When Trump launched his reckless and illegal war against Iran in February, he made repeated assurances that it wouldn’t last more than a few days. That was quickly amended to 4-6 weeks. And that was amended to say that he had already won the war, despite the fact that he is still fighting it going into the sixth month.<\/p>\n

It’s not unusual for Trump to make grossly hyperbolic assertions that are unrelated to reality. He brags about the currently floundering economy being the best it has ever been. He claims to have eliminated illegal immigration. He thinks he is achieving the highest poll numbers<\/a><\/strong> of his term in office. And he relentlessly insists that Iran has been defeated and is begging for peace.<\/p>\n

The latest ludicrous claim by Trump about Iran came in a comment<\/a><\/strong> that he posted Monday morning to his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social<\/a><\/strong>. It was a tediously long tirade that included his flagrant falsehood that…<\/p>\n

“Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are asking for compensation for the damage done to them during the last five month Military Conflict…even though it was never mentioned in any of our negotiations or meetings!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Let’s set aside Trump’s cartoon characterization of the war, that has seen at least 12 American fatalities and hundreds of injuries, as a merely “Military Conflict.”<\/em> His claim that Iran had never mentioned compensation before as a condition for peace or a ceasefire is just another example of Trump’s ignorance about what is actually happening. To the contrary, Iran has been seeking reparations from the very start of the war. The evidence below was from a report published on March 12, 2026, less than two weeks after Trump launched his attack.<\/p>\n
