FLYING KETCHUP ALERT: Trump is Polling Worse than Both Biden and Carter on Inflation

The ego that devoured America – Donald Trump – is at risk of suffering a major mental malfunction if somebody on his team makes the mistake of showing him the latest polling numbers reported by CNN. Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his emotional instability when confronted by how much he is despised by the majority of the American people.

Donald Trump Walking the Plank

CNN’s Senior Data Analyst, Harry Enten, delivered the bad news for Trump on Wednesday morning. It comes on the heels of his embarrassing reaction to the disturbance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday, wherein he sought to shamelessly exploit the event to bolster his lame arguments for building a gaudy golden palace ballroom on White House grounds.

The Ipsos poll focused on the public’s feelings about the economy and inflation under Trump’s “leadership.” And it isn’t a pretty picture. As Enten noted…

Inflation “is the number one issue folks say is facing their families right now. And Donald John Trump is in the worst position he has ever been in on inflation. And more than that, these are the worst numbers I’ve ever seen for any president. […] Trump is 49 points underwater.”

Enten goes on to reveal that the poll shows Trump trailing both Joe Biden and Jimmy Carter, whose terms were notorious for having been badly hampered by inflation and other economic troubles. But Trump, who insists on being number one on everything, has managed to score the top spot on the list of worst presidents – again. Even a plurality of Republicans (45-39%) say that the country is “on the wrong track” since Trump reoccupied the White House.

Of course, Trump doesn’t care about inflation. He doesn’t care about the hardships of the American people. He surely doesn’t care what they think, or he wouldn’t lie so brazenly every time he opens his mouth.

What Trump cares about is spending half a billion dollars on his vanity ballroom, prosecuting his political enemies on phony charges, waging and losing reckless and unnecessary wars, rigging elections to preserve his power, filing lawsuits against the media, and engaging in blatant corruption to enrich himself and his billionaire friends. You know, all the things that the American people are most interested in. Right? RIGHT?

One more thing that Trump cares about is having his massive but fragile ego stroked. Which is why he holds Cabinet meetings where his flunkies take turns kissing his…let’s say ring, It’s why he is so obsessed with plastering his name and face on everything from currency, to federal buildings, to passports, to battleships, to government programs, and more. And it’s why he gets so outraged when he is certified to be a pitiful loser who is utterly demolished by the patriots that he abhors. That applies even more so when he loses to President Biden.

There are good reasons why Trump is polling so badly. Virtually everything he does or says is contrary to what the American people want. They see right through his self-promotion and dishonesty. But rather than address those obvious shortcomings, Trump piles on more of the same, thinking that the quantity of assholyness will result in acceptance of it. And he is so demented that he can’t see how horribly that strategy is failing.

Unfortunately for Trump, it’s only going to get worse as he sinks deeper into the abyss. And none of his “loyal” cult devotees will have the courage to tell him, or to suggest that he change course. But they will will abandon ship after it’s already clear that the wreckage is destined for the ocean floor.

Crybaby Trump Whines About Flags Being at Half Mast for Jimmy Carter During His Inauguration

As the new year begins, Donald Trump is demonstrating the character – or lack thereof – for which he is notorious. And nothing represents the Trump brand more than his incessant and petulant whining. It’s something that he is proud of, having bragged himself – on video – that he is “the most fabulous whiner.”

In addition to his prowess as a whiner, Trump is also proving his mettle as a pitifully sore winner. Despite having been reelected – albeit by a historically narrow margin – he can’t seem to stop complaining about how miserable he is and how put upon as a victim of his innumerable perceived enemies. Consequently, he resorts to venting his spleen by attacking the country he is pretending to serve.

On Friday morning, Trump took to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, to let loose his wrath on what he seems to believe was a personal vendetta carried out by the late Pres. Jimmy Carter, as a conspiracy to die shortly before Trump’s inauguration. Trump raged that…

“The Democrats are all ‘giddy’ about our magnificent American Flag potentially being at ‘half mast’ during my Inauguration. They think it’s so great, and are so happy about it because, in actuality, they don’t love our Country, they only think about themselves. Look at what they’ve done to our once GREAT America over the past four years – It’s a total mess! In any event, because of the death of President Jimmy Carter, the Flag may, for the first time ever during an Inauguration of a future President, be at half mast. Nobody wants to see this, and no American can be happy about it. Let’s see how it plays out. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Let’s begin to dissect this dim-bulb diatribe from the beginning. Trump’s assertion that “Democrats are giddy” has no basis in reality, and he doesn’t bother to cite any examples. The only message that Democrats have in lowering the flags to half mast is one of respect and tribute to an honorable former President.

It is Trump who is only thinking about himself, as usual. He can’t comprehend the notion of paying tribute to someone other than himself. And if anyone else should try to do so, he believes it is a deliberate affront to him. So he lashes out and disparages the whole country as being “a total mess.” All because he is butthurt by the prospect of his exaltation …er… inauguration being screwed up by the inconsideration of Carter choosing to die at a time that is so inconvenient to Trump.

A decent political leader would be proud to be inaugurated with flags at half mast in honor of an esteemed predecessor. They would find a way to pay a personal tribute in their inaugural address. But not Trump. He sees it as a stain on his day of glory that “no American can be happy about.” And he closes by making a veiled threat saying “Let’s see how it plays out.” Is Trump plotting to raise the flags, or otherwise disrupt Carter’s remembrance?

For good measure, that was not the only thing that Trump was whining about on Friday morning. He also complained about President Biden awarding Liz Cheney and Bennie Thompson the Presidential Citizens Medal for their work co-chairing the January 6th Committee that investigated the insurrection that Trump incited. And Trump’s whimpering was predictably littered with flagrant lies. Here is what he wrote with annotated fact checks…

Trump: “Biden gave Liz Cheney a Medal yesterday, even though she has proven to be totally corrupt. She, ‘Bennie’ Thompson, and the rest of the Unselect Committee, destroyed and deleted all evidence from their crooked investigation of January 6th.”
Fact: No evidence was destroyed or deleted, and it is still available online.

Trump: “Liz Cheney, Cryin’ Adam Kinzinger, Bennie Thompson, and the rest of these dishonest Thugs have gotten away with horrible things under the pretense of January 6th. Nancy Pelosi refused to accept the help which was offered for security.”
Fact: Trump’s own national security staffers denied that any offer of help was made. What’s more, the security of the District of Columbia is the President’s responsibility, which was Trump at the time.

Trump: “They have destroyed the lives of many people, and are rewarded by getting Biden Fake Medals. This is not America.”
Fact: There is nothing fake about the medals. And the people whose lives Trump says were destroyed were the violent rioters who assaulted the Capitol, threatened the lives of Congress members and his own VP, and sent 140 police officers to the hospital. He is still insisting that “Everybody on that committee…should go to jail.” While he also promises to pardon his criminal StormTrumpers.

Trump’s belligerence is escalating as his reoccupation of the White House nears. And his MAGA/Project 2025 agenda is every bit as bad as feared. So can we finally put to rest the nonsense that Trump has – or can – mature and behave like a statesman, or even an adult? He is an imminent danger to democracy and is as anti-American as it gets. And the keyword for Democrats, and all patriots, for the next four years is RESIST!

Jimmy Carter Gets Fox News

Appearing on the NBC Nightly News, former Pres. Jimmy Carter demonstrated that he still has keen insight into the state of modern media:

Brian Williams: How do you think it came to be that such high numbers of people believe that this American-born Christian President is either foreign born or a Muslim or both?

Pres. Carter: I think the number one factor is Fox News. It’s totally distorting everything possible concerning the facts. And I think their constant hammering away at these false premises about our incumbent President has a major impact on the consciousness of America. A lot of well-meaning people, including many of those in the Tea Party movement, believe what is said in this constant hammering away by Glenn Beck and by others who have no regards for the truth.
