Text Messages By Hannity and Others at Fox News Prove Their Corrupt Collusion with Trump’s GOP

The uncommonly tight integration of Fox News to the Republican Party has been conspicuously apparent for years. It was, in fact, its intended purpose when it was concocted by a right-wing media baron (Rupert Murdoch) and a GOP media consultant (Roger Ailes). There was never any question that it would serve to advance the goals of the ultra-conservative cabal that built it and populated its program schedule.

Fox News, Sean Hannity

However, it recent years that political partnership grew even closer as Fox News fused ever more tightly to the personality cult of Donald Trump. The worshipful devotion to the former reality TV game show host, and twice impeached crime family boss, was central to the editorial slant of every story Fox produced. And the unflinching faithfulness exhibited by the network’s apostles of Trumpism was on display 24/7.

RELATED: Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

That wholly unethical relationship has now been affirmed in the words of the Trump disciples and their interactions with his closest associates. CNN has published text messages that were exchanged between Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and numerous Fox News Trump-fluffers. According to CNN

“Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Fox’s Sean Hannity exchanged more than 80 text messages between Election Day 2020 and Joe Biden’s January 2021 inauguration, communications that show Hannity’s evolution from staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump’s election lies to being “fed up” with the “lunatics” hurting Trump’s cause in the days before January 6.” […]

“While the logs show Meadows communicating with multiple Fox personalities, as well as a number of journalists from other organizations, Hannity stands out with 82 messages.” […]

“In addition to Hannity, Fox’s Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, Maria Bartiromo and Brian Kilmeade all sent messages to Meadows as well.”

The perverse affection that Hannity has for Trump stands out, even among a pack of rabid Trumpists. His communications with Meadows reveal their scheming to orchestrate Trump’s occupation of the White House.

Following the election, Hannity and Meadows continued pursuing the “Big Lie” that the election was “rigged,” and sought to manufacture evidence of voting fraud. That was evident in this exchange…

Hannity: I’ve had my team digging into the numbers. There is no way Biden got these numbers. Just mathematically impossible. It’s so sad for this country they can pull this off in 2020. We need a major breakthrough, a video, something.
Meadows: You’re exactly right. Working on breakthrough.
Hannity: Ok. Would be phenomenal.

Hannity also disclosed that he had produced an advertisement for Trump. “I was screaming about no ads from Labor Day on,” Hannity complained. “I made my own they never ran it.” Shortly thereafter Meadows asked Hannity for the phone number of Fox’s CEO so that he could talk to her secretly. “Send me Suzanne Scott’s number if you can,” Meadows texted. “I can call through switchboard but that makes it a bigger deal.”

Hannity urged Meadows to engage more with Fox News. “You also need to spend at least half your time doing business with us.” Presumably so that he could get more pithy political assessments like this: “I am not particularly optimistic for the future. Biden is a semi conscious corpse, and he will be controlled by a very radical left wing element.”

RELATED: Maria Bartiromo Barks Out Bizarro Rant on Fox News About Biden Seeing Putin as a – Partner?

Joining Hannity in this text-fest was his Fox colleague, Maria Bartiromo. She actually texted Meadows the questions she intended to ask Trump prior to her post-election interview. Bartiromo wrote…

“Hi the public wants to know he will fight this. They want to hear a path to victory. & he’s in control. 1Q You’ve said MANY TIMES THIS ELECTION IS RIGGED… And the facts are on your side. Let’s start there. What are the facts? Characterize what took place here.”

And this is the nearly verbatim question that Bartiromo asked Trump…

“Mr. President, you have said many times that this election was rigged, that there was much fraud, and the facts are on your side. Let’s start there. Please go through the facts, characterize what took place.”

These texts are further proof that Fox “News” is not – and never has been – a news network. They are a propaganda machine for Trump and the GOP. If Rachel Maddow had been discovered coordinating with President Biden and Democrats in this fashion, MSNBC would have fired her immediately. But don’t hold your breath expecting Hannity, Bartiromo, or anyone else at Fox being fired, reprimanded, or even tenderly slapped on the wrist. It’s more likely they will get a raise and a promotion.

Texts Show Sean Hannity Was Taking Orders From Trump Team to Steal the Election

For the past sixteen months Donald Trump has been viscerally obsessed with having decisively lost the presidency to Joe Biden. And his all-consuming humiliation has resulted in a relentless fit of rage as he desperately crusades to convince his cult followers that the election was “rigged” and “stolen” from him.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

Throughout this prolonged temper tantrum, Trump has the unflinching support of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. The “Big Lie” that the election was rigged is regurgitated every day by Fox’s devoted Trump-fluffers. Never mind that neither Fox News nor Trump has been able to provide a scintilla of evidence of fraud. To the contrary, they repeatedly put forth blatantly bogus examples of alleged proof that are easily refuted.

RELATED: Trump Posts ‘Foolproof’ Evidence that the Election Was ‘Rigged’ But it’s Only Proof for Fools

On Monday morning CNN published over 2,300 never before seen texts messages that they obtained from Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows. Among them were conversations between Meadows and Fox News hack, Sean Hannity. The substance of their discussions further documents the unsavory marriage of Fox and Trump as they endeavor to undermine democracy. CNN reports that…

“CNN has obtained 2,319 text messages that former President Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff Mark Meadows sent and received between Election Day 2020 and President Joe Biden’s January 20, 2021 inauguration.

The vast trove of texts offers the most revealing picture to date of how Trump’s inner circle, supporters and Republican lawmakers worked behind the scenes to try to overturn the election results and then reacted to the violence that effort unleashed at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.” […]

“The never-before-seen texts include messages from Trump’s family — daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and son Donald Trump Jr. — as well as White House and campaign officials, Cabinet members, Republican Party leaders, January 6 rally organizers, Rudy Giuliani, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, Sean Hannity and other Fox hosts. There are also text exchanges with more than 40 current and former Republican members of Congress, including Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.”

The texts exchanged between Hannity and Meadows are especially illuminating. They show that Hannity was both advising and taking orders from the Trump team. According to CNN…

“Among Meadows’ most frequent interactions were those with Fox’s Sean Hannity, a well-known friend of Trump. Throughout the logs, Hannity both gives advice and asks for direction.

“On the afternoon of Election Day, Hannity texted Meadows to ask about turnout in North Carolina.
Meadows responded: ‘Stress every vote matters. Get out and vote.’

“Yes sir,” Hannity replied. “On it. Any place in particular we need a push.”

“Pennsylvania. NC AZ,” Meadows wrote. “Nevada.”

“Got it. Everywhere,” Hannity said.”

“Yes sir!”? So Hannity was coordinating strategy with Trump’s chief of staff to steal the election from the American people. It’s bad enough when the host of a so-called “news” network openly advocates on behalf of a corrupt politician. It is another thing entirely to choreograph schemes with coup plotters. But that is precisely what Hannity is doing here. And it isn’t the first time. Hannity has appeared as a guest speaker at Trump rallies. And he has also appeared in campaign ads for Trump. [Note: These texts refer to Hannity coordinating “Get Out The Vote” efforts with Trump, but that is still wholly unethical, and he was still coordinating with coup plotters because the plot began before election day]

RELATED: Fox News Must Fire Sean Hannity for Refusing to Disclose His Relationship with Donald Trump

Among the other Meadows texts are messages from Marjorie Taylor Green urging Meadows to get Trump to declare “marshall” (sic) law. Ivanka Trump texting Meadows, Jared Kushner and others that “You are all WARRIORS of epic proportions! Keep the faith and the fight.” And Jim Jordan suggesting that Mike Pence should refuse to count electoral votes from states that Biden won. To which Meadows replied “I have pushed for this.”

RELATED: BUSTED! Donald Trump Jr Texted Mark Meadows With Illegal Schemes to Steal the Election

Surprisingly, Fox News actually aired a story on the Meadows text messages that CNN published. Not surprisingly, their story didn’t mention that any of those messages were to or from Sean Hannity. That’s a curious omission after deciding to report on the text messages at all.

However, it’s typical of the dishonesty and distortion that is so integral to how Fox News mangles journalism. When they aren’t lying about things that they cover, they deliberately refuse to cover things that aren’t aligned with their biases. Such as the news that Trump has been found in contempt of court by the Attorney General of state of New York.

Dementia-Addled Trump Descends Into Gibberish When Hannity Asks What He Would Do About Inflation

Poor Donald Trump. By his own account he is the world’s biggest victim. While he puts on airs of being a dominant alpha male, he whines like a colicky infant whenever anyone directs even the gentlest criticism at him. He literally bragged that he is the most fabulous whiner.”

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

Trump took a break from headlining his increasingly unpopular MAGA Cult Tour to visit with his BFF Sean Hannity on Wednesday. He could not have asked for a friendlier venue than the Fox News Primetime Trump-Fluffing Hour with a host who is best known for cravenly kissing his, let’s say ring.

Nevertheless, Trump managed to humiliate himself with his unartful dodge of a question that should have been a “gimme.” That’s surely what Hannity intended. But Trump is too cognitively deficient to field even a softball from a slobbering sycophant. Hannity set up the question by maligning President Biden and lying about the state of the economy. And that produced the following hysterical response to Hannity’s inquiry about inflation (video below):

Hannity: If you’re president, what would you do?
Trump: So what you’re saying sounds all very easy and sounds very simple, not actually that simple, but I will tell you that this is like the biggest tax increase in history. If you look at what inflation is doing, and I saw a number today that wages can go up, but they’re nowhere near what’s being taken out of families by pure inflation. Just the cost of bread, the cost of gas, the cost of gasoline, the cost of everything. Everything is up.”

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? So far, Trump hasn’t gotten anywhere near that. But he is regurgitating the rote Republican response that somehow Biden is responsible for inflation, despite the fact that it is occurring throughout the world due to multiple factors, including COVID and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Trump (cont’d): “And supply chain. You go to stores and they’re half empty. Many stores they can’t get products. They can’t get anything. You go to luxury stores or non-luxury stores, supermarkets, and the shelves are half there. And nobody’s ever seen it. We didn’t even have to discuss supply chain during my administration. Because it was a perfect moving machine. It was beautiful. We created the greatest economy in the history of the world. We created an economy that was better than any economy in history.”

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? But still no coherent solutions from Trump. However, he does demonstrate that he hasn’t been in a supermarket lately, where the shelves are pretty full. He also seems to have forgotten how the supply chain was disrupted during his occupation of the White House, when common consumer products like toilet paper were nowhere to be seen. And businesses were shuttered because he refused to take the advice of doctors and epidemiologists to contain the pandemic. His “beautiful,” “perfect moving machine” resulted in the first presidency in decades to have fewer jobs at the end than when it began.

Trump (cont’d): “Then we got hit by the ‘China’ virus, and after the ‘China’ virus we did one of the best jobs in the world of doing everything including Operation Warp Speed and everything that that entailed. The therapeutics, the vaccines, everything we did and then they messed it up with the mandates, and they absolutely were killing our country with the mandates which should have never happened. It’s just so sad to hear because this was all a self-inflicted wound from inflation to the loss of energy independence. And now add to that what’s going on in Ukraine. That’s genocide. What’s happening in Ukraine, people have never seen anything like that before.

Reminder: The question was “What would you do” about inflation? And there you have it. The entire, interminable, rambling rant never touched on the substance of the question. That’s because Trump has no friggin’ idea what to do about inflation. Just as he has no friggin’ idea what to do about Ukraine. But he does rage against common sense measures to protect people from a deadly virus, even as he tries to take credit for it.

Trump continues to prove that his ignorance has no bounds. He doesn’t even have the ability to fake it when asked questions that should have been anticipated and prepared for. Then again, he doesn’t need to worry about toadies like Hannity asking any follow up questions, or even expecting a relevant, comprehensible answer. Everyone around Trump just accepts, and worse, nurtures his decaying mental state. And the threat of anyone with his degree of dementia holding any position of power in the future is unthinkably horrifying.

Sean Hannity Regurgitates Swill From Russian Shill for His Nightly Biden Bashing on Fox News

The American Bureau of the Russian Ministry of Disinformation (aka Fox News) is continuing to disseminate the Kremlin’s narrative about Russia’s genocidal war against Ukraine and their anti-American propaganda attacking President Joe Biden. Vladimir Putin couldn’t be any more satisfied with the programming on Fox News if he were directing himself. Which, so far as anyone can tell by watching it, he is.

Fox News, Sean Hannity, Vladimir Putin

On Friday night Sean Hannity fulfilled his role in pushing Russian propaganda in a segment that was literally written for him by a spokesperson for the Kremlin. Hannity read verbatim from a statement that was released by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. Peskov was responding to recent comments by Biden accurately accusing Putin of being a “war criminal” and a “murderous dictator.” Apparently Hannity disagreed with Biden – and most of the free world – and sought to defend his soulmate Vladimir, saying that…

“When describing Biden, a Kremlin spokesperson said, quote, ‘Given such irritability from Mr. Biden, his fatigue and sometimes forgetfulness, fatigue that leads to aggressive statements, we will not make harsh assessments, so as not to cause more aggression.’

Now, like I’ve been saying, Biden’s weakness on the world stage, it is emboldening bad actors all across the globe as Biden and Democrats abandoned the peace through strength strategy that was successful under President Trump and even President Reagan.”

It’s true that Hannity has been saying that Biden is weak throughout his presidency. That’s bad enough under ordinary circumstances, but it’s downright treasonous during wartime. Hannity is giving aid and comfort to our enemy who is currently slaughtering civilians in Ukraine, our democratic ally. Talk about “emboldening bad actors.” Hannity is describing himself, his colleagues at Fox News, and the Republican Party, doing just that.

Hannity’s embrace of Kremlin propaganda (again) comes just one day after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov singled out Fox New for praise, saying that “only Fox News is trying to present some alternative point of view.” By which he means a point of view that is approving of Putin’s inhumane massacre of innocents. And Hannity continues to earn that praise with servile commentaries like this one, wherein he sympathetically recites the words of his masters in Moscow, while callously ignoring the human tragedies that are taking place even as he speaks.

Watch Sean Hannity Desperately Struggle – and Fail – to Get Trump to Say Putin is Evil

Donald Trump is so beholden to Vladimir Putin that for years he has been utterly incapable of expressing even the most moderate criticism of the Russian tyrant. Even worse, Trump not only refuses to condemn Putin, he slavishly praises him. It doesn’t matter what atrocities Putin is responsible for. Trump remains unflinchingly adoring.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

On Thursday Trump held another of his lazy, pajama-clad, phone-in fluffing sessions on Fox News. He called in to Sean Hannity’s show, from his Mar-a-Lago bedroom, to get his ego juiced and to disgorge more of his deviant distortions of reality. In the following exchange Hannity doggedly labored to get Trump to simply concede that Putin might be capable of doing something even negligibly naughty, like launching a genocidal assault on the peaceful neighboring country of Ukraine:

Hannity: I’ve known you well over 25 years, and you got criticized for saying that Vladimir Putin smart. We’ve had many conversations and you’ve often told it to me, Sun Tsu, The Art of War, ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Is that how you viewed Vladimir. people like Vladimir Putin, President Xi, and Kim Jung Un, and the Iranian mullahs, as enemies that you needed to keep close?
Trump: I got along with these people. I got along with them well, That doesn’t mean they are good people. That doesn’t mean anything other than the fact that I understood them, and perhaps they understood me. Maybe they understood me even better. That’s okay, because they knew there would be a big penalty. […]
Hannity: I want to understand your thinking, though. And the thinking is: We got along, but you knew that they were looking out for their interests at all times. And you understood that they were capable of evil things.
Trump: Putin is for Russia, and you see what happened. And that is all because they didn’t respect our leader. Look, there was nobody – and Putin will tell you this, if he was telling the truth, and I am sure he has told it to all of his inner sanctum – nobody was tougher on Russia than me.

First of all, there is little possibility that Trump has ever read, or heard of, Sun Tzu. And he certainly doesn’t practice keeping his enemies close. To the contrary, Trump banishes anyone who disagrees with him about even the most trivial things. That’s why during his single term occupying the White House he had so many attorneys general, chiefs of staff, press secretaries, etc., who he later castigated as incompetents that were never fit to serve (see his recent flogging of Bill Barr as an example). Which makes one wonder why he hired all of them in the first place.

The most important thing that Trump wants people to take away from this “interview” is that he got along swimmingly with numerous brutal dictators who despise America. And even after Hannity’s repeated attempts to gently put the words directly into Trump’s mouth, he was conspicuously incapable of just agreeing with Hannity that Putin could possibly do anything evil. In fact, Trump actually blamed President Biden for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine because, according to Trump, Putin doesn’t respect him. Although Trump is certain that he has Putin’s respect, despite (or because of) the fact that he has no idea what what to about about Ukraine.

Trump tops off this babbling by regurgitating his ludicrous claim that “nobody was tougher on Russia” than he was. Apparently what Trump considers “tough” is revoking Russian sanctions, advocating for reinstatement to the G7, publicly declaring that he trusts Putin more than U.S. intelligence agencies, bashing Putin’s foes NATO and the EU, and gushing over what a genius he was for invading Ukraine.

Obviously, Trump’s idea of being tough on Putin amounts to kissing his … let’s say ring. Because that’s all that Trump has done for years. And you know it’s true love, and/or total subservience, when even his pal Hannity couldn’t get Trump to extract his lips from Putin’s posterior.

Fox News Cuts Off Hillary Clinton So They Can Lie More About Spying on Trump that Never Happened

The editorial propagandists at Fox News are apparently unsatisfied with lying about President Biden’s economic successes, or whose side America should take between Ukraine and Russia, or the anti-vax Canadian trucker convoy. So they are reprising an old favorite political foil that they frequently fall back on when their other horror stories just aren’t cutting it.

Fox News, Hillary Clinton

For much of the day on Thursday, Fox News promoted a speech by Hillary Clinton at a Democratic conference in New York. They repeatedly promised to cover what the former First Lady, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State would be saying at the event. However, when it came time to actually put Clinton on the air, Fox News played about thirty seconds of her speech before interrupting it to dump a load of bona fide bullpucky that had nothing to do with what she was saying. And by some curious coincidence, they cut her off just as she began to criticize Dear Leader Donald Trump and his Republican Apostles of Asininity:

Clinton: We must reject the ‘Big Lie’ about the 2020 election and the cover up of the insurrection on January 6th…
Martha MacCallum: Alright, Hillary Clinton hitting some familiar themes here as she gets louder at the podium there in New York City, talking about January 6th, says it was a gift to China. Talking about unity and democracy, all of that, of course, at the same time as John Durham continues the investigation into whether or not her campaign was involved in an effort to listen in to president Trump, or listen in to candidate Trump. So all of that will play out in the courtroom as that unfolds in May. But right now a lot of speculation about whether or not Hillary Clinton sees weakness in the current President. Whether or not she sees an opportunity for herself in 2024 perhaps. And is this a moment where she’s starting to put herself back on the public stage.

Notice that MacCallum (who derisively described Clinton as getting louder, even though her voice doesn’t change at all) couldn’t allow Clinton to mention Trump’s “Big Lie” about the 2020 election or the violent insurrection and coup attempt that he incited. That Foxish heresy had to be nipped in the bud. But more importantly, MacCallum blatantly lied about the “Durham Nothingburger,” a court filing containing information that was all previously reported, but that is now being misconstrued to accuse Clinton and her campaign of spying on Trump. MacCallum actually takes the lie about alleged spying farther than most of her colleagues by asserting that Clinton sought “to listen in to president Trump.”

For the record, special counsel John Durham never alleged that there was any surveillance of conversations whatsoever. His filing only addressed some tracking of publicly available Internet activity. It’s something like reporting that two phones had connected, but not having any access to anything that was said by either party. What’s more, Durham’s filing clearly states that the period of time that Internet activity was being monitored was during President Obama’s term, not Trump’s. So everything that MacCallum, and the rest of the right-wing echo chamber, have been raging about is totally bogus, as usual.

Fox’s Jesse Watters went even farther to invent a scandal that has no basis in reality. On his program Thursday he said that Durham’s documents showed that Clinton’s people not only hacked into Trump’s computers, but that they “planted evidence that he colluded with Russia. Yeah. You heard that right.” This is devolving into National Enquirer style “alien babies” idiocy.

RELATED: WTF? Giuliani Says He’s Stashed ‘Evidence’ Against Hillary Clinton in His Bedroom for Years

Finally, MacCallum felt compelled to contribute some ridiculous speculation that Clinton is plotting a return to the campaign trail, adding that her supposed ambition was because she “sees weakness” in Biden. All of that is straight out of MacCallum’s warped imagination as Clinton has not done or said anything that would suggest she was considering running again, or that she was critical of Biden. However, she did have something to say about Fox News:

“They’ve been coming after me again lately, thank you. You might have noticed. It’s funny, the more trouble Trump gets into, the wilder the charges and conspiracy theories about me seem to get. So now his accountants have fired him, and investigations drop closer to him, and right on cue, the noise machine gets turned up, doesn’t it? Fox leads the charge with accusations against me, counting on their audience to fall for it again. And as an aside, they’re getting awfully close to actual malice in their attacks.”

That reference to “actual malice” is the legal standard for establishing defamation, if she were to file a lawsuit. While Clinton is unlikely to sue Fox News, she is putting them on notice that their lies are out of bounds and could place them in legal jeopardy. Sean Hannity heard this and dared her to “bring it on.” He will sorely regret it if he actually gets his wish.

Fox News Buries Story on Accounting Firm Quitting Trump, Declaring 10 Years of Finances ‘Unreliable’

On Monday Donald Trump’s longtime accounting firm announced that they were discontinuing their association with Trump and disavowing his financial reporting for the past ten years as “unreliable.” This comes as Trump is under investigation by the New York Attorney General for lying about the value of his financial assets.

Donald Trump Fox News

The Mazars accounting firm’s unprecedented termination of Trump as a client, along with their notice that ten years of his financial reports “should not be relied on,” is a jaw dropping development. It foretells a financial fiasco for the deeply indebted former reality TV game show host. And it suggests that Mazars is cooperating with legal authorities to provide more incriminating information.

Despite the explosive magnitude of this story, Fox News has completely ignored it. There was no mention of it on any of their primetime programs Monday night. There is still no mention of it on their website. It’s almost as if Fox News is purposefully trying to make the story disappear because it reflects so disastrously on Dear Leader Trump. Ya think?

In place of the Mazars story that would ordinarily dominate the news cycle at a journalistically credible operation, Fox News is relentlessly plugging a story that has absolutely no substantive news value. That story concerns a filing by the flagrantly partisan special counsel, John Durham, that rambles on tediously about an attorney who reported suspicious Internet activity between Trump and Russian computer networks.

Fox News has been completely distorting the Durham Nothingburger to falsely claim that it proves that Hillary Clinton was spying on Trump. There is no truth to that whatsoever, and the filing doesn’t even make that allegation. But that didn’t stop Sean Hannity from fictionalizing the story. He ranted that…

“Here’s where this is even worse than Watergate. Not only did they hack into the opposing campaign and steal material like in the case of Watergate, but then they hacked into the office of the president of this great country, according to Durham’s blockbuster filing late Friday.”

To be clear, no one hacked into Trump’s campaign, and no one stole any materials. Nor did anyone hack into the office of the president, and Durham never alleged that they did. Nevertheless, Trump is furious that other news networks weren’t fooled by Durham’s fact-free deflection. And so is Fox News…

It’s ironic that Fox is so outraged by the media properly passing on the Durham probe fabrications, when they are so flagrantly ignoring the real story about Trump’s financial corruption. It’s just more proof that Fox has never been a news network. And it’s why their audience is so pitifully uninformed, or even worse, misinformed, about everything from the Biden economic boom, to the COVID pandemic, to the 2020 presidential election, and so much more. They are the “New Ignorati.” And that’s exactly how Fox News wants them.

Sean Hannity and Donald Trump Jr Promote Putin Propaganda Over U.S. Intelligence on Fox News

With each new day’s dawn it is becoming harder and harder ignore the mounting evidence that Fox News is acting as the Ministry of Propaganda for Vladimir Putin and Russia. Their top rated host, Tucker Carlson, has openly taken sides with Russia over the interests of the United States. “Why would we pick Ukraine’s side,” he recently asked rhetorically, “and not Russia’s side?”

Fox News, Sean Hannity, Vladimir Putin

Carlson also visited Hungary to lavish praise on its pro-Putin puppet, Viktor Orbán. And that endorsement was quickly parroted by Donald Trump, who has not been shy about his preference for Putin. He even tried sabotage President Biden’s summit with the Russian dictator. Which is something he may have picked up from Sean Hannity, who made virtually the same comments a few days prior.

So naturally Hannity is continuing to malign Biden and America with brazenly unpatriotic polemics. To that end he invited Donald Trump Jr on his program to offer a “fair and balanced” analysis of the Russian threat to Ukraine (and ya gotta love Rep. eric Swalwell’s take):

“I get to read reports saying that intelligence is saying that Russians may be launching a cyber attack on America. I don’t think so. I imagine that’s our people lying to us to try to instigate us getting into another war to distract from the incompetence. Do you think our posture in Ukraine has anything to do with his corrupt son raking in millions over the year, and this is the way to cover it up.”

Oh! Donnie “gets to read reports,” does he? Notice that he isn’t saying that he reads intelligence, which even Daddy Trump is prohibited from getting due to his “erratic behavior.” And the “reports” Donnie reads are undoubtedly contrived by conspiracy crackpots like Alex Jones or any sitting Republican member of Congress.

In his harangue, the sniveling Trump spawn lets leak an inadvertent truth when he says that “I imagine that’s our people lying to us.” Indeed, he is imagining it. He is imagining what he most desires: that there are “Deep State” government moles concocting nefarious schemes that conform to his anti-American nightmares.

However, Donnie’s conspiracy theory couldn’t be more preposterous. He’s alleging that Biden is plotting to start a war with Russia in order to cover up some imaginary incompetence or minor malfeasance by Hunter Biden (for which there has never been any evidence). That would be like setting yourself on fire to get rid of a pimple. Which I wouldn’t put past Donnie. He really thinks that Biden would consider a war with another nuclear superpower to be preferable to a temporary bad news cycle.

This sort of perverse perspective is par for the course for Junior. Earlier this week he posted a video of himself in which he appeared to be totally wasted. The fact that he could post that video, given his slurred and halted speech, and his bizarre head twitching, is a glaring red flag indicating much deeper emotional and/or psychological problems.

However, the neuroses of the Trumps are equally matched by the fanatical fawning of Fox News. Needless to say, Hannity had no problem with Donnie’s diatribe. It’s the sort of dishonest partisanship that has long been the mission of Fox News. And it was on full display Friday when they aired this cringeworthy clip:

Jimmy Kimmel Rewinds Trump to Remind the Fox News ‘Bobbleheads’ How Humiliating He Was

This week President Biden met with reporters for a Q & A that set a record as the longest presidential press conference ever. He took questions from a broad array of media, including the most unfriendly and flagrantly biased members of the press corps, Fox News and Newsmax, whom he handily dispatched with grace and humor.

Fox News, Sean Hannity, Jimmy Kimmel

However, Biden’s endurance, command of the issues, and respectful demeanor didn’t deter knee jerk criticism from the Trump-fluffing Fox “News” hacks who made up their minds to hate Biden’s performance before the event began. The post-conference coverage on Fox News was predictably and uniformly negative, albeit lacking in any substantive critique.

Leading the parade of professional party poopers at Fox were Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham. They engaged in a mutual denigration society segment that cemented their reputations as TV vermin with this reality-challenged analysis of the Biden presser:

Ingraham: (Laughing) It was a nightmare. Oh my God! It was about the worst that I can remember from a president, frankly.
Hannity: I honestly as an American – and I don’t say this with any joy – I felt embarrassed. I felt it’s humiliating.

“The worst”? “Humiliating”? Have these two clowns ever seen a Donald Trump press conference? Have they already forgotten the embarrassing display that Trump put on every time he faced the media that he maligned in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people”?

Fortunately, Jimmy Kimmel was there to remind them with video documentation of Trump’s infantile, hostile, and cringeworthy behavior. Kimmel introduced the evidence saying that…

“The bobbleheads over at Fox News had a lot of fun with Biden’s press conference yesterday. Here’s the comedy team of Hannity and Ingraham with their in-depth and unbiased analysis of when Biden met the press.”

Talk about humiliating! Trump couldn’t open his mouth without making an asinine display of ignorance and seething animus toward anyone and anything that he regarded as less than unflinchingly adoring. And Trump had his own misrepresentation of what Biden said at the presser. He lied that Biden had “admitted” that there was election fraud in 2020. Of course, Biden never said anything of the sort. But in Trump’s world there are no facts allowed. Which makes this segment with attorney Ethan Bearman, that aired Thursday night, such a rare occurrence by a truthteller on Fox:

Ingraham and Hannity really shouldn’t attempt to mock others. they are terrible at it, and they are too big as targets themselves to risk it. Last year Hannity threatened Kimmel to stop talking about him and his show. And look how that went went.

Consciousness of Guilt: Trump Chickens Out of His Own Phony ‘News’ Conference with Lame Excuses

On the one year anniversary of Donald Trump’s January 6th insurrection, the former reality TV game show host is revealing his abject fear of being held accountable for his flagrant crimes against America. Every day more evidence comes out exposing how Trump orchestrated an attempted coup to undermine American democracy.

Donald Trump Chicken

Both Congress and the White House planned solemn observances of the sad anniversary in order to mourn the victims, honor the heroes, and memorialize that tragic episode of our history. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that President Biden would “speak to the truth of what happened” and “lay out the significance of what happened at the Capitol, and the singular responsibility president Trump has for the chaos and carnage that we saw.” Adding that “he will forcibly push back on the lies spread by the former president.”

True to form, Trump, the malignant narcissist and wannabe dictator, sought to make the day all about himself. So he announced that he would be holding an alleged “news” conference on the same day. It was a terrible idea both politically and morally. But it was exactly the sort of noxious behavior that is expected from Trump.

However, circumstances intervened that have resulted in Trump canceling his media circus. The circumstances include pleadings from his Republican confederates to scrap the affair, as well as shocking disclosures about his Fox News flunky, Sean Hannity, that expose his communications with the Trump team during the riots. Trump’s notice that he was backing out was typically Trumpian. He began…

“In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona – It will be a big crowd!”

Trump expects people to believe that he’s abandoning his news conference, where he could tell his own story, because of some unstated bias by the House Select Committee investigating the insurrection. And for good measure he threw in the tedious “Fake News” canard. That makes sense only to someone with severe brain damage. Trump more likely retreated because of the risk that no one would show up for his pseudo-news charade. Or even worse, that they would show. The truth is that Trump is scared witless of being in a position where he might face questioning about his crimes.

So Trump rescheduled his lie-fest for another of his cult rallies, where he is the sole performer before an audience of glassy-eyed disciples. That way he can brag about the attendance at his free rally for Deplorables, even though when they recently were asked to pay, they stayed away in droves.

Trump went on to disgorge wild allegations that he can’t prove. He accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of being responsible for the absence of law enforcement. Which is ironic since it was Trump who, as Commander-in-Chief, was the person who could have deployed protection for the Congress. But the evidence shows that he did nothing but gleefully watch the television reports of the riots for three terrifying hours, while even his allies on Fox News were begging him to call off his StormTrumpers.

Trump closed his rant by whining about what he called the “Democrats’ Great Cover-Up Committee and the Media is complicit.” But if he really wanted to correct the record, he could simply testify before the Committee and bring along whatever evidence he has to support his claims. Instead, Trump is suing anyone and everyone to keep everything hidden. He’s making accusations against Pelosi and Rep. Adam Schiff that he can’t prove. And he’s crying that he’s a victim (again) of the “Crime of the Century.”

It’s amazing that Trump’s devotees aren’t getting tired of these wearisome ravings. He’s spent more than a year making assertions that the 2020 election was “rigged” without providing any evidence whatsoever. He lost more than sixty court cases on the subject. And yet he comes back with the same mindlessly monotonous musings and his fans eat it up. And as has been observed many times, that is the textbook behavior of a cult.
