Trump’s history of attacking the media is well documented. It includes everything from infantile insults to multibillion dollar lawsuits. Anything that he can think of to suppress the press that he frequently refers to in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people.”<\/em> He has even put up a wholly improper page on the White House website to malign the media. Although it creates an interesting opportunity for his critics.<\/p>\n SEE THIS: A CALL TO ACTION: Trump White House Launches a \u2018Media Bias Offender Tipline\u2019 \u2013 Let\u2019s Use It<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n On Tuesday night Trump dropped an excessively long and tedious comment<\/a><\/strong> on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social<\/a><\/strong>, that attempted to address his utterly deranged anti-media obsessions. Naturally, he began with some gratuitous praise of himself saying that “There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me! My hours are the longest, and my results are among the best.”<\/em> Which is downright hilarious considering the frequency with which he has been caught sleeping during his recent Cabinet meetings<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Trump’s comment continued with a litany of lies about his many imaginary accomplishments (i.e. stopping eight wars, creating the “Greatest Economy in History,”<\/em> rebuilding the Military, restoring international respect, etc.). Then he launched into a bizarre defense of his obviously declining cognitive acuity, saying that…<\/p>\n “I have done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know. I have been told that few people have been able to \u201cace\u201d this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n First of all, if his doctors keep prescribing cognitive exams, they must be gravely concerned about something. If they aren’t just observing his growing disability, they could be tracking the side effects of some medication he is taking. Secondly, these exams are pretty simple and involve elementary tasks such as drawing a clock and identifying a camel. The fact that he thinks he “ACED”<\/em> these tests, and that “most do very poorly,”<\/em> says more about his own psychoses than the others who he is demeaning.<\/p>\n Trump’s comment then proceeded to deny that there has been any evidence of him “‘slowing up,’ [and] maybe not as sharp as I once was.”<\/em> For anyone to believe that, they would have to ignore virtually every one of his recent public appearances. He is painfully incapable of staying on topic, as seen in his cult rally Tuesday night in Pennsylvania where he intended to focus on the affordability crisis that he is responsible for, but wandered off course repeatedly to disparage migrants.
