The mental health of Donald Trump has long been a matter of public concern. And symptoms of his psychological and emotional infirmity are alarmingly present in his daily behavior with ever increasing regularity. Evidence of Trump’s decline continues to be on display in the bizarre, daily outbursts he unleashes on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social<\/a><\/strong>. However, on Monday night he reached a new plateau of insanity, at least until the next one.<\/p>\n

Trump posted at least two dozen of some of the most blatantly ridiculous conspiracy theories about everything from the 2016 and 2020 elections being rigging, to allegations that Obama profited from Obamacare, to long ago debunked nonsense that Obama spied on Trump, and to charges that Jack Smith and James Comey fabricated evidence against him.<\/p>\n

Literally none of those posts contained a shred of truth. And most of them were obvious nonsense invented by QAnon and other conspiracy kooks who never bother to provide any credible documentation. There was too much of this flaming bullshittery to respond to them all. But there was one<\/a><\/strong> that can serve as representative of the rest. It began with an all-caps headline bellowing that “BOMBSHELL EXPOSED: Obama\u2019s Coup Plot UNRAVELING!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Needless to say, there was no bombshell, no exposure, and nothing that was unraveled. The post went on to unravel flagrant lies that…<\/p>\n

“Twenty CIA and FBI whistleblowers just dropped the hammer \u2014 Barack Obama and his CIA puppet John Brennan cooked up the entire Russia Hoax to steal the 2016 election and overthrow a duly elected President Trump. They doctored intelligence, weaponized the deep state, and launched a years-long witch hunt to destroy our movement.<\/p>\n

“This isn\u2019t conspiracy \u2014 it\u2019s treason. The video proves they knew exactly what they were doing. How much longer do we let these criminals walk free? Time for real justice. Lock them up. Drain the swamp for good. Trump was right all along.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

To summarize, Trump’s post is baselessly accusing President Obama of a “Coup Plot”<\/em> wherein he allegedly “cooked up the entire Russia Hoax to steal the 2016 election.”<\/em> The post concludes that Obama and his administration are guilty of “treason”<\/em> and that it’s time to “lock them up.”<\/em> And the “proof”<\/em> of these charges was supposedly in an attached video of an old press briefing<\/a><\/strong> on March 22, 2017, by former Rep. Devin Nunes, who went on to become the CEO of Truth Social, but was recently fired<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the briefing, Nunes spoke about intelligence gathering related to Trump and Russia. It was later concluded that nothing improper was done<\/a><\/strong> and that Trump’s allegations of wrongdoing were lies. What’s more, the FBI, and later Special Counsel Robert Mueller, did uncover extensive contacts between Trump associates and Russians, contrary to Nunes\u2019s early suggestion that there was \u201cnothing there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

All of that glaringly fictional garbage was in just a single post. Trump made 23 others that were just as bad. They called for the arrest of Obama. Although they seemed to have forgotten that the Supreme Court ruling that gave Trump near universal immunity applies to Obama as well. They pretended to have irrefutable “evidence,”<\/em> but it was all unsupported babbling by online crackpots.<\/p>\n

The Crackpot-in-Chief, Donald Trump, embraced all of this hogwash and reposted it as facts. And just to seal the deal, here is one more of those posts that he either believed was real, or didn’t care that he was disseminating lies to his gullible flock of cult followers…<\/p>\n
