IT’S A PSYOP! Mike Johnson Whines On Election Eve that ‘The Polling is Wrong’ – Even MAGA Polls?

On Election Eve it is becoming clear that Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican Party are stuck in loop of pitiful desperation and delusional optimism. They are insisting that they will prevail in the midterm election with surprising victories, while simultaneously lamenting that all is lost and that the radical communists are about to takeover the federal government.

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

Leading this parade of perspective-challenged Pollyannas is Dear Leader Trump himself. Refusing to acknowledge just how unpopular he is, Trump assigned himself to be the campaign’s featured spokesperson as he embarked on a month-long nationwide tour of exclusively red states. Sadly, even with that itinerary he wasn’t eagerly welcomed by the GOP candidates struggling to avoid defeat.

Among the MAGA-tists fooling themselves about their impending electoral fate is the GOP Squeaker of the House, MAGA Mike Johnson. Shielding himself from the likely outcome that banishes him from the Speakers chair, Johnson visited with CNN’s Senior Trump-Fluffer, Scott Jennings, to unleash a shocking declaration of political intrigue involving a conspiracy hatched by America’s pollsters…

“The polling is wrong, okay? Everybody understands the polls have been off. They overestimate Democrats and underrepresent Republicans. They blame Republicans. of course, because they say conservatives don’t answer polls anymore. They learn not to trust. They know who that person is on the other side of the phone.

“IT’S A PSYOP! They’re trying to create this idea of a blue wave. And they’re using the poll numbers to do it.”

Mike Johnson describes Republicans' bad polling as a "psyop"

HOLY SHIH TZU! Dozens of unaffiliated pollsters have all gotten together to fabricate their survey results in order to depress Republican voters so badly that they will abandon any desire to actually cast their votes. Never mind that bad polls can often motivate voters to turnout in greater numbers to avoid losing. They can also suppress the votes of the other side who might feel so confident of victory that their vote isn’t necessary and they stay home.

In other words, poll results can pull both ways. And in the end their impact on altering an election outcome is negligible. But undeterred by reason – or reality – Johnson dispenses his oblivious opinions as if they were fact. What’s more, he doesn’t account for how this alleged conspiracy formed between pollsters that have no business or political relationship. In fact, the notoriously conservative pollsters are producing surveys that are generally aligned with those from more traditional sources.

Obviously, Johnson wants to incentivize Republican voters to go to the polls. But if he has to do that by persuading them that the prospects of victory aren’t as dire as they seem, he’s already lost. It’s like telling the people in a canoe approaching the edge of the Niagara Falls that “Hey, it’s not as far down as it looks, and it’s just water. Keep paddling.”

Yeah, that’ll convince ’em. What a great closing pitch for a campaign that has spent months focusing on scary communists, transgender kids, American jihadists, and how fantastic the economy has been for Donald Trump and his family and friends.
