How many times, and in how many ways, can Glenn Beck insult and offend people of different ethnicities than himself – and get away with it?<\/p>\n

I missed this morsel from earlier this week, but Keith Olbermann picked it up:<\/p>\n

Beck:<\/b> “Jesus conquered death. He wasn’t victimized. He chose to give his life. He did have a choice. If he was a victim and this theology was true then Jesus would have come back from the dead and made the Jews pay for what they did<\/b>, that’s an abomination.” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Olbermann correctly pointed out that it was the Romans who crucified Jesus and that most Christian doctrine, including the Catholic Church, repudiated the accusation against the Jews. Although Jesus may not have made the Jews pay, generations of his followers picked up the cause and still endeavor to extract payment to this day. And now we can count Glenn Beck amongst them.<\/p>\n
