Consistent with his inbred bigotry and compulsive self-interest, Trump immediately embraced this news as an opportunity to malign all Afghans, including those who risked their lives to help American soldiers fighting the Taliban. He is predictably blaming all Afghans for a crime committed by one. And he’s doing it because he thinks this display of racism will reverse his collapsing approval ratings.<\/p>\n

He disgorged an interminably long and tedious comment<\/a><\/strong> aimed at disparaging and threatening virtually all migrants in America. And he began with his trademark infantile sarcasm that he thinks is funny…<\/p>\n “A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being ‘Politically Correct,’ and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Heartwarming, isn’t it? It’s clear that Trump truly understands the meaning of this holiday and the peace and unity that it represents. But he was just getting started. He continued…<\/p>\n “The official United States Foreign population stands at 53 million people (Census), most of which are on welfare, from failed nations, or from prisons, mental institutions, gangs, or drug cartels. […] This refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Trump’s foreign population estimate of 53 million includes naturalized citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), temporary migrants, and unauthorized immigrants. About half of all foreign-born residents are naturalized American citizens. Another 12 million are legal green card holders. That’s about 75% of the total. Trump’s claim that most of them are on welfare and are criminals or mental patients is just outright racism and patently false. And nothing contributes more to the “social dysfunction”<\/em> in America than the antics of Trump and his MAGA cult.<\/p>\n For some reason, Trump then lashed out at Somali migrants in Minnesota, who had nothing to do with with the shooting in D.C. But he may have just seen it as an opportunity to lob a childish insult at Minnesota governor Tim Walz, who Trump called “seriously retarded,”<\/em> and at Rep. Ilhan Omar, who he mocked for being “always wrapped in her swaddling hijab, and who probably came into the U.S.A. illegally.”<\/em> But he still wasn’t done. He closed<\/a><\/strong> by saying that…<\/p>\n “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden\u2019s Autopen. […] end all Federal benefits and subsidies to noncitizens of our Country, denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Notice that Trump is only threatening to pause immigration from the third world countries that he has referred to as “shit holes.”<\/em> He’s fine with white migrants from Europe. What’s more, he makes a bizarre reference to migrants being approved for admission by “Biden\u2019s Autopen.”<\/em> That’s not how immigration works. Presidents don’t personally sign off on immigration papers. This sounds like more evidence of Trump’s cognitive impairment wherein he is conflating things that are unrelated.<\/p>\n However, the most troubling part of Trump’s rant is his threat to “denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility.”<\/em> He doesn’t bother to define what he means by “domestic tranquility,”<\/em> He’s likely talking about stripping citizenship from, and deporting, Americans who he doesn’t like, or are critical of him. And he proposes to halt federal benefits for migrants who remain, even if they are are legally entitled to them.<\/p>\n Trump’s standard for determining whether any migrants should be permitted to stay or be cast out appears to be an ambiguous designation of being “compatible with Western Civilization.”<\/em> Whatever that means. Consequently, Melania should be worried. Because if she ever falls out of favor with Trump, she fits all of his criteria for having her citizenship revoked and being deported back to Slovenia. Yes, that’s precisely how stupid all of this is.<\/p>\n LATE BREAKING:<\/strong> Trump just posted another comment<\/a><\/strong> on Truth Social wherein declares that almost all of President Biden’s executive orders are “hereby terminated,”<\/em> unless he signed them directly (i.e. without the autopen). Never mind that most of Trump’s executive orders were also signed with an autopen. In the same comment Trump threatens to bring perjury charges against Biden if he disputes Trump’s ludicrous claims. This entire comment has no legal standing.
