As one might expect from the network that preaches unfettered access to every type of assault weapon imaginable, the NRA-theists at Fox News have gone ballistic over a proposal to raise taxes on certain weapons and ammunition.
Fox published an article with a headline declaring that a Democratic bill would “trigger huge new taxes.” on guns and ammo. While noting that the deficit reducing bill would “generate $600 million per year, which would be used to fund law-enforcement and gun violence prevention,” the article also quoted anti-gun safety lobbyist, Alan Gottlieb, saying that the bill is “nothing more than confiscatory taxation.”
Studies show that raising taxes on guns and ammo can be an effective means of curtailing crime and firearms assaults. But the best argument for increased levies came from internationally respected sociologist and comedian, Chris Rock:

I enjoy articles like this – it is proof that you are NOT able to get your propaganda through to the public so you do as all good progressives do, try and regulate or tax something into extinction – There is no question Alan Gottlieb is correct in his assessment, I’m sure the tax rate would be pretty high and make it very difficult for the average american to buy what he wants. I admire your conviction, but if you couldn’t win the debate after a bunch of 1st graders were killed by a crazy person, this won’t get you much further. So long as the people of this country see gun ownership as a RIGHT, you’ll be frustrated with your goal of making guns illegal – all guns, not just those you think are more dangerous. I think the framer of the constitution must have been clairvoyant in including a Bill of Rights – they must have seen your ilk coming 200 years ago. Your bullshit rationales to convince people to give up some right just isn’t working – I say have every democrat scream this idea from the rooftops – I’m sure it will allow the GOP to maintain the house control to keep your agenda from passing – their not good for much else.

It is great that sites like this are up. The lamestream media is afraid of the gun nuts, and will hide anti-gun manufacturer stories from the general public.
Gun nuts, like Steve in York live in a crazed paranoid condition and want to spread their insanity to the rest of us.
I proudly identify with progressives who do not want to live at the mercy of the crazed gun nuts. Tax their bullets at 1000%.

Most of them are barely capable of clear thinking, so anything that prods their lunatic synapses towards sanity is of immeasurable social benefit.

And to add to that – the rest of the american people have much, much more to fear from the likes of you who would give up and compromise all your freedoms out of fear. Like I said in my initial post, the framers of the constitution saw you and those like you coming a long time ago when they included the bill of rights as part of the constitution – to defend the rest of us from progressives like you.
Oh, brilliant. So, that was the Federal government that shot up the elementary school? Columbine? Virginia Tech? Movie theater in Colorado? That’s the Federal government out there with red and blue bandannas hanging out of their asses and blowing kids away on the street. Those are trained FBI agents stalking around apartment complexes, shooting kids for carrying skittles, and that three year old who just shot his grandfather was CIA. The 15 year old who just took his Dad’s rifle and went on a killing spree for the hell of it, the 3,000 or so people killed by guns since Sandy Hook…all victims of the NSA and Shadow Government Lizard People. Well, thank GOD we have defenders of liberty like you, and prophets like Alex Jones. Apparently, there are so many false flags flying around out there, it’s good to know we can always turn to the guys with the guns and 10-year supplies of SPAM. And one more thing – you and all the progressive true believer here prove my point on why the people of this county have more to fear from your type than from my type – you can find any number of reasons why we should compromise our inalienable rights – of course only those you think are bad.
