The media has been falling all over itself for a few days now, lambasting DNC Chairman Howard Dean<\/a> for saying that the war cannot be won. But I have yet to hear any of them criticize Bush for saying the exact same thing<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Mr. Bush was asked if the United States could win the war against terrorism…<\/span><\/p>\n

“I don’t think you can win it,”<\/strong> Mr. Bush replied. “But I think you can create conditions so that those who use terror as a tool are less acceptable in parts of the world.”<\/span><\/p>\n
