’s mission to be the opposition to the Biden administration.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

However, the ultra-conservatism that infects Fox News is most prominently displayed by its most dangerous purveyor of inflammatory falsehoods, Tucker Carlson. His program is a daily assault on reality that seeks to trigger the already stewing hostilities of his anger-primed audience.

On Tuesday’s episode, Carlson spent part of his tele-tantrum defending and lying about the violent and deadly January 6th Capitol riots by Donald Trump’s insurrectionists. It was a startlingly benign – and arrogantly sarcastic – rewriting of recent history to portray the riots as patriotic. And it’s part of the reason why, in a recent poll, half of Republicans said that they believe the Capitol riots were “mostly peaceful.”

Carlson correctly, albeit facetiously, referred to the riots as a “white supremacist, QAnon insurrection” (which he actually supports). What follows is an annotated transcript of Carlson’s fantastical misrepresentation of a day of domestic terrorism. He begins with an absurd retelling of events that is drenched in the sarcasm that he exudes throughout the rant (video below).

“A mob of older people from unfashionable zip codes somehow made it all the way to Washington, D.C. Probably by bus. They wandered freely through the Capitol like it was their building or something.”

Carlson is portraying the United States Congress as an open facility that can be freely overrun by armed marauders. He ignores the fact that these cretins didn’t waltz in peacefully through the entrance, but trampled barricades, battered down doors, broke windows, and assaulted police officers, to gain entry to private areas that are not open to the public.

“They didn’t have guns, but a lot of them had extremely dangerous ideas. They talked about the Constitution and something called ‘their rights.’ Some of them made openly seditious claims. They insisted, for example, that the last election was not entirely fair. And then, as you’ve been told so very often, they committed unspeakable acts of violence.”

Actually, many of the rioters were armed. They had guns, bombs, clubs, tasers, mace, and other implements of violence that they used against outnumbered police. None of them were talking about the Constitution. In fact they were violating it as they sought to prevent the Congress from certifying the election results as mandated by the Constitution.

They also were not “insisting” that “the last election was not entirely fair.” They were violently imposing their delusional beliefs that the election was “stolen,” just as their Dear Leader Trump had told them. And once again, Carlson’s downplaying of what he mockingly refers to as “unspeakable acts of violence” ignores the very real unspeakable acts of violence that resulted in injuries to more than 140 police officers, killing at least one.

“By the time thousands of soldiers arrived to restore order, an unarmed woman, an air force veteran, lay dead. To this day that woman is the one completely verified casualty of the insurrection. The only person whose death we can say definitively was caused by specific events on January 6th.”

Here Carlson is snidely maligning the National Guard troops that came to help, but only after hours of intentional delay by Trump. The woman that was killed was an active rioter who was forcibly trespassing along with a few hundred of her confederates. And as noted previously, she was not the only death definitively caused by the insurrectionists.

Carlson went on to suggest that the whole atrocity was notable only because the intended victims were Democrats. As if that makes violent rioting justifiable. He dismissed it all as “just hyperventilat[ing] about QAnon,” and portrayed the rioters amiably as “a group of sad, disenfranchised people who’ve been left out of the modern economy,” and who just wanted to be listened to – by savagely storming the seat of American democracy.

Tucker Carlson is an imminent threat to the security of this nation. He is openly advocating violence to achieve his white supremacist agenda. And while Fox News has defended itself in court against Carlson’s lies by arguing (successfully!) that, given his reputation, “no reasonable person” would believe his bullpucky, that doesn’t make him less dangerous or his goals less onerous. And Fox News is just as culpable by their continued support and promotion of his toxic ambitions.

Fox News Projection: Tucker Carlson Rants Incoherently About ‘Fearful’ Liberals

Concluding a week wherein Fox News was obsessively consumed with their contrived “cancel culture” outrages over Mr. Potato Head and Dr. Seuss, their star primetime bloviator, Tucker Carlson, unleashed a sweaty assault on the liberals he despises. Unsurprisingly, it revealed more about himself than his targets.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

The theme of Carlson’s psycho-sermon (video below) was that “Modern liberalism is not a coherent worldview […] It’s a deeply unhappy, high-strung personality type.” Anyone who has watched more than a few minutes of Carlson’s program recognizes that this is pure projection. It is also an accurate description of modern rightists as represented by Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and most of the talent(less) on Fox News. Carlson led off his rant by inventing a reality wherein…

“Liberals are a fearful group. The list of things American liberals are afraid of can fill an entire shelf of volumes. It would make an amusing reference set: The Encyclopedia of Liberal Neuroses Unabridged. Absolutely everything upsets liberals, agitates them, and inflames their allergies. Nature itself is a terrifying experience for liberals because they can’t control it.”

Really? If fear and anger are what’s triggering Carlson, he’s missing the real world by a light year or two. It isn’t liberals who have been whining about toys and children’s books for a solid week. It isn’t liberals who censured their own party members for thinking independently. It isn’t liberals who attended CPAC (the Conservative Political Action Cult), and cheered a hysterically angry and frightened Trump harangue. It’s obviously Carlson and his confederates who are upset, agitated, and inflamed, by anything and everything that even mildly criticizes their precious wingnut dogma. But Carlson really skidded off the tracks when he declared that…

“A lot of liberals were certain that March 4, was the day the right-wing revolution would finally begin. March 4, they believed, with something called ‘QAnon Inauguration Day.’ What is QAnon Inauguration Day? We have no idea, and we don’t know anyone who does.”

To be clear, Carlson is admitting that he’s an ignorant dickwad who has no comprehension of current events. That’s a distinct liability for someone on what purports to be a “news” network. He then goes on to describe how the crackpot QAnon conspiracy theory that he never heard of was actually very well known and even warned about by Republicans in Congress. Yet somehow, Carlson – and everyone he knows – never heard of it.

Carlson also belittles the efforts of law enforcement and the National Guard, who prevented additional violence by the StormTrumpers in the days following the January 6th Trump Insurrection. He likens the National Guard to martinets of third-world tyrannical regimes. Is that his way of thanking them for their service?

Carlson suggests that providing security in the face of credible threats, validated by the FBI and Capitol Police, means that the concept of ruling by the consent of the governed is obsolete and anti-democratic. He believes that members of Congress should remain vulnerable to attacks by radical white nationalists or they aren’t really representing their constituents.

That’s really the bottom line for Carlson. He’s fearful and angry that he won’t be able to use force and threats to advance his racist ideology. And somehow Fox News continues to allow him to air this crap.

Where’s Trump? And Why Isn’t He Ordering His QAnon Troops to Stand Down on March 4?

It has been less than two months since Donald Trump’s Insurrectionist Brigades attacked Congress and the very heart of American democracy. Five people died, and many dozens more were injured. Trump’s incendiary rhetoric in the months and hours prior to the attack clearly show that his role was instrumental in inciting the violent mob.

Trump Charlotsville

Now there is another threat that looms over Washington, D.C. The same criminals who conducted the traitorous riots on January 6th are threatening more violence for March 4th. CNN reports that…

“US officials on Wednesday alerted lawmakers to a potential threat against the US Capitol on March 4, for which security has been enhanced as a precaution, less than two months after the Capitol complex was stormed and lawmakers’ lives were threatened by rioters.

“Information provided by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security warned of increased chatter among extremists, including members of the Three Percenters extremist group, discussing possible plots against the Capitol on March 4, a date that conspiracy theorists have focused on, according to sources familiar with the matter.”

This news raises more questions about where Trump stands in this war against America. We know that he did nothing to stop his seditious supporters on January 6th. And he’s being equally negligent now. Jake Tapper of CNN raised this question, asking Republican congressman Michael McCaul whether Trump has a responsibility to intervene:

Tapper: It seems to me that, whether we’re talking about the attack on January 6th or this possible attack tomorrow, President Trump – these people, these attackers worship him. They love him. They think that they’re doing this in his name. Do you think Donald Trump should be saying more forcefully, clearly. ‘I’m not gonna be inaugurated tomorrow. Joe Biden was elected fair and square.’ That could potentially quell a lot of these violent threats.
McCaul: President Trump has the responsibility to tell them to stand down. This threat is credible. It’s real. It’s a right-wing militia group that believes that because the original inauguration date was March 4th until the 20th Amendment passed, they think that this is the true inauguration day and that President Trump should be inaugurated tomorrow. And that is the threat we face right now.

Exactly! And yet, Trump is nowhere to be found. He could have a significant influence on the glassy-eyed disciples of his perverse cult. They are awaiting his orders. He could prevent more violence and harm. But he’s holed up in his Mar-a-Lago bunker and, not unlike his gross and deliberate inaction on January 6th, he’s probably enjoying the prospect of a horde of StormTrumpers breaking down doors, smashing windows, and shedding blood.

All Trump needs to do is stand before a camera and insist that his goons stay home and refrain from any violent activity. But Trump isn’t making that simple gesture. Why do you suppose that is?

Fox News Idiot Tucker Carlson: QAnon Doesn’t Exist Because He Can’t Find a Website

It isn’t necessary to scratch more than the surface to reveal the utter stupidity of most of the cretins on Fox News. But Tucker Carlson makes it even easier than the others by putting his moronic outbursts on public display with an extra heaping of pride.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, Q Shaman

On Tuesday night Carlson devoted a significant part of his nightly White Nationalist Hour to the premise that the conspiracy crackpots known as QAnon don’t actually exist (video below). Carlson said that he did the research and arrived at the conclusion that the whole thing was a figment of the media’s imagination. And the basis for that conclusions was that…

“We spent all day trying to locate the famous QAnon, which, in the end, we learned is not even a website, If it’s out there, we could not find it.”

Well then, that settles it. Right? Carlson’s journalistic prowess surely can’t be disputed. He went even further to claim that…

“We checked [GOP Rep.] Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Twitter feed because we have heard she traffics in disinformation, CNN told us, but nothing there. Next, we called our many friends in the tight-knit intel community. Could Vladimir Putin be putting this stuff out there? The Proud Boys? Alex Jones? Who is lying to America in ways that are certain to make us hate each other and certain to destroy our core institutions? Well, none of the above, actually. It wasn’t Marjorie Taylor Greene. It was cable news. It was politicians talking on TV. They’re the ones spreading disinformation to Americans. Maybe they are from QAnon.”

First of all, It isn’t unusual that a “movement” fronted by an anonymous character who makes bizarre allegations about Democrats being sex-trafficking baby eaters doesn’t have a website. But if Carlson had trouble finding them online, he either wasn’t trying very hard, or he’s borderline comatose. The fabled “Q” has been dropping his nonsense on dedicated wingnut web forums like 4chan for the past few years.

What’s more, Carlson is actually defending the likes of Vladimir Putin, the Proud Boys, and Alex Jones, as truthtellers. He mocks the very idea that they might be making up their preposterous horror stories. And he sarcastically puts down the media as being less credible than those notorious liars.

As for QAnon Rep. Greene, Carlson might not have found her tweets on the subject because she has spent the past several weeks deleting them. But anyone who was actually looking could find them. And here’s a thread of several videos of Greene talking up QAnon.

Something that Carlson fails to mention is that his Messiah, Donald Trump, has explicitly recognized the existence of QAnon. He even noted with pride his gratitude that “they like me very much, which I appreciate.” Is Carlson contradicting Trump now?

What makes Carlson’s QAnon denialism all the more ludicrous is that he has spent many televised hours acknowledging its existence himself, and even defending it. So obviously this tirade is pure bullpucky, staged to ensure that his dimwitted viewers remain ill-informed and rabid with misplaced anger. That way he and Fox News can continue to profit off of their lies while sowing division and anti-democratic propaganda.

Fox News Floats Reality-Defying Denial That the GOP is the ‘Party of QAnon’

The American people’s resolute rejection of Donald Trump last November marked a turning point for the nation that had been held captive by an anti-intellectual, truth-averse, doomsday cult. But that restoration of sanity still left behind a small but devoted constituency of crackpots determined to fight over the remnants of Trumpism.

Fox News, QAnon Logo

Not surprisingly, Fox News is greedily clinging these deranged deadenders. They are the most militant flank of the Republican Party. They are the violent seditionists who assaulted the Congress on January 6th. And they are what Fox News views as the core of their audience that they cannot afford to lose. Since November Fox’s ratings have suffered a sharp decline, putting them in third place behind CNN and MSNBC. Once loyal viewers, including Trump, have changed channels to smaller and even more extremist competitors like Newsmax and One America News Network (OANN).

For that reason, Fox News isn’t taking any chances with the audience they have left. However, they have to walk a fine line between unflinching loyalty to the Trump cult and keeping a distance from their most rabid disciples. Fox News has already made programming changes aimed at shoring up the conspiracy theorist demographic. At the same time they canceled Lou Dobbs, one of Trump’s most sycophantic boosters.

In keeping with their desperate and conflicted position, Fox News just published an article on their website that sought to put space between themselves and the Trump-loving QAnon kooks. The article falsely asserts that the media and Democrats have formed a pact to tarnish Republicans by sharing “the talking point that the Republicans are the party of QAnon.” The truth, however, is that Republicans are doing that all by themselves. The article employs a preposterous comparison, saying that…

“QAnon folks were Trump backers, but to equate that with the Republicans writ large is a bit like saying the Democrats are communists because factions of the old Communist Party USA endorsed a strategy of voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016.” […]

“No one ever would ask the Democrats to explicitly denounce the Communist Party endorsement because it’s ludicrous anyone would assume Democrats and Communists are the same thing.”

First of all, no Democrat has ever promoted the Communist Party. And if asked they would vigorously renounce it without hesitation. Which is distinctly unlike how Republicans pander to QAnon. However, the author implies that it would be unthinkable to imagine Republicans equating Democrats with communists. Apparently he hasn’t been listening to Trump, who has frequently accused Democrats of “want[ing] to turn America into Communist Cuba.”

More to the point, Republicans are the ones who have equated themselves with QAnon. Democrats had little to do with it. The GOP has members of Congress who openly describe themselves as followers of Q. Others refuse to denounce the obvious madness of the movement that believes Democrats and journalists are sex-trafficking baby-eaters. Trump himself is among those who failed to renounce QAnon, saying that “I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate […] These are people that love our country.”

The article quotes several right-wing media pundits who naturally downplay the QAnon prominence in the GOP. One claims that “that trust in the media eroded during Trump’s tenure in the White House and, as a result, Americans are more likely to believe outlandish and irrational theories.” It’s notable that nobody can offer examples of Democrats believing in anything approaching the outlandishness or irrationality of QAnon. They don’t even support the GOP boogeyman Antifa, which doesn’t actually exist.

Another wingnut pundit quoted in the article whined that Democrats are trying “to make it seem as if all members of the GOP, not just an infinitesimally small group, believe this nonsense.” Well, maybe not “all.” But last week 199 of them voted (unsuccessfully) to allow Marjorie Taylor Greene, an avowed Republican QAnon congresswoman, to keep her committee seats.

Fox News itself has been actively boosting QAnon. In a recent segment Maria Bartiromo walked GOP House Whip Steve Scalise down the QAnon path. Likewise, Tucker Carlson went to bat for both Greene and QAnon. So Fox News has no credible claim that they are not aiding and abetting the maniac mob. And in as much as Fox is the GOP’s Ministry of Disinformation, the Republican Party is just as tangled up with the movement as Fox is.

Senior Fox News Scold, Tucker Carlson, Comes to the Rescue of QAnon Crackpot Greene

The most gratingly annoying presence on the Fox News Channel is, without contest, the host of the network’s “White Nationalist Hour,” Tucker Carlson. And he’s dangerous too, as his fomenting of civil war last week attests. He has recently surpassed Trump-fluffer Sean Hannity in the ratings, although Fox’s entire primetime lineup is losing these days to both MSNBC and CNN.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

On Monday’s episode of Carlson’s nightly tirade (video below), he featured a segment that focused on defending the Republican Party’s newest star, Marjorie Taylor Greene. She has carved out a name for herself as the wingnuttiest Republican in a party that is crawling with wingnuts. It took Carlson a while to get around to the subject of his rant because he’s just got way too much idiocy to stuff into a single hour program.

Consequently, Carlson led off by taking a swipe at Washington, D.C. and their aspirations for statehood:

“The other day, for example, we learned that the Biden administration plans to make the tiny District of Columbia our 51st state, a more corrupt, English-speaking version of Monaco. As if lobbyists in Washington didn’t have enough control over your life, now they’ll be U.S. senators.”

Isn’t it quaint that Carlson regards the seat of America’s democracy as a third-world bastion of corrupt lobbyists. His ignorance is obvious since he has no idea who the residents of the District actually are. Nor does he know that its population is larger than that of Vermont and Wyoming. On the other hand, Carlson might know exactly who lives in the Distract and he’s just affirming his brazenly racist views and is scared that people of color might get representation in Congress for the first time.

However, Carlson only brought it up to twist the truth about the recent Trump Insurrection wherein hundreds of Trump cult disciples stormed the Capitol at his direction. And in the process he maligned our National Guard troops and completely distorted what actually took place:

“The troops came last month, tens of thousands of them. We were told they were going to protect the capital from the inevitable right-wing violence that would accompany Joe Biden’s inauguration. Then Joe Biden was inaugurated and there wasn’t any violence. Donald Trump didn’t chain himself to the North Portico. Trump voters didn’t rush the stage.”

The reason there wasn’t any violence is because the troops were there to prevent it. And because that worked so well, Carlson thinks there was no cause for concern to begin with. He would have been much happier if the troops were not there and he could have made up some nonsense about how Biden was responsible for more rioting in D.C.

Carlson eventually got to the point of his bonehead blathering, which was to defend the QAnon Congresswoman Greene, whose views he heartily shares. He was appalled that people were calling for her to resign or be expelled from Congress merely due to her heinous commentaries that ranged from saying that 9/11 was an inside job, to asserting that mass shootings of children were staged, to advocacy of assassinating Democratic leaders.

Carlson’s outraged stemmed from the fact that Greene’s election wasn’t being respected by her colleagues and/or the media. Which is peculiar since Carlson didn’t show much respect for Joe Biden’s election by a decisive majority of the American people. Carlson wholeheartedly supported Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” that the election was stolen, despite the absence of any shred of evidence.

In a state of deranged incoherence, Carlson asserted that it was CNN who “gets the veto” of Greene’s congressional service. He whined that “CNN says she has bad opinions. Therefore, she’s the greatest threat we face.” But CNN never said any of that. Nor is there any truth to his claim that CNN was “trying to get [his show] pulled off the air by force.” And Carlson managed to ignore the fact that even the GOP leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, regarded Greene as a kook saying that “Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country.”

Finally, Carlson condemned all Democrats as a party that “can only hang together by collectively throwing rocks at whomever happens to be at the center of the hate circle on a particular day.” Has he ever watched his own show? Or any other show on Fox News? Or listened to his Dear Leader Trump? “Throwing rocks at those you hate” is the network’s motto. It’s engraved in the cornerstone of the Fox News headquarters. And it’s what Carlson did throughout this televised harangue. As usual.

Tucker Carlson Defends Your Right To Believe That Democrats Eat Babies

The founding mission of Fox News was to advance the ultra-conservative agenda of its owner, Rupert Murdoch, and the Republican Party he supported. But in recent years it has shifted to an even more radical disseminator of propaganda on behalf of Donald Trump. And that has not waned in the weeks since Trump got his clock cleaned by Joe Biden.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson, QAnon

To the contrary, Fox News has actually made an even sharper turn to the right since the November election. They are devolving into paranoid whiners and elevating their most noxious Trump sycophants. And they have persisted in propagating Trump’s Big Lie of election fraud that resulted in the January 6th assault on Congress by Trump’s insurrectionists. It’s gotten so bad at Fox that even Rupert’s son, James, publicly denounced its “disinformation” and “toxic politics.”

No one on Fox News is more guilty of toxic, dishonest politics than Tucker Carlson. And on Monday night he seemed determined to prove that once and for all. Carlson aired a chilling monologue that he presented as an appeal for free speech and thought. And in a sick and twisted way, it was (video below).

Carlson’s segment sported a graphic that read “DEMS ARE TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT YOU BELIEVE,” although he never presented a single example of that. He began his demented dissertation on the dangers of censorship by sarcastically pronouncing that “The real threat is a forbidden idea, it’s something called QAnon.” Whereupon he played a video compilation of the media accurately condemning the conspiracy crackpottery of QAnon, a shadowy, dark web cabal of lunatics who believe that Democrats are sex-trafficking baby-eaters.

Carlson, however, has a different opinion. In his diseased mind he is protecting the freedom to malign public servants with bizarre and baseless accusations that would be preposterous in D- horror flick. To Carlson, the freedom to defame is a foundational American principle for which “the stakes could not be higher.”

Elaborating, Carlson said that “There’s a clear line between democracy and tyranny. Between self-government and dictatorship. And here’s what that line is: That line is your conscience.” He said that while government can tell people what to do, it cannot tell people what to think. “Once politicians attempt to tell you what to believe,” Carlson warned, “they are no longer politicians. They are, by definition, dictators. And if they succeed in controlling what you believe you are no longer a citizen. You are not a free man. You are a slave.”

Carlson clearly likes to imagine that he’s an intellectual thinker with profound insights. But it’s obvious that he’s teetering on the edge of clinical imbecility. Telling people what to believe is not a defining characteristic of dictatorships, that lean more toward force than belief. What Carlson is describing is a cult. Which is what Fox News viewers – including Carlson’s – are willing and pathetic members of.

Carlson’s tirade accused Democrats of having “joined the mob of censors and hysterics and Jacobin destroyers, all working on behalf of entrenched power, to take control of everything.” Never mind that he couldn’t cite any Democrats who espoused that alleged aspiration of tyranny. But then again, he doesn’t have to. Fox News lawyers actually argued successfully in court that Carlson cannot not be held liable for the lies he tells because he “cannot be understood to have been stating facts,” and that “given Mr. Carlson’s reputation, any reasonable viewer ‘arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism’ about the statements he makes.”

In other words, No reasonable viewer would believe Carlson’s BS. That’s according to the Fox News lawyer speaking on Carlson’s behalf. The problem is that Carlson doesn’t have any reasonable viewers. So the cult disciples he’s disinforming on a nightly basis will blindly buy into whatever he says.

The same goes for the rest of the professional liars at Fox News. And as Carlson said above, “If they succeed in controlling what you believe you are no longer a citizen. You are not a free man. You are a slave.” Sadly, Fox News has been pretty successful at controlling what their audience believes. As has Donald Trump. Even sadder, they enjoy being slaves.

Trump Seeks ‘Common Ground’ With Racist, Seditionist, Violent, Conspiracy Crackpots

Donald Trump is fond of bragging about being the bestest “whatever” he happens to be ranting about at any particular moment in time. Well now he can honestly say that he is the most impeached president ever – by far! I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it. He has twice the impeachments of any other president. He has impeachments like no one has ever seen before. So much impeachment that you’ll get tired of him getting impeached (doubtful).

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Donald Trump, MAGA

There should be automatic deportation, or at least incarceration, for anyone impeached more than once. How many assaults on the country should be tolerated before there are tangible consequences? So far, Trump is getting a pass for his treason and is attempting to whitewash his crimes.

In response to his record setting impeachedness, Trump released a video in which he claimed to be shocked by the violence that he purposefully incited (and continues doing so). He is now calling for the tensions he recklessly inflamed to be calmed. It will be interesting to see if his glassy-eyed cult disciples comply with this request, or if they are now an autonomous mob of anti-American Trumpian insurrectionists who defy even their Dear Leader’s pathetic and disingenuous appeals.

In addition to Trump’s desperate grasping at legal absolution in his video, he couldn’t resist lashing out (again) at social media for finally taking action against him and his supporters who have been advocating and orchestrating violence. It’s telling that Trump couldn’t just admonish those committing violence in his name and leave it at that. Nope. His ego raised up to interrupt this message and whine about being deservedly banned by Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, et al. However, his crybaby tirade only made things worse. He asserted that he was “calling on all Americans to overcome the passions of the moment, and join together as one American people.” Elaborating, he said that…

“I also want to say a few words about the unprecedented assault on free speech, we have seen in recent days. These are tense and difficult times. The efforts to censor, cancel, and blacklist our fellow citizens are wrong and they are dangerous. What is needed now is for us to listen to one another, not to silence one another. All of us can choose by our actions to rise above the rancor and find common ground and shared purpose. We must focus on advancing the interests of the whole nation.”

Don’t be fooled. Trump, who has repeatedly maligned the free press as “the enemy of the people,” is not suddenly concerned about some generalized “assault on free speech.” He is only concerned about himself and is upset that he can’t tweet anymore. However, his self-serving invective is revealing when you know who he is so anxious to find “common ground and shared purpose” with.

The parties Trump is coming to the defense of are predominantly the perpetrators of violence and disseminators of dangerously dishonest conspiracy theories. They are QAnon, Stop the Steal, and other deviant purveyors of lies, and agitators like Alex Jones. You cannot “rise above the rancor” if those for whom you are advocating are the most vile and rancorous instigators.

What’s more, Trump’s criticism of “efforts to censor, cancel, and blacklist,” can’t be taken seriously. He is the King of Cancel Culture. He will demand that any person or company or organization that doesn’t unreservedly worship him be banished from society. He has explicitly called for boycotts of “offenders” at least ten times, mostly against American businesses such as Harley-Davidson, CNN, Apple, Macy’s, Univision, Mexico, HBO, Rolling Stone, AT&T, and even Fox News.

It is most definitely not the time to listen to the racists, seditionists, and conspiracy crackpots with whom Trump is so closely aligned. To the contrary, they must be driven out of the public discourse. Trump’s efforts to prop them up in the midst of a speech that is allegedly calling for peace is further proof of his unapologetic hypocrisy and/or severe dementia.

Trumpy the Conspiracy Clown Embraces Birtherism and QAnon

Of all the ways that Donald Trump has defiled the office of the presidency, among the most disturbing is his mainstreaming of conspiracy theories and the freak jobs who promote them. He frequently expresses his concurrence with bizarre and fantastical concoctions that range from cannibal child sex trafficking to staged mass murders.

Donald Trump, Pennywise

On Friday Trump held another in a series of reelection campaign events that he thries to pretend are press conferences (which the media really needs to stop covering). And in this episode of the reality TV president’s lie-fest, he was asked directly if he agrees with Republican congressional candidate Marjorie Taylor Greene, who openly supports the QAnon conspiracy cult. Trump replied…

“She did very well in the election. She won by a lot. She’s very popular… She had a tremendous victory. And so absolutely. I did congratulate her.”

And there you have it. Trump “absolutely” agrees with QAnon. And to prove it, he reiterated his support for the QAnon candidate. This is an unambiguous embrace of what the FBI warned is a domestic terrorism threat.”

This “press conference” waded into uncharted waters for other reasons as well. Trump was asked a question by Fox News corespondent John Roberts about his purposeful dismantling of the Postal Service. Trump ignored the question and launched into an ad hominem attack on Democrats. Then he called on a “reporter” from the ultra-wingnut Gateway Pundit website. Trump’s press briefing room regularly hosts such fakers, including a “reporter” from One America News Network (OANN). They are not members of the White House Press Corps, and are only there by special invitation of the press secretary.

The press avail lasted a total of nineteen minutes. He spent the first ten minutes dryly reading data from a prepared text, most of which was riddled with provable lies. The question period consumed only nine minutes. This abbreviated affair is further proof that Trump’s fear is overwhelming his obsession for attention.

During yesterday’s session, Trump was asked if he regrets all the lying he’s done to the American people. He didn’t even have the fortitude to deny that he’s a liar. He simply pretended the question wasn’t asked and moved on.

Trump was also asked (by the OANN shill) about a ludicrous allegation that Kamala Harris isn’t eligible to run for vice-president because her parents were immigrants. Trump actually muddied that up into a false assertion that she wasn’t born in the U.S. Of course, Harris was born in Oakland, California, and her parents immigration status (which was legal) has nothing to do with candidacy eligibility.

Trump’s reintroduction of birtherism into the campaign, and his adoption of the criminal QAnon garbage, is evidence of how far he has strayed from any semblance of coherent political discourse. He is so scared of his imminent defeat – and the legal jeopardy that will follow – that he’s bursting at the seams of sanity. And the American people can see it.

What’s worse is that his Republican confederates are either silent or supportive of his dangerous derangement. And as frightening as all of this is, it is still bound to get worse before November third. So buckle your seat belts. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
