On Monday morning Trump hosted a group of athletes and children, along with a couple of his Cabinet flunkies, at the White House to promote physical fitness. That’s a subject that Trump is almost as unqualified to discuss as mental fitness. Trump’s impairment is so noticeably bad that recent polling shows that the American people regard President Biden, who Trump has maligned as mentally incompetent, as preferable to Trump.<\/p>\n

In this morning’s event Trump rattled off his usual quota of lies and inanities. Many were inappropriate for his youthful guests. But one that deserves some extra attention is his preposterous claim to being so beloved by his cult followers that it was even affirmed by a poll conducted by “fake news”<\/em> CNN. Trump babbled that…<\/p>\n

I am at, according to CNN, 100% approval within the Republican Party…Did you see the CNN poll? Nobody talks about it. I think the people that did that poll probably got fired. But within the Republican Party and MAGA, which is basically 100% of the party I think,”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
