The GOP and their Dear Leader think that if a Republican who is a former Fox News hack, and another who is a reality TV goofball, are not winning, there must be something terribly wrong. Leading the charge to declare all election outcomes phony if Republicans don’t win, is the GOP Speaker of the House of Representatives, MAGA Mike Johnson. And he is employing some novel arguments to make his case. In an exchange with CNN’s congressional correspondent, Manu Raju, Johnson shamelessly floated the theory that the absence of factual evidence of wrongdoing is proof that wrongdoing took place. When asked about the whether he though the California electins were rigged, Johnson whined that…<\/p>\n

Johnson:<\/strong> I\u2019m not saying it\u2019s rigged. I\u2019m saying it stinks to high heaven, and everybody knows that. Let\u2019s remove the appearance of impropriety. What a concept. Let\u2019s have votes on an election the day of the election. That\u2019s what many states are able to do. I think California is playing around with us.
\nRaju:<\/strong> But what evidence is there to prove that the election was rigged?
\nJohnson:<\/strong> Some of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream, it is impossible to prove. But I think everybody knows instinctively something is wrong here, and that\u2019s a concern. We need people to believe in the integrity of our election system.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
