The litany of lies that Donald Trump disgorges on a daily basis are generally easy to refute. They never have a factual basis or provide any documentary proof. But as we get closer to the midterm election that is predicted to blowout much of Trump’s MAGA Party, his lies are becoming ever more fantastical and preposterous.<\/p>\n

In the past few weeks Trump has narrowed his diarhetorical ranting to ludicrous allegations that every Democrat is a communist who is determined to force all American children to transition to another gender. He has blurted out every racist trope he can think of. He has done everything he can to make the cost of living rise. And he has aided and abetted foreign dictators in their quest to weaken America. All of this right before an election that he is desperately trying to rig in his favor.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning Trump was busying himself as usual by posting deranged comments on his failing Twitter rip off, Truth Social<\/a><\/strong>. Among them was a long, racist tirade<\/a><\/strong> attacking one of his favorite targets, Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar. It said in summary that…<\/p>\n

“It was just revealed that Ilhan Omar\u2019s name is not Ilhan Omar, the one she used to get elected and sworn into Congress, but rather, it\u2019s an entirely different name, Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, and that her last name is, incredibly, also the exact name of her brother” […]<\/p>\n

“Therefore, because she used a fake name to be sworn in, I assume she must IMMEDIATELY resign from Congress.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

True to form, Trump is making utterly unfounded allegations that Omar’s birth name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. It’s not. And he also lied that her former husband is her brother. He isn’t. Omar has repeatedly denied these crackpot conspiracy theories, and in her seven years of congressional service no evidence has ever been produced to back them up. Therefore, Trump’s demand that she resign from Congress is not just patently false, it’s glaringly ridiculous.<\/p>\n

Making unfounded allegations is a standard operating procedure for Trump and his MAGA-strates. He has been whining for years that the 2020 presidential election was “rigged and stolen”<\/em> from him. But has never offered any proof of it. He claims that there is rampant voter fraud, but can’t seem to document it. He is in a near constant rage over what he calls “fake news,”<\/em> which always just turns out to be truthful news that he doesn’t like.<\/p>\n

If Trump really wants to pursue his attack on Omar, he might want to include a few others who actually did run for office under names that were not their own legal birth names. For instance, James Donald Bowman, aka Vice-President JD Vance. Or Rafael Edward Cruz, aka Sen. Ted Cruz. Or James Michael Johnson, aka GOP House Peaker Mike Johnson. Maybe we should throw them all out of office.<\/p>\n

There are surely more. But the way things are going for Republicans, voters are likely to take care of throwing them out in the upcoming election, or the next one in 2028.<\/p>\n
