Hillary Clinton was in San Diego, California, today to deliver an address on national security. And while the speech she gave enumerated her priorities for a Clinton presidency, it began with a masterful indictment of her presumptive Republican opponent Donald Trump. Anyone who is interested can read the transcript of entire speech here<\/a><\/strong>, but what appears below is just a portion of the speech’s opening that nailed Trump to the wall. It seems appropriate that this be documented for all voters to reference as the campaign moves forward.<\/p>\n

Hillary Clinton on Donald Trump’s ‘Dangerous Incoherence’<\/h4>\n

Americans aren\u2019t just electing a President in November. We\u2019re choosing our next commander-in-chief \u2013 the person we count on to decide questions of war and peace, life and death. And like many across our country and around the world, I believe the person the Republicans have nominated for President cannot do the job.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump\u2019s ideas aren\u2019t just different \u2013 they are dangerously incoherent. They\u2019re not even really ideas \u2013 just a series of bizarre rants, personal feuds, and outright lies.<\/p>\n

He is not just unprepared \u2013 he is temperamentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability and immense responsibility.<\/p>\n

This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes \u2013 because it\u2019s not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his very thin skin.<\/p>\n

We cannot put the security of our children and grandchildren in Donald Trump\u2019s hands. We cannot let him roll the dice with America.<\/p>\n

This is a man who said that more countries should have nuclear weapons<\/a>, including Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

This is someone who has threatened to abandon our allies in NATO<\/a> \u2013 the countries that work with us to root out terrorists abroad before they strike us at home.<\/p>\n

He believes we can treat the U.S. economy like one of his casinos and default on our debts<\/a> to the rest of the world, which would cause an economic catastrophe far worse than anything we experienced in 2008.<\/p>\n

He has said that he would order our military to carry out torture and the murder of civilians<\/a> who are related to suspected terrorists \u2013 even though those are war crimes.<\/p>\n

He says he doesn\u2019t have to listen to our generals or our admirals, our ambassadors and other high officials, because he has \u2013 quote \u2013 \u201ca very good brain.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

He also said, \u201cI know more about ISIS<\/a> than the generals do, believe me.\u201d You know what? I don\u2019t believe him.<\/p>\n

He says climate change is a hoax<\/a> invented by the Chinese, and he has the gall to say that prisoners of war like John McCain aren\u2019t heroes.<\/p>\n

He praises dictators<\/a> like Vladimir Putin and picks fights with our friends \u2013 including the British prime minister, the mayor of London, the German chancellor, the president of Mexico and the Pope.<\/p>\n

He says he has foreign policy experience because he ran the Miss Universe pageant<\/a> in Russia.<\/p>\n

And to top it off, he believes America is weak<\/a>. An embarrassment. He called our military a disaster. He said we are \u2013 and I quote \u2013 a \u201cthird-world country.\u201d And he\u2019s been saying things like that for decades.<\/p>\n

Those are the words my friends of someone who doesn\u2019t understand America or the world.
\nAnd they\u2019re the words of someone who would lead us in the wrong direction. Because if you really believe America is weak \u2013 with our military, our values, our capabilities that no other country comes close to matching \u2013 then you don\u2019t know America.<\/p>\n

And you certainly don\u2019t deserve to lead it.<\/p>\n
