Trump Romances Xi Jinping and Brags (Lies) that China is Winning the Fast Food War in America

This week Donald Trump took valuable time away from his highest priority presidential duties of golfing, planning his vanity ballroom, indicting Democrats, insulting the free press, and watching Fox News, to visit his authoritarian pal, Xi Jinping, in China.

Donald Trump and Xi Jinping

That’s right. Trump boarded Air Force One with his son Eric, Eric’s wife, Lara, Stephen Miller, and a horde of billionaire tech company honchos, to engage with the leader of one of America’s most daunting foes. The American people will be comforted to know that Trump is doing more than posting endless deranged comments on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social.

SEE THIS: Trump Unloads Dozens of Insane Posts, Including Calling for the Arrest of Obama for Treason

There are many crucial issues for Trump to address with Xi, including Trump’s war in Iran, China’s threatening stance toward Taiwan, economically critical trade deals, and advancing the American principles of democracy and freedom. Rest assured that Trump won’t waste any of his limited time in China with those trivialities. Instead, he will perform his organ grinder routine, with Xi as the organist. Trump began his stint in China by paying tribute to its brutal tyrant saying that…

“I have such respect for China, the job you’ve done. You’re a great leader. I say it to everybody.”

Trump gushes over China's dictator, Xi Jinping, because he loves, and hopes to be, a dictator himself someday.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-05-14T09:34:09.664Z

Indeed. Xi has done a great job suppressing the Chinese people politically, and enslaving them economically. It’s a model that Trump envies and hopes to emulate in the U.S. Trump is so impressed by China’s successes that he even praised them for their superiority in America’s fast food business…

“Just as many Chinese now love basketball and blue jeans, Chinese restaurants in America today outnumber the five largest fast food chains in the United States, all combined. That’s a pretty big statement”

Trump is lying – again (SURPRISE!). And he insists on lying about some of the most petty things.Estimates of the number of Chinese restaurants in the U.S. are between 37,000, and 45,000. But the combined total of the 5 biggest fast food chains is over 67,000.people.com/trump-boasts…

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-05-14T16:51:00.966Z

Never mind that, even though Trump is a huge fan of junk food, he was – as usual – wrong and/or lying. It didn’t take long for the fact checks to reveal how far off Trump was. As reported by People

“There were roughly 37,000 Chinese food locations in the U.S. as of March 2023, according to the Pew Research Center. Other organizations frequently cite a total of 45,000, sourcing that claim to the now-defunct Chinese American Restaurant Association.

“The top five fast food chains in the U.S. — Subway, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts and Taco Bell — had north of 67,000 units combined in 2025, according to QSR magazine, a trade publication that sources data directly from the companies.”

It isn’t surprising that Trump would get this easily verifiable data so wrong. He is notorious for failing to educate himself and for refusing to sit through boring briefings that aren’t predominantly about him and how awesome he is. And for this summit he saw fit to bring along his family and a bevy of conflicted businessmen, but not a single diplomatic or national security expert on China. And in response to that criticism his communications director, Steven Cheung, lashed out in a typically infantile Trumpian manner…

It would be safe to predict that little or nothing of substance will be achieved at this summit. But Trump will nevertheless boast that it was the most historically fantabulous summit in the history of the human race. And it couldn’t have possibly been done without His MAGA-sty in charge. And unfortunately, that’s one thing that he is right about.

BE AFRAID! Mike Johnson Frets About ‘Little Mini Mamdanis Popping Up All Around the Country’

The rapidly approaching midterm elections in November continue to stir deep seated anxieties in the Republican Party as their prospects for any sort of favorable results fade into the realm of improbable fantasy. Most recent polling show Democrats winning a solid majority in the House (despite the GOP attempts at redistricting), and a pretty good chance of taking the Senate as well.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

The predictions of a massive Blue Wave are driving GOP leaders into frenzies of desperation. They are utterly incapable of competing on the merits of their ideas or their records in office. So they are resorting to the most pathetic campaign tactics that rely solely on lies and smears. In other words, The Trump Strategy.

SEE THIS: Trump Unloads Dozens of Insane Posts, Including Calling for the Arrest of Obama for Treason

Leading the way is Republican House speaker, MAGA Mike Johnson. During a Wednesday morning interview on Fox News (where else?), Johnson revealed his innermost fears of the dreadful electoral outcomes that await him and his party in the near future.

“The way I describe it in summary is that there are little mini Mamdanis popping up all around the country. Okay? And they’re openly avowed socialist Marxist ideology. This is something that we have never seen before in American history.”

OH MY! Johnson is quite right. This country has never before been invaded by mini Zohran Mamdanis, the recently elected – and massively popular – mayor of New York City. And Johnson is also right to be afraid. These marauding Democrats are threatening to take the nation by storm, improving the lives of every American and advancing the principles of freedom and liberty. That alone should strike terror into the MAGA-tists. Even without the ludicrous lies that Democrats are “avowed socialists” espousing “Marxist ideology.” No wonder the GOP elite are scared. But Johnson was just getting started…

“The Tea Party resetting the Republican Party was about fiscal responsibility. This is about moving away from a constitutional republic to a communist utopian ideology, and that’s a dangerous thing for the future of the country.”

Really? Johnson is apparently oblivious to the fact that the current mood in the nation’s politics is dominated by the abysmal fiscal irresponsibility of the Trump regime that has resulted in higher costs of everything from gas and groceries, to housing and healthcare, and so much more. He is also blissfully unaware that it is Trump who is undermining the Constitution at every opportunity, and cozies up to his communist idols like Vladimir Putin. Johnson wraps up saying that…

“The problem we have, the insurgent left, the far left has all the energy, excitement, and the money in the Democratic Party. This is not our father’s Democratic Party anymore. They are going far, far left, and no one’s there to stop it.”

Once again, Johnson is right. “This is not our father’s Democratic Party.” Much as he wishes it were. In fact, he wishes it were a political party and era more like that of his great grandfathers, when women and people of color had no rights or voting privileges. and Democrats like Mamdani knew their place. Johnson is also right that there is no one who can stop it.

So maybe Johnson should just sit down and shut up for while as the adults run the country. It’s not like he’s actually doing anything anyway. He has presided over the least productive Congress in decades. And his overarching tendency has been to surrender every last remnant of the constitutional duties of the Legislative branch of government to Dear Leader Trump. Including allowing Trump to pocket billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money

The MAGA GOP speaker says that an action by Trump's "Justice" Department (to pay him billions of dollars) "is not in my purview." ???Oversight of the Executive branch and its agencies is a core function of Congress. Johnson is, once again, surrendering his jurisdiction to Dear Leader Trump.

Trump Unloads Dozens of Insane Posts, Including Calling for the Arrest of Obama for Treason

The mental health of Donald Trump has long been a matter of public concern. And symptoms of his psychological and emotional infirmity are alarmingly present in his daily behavior with ever increasing regularity. These problems have previously been documented by professionals in books such as The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 37 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President.”

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Barack Obama, Donald Trump

Evidence of Trump’s decline continues to be on display in the bizarre, daily outbursts he unleashes on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social. However, on Monday night he reached a new plateau of insanity, at least until the next one.

SEE THIS: Trump FREAKS OUT Over All the Bad News Dragging Him (and America) Down: Iran, Epstein, and More

Trump posted at least two dozen of some of the most blatantly ridiculous conspiracy theories about everything from the 2016 and 2020 elections being rigging, to allegations that Obama profited from Obamacare, to long ago debunked nonsense that Obama spied on Trump, and to charges that Jack Smith and James Comey fabricated evidence against him.

Literally none of those posts contained a shred of truth. And most of them were obvious nonsense invented by QAnon and other conspiracy kooks who never bother to provide any credible documentation. There was too much of this flaming bullshittery to respond to them all. But there was one that can serve as representative of the rest. It began with an all-caps headline bellowing that “BOMBSHELL EXPOSED: Obama’s Coup Plot UNRAVELING!”

Needless to say, there was no bombshell, no exposure, and nothing that was unraveled. The post went on to unravel flagrant lies that…

“Twenty CIA and FBI whistleblowers just dropped the hammer — Barack Obama and his CIA puppet John Brennan cooked up the entire Russia Hoax to steal the 2016 election and overthrow a duly elected President Trump. They doctored intelligence, weaponized the deep state, and launched a years-long witch hunt to destroy our movement.

“This isn’t conspiracy — it’s treason. The video proves they knew exactly what they were doing. How much longer do we let these criminals walk free? Time for real justice. Lock them up. Drain the swamp for good. Trump was right all along.”

To summarize, Trump’s post is baselessly accusing President Obama of a “Coup Plot” wherein he allegedly “cooked up the entire Russia Hoax to steal the 2016 election.” The post concludes that Obama and his administration are guilty of “treason” and that it’s time to “lock them up.” And the “proof” of these charges was supposedly in an attached video of an old press briefing on March 22, 2017, by former Rep. Devin Nunes, who went on to become the CEO of Truth Social, but was recently fired.

At the briefing, Nunes spoke about intelligence gathering related to Trump and Russia. It was later concluded that nothing improper was done and that Trump’s allegations of wrongdoing were lies. What’s more, the FBI, and later Special Counsel Robert Mueller, did uncover extensive contacts between Trump associates and Russians, contrary to Nunes’s early suggestion that there was “nothing there.”

MORE HERE: Exoneration? Collusion? Obstruction? Trump’s Fate is Sealed By 3 Brief Exchanges with Mueller

All of that glaringly fictional garbage was in just a single post. Trump made 23 others that were just as bad. They called for the arrest of Obama. Although they seemed to have forgotten that the Supreme Court ruling that gave Trump near universal immunity applies to Obama as well. They pretended to have irrefutable “evidence,” but it was all unsupported babbling by online crackpots.

The Crackpot-in-Chief, Donald Trump, embraced all of this hogwash and reposted it as facts. And just to seal the deal, here is one more of those posts that he either believed was real, or didn’t care that he was disseminating lies to his gullible flock of cult followers…

Trump posted this Monday night. It is all LIES!Sen. Kennedy never said any of these things about President Obama earning money from Obamacare. And Obama never earned any such money. It originated from a "satirical" website that discloses that everything they post is fiction.

TRUMP BABIES? Dr. Oz Has a Plan to Increase the U.S. Birthrate that Has a Troubling History

The Ego that Ate America is once again on the rampage as Donald Trump leads a parade of his cult devotees to his gold-plated Oval Office for a ceremonial Kissing Of The Royal…let’s say Ring. On this occasion Trump was exalting himself for proposing a maternal health initiative, including the launch of a new government website for new and expectant mothers. And if it’s anything like Trump’s other initiatives, America’s moms better steer clear of it.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

This sort of glory hailing by Trump has become a regularly scheduled affair to fluff Dear Leader. And he probably really needs it now, as his persistently cranky disposition may be more on edge than usual due to his abysmally depressed approval ratings. With each new day he manages to achieve another record low.

SEE THIS: Trump is APPALLED that Nobody is Talking About a CNN Poll With 100% Approval – That Doesn’t Exist

Of particular note during this conclave were the contributions by Trump’s administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, “doctor” Mehmet Oz, whose very name conjures up images of a conman behind a curtain. Dr. Oz was called upon to discuss some of the critical details that made up Trump’s new initiative. And if you were expecting more of the standard BS that emanates from the Trump regime, you won’t be disappointed. Oz began by lobbying for what he called “Trump Babies.” No, really…

“There are private companies that are now taking advantage of the whole group of individuals who can get access to fertility medications and its treatments that go with them. And if the services get better, we make them more affordable, we’ll have more Trump babies.”

Dr. Oz wants "more Trump babies?" "TRUMP BABIES!?!"See "The Lebensborn Program"encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/a…

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-05-11T17:13:02.898Z

WHUT? Dr. Oz wants “more Trump babies?” “TRUMP BABIES!?!” WTF are Trump Babies? And if they are anything like Eric and Don Jr., who actually wants them?

What is more worrisome is that this sort of babbling is reminiscent of another initiative that was pursued by one of Trump’s historical idols. Way back in the 1930’s the Hitler regime proposed something that sounded chillingly similar. While there were some notable differences in details, just the rhetorical similarity makes one’s skin crawl. According to the Holocaust Encyclopedia

“The Nazi regime encouraged the birth of children deemed ‘racially valuable’ in order to increase Germany’s ‘Aryan’ population. This campaign closely reflected the regime’s racial ideology and theories of eugenics.” […]

“The Lebensborn program was designed by the SS to increase Germany’s declining birthrate…[Heinrich] Himmler personally oversaw many aspects of the Lebensborn program. He encouraged SS men to marry early and have at least four children.” […]

“The Nazi regime strengthened existing German laws that prohibited most abortions.”

Trump has definitely advocated policies that approach the Nazi’s brand of eugenics. Aside from frequently boasting about his own “superior” genes, Trump has referred to minorities as “vermin” who are “poisoning the blood” of America. He has maligned immigrants who he said came from “shithole countries.” He has complained that there are already too many of “those” people who don’t meet the genetic standards he has set. No, really…

MORE HERE: Master Racist Trump Attacks America: ‘We’ve Got a Lot of Bad Genes in Our Country Right Now’

Dr. Oz went on to outline his plan for a Whiter America. That plan calls for addressing a crisis that he describes as being “under-babied.” No, really…

“Let me speak about the realities that one in three Americans are under-babied. What does under-babied mean? That means that you either don’t have any children or you have less children than you would normally want to have. And to Katie’s point, we have a crisis that’s causing our fertility rate to drop below 1.5. The replacement rate is 2.1. So we’re way below what we need just to replace the people that we have in America.”

Dr Oz: "One in three Americans are under-babied"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-05-11T15:28:35.754Z

Now, on the surface that may not sound particularly racist. But when you look at the numbers that Oz uses to justify his plan, his true motivations become clear. As recently reported by ABC News

“A major demographic shift is underway in the United States. White births in the country have fallen below 50% for the first time ever. That’s among the findings in a new study published Friday by professors from the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.”

The birthrate that Oz is worried about isn’t that of the nation as a whole, and certainly not that of the nation’s minorities, whose birthrate remains pretty strong. What the Trumpists are afraid of is that minorities are reproducing at significantly higher rates than Whites. And in Trumpland they consider that to be a crisis that requires immediate attention.

Thus their new proposal that is aimed at those who they currently perceive to be under producing. And that’s the White population. The Trump regime seems to have improved on the Nazi plan by disguising it in softer language, and by not being as blatantly bigoted. But it unmistakably shares some of the same objectives.

What’s more, those objectives are also being pursued by Trump and his MAGA Republicans in electoral matters by drawing new congressional district maps that erase districts currently represented by Blacks and other minorities. And if you think that it’s all just a coincidence, then don’t be surprised when you find out that you’re next.

FOX NEWS PASTOR: ‘Trump Has a Better Understanding of What the Bible Teaches than the Pope’

From its inception the MAGA movement led by Donald Trump was more of a religious crusade, or more accurately a cult, than it was a political group. Trump had no political ideology to speak of. He just latched unto whatever shallow notions he thought he could exploit at the time.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Messiah

Trump behaves like a self-appointed messianic figure who claims infallibility and demands unflinching loyalty. He descended from a golden escalator to bestow his decrees of deceit and fear unto a willingly gullible flock of followers. He assembled a congregation of media cardinals to preach his vulgarian gospel. And sadly, he’s had some success at twisting weak minds.

SEE THIS: Trump Proudly Hypes a Poll that Shows His MAGA-tists are Mindless Members of a Totalitarian Cult

On Saturday Trump was, as usual, cavorting with his wealthy pals at a golf tournament being held at his own course in Miami. But his ministers were at their pulpits on Fox News delivering their sermons. For instance, maga-church pastor Robert Jeffress was interviewed on Fox News Live about Trump’s dust up with the Pope over his “little excursion” to Iran (video below)…

“I think it’s commendable that the Trump administration is meeting with the Pope and trying to work with the Pope. The Pope is a good man. He’s sincere in his faith, but he is sincerely wrong when it comes to Iran. The Pope ought to know, and I think he does know, God created both the church and government for two distinct purposes. The role of the church is to point people to faith in Jesus Christ, but the role of government is to protect citizens from evildoers, according to Romans 13.

First of all, Jeffress needs to refresh himself on the text of Romans 13. It doesn’t say that the role of government is to “protect citizens from evildoers.” It says that people must submit to the authorities because they are ordained by god. Although Republicans reject that scriptural law if the authorities happen to be Democrats. What’s more, in America the authorities are ordained by the people through elections. But Republicans ignore that constitutional law if it means relinquishing power.

More to the point, Jeffress offers his praise for Trump for sending Marco Rubio to the Vatican to clean up the mess Trump made by lying that the Pope wants Iran to have nuclear weapons. Also, there is no evidence that Trump is “trying to work with the Pope,” who advocates for peace, while Trump is a recidivist war monger. Jeffress continued…

“And look, 3 days after this conflict began, I was in the Oval Office with president Trump and a few other faith leaders, and he told us that Iran was within weeks of getting a powerful weapon that would destroy Israel, much of the Middle East, and could bring great harm to America. And he had no choice but to act. And I thanked him then for having the courage to fulfill his god-given responsibility to protect our nation. And you know the great irony is that it looks like president Trump has a better understanding of what the bible teaches about the role of government than the Pope has.”

Jeffress eagerly believed Trump when he told him that “Iran was within weeks of getting a powerful weapon.” Of course, Trump was lying. Trump’s war against Iran was entirely his choice. And it has gone straight downhill from there, as Iran has maintained their control of the region. The result has been a severe blow the world economy and the economic welfare of the American people.

However, perhaps the most preposterous comment Jeffress made in this interview was that “Trump has a better understanding of what the bible teaches about the role of government than the Pope has.” In order to believe that you would have to accept that the bible teaches that it is righteous to commit war crimes, cheat on multiple wives, engage in pedophilia, grift billions through felony fraud, persecute immigrants, and deny food and healthcare to the needy. You know, all the things that Trump does.

Something tells me that the Pope is better role model and representative of biblical teachings than the sociopath currently occupying the White House.

Trump-fluffer Robert Jeffries is a phony Fox News "pastor" who believes that the bible teaches…? Committing war crimes? Cheating on multiple wives? Engaging in pedophilia? Grifting billions through felony fraud? Persecuting immigrants? Denying food and healthcare to the needy.

Trump Threatens to Charge Hakeem Jeffries with Inciting Violence for What a Trump Staffer Said

The politicization of the “Justice” Department under Donald Trump is accelerating as his poll numbers sink to new record lows. It’s clear that Trump is lashing out more furiously at his political foes as the risk of his losing power becomes more imminent and less possible for him to ignore.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Twitter

Since his second occupation of the White House began, Trump has sought to prosecute members of Congress for reminding soldiers that they are legally obligated to disobey unlawful orders. He has had several critics indicted on phony charges of mortgage fraud. He is persecuting former FBI Director James Comey over some seashells that spelled out “8647.” In just the past week Trump’s legal inquisition has launched campaigns against Louise Lucas, a Democratic state representative who led the redistricting effort in Virginia, and a journalist who documented the dangerously erratic behavior of Trump’s FBI director, Kash Patel.

SEE THIS: Trump’s FBI Boss, Kash Patel, Goes After the Reporter Who Exposed Him as an Incompetent Lush

On Thursday morning Trump was busy conducting what he believes is his highest priority presidential duty: posting lies, self-exaltations, and offensive memes on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social. Among his latest online outbursts was one wherein he called for the criminal prosecution of the Democratic Leader in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries. Trump posted his racist rage that Jeffries replied to in much more diplomatic – and sane – manner…

“This lunatic, Hakeem ‘Low IQ’ Jeffries, should be charged with INCITING VIOLENCE! The Radical Left Democrats actually want to Destroy our Country. President DJT”

Notice that Trump is trying to associate Jeffries’ remarks with the the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last month. It isn’t the first time that Trump has tried to exploit that event for selfish reasons. But on this occasion he is going even farther off the edge by threatening criminal prosecution.

What’s worse is that Trump is misrepresenting what Jeffries said. The reference to “maximum warfare” was made by Jeffries in response to Trump urging his MAGA Republicans in Texas and elsewhere to conduct unprecedented mid-census redistricting in order to steal congressional seats from Democrats. It was not remotely related to violence. Jeffries said that…

“We are in an era of maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time. And we are going to keep the pressure on Republicans at every single state in the union, to ensure at the end of the day, that there is a fair, national map. Because we believe that it is the people who should decide who is in the majority in the next Congress. Not Donald Trump and MAGA extremists.”

However, Jeffries was not the author of that “maximum warfare” language. It was first used by a Trump White House staffer. Jeffries was deliberately throwing it back in the face of the Trump regime that frequently employs blatantly hostile rhetoric. It fact, much more so as revealed in study by Trump’s own Justice Department.

As reported by the New York Times in August 2025, “One person close to the president, who insisted on anonymity to describe the White House’s political strategy, candidly, summed it up succinctly: ‘Maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time.'” So Trump’s meme is blaming Jeffries for what his own staffer said. Should Democrats call for that staffer to be prosecuted?

In Trump’s defense, it’s possible that he has no idea where the phrase – or the meme quoting it – came from. He’s too mentally impaired to assume that he has that sort of comprehension. However, his minions surely know and they allow him to post these lies. Even though it affirms his aspirations of authoritarian control wherein he incarcerates anyone who is less than unflinchingly worshipful.

On the other hand, Trump posted another meme Thursday morning that is more along the lines of the psychoses he suffers from…

Trump is STILL OBSESSED with the Democrats that haunt his nightmares. So he posts a dishonest and offensive cartoon attacking Biden, Obama, and Clinton.Meanwhile, the American people continue to struggle to make ends meet, while Trump is the one sleeping on the job.

Trump’s FBI Boss, Kash Patel, Goes After the Reporter Who Exposed Him as an Incompetent Lush

The vengeance driven retribution campaign of Donald Trump and company has been a prominent feature of his second occupation of the White House. It has placed numerous Democrats, wayward Republicans, and other critics in legal jeopardy just for daring to take honest positions in opposition to Trump and his MAGA cult movement.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Among the victims of the Trump regime’s revenge tour have been members of the media that they have attacked both civilly – by filing meritless lawsuits against news organizations – and criminally – by directing his “Justice” Department to prosecute journalists on blatantly phony charges. Most recently Trump’s FBI director, Kash Patel, followed his master’s lead by suing The Atlantic over a story that revealed him to be an incompetent administrator with a serious drinking problem.

SEE THIS: FBI Director Kash Patel Tells Fox News He’s Filing a Lawsuit Over Allegations of His Drinking

The Atlantic’s story profiled Patel’s unseemly behavior, alleging that “He is erratic, suspicious of others, and prone to jumping to conclusions before he has necessary evidence.” And that “The problems with his conduct…include both conspicuous inebriation and unexplained absences.”

Shortly after the article was published, Patel announced on Fox News that he was filing a $250 million defamation lawsuit. But as it turns out, that’s not the only overt act of retaliation that he’s taking. As reported by MS NOW, Patel’s FBI is going after the reporter…

“FBI agents are probing the reporter who wrote a detailed story of Patel’s alleged heavy drinking and erratic behavior.” […]

“The journalist, Sarah Fitzpatrick, cited two dozen anonymous sources in a detailed story reporting that Patel’s alcohol consumption and erratic behavior had caused deep concern among FBI officials. Patel was known to drink to the point of intoxication, she reported, adding that on occasion his security detail had trouble waking him in the morning.”

MS NOW’s reporting noted that such an investigation of Fitzpatrick “could be used by FBI agents to obtain her phone records, run her name and information through FBI databases and examine her social media contacts.” And The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, responded by saying that, “If true, this would be an outrageous, illegal, and dangerous attack on the free press and the First Amendment.”

Indeed. Siccing the FBI on a journalist who wrote a critical article could not be a more egregious breach of the Constitution’s protection of the free press. It’s the sort of thing one might expect of a totalitarian regime like the ones in Russia or North Korea that Trump idolizes and seeks to emulate. But in America it would be a criminal abuse of power that could land Patel in prison.

An FBI spokesperson has denied that any investigation of Fitzpatrick was underway. But given the credibility of statements issued by Trump, or anyone in is administration, it would be fair to take such denials with a pound or two of salt. On the other hand, the reporting by The Atlantic and Fitzpatrick has been impeccable and, to date, unimpeachable.

So you can make your own choice as to who to believe. The highly respected journalist with dozens of knowledgeable sources, or the guy who still says that Trump won the 2020 election, and that the Epstein files contain no evidence of any crimes, and that James Comey’s “8647” seashells were a threat to kill Trump, and that Trump declassified in his mind the documents found at Mar-a-Lago, and that Trump was exonerated of collusion with Russia by the Mueller Report, and any number of other conspiracy theories to which Patel had subscribed?

UPDATE: Following Patel’s harassment of The Atlantic’s reporter, he ordered polygraphs of his own staffers and security detail. He is scared, desperate, and suffering from acute paranoia. Which makes him a danger to democracy.

Trump is APPALLED that Nobody is Talking About a CNN Poll With 100% Approval – That Doesn’t Exist

The resting state of Donald Trump’s personality, or what passes for one, is “Unbridled Rage.” Consequently, it isn’t exactly news when he is appalled by something. But it is still useful to pay attention to precisely what absurdities are triggering the Narcissist-in-Chief.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Mocking Disability

On Monday morning Trump hosted a group of athletes and children, along with a couple of his Cabinet flunkies, at the White House to promote physical fitness. That’s a subject that Trump is almost as unqualified to discuss as mental fitness. Trump’s impairment is so noticeably bad that recent polling shows that the American people regard President Biden, who Trump has maligned as mentally incompetent, as preferable to Trump.

SEE THIS: CUE TRUMP TANTRUM: Multiple Polls Find that Most Americans Favor Biden Over Trump

In this morning’s event Trump rattled off his usual quota of lies and inanities. Many were inappropriate for his youthful guests. But one that deserves some extra attention is his preposterous claim to being so beloved by his cult followers that it was even affirmed by a poll conducted by “fake news” CNN. Trump babbled that…

I am at, according to CNN, 100% approval within the Republican Party…Did you see the CNN poll? Nobody talks about it. I think the people that did that poll probably got fired. But within the Republican Party and MAGA, which is basically 100% of the party I think,”

Trump lies: "According to CNN, I'm at 100% approval within the Republican Party"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-05-05T15:49:59.081Z

There is a pretty good reason that nobody is talking about that CNN poll. It doesn’t exist. What Trump is talking about is a poll by NBC in March that found that among his MAGA devotees Trump had 100% approval. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s like finding that 100% of the pigs in a sty approve of the mud.

At least this time Trump acknowledged that the poll respondents were Republicans and MAGA. On previous occasions he cited the same poll, but left out that detail, implying that 100% of the population at large approved of him. Even so, in these new remarks Trump is still misleading by saying that MAGA “is basically 100% of the party.” Actually, in the same NBC poll they segmented the results to show that among non-MAGA Republicans, Trump’s approval was only 66%. So a third (31%) of his own party doesn’t approve of him.

So what Trump said was “according to CNN,” wasn’t. And Trump flagrantly misrepresented what NBC’s poll did find. And he even imagined that CNN fired their pollsters. Never mind that virtually every recent poll shows that Trump is languishing at record lows for approval, as well as on every major issue, including Iran, the economy, immigration, etc.

No wonder Trump is so obsessed with lying about the abysmal state o of his popularity, or utter lack thereof. He is literally the most despised president in modern times. This forebodes badly for him with regard to the upcoming midterm elections. His ego simply can’t handle that rejection. So he’s feverishly trying to deceive his disciples – and, more importantly in his mind, himself.

Dementia J. Trump Furiously Denies Being Human to ‘Fake News’ ABC’s Jonathan Karl After the WHCD

The last thing that Donald Trump would ever want is for anyone to think that he might harbor human feelings of empathy or concern for others. It has become a basic tenet of the MAGA cult that values that embody compassion or kindness are signs of weakness.

Donald Trump Angry

Trump proudly offers himself up as a role model for such disregard for the welfare of others. He leads by example, publicly celebrating the passing of respected Americans like Rob Reiner and Robert Mueller, referring to fallen soldiers as “suckers and losers,” and making bellicose, genocidal threats against innocent civilians in Iran, saying that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if they don’t submit to his MAGA-sterial demands. And sadly, his cult devotees follow along.

SEE THIS: Trump’s INSANE Threats and War Crimes Against Iran are Dismissed by His Acting Attorney General

In an apparent attempt to drive home this despicable persona, Trump posted a comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, on Monday morning that affirms his commitment to heartlessness. The comment is his refutation of an accusation that he might have actually cared briefly about the well being of someone other than himself. Trump complained that…

“Jonathan Karl, of ABC Fake News, made a statement that I called him early in the morning, the day after the assassination attempt, to ask whether or not HE was OK. No, this was a hit on ME, not HIM, and I didn’t make such a call, why would I do that? He called me, but I didn’t take his call — He just confirmed that to me when he called again. I would say that’s very dishonest reporting. He’s trying to make himself look important but, I’m not surprised, because it comes from ABC Fake News! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Let the repulsiveness of that comment sink in for a moment. Trump is outraged that Karl reported on a phone he call he received from Trump wherein he said that Trump expressed concern for his welfare after a gunman’s attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (WHCD) last week. But Trump felt compelled to insist that he never made the call or felt any concern for Karl. “Why would I,” Trump asked.

Indeed. Why would Trump ever show any concern for anyone but himself when he’s never done that before? Trump seems to think that Karl’s remarks drew attention away from Trump, which is totally intolerable. Furthermore, Trump wasn’t about to tolerate anyone thinking that he had suddenly developed the character flaw of feeling compassion.

There is also the question of who is telling the truth about the phone call. Karl reported that he received Trump’s call on the morning after the WHCD. He posted a video describing what happened during an appearance on Good Morning America the next day, saying that…

“It was president Trump calling. He said he was calling to see if I was okay. It was clear the real reason he was calling, in addition to that, was that he wanted to be sure that this dinner gets rescheduled. He knew that I had been involved in planning White House Correspondents’ Dinners. He says we have to get this done, and done soon.”

On the other hand, Trump is refuting Karl’s reporting a week after it was broadcast. What took him so long? What’s more, Trump alleges that Karl called Trump back to affirm that Trump never called him the first time. Why would Karl have done that when Trump had not yet said anything about the call at all? And for the record, as of this writing, Karl has not affirmed what Trump said that he had affirmed.

There is, of course, another reason to believe Karl’s version of events. That is that Trump is a documented pathological liar. And now we see that his psychosis is so severe that he will even lie to refute something that was said about about him that most people would consider to be a compliment. So it is abundantly clear that Trump is determined to maintain his image as a bloated windbag of hatefulness.

Crybaby Trump Whines that Fox News Hosted Bill Maher, Who Trump Has Hosted at the White House

Determined to preserve his crown as the “Most Fabulous Whiner” (his own words) to have ever occupied the White House, Donald Trump just lashed out at his own Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, for having the audacity to interview alleged comedian Bill Maher.

Donald Trump, Wah

The comment posted to his desperately failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, was a tediously long tirade that traversed a vast array of unrelated subjects. Trump likes to frame these incoherent rants positively as what he calls “weaving.” Which is also what they call what drunk drivers do on the highway. But Trump’s inability to focus is more representative of serious mental impairment. Which partially explains why the American people are so sick and tired of his demented antics.

SEE THIS: FLYING KETCHUP ALERT: Trump is Polling Worse than Both Biden and Carter on Inflation

The comment that Trump posted Saturday night (see below) was a typical display of the seething rage that is eating him up. It’s impossible to make any sense out of most of it, but there are a few passages that should be recognized as warnings of the psychological collapse that is already in progress. He began by saying that…

“I hate seeing Fox, and other Conservative Outlets, constantly making Low Rated Bill Maher ‘relevant’ as it pertains to the Republican Party, and beyond. Bill Maher is a weak and ineffective person who I got to know very well during my dinner with him at the White House.”

That’s right. Trump is outraged that Fox News would dare to invite Maher onto their network, even though it was okay for Trump to invite him to the White House. Trump also claims to have gotten to know Maher “very well” over a single dinner. And Trump found that Maher is “a weak and ineffective person,” and therefore requires elaborate, lengthy, and irrational rebuttals.

Never mind that Maher actually praised Trump following their dinner. He claimed to like Trump and described him as “gracious.” But any show of respect or submission to Trump is quickly forgotten if it isn’t constantly repeated and without any hint of criticism.

True to form, Trump is now lambasting Maher in terms that fail to be comprehensible. For instance, Trump said that Maher’s request for a drink upon entering the White House was both “very endearing” and “absolutely pathetic.” But then Trump switched gears to complain about Maher’s interview of California Gov. Gavin Newsom. Trump is viscerally afraid of Newsom and frequently maligns him in the childish manner that only Trump can muster. He said that…

“I happened to watch Gavin Newscum, an admittedly Low IQ person, who said he can’t read a speech, is dumb, and essentially, incompetent. […] Gavin went on and on about how good California is doing, while it’s doing very poorly, having, by far, the worst year it’s ever had.”

Of course, none of Trump’s complaints ever approached reality. Trump’s despicable and false reference to Newsom’s “admittedly Low IQ” was actually spun from Newsom’s honest and relatable revelations about his his youthful issues with dyslexia, not IQ. As for California, it is the most profitable state in the nation. It contributed about 14.5% of the total U.S. GDP in 2025. In fact, during Newsom’s governorship it has become the fourth biggest economy in the world, following the United States, China, and Germany.

Nevertheless, Trump paraded his usual litany of lies, accusing Newsom of failing with regard to homelessness, transportation, and wildfires in Los Angeles, that Trump has said he would have extinguished by turning on a giant imaginary faucet in Northern California. He really believes that water flows “downhill” from north to south.

Trump closed by blasting Fox as “weak, stupid, and ineffective” for interviewing Maher, who he also said is “slightly more talented than Jimmy Kimmel.” That’s actually a cheap, backhanded slap at Kimmel, who Trump is obsessed with, and is determined to banish from the airwaves. It will never stop being disconcerting that Trump unleashes harsher rhetoric against Kimmel and other comedians than he does against Iran, Russia, or international terrorists.

Trump posted a long tirade attacking Bill Maher and Gavin Newsom. It's a steaming pile of lies and hate. Don't bother reading it unless you have a strong stomach. But just look at it and be dumbfounded at how we got to a place where someone this deranged holds a position of power.
