Unfortunately, some members of the press corps don&#8217;t take this as seriously as it deserves.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newscorpse.com\/Pix\/FoxNews\/foxnews-doocy-crying.jpg\" alt=\"Fox News, Peter Doocy\" width=\"550\" height=\"296\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-48886\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The press conference lasted a couple of hours as Biden sought to give everyone an opportunity to have their questions answered. However, some of the right-wing rabble grew impatient because they were so anxious to hear from Peter Doocy of Fox News. Biden called on Doocy, who proceeded to ask a question that would justify never being called on again. Biden greeted Doocy saying that <em>&#8220;You always ask me the nicest questions. None of them make sense to me.&#8221;<\/em> Followed by this exchange&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Doocy:<\/strong> Why are you trying so hard in your first year to pull the country so far to the left?<br \/>\n<strong>Biden:<\/strong> Well, I&#8217;m not. I don&#8217;t know what you consider to be too far to the left. In fact, I&#8217;m talking about making sure we had the money for COVID. Making sure we had the money to put together the bipartisan infrastructure. Making sure we were able to provide for those things that, in fact, would significantly reduce the burden on working class people, but make them have to continue to work hard. I don&#8217;t know how that pulls to the left. You may recall that you guys were trying to convince me that I am Bernie Sanders. I&#8217;m not. I like him. But I&#8217;m not Bernie Sanders. I&#8217;m not a socialist. I&#8217;m a mainstream Democrat and I have been. That was what they wrongly believed was the sort of question that Biden would avoid? And what do they have to say now that Biden not only called on Doocy, but politely replied to his preposterous inquiry?<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s more, Biden also called on James Rosen of Newsmax, whose question was even worse:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Rosen:<\/strong> Why do you suppose such large segments of the American electorate have come to harbor such profound concerns about your cognitive fitness?<br \/>\n<strong>Biden:<\/strong> I have no idea.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden just waves off Newsmax correspondent James Rosen&#39;s longwinded question asking why many Americans are questioning his mental and cognitive fitness.<\/p>\n<p> &quot;I have no idea.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3K5qdbxt8y\">pic.twitter.com\/3K5qdbxt8y<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Justin Baragona (@justinbaragona) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/justinbaragona\/status\/1483931938385797124?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 19, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Biden gave that question precisely the amount of time and consideration it deserved. What exactly did Rosen expect Biden to say? Did he think Biden might go into an extended discourse on his mental acuity? Perhaps Biden should have noted that members of a Yale conference concluded that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscorpse.com\/ncWP\/?p=34460\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump is <em>&#8220;too mentally ill to serve.&#8221;<\/em><\/a><\/strong> Or Biden could have reported that the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscorpse.com\/ncWP\/?p=45920\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">American people overwhelmingly regard Trump as unfit<\/a><\/strong> for the duties of his office. Or maybe Biden should have mentioned the Fox News poll that found that a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newscorpse.com\/ncWP\/?p=46720\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">majority of voters said that Trump doesn&#8217;t have the mental soundness to serve<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If these questions by Doocy and Rosen are examples of the mental fitness of reporters from Fox News and Newsmax, the Biden White House would be entirely justified in declining their credentials for future press conferences. But then we would miss the humiliation they subject themselves to.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color:blue;\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Twitter suspended the News Corpse account after 11 years without giving a reason.
