Trump Whines that the Media Didn’t Praise Him Enough After His Lie-Riddled Debate with Biden

The first presidential debate of 2024 is now history – in more ways ways than one. It is the first ever presidential debate where one of the candidates – Donald Trump – was a convicted felon, with 54 more felony charges pending, and was ordered to pay $454 million for financial fraud, and who incited a violent coup, and was adjudicated as a rapist.

Those uniquely distinguishing characteristics of Trump, however, were not the only things that guaranteed the CNN debate with President Biden a place in the history books. It was also a debate wherein Trump likely set a new world record for telling the most lies in a 90 minute slice of political television. And the record he beat was probably his own.

In the days following the debate, the media has decided to place their focus on what many of their pundits are describing as the substandard performance of Biden. Ordinarily, when the press is criticizing your opponent, most politicians would be satisfied to let that criticism go on without interruption. But Trump is most certainly not “most politicians.”

Consequently, Trump is complaining about the bad press that Biden is suffering. Not because he thinks it is unwarranted. But because it is deflecting media attention from himself. And there is no greater offense one can commit against Trump than to fail to be thoroughly engrossed with his every word and deed at all times. He is the most sickly, egotistical, manifestation of Glenn Close’s character in the movie “Fatal Attraction,” who declared that “I will not be ignored.”

On Saturday morning Trump took to his floundering Social media scam, Truth Social, to lash out the press for failing to obsess over him. He wrote that…

“As I walked off the stage on Thursday night, at the end of the highly anticipated ‘Debate,’ anchors, political reporters and all screamed that I had had the greatest debate performance in the long and storied history of Presidential Debates. They all said, effectively, ‘Trump was fantastic!’ This theme was universal, even at CNN & MSDNC, but by Friday evening it was all about the poor performance of Crooked Joe, and not so much about how well I did. Oh well, that’s the way it is but, importantly, the result is the same!!!”

There is so much wrong with that puerile outburst that it requires a deeper dive into its derangement. Beginning with Trump’s utterly delusional assertion that all of the anchors and political reporters “screamed that I had had the greatest debate performance” in history. He was probably right about the screaming, but not for the reasons he suggests. And they surely didn’t regard his litany of flagrant lies as “fantastic.”

What’s more, how would Trump know what CNN and MSNBC – two networks that he insists he would never watch – were saying about Biden’s debate performance? If he had watched them he would have seen them talking about both Biden’s shortcomings and his own brazen and shameless dishonesty.

However, Trump makes it clear that his biggest problem with the press coverage of the debate was that it was “not so much about how well I did.” One explanation for that might be that he didn’t do what any rational person would describe as “well.”

More to the point, Trump is exhibiting his flaming narcissism by squealing about the press failing to devote all of their attention to him, even at the expense of their determination to bash Biden. Meanwhile Biden, while not delivering his best performance, was at least honest and, unlike Trump, stuck to the facts in his responses that actually related to the questions he was asked.

It is illustrative of the bizarre nature of our times that a candidate who appeared somewhat slow and detached during one debate is being urged to drop out of the race, but not the candidate who has been convicted of 34 felonies, surrounds himself with fellow felons, lies pathologically, exudes hostility and racism, and was affirmed by a judge to be a rapist. When these pundits start to call for Trump to drop out, we can start to take them seriously.

FTR: Felonious Trump Gave 3 Times as Many False Statements as President Biden in the CNN Debate

Lets get this out of the way… President Biden had a bad night, and it was a serious missed opportunity. That said, Donald Trump is still a convicted felon, a rapist, a bigot, a flaming idiot, and an aspiring authoritarian who is an imminent threat to democracy. And, as emphatically demonstrated in last night’s debate, Trump is a also pathological liar.

Trump Lies

So after the CNN debate, the choice for president remains one between an honorable, intelligent, elderly man with a poor memory who stutters, or a psychotically hostile wannabe dictator with the morals of an alley cat. That shouldn’t be a difficult choice for most Americans. And the coming days will affirm Trump’s unfitness for office as he is sentenced for the 34 felonies he was recently found guilty of, followed by the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a city he regards as “horrible.”

There are factions within the Democratic Party that are panicking and now believe that Biden should step aside. Meanwhile, Republicans are ecstatic about Trump flooding the zone with flagrant falsehoods. Something is very wrong with American politics if Democrats will panic when Biden stutters a bit, but Republicans will celebrate when Trump lies constantly.

CNN made the astonishingly irresponsible decision to refrain from fact-checking during the debate. That played into Trump’s hands, allowing him to lie incessantly for 90 minutes without consequence. After the debate, CNN got around to fact checking, and the results, while predictable, couldn’t be worse for Trump. They found that Trump lied at least 28 times – about once every three minutes. Which means that virtually every response he gave contained a lie. Biden, on the other hand, was found to have made only nine disputable comments.

The difference between the character of the falsehoods was also notable. Trump’s were serious misstatements of irrefutable and consequential facts. However, Biden’s contained some items that clearly didn’t belong on a list of false statements. For instance…

  • CNN disputed Biden’s claim that Trump wants to get rid of Social Security. But Trump has said that he would make cuts to the program that he falsely claims is an entitlement.
  • CNN disputed Biden’s claim regarding Trump’s proposal to inject bleach as a cure of COVID. But Trump did make such a suggestion, just using the word “disinfectant,” rather than “bleach.”
  • CNN disputed Biden’s claim that billionaires pay 8.2% in taxes. Which is true if you factor in their unrealized investment income. And often they pay less, or even zero.

The list of Trump’s lies, however, was far longer and more substantive, including…

  • Trump’s lie that “everybody” wanted Roe v. Wade overturned, including Democrats.
  • Trump’s lie that Democrats support killing babies “after birth.”
  • Trump’s denial that he had called fallen soldiers “suckers” and “losers.”
  • Trump’s claim that his 10% tariff on all imported goods would not raise prices on Americans.
  • Trump’s lie that Biden and his Justice Department were behind his four indictments.
  • Trump’s relentless repetition of his “Big Lie” that the 2020 election was “rigged” and “stolen.”
  • Trump’s attempts to blame former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for the January 6th insurrection.
  • Trump’s taking credit for the Veterans Choice health care law that was signed by Obama.
  • And 20 more lies…

The disappointment over the performance of Biden during the first debate will dissipate in a matter of days. And Biden will have more opportunities to demonstrate his wisdom and compassion. But the lies that are continuously being disgorged by Trump will persist in the minds of voters who actually care about the welfare of the nation. And on November 5th they will reject him, just as they did four years ago.

Trump’s Refuttle to Biden Calling Him a Threat to Democracy: ‘I Know You Are, But What Am I?’

The first presidential debate of 2024 is just hours away. And the candidates are preparing for it in their own unique ways: Biden by studying the issues and polishing his message. And Trump by studying his cult rally rants and giving interviews to Fox News and other MAGA media.

True to form, Trump doesn’t believe that he needs any preparation because, in his warped and ego bloated mind, he is the greatest orator that ever lived and can beat “Sleepy Joe” with his eyes closed. Which is how he thought he would beat the 34 felony charges he was convicted of in New York where he was caught repeatedly falling asleep. That obviously didn’t work. So now Trump is embarking on a full-scale refuttle with the tired PR tactic of trying to coerce the debate moderators to swing his way…

Furthermore, after spending years viciously and falsely maligning Biden as a walking corpse who “can’t put two sentences together,” Trump is now afraid that “Jacked Up Joe” will slaughter him with the help of performance enhancing drugs to supercharge his debating skills. Never mind that such drugs don’t exist and, if they did, why wouldn’t everyone be using them? Including Trump. (Perhaps he is).

Consequently, the Trump campaign team has settled on a strategy that they are confidant will lead to victory in November. It’s a simple strategy that is often employed by elementary school bullies who have no intellectual recourse when confronted by substantive criticism. It’s the old “I Know You Are, But What Am I?” gambit. And Trump himself trotted it out on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, the morning of the big debate raging in all caps that…

“JOE BIDEN IS A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY, AND A THREAT TO THE SURVIVAL AND EXISTENCE OF OUR COUNTRY ITSELF!!!”

Sound familiar? That’s because it is what President Biden and every patriotic Democratic politician and pundit have been saying about Trump for months. It’s a visceral warning of an imminent threat that is supported by Trump’s own words and actions. In fact, it has not been just Democrats issuing this warning. It has also been delivered by dozens of the people who know him best: His own staffers and former officials in his administration…

That is just the tip of the iceberg. Just a few of the Trump associates who have sounded the alarm include his former Chief of Staff (John Kelly), Secretary of State (Rex Tillerson), Secretary of Defense (Mark Esper), Attorney General (Bill Barr), National Security Advisor (John Bolton), U.N. Ambassador (Nikki Haley), Communications Director (Alyssa Farah Griffin), and many more.

Trump’s “rubber v glue” ploy has been in effect on a variety of policy issues. Whenever he is criticized on matters related to jobs, the economy, Social Security, immigration, etc., he immediately mirrors the attack, swatting it back to Biden with no factual basis whatsoever. He does the same thing with matters of character. Despite being notorious for lying, criminality, and cognitive decline, Trump tries flutily to paste those personality defects onto Biden.

This isn’t a new strategy either. Recall in 2016 when Trump regurgitated Hillary Clinton’s charge that he was “puppet” of Vladimir Putin, and his pitiful reply was “No puppet. You’re the puppet.” What a comeback!

Trump is so devoid of any shred of intelligence that he can’t even come up with an original criticism of Biden. He merely attempts to bounce his own flaws back to the President, who clearly has none of the problems that plague Trump. It’s a rather pathetic display of ignorance and impotence. But neither Trump nor his team have any other options. So look for more of that feeble framing in the debate, and the campaign going forward.

They are apparently aware – and terrified – at the prospect of Trump engaging with the President for 90 minutes without a TelePrompTer.

Considering the performances Trump has been delivering at his recent cult rallies, the fears of his handlers and supporters are fully justified. His rambling raves have included musings about being killed by electrocution or sharks, telling his devotees that he has more than enough votes and doesn’t need theirs, claiming to have more “wounds” than any president ever (e.g. Kennedy and Lincoln), and repeatedly praising “the late, great, Hannibal Lector.” That’s not exactly a promising prelude to the big debate on Thursday.

Joining the Trumpsters who are pre-conceding that Biden is likely to prevail in the debate, is his former White House “doctor” Ronny Jackson, who is now an ultra-MAGA congressman from Texas. Jackson rushed over to Fox News for some emergency rehabilitation of Trump’s sagging public profile. And in an interview with Fox’s Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, he offered the following diagnosis of a candidate “jacked up” on drugs that sounds very much like Trump…

“Those drugs are out there. They treat the cognition part of it. They try to make it where he can think straighter and he’s not lost and confused as much. And then there’s drugs that actually treats alertness like Adderall and other amphetamine type drugs. Maybe Provigil and things like that. And then there’s a host of drugs that try to take the agitated edge off most of these cognitive disorders.

“So I feel like they’re probably giving him a little bit of all of this. They just have to get a little bit of distract. They all have different times of onset. They have different durations. They interact with each other. So it’s a challenge. But they have no choice with what they’re working with. They don’t have much to work with.”

Absent any identification of the subject to whom Jackson was referring, it could easily be assumed that he was talking about Trump. Every word of that rant describes Trump’s psychoses: his cognitive decline, his waning alertness (he kept falling asleep at his own criminal trial), and his constant state of hostile agitation. And without the deceitful editing of “cheap fake” videos, Biden exhibits none of those problems.

Jackson may not be the best surrogate for Trump on these matters. After all, he was known as “The Candyman” for the way he freely dispensed prescription drugs while working in the White House. He was also alleged to have prescribed drugs for himself. And he was demoted by the Navy from Rear Admiral to Captain for similar misconduct.

What’s more, Jackson is the “doctor” who allegedly administered the infamous cognitive test that Trump keeps bragging that he “aced.” You know, the one where he was asked to identify an elephant and count backwards. And despite being Trump’s doctor in the White House for four years, Trump couldn’t even remember his name, calling him Ronny “Johnson” twice at a recent rally.

In the same interview with Bartiromo, Jackson said that has sent five letters asking that President Biden submit to a cognitive test. According to Jackson they were all ignored by whoever he sent them to (he doesn’t say). And now he says he is sending another letter to the current White House physician “demanding” that Biden “submit to a drug test before and after the debate.” Or what? He has no authority to make any demands. And notice that his impotent demands don’t apply to Trump. Perhaps Jackson knows something about Trump that he doesn’t want to become public.

Not to be left out, Trump himself is joining the throng of Trumpists slandering Biden. And true to form, he is doing it in the most noxious and profane way possible. But could we expect any else from Trump?

Trump’s Legal Slush Fund PAC Has Barely Enough Cash to Cover One Month of His Legal Bills

The 2024 presidential race is off to a roaring start as candidates for both parties secured their nominations unusually early. As the incumbent, President Biden didn’t have any notable opposition. And the former reality TV show host, and convicted felon, Donald Trump, ignored his challengers and chickened out of every Republican primary debate.

Consequently, even before the parties hold their nominating conventions, the candidates are running at full steam. Their fundraising operations are pulling in tens of millions of dollars. And campaign offices are opening across the country, particularly in the critical swing states. Well, at least the offices for Biden. The Trump campaign, on the other hand, “has been slow to staff up in key states” while “the Biden team has been using the funds to build out a massive ground-game across the country.” And Trump hasn’t been helping himself. In fact, he’s his own worst enemy…

The funds being raised by the candidates are also being spent differently. While Biden just announced the 1,000th staffer for his swing state campaign efforts, Trump is draining his campaign Super PAC to pay off his lawyers and other expenses related to his multiple civil and criminal trials.

“The political account that former President Donald Trump has been using to pay his sizable legal bills has dwindled to less than $4 million in the bank, after accounting for its debt, according to new federal election filings.

“So far in 2024, Trump is averaging nearly $5 million per month in spending through his political action committee, which is called Save America, with an overwhelming share going to legal bills. That means that as of the end of May, Trump had barely enough cash left to cover a single month of legal bills.”

[And] “Overall, Trump has spent more than $100 million on legal and investigation-related bills since leaving the White House in early 2021.”

The glassy-eyed cult followers who are contributing to Trump’s legal slush fund must be thrilled that their hard-earned money is going toward defending his fraudulent and/or salacious activities, rather than toward electing him and other MAGA Republicans.

As a result of Trump’s extraordinarily expensive, unlawful, and immoral behavior, his stash of cash is now likely to run out before the Republican National Convention at the end of July. To be sure, he can still raise more money between now and then. He has billionaires like Timothy Mellon on call, who just made a bribe…er…donation of $50 million to a Trump PAC. But just as surely, Trump won’t be using that money to advance his electoral prospects. After all, his legal bills are still mounting up.

Trump believes that his traveling salvation shows are all that he needs to win the election. Never mind that they do nothing to expand his voter base, which was way to small to win in 2020. And he is reluctant to spend any money on anything but his personal desires. While the utterly undemocratic Electoral College still puts the election in play, Trump’s selfishness, ego, and greed are only going to benefit Biden and down-ballot Democrats. Maybe we should send him a thank you note.

One of the problems that Trump is going to face is that he has been maligning Biden for years as a senile commie who “can’t put two sentences together.” As a result, he has set a very low bar for Biden, who now only has to show up and express him himself without drooling in order to claim victory. Knowledgeable debaters know not to lower expectations for an opponent. But Trump doesn’t just lower expectations, he demolishes them…

So according to Trump, “Crooked Joe Biden is the WORST debater I have ever faced.” Which is a curious way to brag about the guy who beat you the last two times you debated him (debate one poll – – debate two poll), as well as in the general election that followed.

However, it appears that somebody on Trump’s team was able to cut through his ego and convince him that disparaging a debate opponent is a terrible strategy. So Trump has reversed course in his typically clumsy way. He now says that…

“I assume he’s going to be somebody that will be a worthy debater. I don’t want to underestimate him.”

That’s right! Trump doesn’t want to underestimate Biden, who he regularly slanders as so cognitively impaired that he doesn’t even know where he is. And if Biden happens to present himself as a vigorous, articulate leader, Trump and his MAGA media minions attribute it to pharmaceutical enhancements. Never mind that there are no drugs that can transform a dementia patient into an eloquent and effective communicator. If there were, everyone would be using them.

Trump’s flip-flop on Biden’s mental acuity is evidence that he is scared witless about the upcoming debate. He knows that he was crushed in the past. And he knows that Biden, despite a lifelong problem with stuttering, can deliver passionate oratories that most people find compelling and relatable. Consequently, Trump now needs to frantically restructure his whole approach to attacking Biden. He can no longer deride him as “Sleepy Joe.” Especially after Trump was repeatedly caught falling asleep at his own criminal trial.

In addition to this backhanded acknowledgement of Biden’s debating skills, Trump is testing out other feeble themes to put a more positive spin on losing the debate next week. In one post to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, Trump demonstrated his infamous false bravado saying that that “I look forward to seeing him at the Fake Debate on Thursday.” So now it’s a “fake” debate? That’s likely the first step to it officially becoming a “rigged” debate. Followed shortly by it being tagged a “stolen” debate.

Rest assured that Trump and his propaganda purveyors at Fox News and elsewhere will declare the he won the debate, no matter what happens. But in the preceding days they will try to make excuses for a pitiful defeat. They will accuse Biden of being on drugs. Sean Hannity has already been throwing around the name “Jacked Up Joe,” which actually sounds kind of awesome. And that’s not the worst of it…

“It will probably be a Nancy Kerrigan situation too, where right as Trump is walking out…I’m sure it will be something…sabotage.”

All of these allegations are, of course, the sort of projection that Trump and the MAGA cult routinely engage in. They accuse Biden of what they are doing, or what they wish they could do. And they all illustrate Trump’s fear of actually getting on a stage with the formidable “Dark Brandon.” Which, in the end, may result in Trump chickening out altogether. Which is also something that is being spoken about out loud in Trump Land.

WANNABE DICTATOR Trump Demands that All Business Execs Be FIRED If They’re Not 100% Behind Trump

The stubbornness of reality has never been a deterrent to Trump’s determination to mislead his glassy-eyed followers. He is a relentless disseminator of flagrant falsehoods aimed at exalting himself and maligning his foes. And he has no qualms about exploiting his lies in order to incite violent retribution for perceived wrongs.

On Tuesday morning Trump provided another example of his tyrannical tendencies. In a comment posted to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, Trump issued a decree to the world that he imagines is attentive to his crackpot ravings. He demanded that…

“Business Executives and Shareholder Representatives should be 100% behind Donald Trump! Anybody that’s not should be FIRED for incompetence!”

The blustery idiocy of that demand is exceeded only by its repudiation of economics in a free society. Where Trump gets the idea that servitude to him is a precondition for business management can only be explained by a severely acute case of malignant narcissism and delusions of grandeur. In a free country no one is required to pledge blind loyalty to any political hack that pops up.

Trump’s post was likely a response to a blisteringly critical report that the CEOs with whom he recently met were less than impressed with him. They reportedly came away saying that Trump “doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” was “remarkably meandering,” “could not keep a straight thought,” and “was all over the map.” Which are all traits that many people have seen in him for a long time.

So naturally, Trump’s massive yet fragile ego was hurt. But the depravity of his decree goes farther than that. He quoted from a Wall Street Journal article something that he apparently thought supported his preposterous premise…

“THE WALL STREET JOURNAL: “President Biden’s plan for a 28% rate would reverse half of Republicans’ 2017 rate cut. [But Trump’s] 15% rate would match the lowest level since 1935, boosting profits and rewarding shareholders.”

OH MY! So Biden’s proposal of a 28% tax rate would merely restore some of the irresponsible tax rate cut that Trump and the Republican Party granted as a gift to the wealthy and corporations. While Trump’s proposed cut to 15% would further benefit those corporations and their shareholders. That is not a plan that would help America’s low and middle class families. And the WSJ even noted that it would return to a tax rate that was in place in the midst of the Great Depression.

What’s more, Trump is not someone that any sane person would rely on for business advice. He has bankrupted at least six of his companies. He has been found liable for financial fraud for which the state of New York ordered him to pay a judgment of $454 million. His Trump Media and Technology Group has lost 40% of it value since he was convicted of 34 felonies for falsifying financial records to cover up his affair with a porn star. And his real estate business, his charitable foundation, and his university, were heavily fined and/or shuttered due to fraudulent mismanagement.

Furthermore, Trump’s agenda for the economy is fraught with the ignorance of someone with zero knowledge of economics. He recently proposed to eliminate income taxes and replace them with tariffs on all imported goods. Reputable financial experts have warned that this would be another boondoggle that enriches his wealthy pals and places a larger share of the tax burden on average Americans. According to the nonpartisan the Peterson Institute for International Economics, “Trump’s tariff proposals would cost the typical middle-income household at least $1,700.”

It’s clear that Trump’s demand to terminate any business executive that is not unflinchingly adoring has nothing to do with economic realities. It is just another example of his messianic compulsion to be revered as a god. This is not someone that should ever hold any power in a democratic society. And it makes the necessity for his unambiguous smackdown in November all the more imperative. For the sake of the nation, for democracy, and for freedom loving Americans.

Fox News Admits that the GOP is Demanding Tapes of Biden So They Can Mock Him for Stuttering

Among the tediously repeated lines that Trump delivers in his traveling cult rallies is a new one wherein he declares that the 2024 presidential election is “the most important election in the history of the United States.” And for once, he isn’t wrong. But he also isn’t right for the reasons that he thinks.

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

On November 5, 2024, the American people will choose between President Joe Biden, a dedicated, patriotic, statesman, and family man, or Donald Trump, a twice impeached, serial adulterer, who has been adjudicated as a rapist and fraudster, and been convicted of 34 felonies. Inexplicably, there is still a small but noisy contingent of Trump cultists who remain irredeemably devoted to their Dear Leader despite all the evidence of his moral decrepitude. The good news is that most voters won’t have a particularly difficult time making their decision.

In the meantime, the Trump-fluffers at Fox News are hard at work spreading lies, right-wing propaganda, and malicious insults that would embarrass an eight year old. Which is what they’ve always done, so that isn’t exactly news. A recent example of this comes from Kayleigh McEnany, a former Trump press secretary who is now doing essentially the same job, but with a bigger paycheck from Fox.

In a segment of Fox’s Sean Hannity show, McEnany addressed a wholly contrived controversy over Attorney General Merrick Garland, who has declined to turn over some audio tapes of Biden to the rabidly biased Republicans in the House of Representatives. Garland advised the GOP that such requests violate precedent when there is an objection on the basis of executive privilege. But in a fit of petulant rage, the GOP voted to hold Garland in contempt of Congress anyway.

To the surprise no one with a functioning cerebellum, Garland decided not to prosecute himself. Not out of personal interest, but because there is no crime to prosecute. This exacerbated the already unhinged anger of the GOP and Fox News. McEnany lashed out saying that…

“This is of great public interest. As congressmen have pointed out, the transcripts were edited to keep out the ‘ums,’ the ‘ahs,’ ‘the stutters. The American people deserve to hear this President in long form.”

So McEnany is admitting that the only purpose of releasing the audio tapes would be to embarrass the President who has had a lifelong problem with stuttering. It’s a sickening request that seeks only to mock an otherwise irrelevant speech impediment. What she is asking is akin to demanding the videotapes of the President’s colonoscopy because the American people “deserve” to see the President’s long intestine.

The tapes do not provide any substantive information that would be useful for any legislative purpose. Congress has the full transcripts of the tapes, and such transcripts always remove extraneous pauses and fillers. But McEnany and her confederates at Fox News don’t have any coherent criticisms to make of Biden, so they are desperate for petty things like this that they can exploit to attack him.

McEnany is not alone on this. The Republican Speaker of the House, MAGA Mike Johnson, is also weighing in on the matter. He has announced that Congress is going to sue the Justice Department in an attempt to get the tapes. Johnson is, once again, proving that he believes the role of Congress is to serve as Trump’s private law firm. Rather than pass any bills that actually benefit the nation or its citizens, Johnson focuses entirely on partisan political attacks on behalf of Trump. That’s why this session of Congress has been the least productive in decades.

What’s more, the goal of disparaging Biden’s mental acuity by Fox News and the MAGA GOP, is one that fails miserably in contrast to Trump’s own cognitive problems. Trump provides frequent evidence of his Acute Psychobabble Disorder (APB). It ranges from rants about succumbing to electrocution or sharks, to ridiculously inflating the size of the crowds at his cult rallies, to claiming to have the solution to every world problem that he can only reveal if he’s elected.

However, the pièce de résistance is Trump’s alleged proof that he is mentally superior to most mortals because he supposedly “aced” a cognitive test given to him by a disgraced former doctor, now Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson, wherein he was asked to identify an elephant and count backwards. However, in Trump’s latest attempt to brag about this “accomplishment,” the “stable genius” couldn’t even remember the doctor’s name…

So it is with the backdrop of Trump’s inability to retain information that he refers to frequently, along with his Bizarro World yammering that no one can decipher, that Fox News and the GOP want to get their hands on some tapes of Biden stammering during a five hour long interview, in order to prove that he’s unfit for office. That is how pitifully desperate they are to find anything to dirty up Biden with.

While this might work on the already indoctrinated Trump disciples, it is going to fall flat for everyone else. And the best forum within which to prove that is the upcoming Biden/Trump debate. That is, if Trump doesn’t chicken out.

Never mind that Trump and his confederates went to court more than sixty times trying to prove their crackpot conspiracy theories, and they lost every case. That’s mainly because they were never able to present a shred of evidence of any fraud. He was so humiliated by the decisive defeat that he suffered, that he just can’t accept the fact that American voters soundly rejected him. And neither can his cult followers in Congress, the MAGA media, and what remains of the Republican Party base. That rests in stark contrast to the majority of the American people…

Undeterred by reality, Trump’s daughter-in-lawlessness, Lara Trump, persists in her family’s delusional disinformation campaign. Although her Sugardaddy-in-law installed her as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), she spends most of her time on Fox News, and other extremist propaganda outlets peddling flagrant falsehoods and gaslighting the gullible. To that end, Lara appeared with white nationalist provocateur, Charlie Kirk, to advance the lie that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen.” And in the process she delivered a sharp warning to aspiring ne’er-do-wells…

“I also want to send a loud and clear message out there to anyone who thinks about cheating in an election. If you cheat in an election, we will find you. We will track you down. We will prosecute you to the full extent of the law.”

Your hear that, you election cheaters? There is nowhere to run or hide from Lara the Law Giver. Let’s just set aside the fact that after four year she hasn’t tracked down a single case of election fraud by Biden or any other Democrat. And where she gets the idea that she has the authority to prosecute anyone is a mystery that will remain securely locked in her bleached blond head.

However, that doesn’t mean that there weren’t some cheaters that were discovered and brought to justice. And they were all Republicans. Which gives Lara’s warning new meaning. Was she threatening her own father-in-law, the MAGA ring leader, with prosecution? The list of those indicted also extends to some of Trump’s closest associates including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Jenna Ellis, Sidney Powell, Jeffrey Rosen, Kenneth Chesebro, Jeffrey Clark, and John Eastman. They had all better watch out because Lara is on the case now.

Ironically, Lara may have to prosecute herself. In the same event with Kirk, she proposed illegally buying votes. She told the audience that “take everyday up until Election Day taking somebody to vote. Drive them in your car if you have to. Buy them a sandwich if you have to after.”

You would think that the chair of the RNC would know that enticing people to vote with money or other gifts is against the law. It is, in fact, cheating. So while she isn’t personally buying the sandwiches (so far as we know), she is suborning a crime by encouraging others to do so.

All of this should make Lara’s promise to track down and prosecute election cheaters a lot easier. She doesn’t even have to leave Mar-a-Lago. She can find most of the cheaters there, including herself and and the already convicted felon, Don the Con. And if she tells what she knows to Attorney General Merrick Garland, we can get some of these prosecutions going.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is OUTRAGED at Being Called ‘Fringe’: ‘It’s Not Me, It’s Rachel Maddow!’

Last week the unofficial chair of the House MAGA Fringe Caucus, Marjorie Taylor Greene, proposed a bill to defund the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), an alliance that has protected much of the world from aggression by Russia for 75 years. Greene’s opposition is rooted in her animosity toward Ukraine, President Biden, and democracy.

Greene is notorious for her bizarre antics in and out of Congress. She is an unflinching disciple of the Cult of Trump. She attacks her Fellow Republicans with unbridled hatred. She is leading the fight to remove MAGA Mike Johnson as Speaker. She has drafted numerous motions to impeach members of the Biden administration simply because they are Democrats. Recently she sought to deny all federal funding for the state of New York because a jury in Manhattan found Trump guilty of 34 felonies.

Any rational observer of of politics would describe Greene as a fringe operative. Although, these days her views have been embraced by most of the Trump GOP. Following the failure of her NATO defunding bill, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow noted that many Republicans voted to withhold critical funds from America’s allies in Europe.

“A fifth of the Republicans in Congress just voted that we should leave our allies all together. That we should break up the big Western alliance. That we should defund NATO. And I think nobody really paid attention to this vote because this legislation was put forward by a very fringe member of Congress. A member of Congress who is known for her publicity stunts, and therefore she is easy to ignore. But it wasn’t just her. forty-six Republicans voted for this thing.

This criticism of of the Republican betrayal of our allies struck Greene for decidedly personal reasons. She didn’t care so much about Maddow calling out the GOP for “leaving our allies.” Nope. What bothered Greene was the part where Maddow referred to her as “a very fringe member of Congress.” So Greene scampered off to Steve Bannon’s podcast to complain about Maddow…

“”Well, of course, she’s not happy. Rachel’s never accomplished anything real in her entire life. She’s only lied on television for a living. And NATO, all these European countries, they don’t pay their fair share. So why should America continue to pay for the defense of all these other countries when they are unwilling to even pay their fair share?”

REALLY? Most people would consider having graduated from Stanford, becoming a Rhodes Scholar, and getting a doctorate in Political Science from Oxford, something of an accomplishment. Plus, she’s won three Emmys, a Grammy, and written best-selling books. Greene’s resume, on the other hand, consists of little more than managing a small construction company in rural Georgia, and failing to produce anything of substance as a member of Congress. But Greene wasn’t through defending herself from the allegations of fringiness…

“It’s not fringe at all. It’s also not fringe because most Americans also agree that the United States should not be funding a war in Ukraine.”

Greene is, as usual, lying. Polls show that a majority of American actually support funding for Ukraine. But Greene, like her Republican confederates, never lets facts get in the way of a good rant. She continued saying that…

“When we’re going to talk about the question, we’re going to ask the question, who is fringe? It’s actually Rachel Maddow is the fringe person in this story. It’s not me. It’s Rachel Maddow.”

Here Greene is adopting the age-old debate strategy of “I know you are, but what am I?” However, her “rubber/glue” tactic falls short due to the fact that even 157 of her fellow Republicans voted against her bill, along with every Democrat. Although she did get 46 Republicans to join her.

That’s a pretty good affirmation that Greene and her band merry cranksters are indeed the fringe. And no matter how hard she tries to deny that reality, it remains true. Nevertheless, we can expect her to continue attacking her betters, such as Maddow, because glassy-eyed narcissists like Greene are incapable of recognizing their own failures. No matter how glaring.
