Sean Hannity Drools Over Insane Trump Proposal to Give Everyone in Greenland $100,000

The Sycophancy Meter for devotees of Donald Trump routinely registers at the highest levels that it is capable of reporting. His cult members are entirely devoid of any measure of shame or self respect when it comes to affirming their unflinching adoration of Dear Leader.

Donald Trump Sean Hannity

Consistent with most cults, Trump’s is characterized by his painfully obvious psychological and emotional abnormalities. He is paranoid, petulant, rage-filled, malignant narcissist, with a tenuous grasp on reality. It is a profile that he shares with the likes of Jim Jones. Although a notable difference between Jones and Trump is that Trump would have charged his flock for the Kool Aid. Like Jones, however, Trump demands an unwavering faith in his infallibility, and eternal loyalty.

SEE THIS: Trump Whines That He Has ‘Accomplished So Much’ That ‘We Shouldn’t Even Have An Election’

In a demonstration of his unreserved reverence for Trump, Sean Hannity of Fox News led a segment on his program with MAGA Sen. Eric Schmitt of Missouri. The two discussed Trump’s ludicrous intentions to annex Greenland against the will of it’s citizens, with force if necessary, and despite the opposition of America’s allies in the European Union and NATO. In his fawning display of idolization, Hannity gushed that…

“Donald Trump’s forever in a state of negotiation. Everything’s negotiable. A $100,000 offer for every person in Greenland – on average making 60 grand a year – Denmark’s not exactly been generous to them. They don’t have the ability to help them take their natural resources to the next level and enrich every person in Greenland. We do…Seems like a no-brainer to me.”

Indeed. It would require having no brains to give Trump’s proposal even the slightest bit of serious consideration. Hannity’s praise of Trump for his alleged negotiating prowess is just more of the mythology that he is a great dealmaker. Never minds his numerous bankruptcies and multiple civil and criminal judgments for fraud. And don’t bother looking up the real author of his book, “The Art of the Deal.”

Hannity’s contention that for Trump “Everything’s negotiable,” is hardly a compliment. It highlights Trump’s ethical vacancy wherein he would negotiate away his mother’s dentures for a McDonalds Happy Meal for himself, or an award trophy that he didn’t earn. And he would make (and has made) the same awful deals with American principles.

The specific deal that Hannity is referencing involves Trump’s proposal to pay every resident of Greenland $100,000 in exchange for surrendering their sovereignty. Which just proves that Trump can put a price tag on anything, including honor, virtue, and patriotism. And if he would do that to Greenlanders, he would it to Americans.

What’s more, Hannity is exhibiting his own lack of moral character by lauding Trump’s shallowness and greed as virtuous. Hannity is also flaunting his ignorance by asserting that Denmark has not been “generous” to the Greenlanders. Does Hannity think that Trump would allow them to continue to receive free healthcare, education, and extended parental leave and vacation? Would they give up all of those lifetime benefits for a one-time handout?

As for their ability to “take their natural resources to the next level and enrich every person in Greenland,” maybe they don’t crave such materialism the way Trump does. Maybe they prefer the quality of life they have that regularly ranks Denmark as one of the happiest countries on Earth.

Finally, What would America get for the billions it would cost to compensate Greenland? It would just be another expenditure by Trump that only benefits him and his wealthy comrades, but ignores how the American people are struggling. All in all, a truly horrible deal. Which is exactly the kind that Trump specializes in. And neither Greenlanders nor Americans should take him up on it.

Trump’s Asst Attorney General for Civil Rights Maligns Liberal Americans as ‘Godless People’

The public profile of Donald Trump has always been a mash-up of preposterously fabricated personal characteristics that never match-up with reality. Beginning, of course, with his efforts to portray himself as a successful businessman and deal maker. Which was a stretch for someone with numerous bankruptcies whose book on deal making was written by someone else.

Donald Trump Messiah

Trump has also tried to pass himself off as brave military advocate (who dodged the draft five times and called those who didn’t “suckers” and “losers.” And he fancies himself a peace proponent (who invades foreign countries and even American cities). And he regards his mental capacity as surpassing that of other mere mortals (because he “passed” simple cognitive tests meant to detect early onset Alzheimer’s). For these, and many other self-serving reasons, Trump insists that he deserves everyone’s gratitude.

SEE THIS: POOR BABY: Trump Whines that Polls Don’t Give Him Credit for ‘the Greatness of America’

And speaking of gratitude, we must not forget that Trump also considers himself to be America’s pastor. Despite rarely attending any church services, and frequently disparaging the faith of others, Trump wants to held in the highest esteem as a religious prophet. Never mind that he is a serial adulterer, patron of prostitutes, pathological liar, pal (at least) of pedophiles, and prolific user of profanities. He remains the messiah of the MAGA cult.

On Monday morning Trump’s Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, Harmeet Dhillon, was “interviewed” by ultra-MAGA podcaster Benny Johnson. Johnson, by the way, is also a known asset of Russian propagandists. But that surely wouldn’t prevent any Trump cronies from embracing him. It probably helps.

During their discussion, Johnson and Dhillon talked about a recent incident where some protesters in Minneapolis interrupted the services of a right-wing pastor who also happened to be agent of the brutally inhumane Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). He was known to use his position in the church to defend the savage and unlawful tactics of ICE. The protest was seen by the Trumpist pair as an intolerable violation of religious liberty. So they took the opportunity to lie about and insult the protesters in a manner wholly inappropriate for any public servant.

Johnson: It’s not an act of journalism if I kick in the door of a synagogue and go up to the rabbi and start live-streaming that as people scream at the Jewish people trying to pray. Not that’s not an act of journalism. That’s terrorism.
Dhillon: One of the issues here is the people on the left that we’re talking about, they’re not familiar with what goes on in a house of worship. A lot of them are godless people.”

Assistant DOJ Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon: "The people on the left we're talking about, they're not familiar with what goes on in a house of worship. A lot of them are godless people."

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-01-19T15:46:18.731Z

To begin with, nobody “kicked in the door” of any religious facility. And to characterize the actions of the protesters as terrorism is to call Jesus Christ a terrorist. Anyone who has actually read the bible knows the story of when Jesus entered a temple and, upon seeing the sacrilegious activities carried out inside, overturned the tables and condemned the hypocrites.

In response, Dhillon accused the protesters of not being “familiar with what goes on in a house of worship.” Of course, she has no way of knowing that. And she doesn’t seem to be bothered by Trump not being familiar with anything regarding Christianity, or his brazen disrespect for all of its principles. You know, welcoming strangers, feeding the poor, healing the sick, humility, loving one another, etc.

This entire discussion was just another example of the hypocrisy that is employed by the Trump cultists, and their compulsion to exploit faith as a political tool in order to keep their glassy-eyed disciples in line. They have managed to live out the old saying that “When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross” And they do it with an unfathomable degree of pride mixed with ignorance. Which isn’t surprising considering the model presented by their Dear Leader…

HOLY CR*P! Trump Floats Executive Order to Dictate to TV Networks What They Are Allowed to Air

The aspiring authoritarian who currently occupies the White House, Donald Trump, appears to be determined to certify his role as America’s first dictator in the minds of the American people. It’s a role that he has coveted from the earliest days of his political career. So much so that he attempted to violently cling to power at the end of his first term.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

And Trump is not retreating from that stance. Whether it’s by unconstitutional declarations of war, deporting immigrants (including citizens) to foreign gulags, imposing tariffs (aka taxes) on international allies, or deploying soldiers into American cities to suppress lawful dissent, Trump is checking every box for a committed totalitarian tyrant. Even to the point of suggesting the cancelation of upcoming elections…

SEE THIS: Trump Whines That He Has ‘Accomplished So Much’ That ‘We Shouldn’t Even Have An Election’

High on Trump’s autocratic agenda is his craving to control the media. He has sought to achieve that goal through intimidation and threats of sabotaging the business prospects of any media enterprise that doesn’t kneel before him. And he is convinced that he has powers to force the press to obey his every demand.

For example, on Sunday morning Trump posted a comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, that is evidence of his dastardly schemes. He commanded that American television networks submit to his will with regard to what they air and when…

“The Army-Navy Game is one of our Greatest American Traditions — Unmatched Patriotism, Courage, and Honor! This incredible Tradition is now at risk of being pushed aside by more College Playoff Games, and Big TV Money. NOT ANYMORE!

“Under my Administration, the second Saturday in December belongs to Army-Navy, and ONLY Army-Navy! I will soon sign a Historic Executive Order securing an EXCLUSIVE 4 hour Broadcast window, so this National Event stands above Commercial Postseason Games. No other Game or Team can violate this Time Slot!!! […] Please let this serve as Notice to ALL Television Networks, Stations, and Outlets.”

WANNABE DICTATOR TRUMP thinks that he can order TV networks what they must broadcast and when by executive order.HE CAN'T! This is just more cranky babbling from a whiny, emotionally stunted, crybaby, seeking attention.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-01-18T11:37:05.461Z

Trump’s characterization of the Army-navy football game is cartoonish in its depth, or lack thereof. It is hardly a beacon of “Unmatched Patriotism, Courage, and Honor.” It’s freakin’ sporting event. And why Trump thinks that it has more significance than the college bowls that are played at the same time of year is a mystery that only his dementia can explain.

More to the point, Trump is assuming a ridiculous degree of authority over the television scheduling of these games. In a fair and free media marketplace, the networks would have the right to make those decisions on their own, based on popularity and potential advertising revenue. You know, like in a capitalist country that isn’t subjugated to a fascist overlord.

Trump’s threat to sign an executive order mandating his programming demands is as far outside of his duties as president as it can get. Not only is this none of his business, or the business of government, but his order has no legal force and the networks are free to ignore it. The only thing “Historic” about it is its unprecedented breach of constitutional law. So Trump can say that his order will “serve as Notice to ALL Television Networks,” all he wants. He has no authority to enforce it.

Unfortunately, Trump’s designs on American culture have been carried out even when his authority to do so is nonexistent. He has already assumed control of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Smithsonian Institution. And his influence there has been a grotesque change of course to unflinching Trump worship. Now he’s advancing on television.

The problem with regard to TV is that some of the networks have already demonstrated their weakness, greed, and un-Americanism, by bowing down to Trump. That’s particularly true of CBS, whose new corporate bosses have disgraced themselves by bending their reporting to Trump’s liking. And coincidentally, CBS has been the exclusive broadcast home for the Army-Navy football game since 1996. Is Trump trying to reward them for their gross sycophancy?

The danger here is the if Trump gets away with dictating what TV networks are allowed to air and when in this case, what’s to stop him from making similar demands in any other cases? He will surely want to test his powers to cancel programs he doesn’t like, force the airing of flattering propaganda, and to prevent any programs from competing with shows that he wants the nation to watch.

Is that the kind of television fare that the American people want? Because if Trump gets his way, that’s what they’ll get. Therefore, nobody should watch anything on any network that capitulates to Trump. THAT is the American way!

Trump Escalates His Threat to Take Greenland By Force in an Absolutely Insane Truth Social Rant

The legacy of Donald Trump is going to be jam-packed with the most profoundly preposterous actions and rhetoric of any president in the history of the United States – or any other nation for that matter. His wild outbursts attacking everything from previous presidents, to the free press, to windmills that kill birds and cause cancer, make life difficult for political comedians whose humor can’t compete with Trump’s insanity.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

However, Trump’s actions as president are far worse than his words. He has imposed inflationary tariffs on virtually every country on the planet, including our allies. He has terminated international aid that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths. He invaded Venezuela and abducted its president who he calls a drug trafficker, while granting pardons to certified, convicted drug kingpins. He has deployed soldiers into American cities to suppress constitutionally protected dissent. And for that abridged selection of Trump’s many malfeasances, he believes that he should be anointed president-for-life…

SEE THIS: Trump Whines That He Has ‘Accomplished So Much’ That ‘We Shouldn’t Even Have An Election’

If any further proof were needed that Trump is suffering from a severe case of mental impairment, Trump himself provided it on Saturday morning. He posted a tediously elongated tirade, intended to justify his deranged obsession with taking over Greenland, on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. It’s too long and filled with bullshit to repost. But what follows are a few annotated excerpts that provide a summary of just how far the cognitive rot has eaten into Trump’s mushy brain matter. He begins…

“We have subsidized Denmark, and all of the Countries of the European Union, and others, for many years by not charging them Tariffs.”
Not charging tariffs is not the same as subsidizing. To the contrary, charging tariffs is commonly regarded as a sanction. which is exactly how Trump is using them in this instance by his own admission.

“It is time for Denmark to give back — World Peace is at stake! China and Russia want Greenland.”
Denmark doesn’t owe the U.S. anything. And world peace is hardly at stake because Greenland is a territory of an American ally in NATO. Also, Russia and China have exhibit no interest in Greenland, and if they did they would face international resistance from the NATO alliance.

“They [Greenland] currently have two dogsleds as protection.”
Trump thinks this is funny. In reality Greenland has been successfully affiliated with Denmark for 300 years (longer than the U.S. has existed). And Denmark is well equipped with modern maritime and air power technologies, including a fleet of American F-35 fighter jets.

“Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland have journeyed to Greenland, for purposes unknown. This is a very dangerous situation. Therefore, it is imperative that, in order to protect Global Peace and Security, strong measures be taken.”
Trump is openly threatening an array of American allies. Which actually makes him the provocateur of a “dangerous situation.” Is he talking about the same “measures” he used against Venezuela?

“Starting on February 1st, 2026, all of the above mentioned Countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, and Finland), will be charged a 10% Tariff on any and all goods sent to the United States of America. On June 1st, 2026, the Tariff will be increased to 25%.”
So Trump is threatening to rescind his prior trade agreements that he made with these nations, and instead punish them for adhering to the long held NATO treaty obligations that the U.S. is also subject to. These tariffs will only make the cost of living hardships in the U.S. – which are due to Trump’s already atrocious economic policies – even worse.

“This Tariff will be due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland.”
In Trump’s mob boss lingo, he thinks that he is extorting America’s allies to coerce them into complying with his utterly unreasonable demands. “Give me what I want,” Trump is yalping, “or pay up.” But he is actually just forcing American companies and consumers to pay more for everything imported from these countries.

True to form, Trump is demonstrating how pitifully ignorant he is of economics and international relations. But unfortunately, it is the citizens of the U.S., and these foreign targets of Trump’s egomaniacal wrath, who will suffer.

There is, however, some good news. The suffering that Trump is causing may not be long lasting. Everything he is doing lately is contributing to his being the most reviled president in decades. And as his approval ratings sink into the abyss, his comrades in Congress will begin to fear the voters more than they fear him. At that point – and we may be there now – Trump will be vulnerable to political defiance, sanctions, and even impeachment. Particularly if he takes hostile actions toward Greenland. Or Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Portland, etc.

Dementia J. Trump Thanks Iran for Canceling 800 Hangings that His Warped Imagination Invented

From his earliest days in the political sphere, Donald Trump has displayed a disturbing affection for the world’s most brutal tyrants. His doe-eyed infatuation for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is both nauseating and treasonous. And he feels compelled to frequently remind everyone that he has great relationships with Putin, as well as China’s Xi Jinping, and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, QAnon, Dictator

Now we can add Iran to the list of totalitarian despots that Trump admires and seeks to emulate. Particularly with regard to their persistence in power. This week Trump expressed his belief that he ought to be made America’s president-for-life because he’s just so damn good at everything.

SEE THIS: Trump Whines That He Has ‘Accomplished So Much’ That ‘We Shouldn’t Even Have An Election’

Trump’s remarks concerning Iran were first posted to his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, on Friday morning. He gushed that

“I greatly respect the fact that all scheduled hangings, which were to take place yesterday (Over 800 of them), have been cancelled by the leadership of Iran. Thank you! DONALD J. TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”

Well, isn’t that sweet? Trump is thanking Iran for not going forward with mass executions. Never mind that there is no evidence that any such executions were scheduled, or would even be possible to carry out in a single day. And set aside the fact that Iran still incarcerates thousands of political prisoners whose eventual fate may be death by hanging. Trump believes that the murderous mullahs of Iran deserve his high praise.

Trump is thrilled with his manufactured account of 800 potential hangings. However, long time Trump observers know that Trump pulled that number out of his assumptions based on whatever he wants to believe at the moment. Which is the same place that he gets his numbers for everything from immigrant crimes, to tariff receipts, to cost of living reductions, to windmill bird massacres, to scores on his unusually repetitive cognitive tests.

Those assumptions are what form the basis for all of Trump’s critical decisions. For example, he was asked Friday about who convinced him not to bomb Iran after promising to come to the rescue of Iranian protesters who are being slaughtered in the streets. While failing to fulfill that promise, he replied that…

“Nobody convinced me — I convinced myself. You had, yesterday, scheduled, over 800 hangings. They didn’t hang anyone. They cancelled the hangings. That had a big impact.”

Trump: I convinced myself not to strike Iran

FactPost (@factpostnews.bsky.social) 2026-01-16T18:33:13.403380161Z

So Trump assured everyone that he consults only with himself on the big issues that face the nation, including the prospects of war. Which is a frighteningly common occurrence with Trump who recently said that the only checks on his power are “My own morality. My own mind.” His advice to himself on this occasion was to double down on his phony 800 hangings malarkey. And since Iran supposedly canceled the hangings, it is now appropriate to thank them and to refrain from assisting the protesters who they are still killing.

Meanwhile, Trump is employing in Minnesota what he has learned from Iran about dealing with protesters. Which is to overwhelm them with military force, and kill them if necessary, in order to restore compliance with Dear Leader’s autocratic reign. Trump is, if nothing else, a quick study in authoritarian tactics and the oppression of any and all dissent.

Unfortunately for Trump, the American people are not going to subjugate themselves to his imperious domination. We are a nation born of freedom, and raised on liberty. And those principles are firmly ingrained in our culture and our laws. In the end, Trump and his MAGA-tists will fail, and will be held accountable for their crimes. That is the American way.

Trump Whines That He Has ‘Accomplished So Much’ That ‘We Shouldn’t Even Have An Election’

The American experiment in democracy is facing some its most dire challenges during the second occupation of the White House by Donald Trump. He has never been an advocate of government “of, by, and for the people,” and he isn’t about to embrace those principles now.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

King Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

Abraham Lincoln’s hopes expressed in the Gettysburg Address couldn’t be more urgently needed today as the nation is engaged in a virtual Civil War between Trump and, well, pretty much everybody else who isn’t an indoctrinated Trump cultist. And if he has his way, the freedom and liberty that have been cherished goals for patriotic Americans for 250 years will sadly “perish from the Earth.” The madness of Der Trump is literally threatening to rip apart the American Dream.

SEE THIS: Trump Says it’s ‘Treasonous’ to Report His Frail Health, in a Post that Reveals His Frail Mind

In an interview with Reuters on Wednesday, Trump articulated some of his most bizarre and frightening aspirations for the future of this country. In particular, he was asked about the dismal prospects for his MAGA Republican Party in the upcoming midterm elections later this year. As reported by Reuters

“The president expressed frustration that his Republican Party could lose control of the U.S. House of Representatives or the Senate in this year’s midterm elections…He boasted that he had accomplished so much that ‘when you think of it, we shouldn’t even have an election.'”

Trump is justified in being frustrated by the electoral outlook for the GOP. Most polls show that Democrats are strong favorites to return to the majority in the House, and are well positioned to retake the Senate as well. Trump knows that if that happens, he will be subject to more accountability for his criminal misconduct than he has been with his MAGA flunkies running Congress. Including being impeached for the third time.

So it isn’t especially surprising that an anti-democracy, wannabe dictator like Trump told Reuters that, in his opinion, “we shouldn’t even have an election.” Trump has been angling for an excuse to either cancel elections, or so badly suppress voting, that the elections hardly matter. Most recently Trump floated the idea of invoking the Insurrection Act, which could be used to prevent or delay the election. Exploiting the chaos he’s been deliberately causing in Minneapolis, Trump posted a lie-filled comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, saying that…

“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT.”

Of course the politicians in Minnesota are not corrupt, they do obey the law, there are no professional agitators, and insurrectionists are not attacking ICE, who are provoking violence and assaulting innocent citizens.

Nevertheless, Trump’s Propaganda Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, sought to sane-wash Trump’s threat to cancel elections at her press briefing. She was asked about why Trump keeps talking about canceling the election. She replied that “The president was simply joking.” Because the thought of ending democracy in America is just so damn funny.

Q: Why does Trump keep talking about canceling the election?LEAVITT: He's speaking facetiously

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-01-15T18:32:08.929Z

In the same interview with Reuters Trump…

  • Said “I don’t care,” when asked about Senate Republicans expressing disapproval of his investigation into Federal Reserve chair, Jerome Powell.
  • Also said “I don’t care,” when told about “concerns that White House interference in the Fed could harm the economy.”
  • Whined that “Americans’ worries about high prices” were only due to his not doing a good job of “promoting his achievements.”
  • Lied that “Putin is ready to strike a deal” for peace with Ukraine, but that “the hold-up” was Ukrainian President Zelenskyy,
  • And falsely claimed that “his efforts [in Minnesota] had taken ‘thousands of murderers out of our country.”

Presumably, those are some of the examples of Trump’s “achievements” that would justify his canceling the election. Add to them his bombing of boats in the Caribbean; his razing part of the White House to build an elite ballroom; his persecution of political foes by his weaponized “Justice” Department; his sabotaging the Affordable Care Act, causing premiums to skyrocket; his dismantling government agencies that benefit millions of middle and low income citizens; his reversing gains made in mitigating the harm of climate change; and too many other atrocities to list.

So, yeah… Trump definitely wants to cancel the election. Because he knows that he and the GOP will be massacred. And he aint joking.

Stephen Miller Tells Trump’s ICE Thugs that They Have Immunity to Do Whatever the F**k They Want

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump continue to be put on display by him and his devoted cult disciples. And those aspirations encompass the most grotesque components of the tyranny that Trump craves.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump Baby and Stephen Miller

From Trump’s first steps into the political realm he has openly sought to emulate dictators like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, and Xi Jinping, all of whom he regards as friends and lavishes with praise. Contrast that with how he treats fellow Americans, Democrats and Republicans, who fail to sufficiently worship him. They are maligned as “scumbags” and “traitors” and “the enemy within.” For example…

SEE THIS: Trump Accuses Democratic Members of Congress With ‘Seditious Behavior, Punishable by Death’

In the days following the gruesome murder of Renee Good by a hostile and unqualified agent of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE), the Trump regime has been feverishly trying to justify that atrocity by smearing the reputation of Good, and brazenly lying about what took place. They insist that Good had deliberately run over ICE agent Jonathan Ross, despite numerous videos that show she was actually turning away from Ross, and that her car never touched him.

That flagrantly false smear campaign is still in progress. And on Wednesday it was taken to a new extreme. In a Twitter/X post. The Homeland Security Department dropped a reminder from Trump’s neo-Nazi advisor, Stephen Miller, to all of the ICE thugs patrolling American streets. It said…

“REMINDER. ‘To all ICE officers: You have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. Anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop you or tries to obstruct you is committing a felony. You have immunity to perform your duties, and no one—no city official, no state official, no illegal alien, no leftist agitator or domestic insurrectionist—can prevent you from fulfilling your legal obligations and duties. The Department of Justice has made clear that if officials cross that line into obstruction, into criminal conspiracy against the United States or against ICE officers, then they will face justice.’ @StephenM”

Every word of that, of course, is utterly false. There is no such “federal immunity” And anyone, ICE agent or otherwise, is subject to the laws of this nation, and the states in which they operate. Merely saying that they have immunity has no legal standing. If ICE agents violate the laws of any state, or any federal laws, or provisions of the Constitution, they are subject to arrest, indictment, and prosecution. They are also subject to civil lawsuits.

Just for good measure, this question was put to Grok, the Twitter/X AI bot. And it was in complete agreement with the analysis above…

To make matters worse, Trump’s immigration czar, Tom Homan, was asked about whether he was concerned that video of ICE thugs brutally assaulting people would cause “Americans who see this [to] say this looks like Putin’s Russia.” He replied that…

“That’s ridiculous. You know what? In Minneapolis… [Homan then veers off into an extended and unrelated rant about Biden releasing millions of illegal aliens, and some nonsense about sanctuary cities. And then…] It makes it dangerous for the officer. It makes it dangerous for the alien. And It certainly makes it dangerous for the community.”

Q: In Mpls, we're seeing images like a woman who was dragged out of her car by federal agents. There are Americans who see that & say this looks like Putin's Russia–HOMAN: That's ridiculous. If they'd let us in their damn jails & stop being a sanctuary city, we could arrest bad guys in safety

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-01-14T17:11:07.085Z

In other words, “Yeah, it does look like Putin’s Russia, but so what?” Homan never answered the question about what the American people should think of innocent folks, including U.S. citizens, being physically assaulted by ICE. But he did justify the brutality of the ICE thugs, even if they were behaving like barbarians of the Putin regime. They seem downright proud of it.

What all of this tells us is that Trump and his comrades are determined to trample on the rights of the American people. And any attempt to criticize or resist will be met with violent punishment by the StormTrumpers. This is Trump’s vision of a fascist Amerika. And he isn’t even bothering to disguise it anymore. Which makes it all the more imperative to resist and to prevent them from carrying out their assault on democracy and freedom. If we stay strong, we cannot lose. 8647!

THANKS DON: If Trump Gets His Way, Democrats Will Win a Big Majority in the Senate This Year

The upcoming midterm elections in November are going to present some compelling opportunities for Democrats. In 2025 they enjoyed some strong victories across the nation in races that were predicted to be close. And in many other races where they fell short, they narrowed the margin significantly.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Now most polls are showing that the Democratic Party is favored to win a majority in the House of Representatives. That advantage is the result of a combination of factors. First, Democrats have been taking the lead on the issues that matter most to the American people. And secondly, Republicans are saddled with Donald Trump, a mentally impaired megalomaniac who is only interested in himself.

SEE THIS: Does Trump’s Latest Truth Social Post Constitutionally Disqualify Him From Serving as President?

While Democrats are working hard to lower the cost of housing, healthcare, groceries, and other expenses that folks encounter on a daily basis, Trump and his MAGA comrades are are squarely focused on building ballrooms, invading other countries (Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Mexico, etc.), imposing inflationary tariffs, suppressing the Epstein files, and cutting government programs that help middle and lower income citizens, in order to enrich Trump and his wealthy benefactors.

That’s a political recipe for GOP disaster. But despite how bad that is as a strategy, Trump is going all in on it. On Tuesday morning Trump was asked about his vindictive and meritless persecution of Federal Reserve Board Chairman Jerome Powell. His response reveals just how devoted he is to – – – electing more Democrats?

Question: Sen. Thom Tillis says that the grand jury subpoena to the Federal Reserve chairman [Jerome Powell] was a little excessive. What do you think?
Trump: Well, that is why Thom is not going to be a Senator any longer, I guess. Right?. But I like Thom Tillis. He’s a nice guy. But he’s not gonna be a senator any longer because of views like that.

Trump’s reaction to news that a Republicans senator considers the probe by Trump’s “Justice” Department to be only “a little excessive,” is to celebrate the end of that senator’s political career. Which Democrats will surely appreciate. Tillis represents the purple state of North Carolina that currently has a popular Democratic governor, Josh Stein. Tillis isn’t running for reelection this year, but former Democratic governor Roy Cooper is running for that seat, and holds a substantial lead over his likely GOP opponent.

Trump went on to demonstrate his ignorance of economics by stating that…

“We have a bad Fed chairman. He’s bad in a lot of different ways. But he’s bad because his interest rates are too high. And today we had a great inflation report. And today we had a really great growth report. So we have great growth and low inflation. And we’re doing very well.”

First of all, the Fed chair is just one vote on the Board, so he alone does not determine the interest rates. And true to form, Trump is lying about how great recent economic reports are. However, more to the point, Trump’s analysis that a strong economy warrants lowering of interests is the exact opposite of proper fiscal policy. Interest rates are generally only lowered to juice an economy that is troubled. Doing so with a strong economy is more likely to trigger inflation.

As for Trump’s political analysis, his embrace of losing this incumbent Republican senator is just the start of his strategic foolishness. He also came out against five other GOP senators who had the audacity to vote against his aspirations for unilateral tyranny over American war powers. He commented on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, that…

“Republicans should be ashamed of the Senators that just voted with Democrats in attempting to take away our Powers to fight and defend the United States of America. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rand Paul, Josh Hawley, and Todd Young should never be elected to office again.”

Trump’s opinion that these Republicans “should never be elected to office again” will be welcomed by Democrats, who only need to net four seats in order to become the majority. Flipping these five seats, along with Tillis, would do that with a two seat cushion. So once again, the more that Trump talks, the better things get for Democrats.

More Republicans are starting to defy Trump. Several recently did so to pass bills to extend the Obamacare subsidies, and to reign in his military aggressions. We are reaching a tipping point where the GOP are becoming more afraid of voters than they are of Trump. And the result of that will be that he lashes out more at members of his own party out of pure spite. And Democrats will be the beneficiaries.

Does Trump’s Latest Truth Social Post Constitutionally Disqualify Him From Serving as President?

The evidence that Donald Trump has committed an ever growing number of high crimes and misdemeanors that would justify his being impeached for the third time is abundant and readily available for all to see. He isn’t even bothering to disguise it anymore, or to excuse it as inappropriate for an aspiring authoritarian like himself.

Donald Trump Walking the Plank

Trump’s recent impeachable escapades include his invasion of Venezuela, his investigation of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, his illegal and inflationary tariffs, his targeting Democratic led states for funding cuts, his failing to release the Epstein files, his conducting business with foreign, adversarial governments, hid selling pardons, his suppressing free speech and the freedom of the press, and too many more to enumerate. It’s a record that illustrates just how dangerous he is to American national security.

SEE THIS: Trump On Why He Can’t Be Trusted With Government Data: ‘When People Give Me Things I Post Them’

On Sunday night Trump posted a comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that may be his most blatant breach of presidential ethics yet, and poses a real question about whether he can continue to serve in the office of the presidency. What he posted was a graphic in which he declared himself to be the “Acting President of Venezuela.”

Trump posts that he’s “Acting President of Venezuela”

That declaration poses a troubling constitutional problem for Trump. Not that he cares. But Article I, Section 9, Clause 8, of the Constitution (within the Emoluments Clause) states that…

“No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State”.

By declaring himself the acting president of Venezuela, Trump is accepting a “Title” from a foreign state. That’s a crystal clear example of the sort of conflict of interest that the Founding Fathers sought to prohibit when they drafted the Constitution. Trump’s coronation of himself as Venezuela’s president implies accepting a foreign office “without the Consent of the Congress.” And accepting such a foreign role under those circumstances could make him constitutionally ineligible to continue in U.S. office.

The questions of where Trump’s loyalties lie are inescapable. He is already claiming to be taking over Venezuela’s oil industry and he posted that “This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me.” Which isn’t exactly a pledge of allegiance to America.

Technically the Emoluments Clause does not trigger an automatic removal from office. but it does present legitimate grounds for impeachment. Trump cannot reasonably perform the duties of the president of Venezuela while occupying the White House here at home. Hell, he can’t perform the duties of president of the United States even without the added burden of Venezuela.

Trump either needs to resign one of those offices, get an approval from Congress, or be removed involuntarily. The latter could be accomplished by either impeachment or the invocation of the 25th Amendment. But that would require a combination of courage and patriotism on the part of Congress. And that isn’t going to happen without pressure from the people. So once again, we are the ones we’ve been waiting for. 8647! NOW!

Herr Trump Is Trying to Quash the Netflix Deal to Buy Warner Bros as a Favor to His Oligarch Pals

The boots of Donald Trump – swollen cankles, bone spurred feet and all – are once again stomping down on matters where they don’t belong. They have already trampled on everything from the Kennedy Center, to the Caribbean shores of Venezuela, to American cities with Democratic leaders that he regards as “the enemy within.”

Donald Trump and Media - ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, FOX

The latest victim of Trump’s tromping is the pending merger of media giants Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and Netflix. The WBD board has already accepted the bid from Netflix that it deemed superior to the one by the Paramount-Skydance conglomerate. But unsatisfied with not having having his tiny thumb pressed firmly into the pie, Trump is openly lobbying against Netflix. That wouldn’t be because his friends David and Larry Ellison are the owners of Paramount and have promised to make make changes that Trump wants, would it?

SEE THIS: Paramount Caves to Trump’s Extortion, Disgraces CBS, Pays a $16M Bribe to Settle a Bogus Lawsuit

Setting aside the fact that it is both legally and ethically improper for Trump to interfere with the business affairs of these companies in a free market economy, Trump’s favoritism is transparently biased and aimed at benefitting himself and his wealthy comrades. On Sunday he posted a comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that said simply “Stop the Netflix Cultural Takeover.” The post linked to an article disparaging the pending merger on the ultra right-wing website, One America News Network (OAN), by disgraced attorney John M. Pierce. The article said that…

“Netflix’s bid to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is not simply another Hollywood deal. It is an attempt to consolidate unprecedented cultural power inside one of America’s most ideologically aggressive corporations — a company that has repeatedly used its global platform to elevate progressive narratives while suppressing dissenting viewpoints.”

That is, to use a technical term, bullshit! There is no evidence that Netflix has any political ideology, much less one that is “aggressive” and is “suppressing dissenting viewpoints.” That’s an opinion that even Trump disagrees with. Trump recently met with Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos in the Oval Office and came away saying that Sarandos is “fantastic” and that “I have a lot of respect for him. He is a great person.”

The article’s main argument against the Netflix/WBD merger is that it would would weaken competition. That’s true, But it’s just as true – if not worse – if WBD were to merge with Paramount. The article’s position that WBD accepted the Netflix bid due to some ideological bias is ridiculous. First of all because the Netflix bid is markedly better. Secondly because the real bias would be if the Trump regime forced Netflix to accept the bid from Paramount, whose owners are devoted Trump fluffers. Then the article claimed that…

“Handing this machine control over Warner’s franchises and future output would allow one company to rewrite characters, retell history, redefine social norms, and control which ideas reach audiences. […] It is time to say no to a woke media monopoly before the damage becomes impossible to reverse.”

For the record, Paramount would be the “machine” that could “control which ideas reach audiences.” It already owns Paramount Pictures, Paramount Television, CBS Entertainment, CBS News, Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, TV Land, BET, Country Music Television, and 46 owned-and-operated TV stations across the country. Netflix is primarily a program producer and distributor. It doesn’t own any TV stations or, more importantly and unlike Paramount, any news networks.

Paramount has already demonstrated that it will bend the knee to Trump in its CBS News reporting. They recently censored CBS’ 60 Minutes, nixing a segment on the El Salvador gulag that Trump has been sending migrants to. They hired a right-wing blogger, Bari Weiss, to run their nightly news program with a decidedly more conservative bent. And they also canceled Stephen Colbert’s top rated late night comedy program. Just think what they would do if they acquired CNN, which is currently owned by Warner Bros and would be part of the merger with Paramount, but not with Netflix.

This would be a good time to examine the character of the OAN article’s author, John M. Pierce. He is an disreputable attorney with a long history of supporting Trump. He has been accused of making “threats against Department of Justice personnel.” And in September of 2021 NPR reported that…

“Pierce, a controversial lawyer with pro-Trump politics, has taken on more defendants related to the [January 6th] Capitol breach than any other attorney.”

[And that] “Court records from his divorce show that he has dealt with substance abuse and mental health problems for several years. His ex-wife has previously obtained two domestic violence restraining orders against him.”

That’s the caliber of author recruited by OAN to write this article attacking Netflix. And it’s why the article is so blatantly biased and counterfactual. There are some good reasons to oppose a WBD merger with either Netflix or Paramount. Corporate consolidation often harms both consumers and employees. But in this case the author leans heavily to one side, which invalidates his arguments entirely.

In the final analysis, Paramount would be far worse than Netflix as a partner for Warner Bros. It would cater to the whims of Trump, and deliver more conservative programming in both the entertainment and news divisions. And Trump’s cheerleading for Paramount is further proof of his bias and ignorance of proper conduct as president.
