These political battles are not limited to the contests between the candidates. There is a concurrent battle ongoing in the television news field where the longtime leader, Fox News, is suffering some serious backdraft. Most of which is attributable to the primary beneficiary of their partisan propaganda, Donald Trump. Although they struggle desperately to deny it…<\/p>\n

The latest Nielsen ratings report confirms the downward spiral of Trump’s MAGA movement and its Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News). As reported by Variety<\/a><\/strong>…<\/p>\n

“In the lead-up to the 2026 midterm elections, Fox News lost more than a quarter of its overall viewing audience in the month of October, according to new data. […]<\/p>\n

“For October 2026, Fox News is on track to post its lowest-rated month in total-day viewers since December 2023, according to preliminary figures from Nielsen, first reported by Status. FNC averaged 1.1 million total viewers for the month, down 27%, and 98,000 viewers in the key 25-54 demographic coveted by advertisers, a drop of 32%.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These audience losses couldn’t come at a worse time for Trump and his GOP comrades. This is when they most need to have their media boosters manufacturing enthusiasm among the MAGA faithful to turnout and vote for what are expected to be some unexpectedly close races. But in the month preceding the election, fewer MAGA-tists are watching. That could result in lower turnout for demoralized Republican voters who are already disappointed with Trump and Republicans in Congress.<\/p>\n

There are a variety of possible explanations for the decline in Fox’s ratings. Certainly some TV viewers have been cutting the cable and switching to streamers and podcasts. But that doesn’t explain why Fox News was hit harder than their cable news competitors. In the same Variety story it was noted that…<\/p>\n

“Fox News has been losing viewers at a double-digit clip as CNN and MS NOW have been slightly up in recent months. […] MS NOW saw its daytime audience rise 16% to 588,000 total viewers in October, and CNN viewership was up 3% to 402,000 viewers over the same timeframe, according to the preliminary Nielsen figures.”<\/p>\n

[And that in October Fox & Friends had] “its lowest overall viewers since July 2015 (and its lowest in the 25-54 demographic since June 2001).”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Another possibility could be that Fox News has been hurt by the bashing it has received from Dear Leader himself, who has been slamming the network as treasonous.<\/p>\n
