TOO LATE! Trump Says He Will Spend $400 Million in Futile Effort to Avoid a Midterm MAGA Massacre

In the last two weeks of an election cycle there are frequently frantic candidates scurrying around to make their closing arguments and shore up their campaign’s efforts to prevail. That generally manifests in advertising blitzes and multiple media appearances. And this midterm election cycle is no different for the most part. However, where their are differences they come from a familiar source.

Donald Trump, Snake Tongue

Donald Trump may think he’s fooling people with his constant claims of unmitigated successes, but the more dismal reality is evident for all to see. For instance, Trump says that he’s winning (or has already won) his war against Iran. He says that prices for gas and groceries and everything else have come way down. He brags incessantly that his mere presence in a campaign guarantees electoral victory. Which makes you wonder why Democrats are happier about his “help” than Republicans are.

As this election season comes to a close, Trump has just pledged that he is finally making a financial contribution to his party’s candidates. Something that he has not done all year. He posted a comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social saying that…

“Because of my belief in the Republican Party, and all of our Policies and Principles, and especially after witnessing what is taking place in France, and other locations throughout Europe, I am pleased to announce that, having to do with the Most Important Midterm Elections in our Country’s History, I have spent, or will be spending, over 400 Million Dollars by Election Day. More than 300 Million Dollars has already been spent on Advertising, Direct and Indirect Voter Contact, Rallies, Rally Arenas, Telerallies, Get Out the Vote Programs, Election Integrity, and more. It is my Great Honor to do so on behalf of the Republican Party, which has done so much to bring our Country back from the Edge of Oblivion.”

That’s right! Trump has such a strong belief in the Republican Party that he waited until two weeks before election day to make a sizable donation for what he says is “the Most Important Midterm Elections in our Country’s History.” Although he says that $300 million has already been spent, there is no record of that in any election funding reports.

Does anyone actually trust Trump to spend this money? Not only would it be out of character for him to make good on this promise, but he doesn’t say where he would get the funds to donate. The only ads he has run so far he paid for illegally with taxpayer money, even after being told to stop by a federal judge.

Assuming that Trump really did spend $300 million on GOP campaigns already (doubtful), what benefit has resulted from it? Republicans are still trailing badly in many contests that a year ago they were expected to win. One explanation is that Trump is counting the spending on his cult rallies and the arenas. Those events were more for Trump than his MAGA comrades. The candidates in those areas frequently declined to appear with him. And their polling has not improved.

This alleged campaign donation is just another empty promise by Trump to get some favorable press. Like everything else, he’s only in it for himself. His previous promises of cash dividends were essentially bribes to get people to vote for his MAGA clan. He literally promised to give every adult in the country $5,000 – more than a trillion dollars of taxpayer funds – if Republicans win. And he made no exceptions for millionaires or murderers, rapists or drug dealers, or any other villainous persons, such as members of his family.

Other instances where Trump has used taxpayer funds as bribes for votes include offering FEMA payouts to victims of natural disasters in red states. And just this weekend, he offered another multibillion dollar bailout for farmers to offset the damage done by his idiotic energy policies and his war against Iran.

OH GREAT! Trump is proposing yet another multibillion dollar taxpayer bailout to offset the damage done by his idiotic energy policies and his war against Iran.

Of course, all of these examples of political bribery are aimed at helping Republicans from whom Trump will then demand return favors. This is not how you run a constitutional democracy. It’s how you run an authoritarian dictatorship. Which is what Trump obviously aspires to.
