Now that Donald Trump has succeeded in implementing his government shutdown, the blame game in Washington D.C. has reached a fever pitch. Naturally, Democrats are blaming Republicans, and Republicans are blaming immigrants – and, oh yeah, Democrats.<\/p>\n

The Republican messaging is rife with flagrant lies about what Democrats want in order to pass the budget legislation. They insist that Democrats are demanding free healthcare for “illegal aliens.”<\/em> That’s a lie. There are zero Democrats proposing that. But Republicans have decided that this will be their sole talking point because they couldn’t care less about ending the shutdown. In fact, they are rejoicing in it, and even bragging that it is helping them to achieve some of their long term goals.<\/p>\n

However, the American people have other ideas. They are opposed to Trump and his GOP cohorts allowing healthcare costs to rise to exorbitantly unaffordable levels. As reported by CNN, a new poll by the Washington Post finds that…<\/p>\n

“Seven in ten Americans side with Democrats in saying that Obamacare subsidies should be extended. {Adding that} “A lot more people are blaming the president and congressional Republicans than Democrats. [47% to 30%]”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
