Trump’s goon squads are notoriously untrained and ill-prepared for the duties they are being asked to perform. Consequently, when a situation arises that calls for calm and expertise, it rapidly escalates into a catastrophe where citizens are the sad victims of the violence perpetrated by alleged law enforcement personnel. And it’s particularly disturbing that a new example of this has occurred the day after the five year anniversary of the January 6th insurrection where Trump’s supporters stormed the United States Capitol, causing great harm and sending 140 police officers to the hospital<\/p>\n

Fearing for her safety, she tried to drive away. Whereupon the officer shot her point blank through her window, killing her.<\/p>\n For what? She had not committed any crime. She was not threatening the officers. There was literally no valid reason for the use of deadly force. But that didn’t stop Trump’s Homeland Security flunky, Kristi Noem, from getting in front of the nearest flank of media cameras to spread some deliberate disinformation, and labeling the deceased woman a “domestic terrorist.”<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n It didn’t take long for Trump to offer his opinion of what happened, And to no one’s surprise, he spewed an elaborate litany of lies in the comment<\/a><\/strong> that he posted to his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth social<\/a><\/strong>. He said that…<\/p>\n “I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Every word of that is, to use the technical term, “BULLSH*T.”<\/em> To break down Trump’s lies…<\/p>\n However, Trump’s raging dishonesty had only just begun. He continued saying that…<\/p>\n “Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Once again, that is utterly and flagrantly false. The officer was not hit by the car. Neither was anyone else. Not even close. If he went to the hospital it could only be as a tactic to be able to later make a false claim of injury. Contrary to Trump’s babbling, his own video that he attached to the comment shows that the officer was off to the side of the vehicle immediately after he fired. The vehicle then coasted to a collision with a parked car.
