Trump’s agenda of imposing unlawful and inflationary tariffs that increased the cost of everything from groceries, to gasoline, to housing, to healthcare, and more, were just the beginning of his assault on the American people. His approval ratings have broken through the basement floor and are heading toward the Earth’s burning core. And this isn’t the opinion of what he calls the “radical left lunatics”<\/em> in the mainstream media. Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, just a released a poll that found him floundering.<\/p>\n Fox published their results in an article<\/a> declaring that “Sour voters say Washington is out of touch.”<\/em> That headline actually bails Trump out by suggesting that it it isn’t his fault that everything sucks. It’s those “sour”<\/em> voters. But the rest of the article wasn’t as gentle.<\/p>\n The article began by noting that “Voters are not only dissatisfied with the direction of the country but also pessimistic about the economic outlook.”<\/em> The poll found that “Nearly two-thirds, 64%, are dissatisfied [and] that\u2019s the highest dissatisfaction rating of President Trump\u2019s second term.”<\/em> Then the article elaborated saying that…<\/p>\n “His worst numbers are on inflation, with a new low of 28% approving […] His 34% approval for the economy is another new low, down 6 points since January and 9 points from a year ago. Other ratings are also well underwater: healthcare (36% approve, 64% disapprove), Iran (36-64), taxes (36-64), foreign policy (38-62), and immigration (44-56).”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Trump is unlikely to be able to improve on any of that between now and the midterm elections in November. One important reason for that is that he isn’t even trying to. To the contrary, he is doubling down on his widely opposed domestic policies by insisting that everything is the best it’s ever been in the history of mankind. And he’s celebrating his war in Iran as a “little excursion”<\/em> that he says he won in the first hour<\/a><\/strong>, three weeks ago. Which begs the question, why is he still fighting, and even escalating, with thousands of troops being deployed to the Middle East, and requests for $200 billion more in funding?<\/p>\n It’s tempting to muse that, with regard to Trump, “When you’ve lost Fox News…”<\/em> But Trump has never been satisfied with the polling by Fox<\/a><\/strong>. He frequently goes on the network to whine about their polls that sometimes put him in a negative light. But Fox News remains his mass media mouthpiece. And polls like these will rarely turn up on the primetime shows that Trump watches. So most of his cult followers will never see these numbers.
