TRUMP IS TOAST: The Washington Post’s Laundry List of Trump’s Increasingly Bizarre Claims

Watching the downward spiral of Donald Trump is becoming object lesson in mental deterioration as he descends ever deeper into a bottomless pit of pathos and desperation. Ever since Kamala Harris ascended to the top of the Democratic ticket, Trump has responded with exponentially more extreme exhibits of madness. And he wasn’t exactly a portrait of sanity before that.

Donald Trump

The media hasn’t been especially good at reporting the severity of Trump’s psychological maladies. While they spent months obsessing over President Biden’s alleged age-related defects, they ignored Trump’s far worse displays of derangement. Biden would get criticized for stuttering, but Trump would get a pass for hallucinating.

SEE THIS: Trump is Losing to Kamala Harris, Who He Says is Dumb, Low IQ – What Does that Say About Trump?

The good news is that some of the biases of the press may be starting to thaw. The Washington Post just published an article that enumerates some of Trump’s recent meanderings into the muck of his mania. The headline summarizes the substance: “Trump’s laundry list of increasingly bizarre claims.” And it doesn’t mince words describing Trump’s meltdown…

“This is bonkers, even by Trump’s own conspiratorial and falsehood-laden standards [and that] It’s difficult to truly compare the relative ridiculousness of Trump’s claims over time, but there is no question he’s pushed the envelope in new and astonishing ways.”

The Post enumerates ten of Trump’s most recent derpitudes, followed by documented fact checks. They begin with one that was just loosed a few days ago: “Harris’s rally crowds ‘DIDN’T EXIST’ and ‘nobody was there.’” Trump claimed that photos of Harris’ supporters were altered by AI, and that there was really no one at all at the event. Never mind all the live streamed video and press accounts – including by conservative media. Trump’s assertion was wholly manufactured from raw fiction.

MORE HERE: Trump’s Dementia Dives Deeper as He Regurgitates Conspiracy Theories About Kamala Harris’ Crowds

The list continued with even more preposterous assertions emanating from Trump’s corroding cranium. Among them, he accused the FBI of plotting to assassinate him. He said that Harris had only recently turned Black. He repeated his ludicrous charge that Democrats support infanticide. Here is the full list…

On Wednesday morning Trump spoke briefly to reporters after voting in the Florida primary. He was asked about the “fake” crowds claim and replied that “I can’t say what was there, who was there. I can only tell you about ours. And we have the biggest crowds ever in the history of politics. We have crowds that nobody has ever seen before.”

Except that Trump actually and explicitly did say who was there (“nobody”). And his claim that he has “the biggest crowds ever in the history of politics” is just plain delusional. However, his next comment was sort of a curious confession. He said that “We have crowds that nobody has ever seen before.” So now he’s saying that he’s the one who has nonexistent and/or invisible crowds that no one has seen?

Don’t try too hard to figure out anything that Trump says. It will only cause acute frustration and possible brain injury.

Fox News is APPALLED that Kamala Harris is a Disciplined Orator Who Can Actually Stay on Message

In the short time since Kamala Harris has become the Democratic nominee for president, Republicans have had plenty to be upset about. Not the least of which is how quickly she has consolidated support across a broad spectrum of Americans, raised record amounts of money, and signed up hundreds of thousands of volunteers.

Fox News, Kamala Harris

The Kamala phenomena has not been lost on the GOP and its addled and anxiety-ridden standard bearer, Donald Trump. They have expressed their concerns about the surging Harris candidacy by lashing out wildly with impotent attacks centered on preposterous allegations that she is a “far left lunatic,” who isn’t really Black, and has the audacity to engage in bizarre human behavior such as laughing…

SEE THIS: Crybaby Trump: I Hate it When People Laugh at Me, and When Kamala Harris Laughs at All

On Friday morning Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) aired a segment that addressed yet another pressing issue that is uppermost on the minds of America’s voters. The co-host of Fox’s Outnumbered, Kayleigh McEnany (formerly Trump’s White House press secretary), played a montage of Harris speaking before some of the cheering crowds she has been attracting. But what bothered McEnany was not anything related to the policies Harris advocated, which are mostly aligned with the majority of the American people.

Nope, what ruffled Fox’s feathers was that Harris repeated some of the same things in a couple of different speeches. Apparently that consistency is abhorrent to the MAGA Fox “News” clan. McEnany complained that…

“Look, I know this is a stump speech. Over and over, I can recite most of it. But the unison – you’ve gotta get off script. Every politician has a stump speech, but that’s a lot of the same.”

Actually, it was not really “a lot of the same.” It was just about six sentence fragments extracted from speeches that were closer to an hour long. But more to the point…WHO F**KING CARES?

McEnany acknowledges that Harris was delivering common, ordinary stump speeches. By definition that is an address that is retold at a variety of campaign stops. Candidates don’t write entire new speeches for every city they visit. So what McEnany is really whining about is that Harris has the good judgment and discipline to stay on message in order to execute a successful campaign plan, and to communicate effectively with her audiences.

Perhaps the reason that Fox News is so disturbed by this is that it is such a pronounced departure from the wandering ramblings of their Dear Leader Trump. Not that he doesn’t disgorge relentlessly repetitious rants at every one of his cult rallies. He does. In fact, his ponderous prattle often puts his parish to sleep.

However, Trump is also notorious for swerving off script frequently to disinform his devotees of important matters such as being electrocuted or devoured by sharks; or the heartbreak of windmill cancer; or the vastness of his crowds that are thousands more than his venue even holds; or his romance with brutal dictators; or whatever his perverse relationship with the fictional cannibal Hannibal Lecter is.

To Fox News a speech isn’t worthwhile unless the speaker proves that they are incapable of sticking to the subject or remaining moderately coherent. So naturally they revere Trump, but they are furious with Harris for showing that she has focus and intellect, as well as being relatable and even joyful.

And speaking of joy, that’s another thing that Fox News isn’t going to tolerate in a political leader. Julie Banderas, on the same episode of Outnumbered, blasted the sunny disposition of the Harris campaign saying that “There is nothing to be joyful about.” What an inspiring nod to the doom and gloom of Trump, whose MAGA movement is a promise of dystopian despair. And to their credit, it’s a promise that they have been remarkably adept at fulfilling.

GREAT NEWS! Trump Says that ‘Every One of Us are Gonna Be Leaving’ If Kamala Harris Wins

Anyone who listens to Donald Trump for any length of time has to wonder why he bothers to run for office, or even live in the United States. His speeches are a non-stop torrent of antipathy toward the nation that he repeatedly demeans as “failing,” and disparages most of its residents who he regards as “animals.”

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Wah

The only time Trump ever says anything good about America is when he’s lying about his abysmal stewardship of it, or when he’s lauding the “very fine people” who promote neo-Nazi initiatives and confederate statues. He has adopted a rather bizarre campaign theme that is overtly anti-American and relies on tearing down the country in the most vile terms. For instance, he posted the following absurd pitch for votes on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social:

“OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN. WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE! VOTE FOR TRUMP, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?”

MORE HERE: Trump’s 2024 Campaign Theme: America Sucks. Vote Trump, What the Hell Do You Have to Lose?

Now that the 2024 presidential race is in full swing, Trump is slithering farther out on the limb of sanity as he becomes utterly incapable of dealing with his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris (who for some reason he keeps calling “Kamabla”) And on Wednesday, while Harris and her new running mate, Tim Walz, were out stumping across the country, Trump did another one of his lazy Fox News phone-in “interviews” in his jammies, from his Mar-a-Lago bunker, with the sycophantic Trump-fluffers on Fox & Friends. It consisted of the typical and tedious playlist of substanceless blather that Trump has been spinning for months.

Much of Trump’s whining was related to the recent volatility in the stock market. Trump has been ranting that it’s all President Biden’s fault. Or even Harris’ fault. And he repeated his prediction that a Democratic victory would result in a market crash worse than 1929. Of course, he’s been making the same ludicrous prediction since 2015. But now he is purposefully trying to create a panic by fear mongering that the world is coming to an end. In the Fox segment (video below) Trump warned his glassy-eyed cult followers that…

“Our whole country, our whole system is gonna collapse. Even the talk about her has driven the stock market down. You know when the stock market goes down, when you see it go down, that’s because she gets a decent poll number. She gets bounces in the poll, the market goes down. The stock market will collapse like in 1929 if they’re elected.’

Needless to say, that is all pure Trumpian bullshittery. The market did go down after some polls showed Harris tightening the race. But the market went back up after some more polls showed her taking the lead. Obviously, stock market performance has little to do with election polling. But Trump is desperate enough to exploit anything in order to avoid facing the reality that he’s a loser.

SEE THIS: Trump is Trying to Provoke Panic Over a Common Stock Market Drop to Save His Failing Campaign

There is, however, some good news that Trump provided in this Fox segment. Just prior to his wacko statement above, Trump said that…

“If [Harris] does this to America, every one of us are either gonna be leaving or we’re gonna be living like dogs.”

Is that a promise? Will Trump, and every one of his cult disciples, really leave if Harris wins the election? That would be a fantastic addendum to the Democratic victory. It would be so much winning. And those of us who remain will “be living like dogs.” Which, if Trump knew anything about a dog’s life, would be pretty damn sweet. There’s even an old saying – “It’s a dog’s life” – that is used to describe times of pleasantness and leisure. Which the country, and the world, would enjoy in abundance if Trump and his ilk would just go away.

Fox News Runs a Hit Piece on Tim Walz that the Kamala Harris Team Could Run as a Campaign Ad

It’s only been a couple of weeks since President Biden passed the torch to Vice-President Kamala Harris. And in that short time, Harris moved at lightening speed to assemble her campaign team, raise record amounts of money, and establish herself as the candidate with the greatest enthusiasm and momentum. Naturally, this is driving Donald Trump crazy(er).

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News, Kamala Harris

Perhaps the most highly anticipated undertaking of her aborning campaign has been who she would select as her vice-presidential running mate. Now that question has been answered with the announcement that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would join the ticket. Harris had a remarkably strong roster of prospective candidates, so she could not have made a bad choice. Of course, whoever she chose was certain to be tagged as a radical leftist by Trump and his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News.

SEE THIS: Fox News is Officially an Arm of Chinese State Media, Regurgitating its Attacks on Kamala Harris

Shortly after the announcement by Harris, Fox News wasted no time living down to their expectation as a flagrantly biased mouthpiece for MAGA media. Fox host Kayleigh McEnany (who is Trump’s former press secretary) rushed to put out a hit piece on Walz to define in the worst possible light before much of the nation got to know him. It was McEnany’s attempt at a brutally disparaging profile that would leave Walz a broken man and destroy the Harris campaign. Or at least she thought so. It went something like this (video below)

McEnany: “Facts still matter, so let’s look back at his record.”
Not a bad start, actually. But there was more to come.

McEnany: “Walz’s first executive order as Governor was to create a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council.”
The HORROR! Walz is in favor of non-discrimination in the workplace and housing. Just like most Americans, and even Fox News. Someone needs to tell McEnany about the Fox News Corporate Responsibility Report that boasts that the company is “committed to diversity from the very top.”

McEnany: “He also supported open borders.”
As “proof” of this McEnany played a video clip of Walz pointing out that Trump’s border wall is a costly and useless vanity project because anyone could climb over it with a common ladder.

McEnany: “And he pushed socialism.”
Then McEnany played a video of Walz not “pushing” socialism at all. In fact, he was mocking right-wing hacks who attach that label to any policy that benefits people, such as school lunches and public libraries and interstate highways.

McEnany: “Oh wait, and there’s more. He signed an executive order protecting gender affirming care, or surgery, for minors in his state.”
So now McEnany is appalled that Walz supports freedom – that’s right, freedom! – for parents and families to make their own choices about healthcare, rather than government forcing its mandates on them.

McEnany: “And in 2020 he was the Governor of Minnesota during the George Floyd riots that burned part of Minneapolis to the ground. It was so bad that Walz himself callout his own response.”
McEnany is criticizing Walz for condemning the violence and having the integrity and honesty to accept responsibility for any faults in the state’s response. That refreshing display of decency in a politician is anathema to MAGA Republicans, but will likely endear Walz to most voters who appreciate the strength in honesty and humility.

This Fox News segment could be edited into a Harris campaign ad without much work. It shows Walz to be a man of honor with principles that are closely aligned with a majority of the American people. And while Fox News is trying to stuff a well-rounded Walz into a their pre-fab, square hole spin that any Democrat is a “far left radical,” Trump’s VP pick, JD Vance (who Trump is already regretting) continues to make a fool of himself…

Fox News is Still Pushing the Lie that the 2020 Election Was Stolen that Cost Them $787 Million

Two years ago Fox News agreed to a record setting settlement with Dominion Voting Systems for engaging in blatant defamation against the company. The settlement came after pre-trial discovery that uncovered abundant and unambiguous evidence of Fox News executives and hosts blatantly lying about the 2020 presidential election being stolen from Donald Trump.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Lies

Two years later, and after having to fork over $787 million bucks, Fox News is still disseminating the same lies. These were not merely differences of opinion. There were documents that proved that Fox personnel were making public comments on the air that were diametrically opposed to what they were saying to one another in private.

SEE THIS: In Dominion v Fox News, Network Cries ‘We Can’t Make People Think We’ve Turned Against Trump’

This deceit and hypocrisy is still going on today. On Sunday morning, Fox News Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, interviewed Trump’s running mate, JD Vance. In the course of her questioning, she asked him about the repeatedly debunked allegations of election fraud in 2020…

Bartiromo: President (sic) Trump continues to say that the 2020 election was stolen. He told me that again in this interview. How comfortable are you, in terms of the progress being made by the RNC and republicans, saying that, in fact, we will have a fair election this November?
Vance: Well, I think we’re making a lot of progress, Maria. […] The basic principle here is every American citizen’s vote should count. but if you’re not an American citizen, and you’re not casting a legal ballot, you’re vote shouldn’t count. Right? It’s sort of common sense that the Republican Party believes in. And interestingly, the Democrats seem to want illegal aliens to have the right to vote.

Notice that Bartiromo’s reference to Trump regurgitating his “Big Lie” was not to illicit a response to that flagrant dishonesty, but to deflect to a more vague inquiry about fair elections. In effect, she was validating Trump’s utterly fictional premise that the 2020 election was stolen. And consequently, she was implying that there would a be similar act of election theft in 2024.

Vance, of course, totally bought into Bartiromo’s narrative. Why shouldn’t he? He was asked a leading question by a biased Trump flunky, and he happily took the bait. But that’s not all. Vance furthered the dishonest narrative by extending the lie to accusations that undocumented immigrants were somehow responsible for stealing elections. And of course, he accused Democrats of advocating for that. Vance has no evidence to support those reckless and dangerous assertions, and neither does Bartiromo, who didn’t bother to point out that Vance was making stuff up.

Clearly Fox News has learned nothing from their having to pay out hundreds of millions of dollars for purposefully lying. Except maybe that they refrained from attaching their lies to a specific entity that could make a claim of defamation. They are more careful now to sanitize their deceit to avoid legal liability. But they are no less deceitful.

And yet, Fox News – and Trump and his MAGA team – will continue to pursue this path of pernicious lies, despite the fact that their efforts are obvious and tired rehashes of tactics that have failed in the past. They have nothing of substance to make their case, so they resort to desperation and fear mongering. And while it is surely not going to work, it is going make the next few months more annoying as these weirdos wallow in the slime.

Trump and Fox News Attack Kamala Harris for Praising Diplomacy that Freed Prisoners From Russia

Late Thursday night President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris welcomed three Americans back home who had been imprisoned in Russia on trumped up charges. It was an occasion that inspired pride and gratitude across the nation for the historic diplomatic achievement that made it possible for these families to be reunited in freedom.

Kamala Harris, Donald Trump baby

Sadly, there were pockets of unpatriotic dissenters who weren’t particularly happy about any of this. And no one will be surprised to learn that Donald Trump and Fox News led the contingent of malcontents that found only gloom in the news that the rest of the country celebrated. They have a distinct predilection for opposition to anything benefitting their political foes, no matter how good it is for the country.

SEE THIS: Fox News is Officially an Arm of Chinese State Media, Regurgitating its Attacks on Kamala Harris

Trump has provided an abundance of evidence of this compulsively anti-American psychosis that has infected the MAGA movement. And on Friday morning he confirmed it with a post to his floundering social media scam, Truth Social. It came in the form of Fox News meme that declared “Kamala Harris ripped for word salad about ‘diplomacy’ as she makes unscripted comments.”

The first notable dishonesty in the graphic that Trump posted was what was left out of the title. It linked to a Fox News article that offered a bit more detail about the source of the allegation that Harris was “ripped.” The full headline read “JD Vance rips Kamala Harris for more word salad — ‘significance of the power of diplomacy'” So for some reason they found it necessary to hide the fact that it was Trump’s weird VP running mate that was maligning Harris.

More to the point, the complaint that Trump and Fox News have about Harris’ remarks is profoundly petty and a deliberate misinterpretation of reality. Harris’s comments were a gracious and appropriate compliment praising the work of those who secured the freedom of the unjustly held prisoners. She said that…

“This is an extraordinary day and I’m very thankful for our president. This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy and strengthening alliances. This is an incredible day and you can see it in the families and in their eyes.”

Word Salad? Trump doesn’t know the meaning of the words. Literally. Despite the fact that his public statements are – as he might describe them – the best word salads ever at a level that no one has ever seen before.

In the hours since the release of the former prisoners, Trump has only briefly expressed any gratitude. And even that was just to preface his criticisms. However, he has disgorged a flurry of furious complaints and insults. He said that “Our ‘negotiators’ are always an embarrassment to us!” He falsely implied that the Biden administration paid for the release and was encouraging future hostage taking. And he described it as “a win for Putin.” Which is peculiar because that should be something that Trump would approve of, given his allegiance to, and infatuation with, the the Russian dictator.

Trump’s hostile reaction to any good news for America that occurs while Biden is still President, is as abhorrent as it is predictable. He has a confirmed “Blame America First” mentality. In his twisted mind, anyone other than him is an idiot who hates the country. And if you’re looking for a good example of projection, you just found it.

Hannity Thinks Trump Shouldn’t Debate Kamala Harris Because the Moderators Will Be Mean to Him

Whenever Donald Trump makes the mistake of displaying his true nature as a hate mongering ignoramous, he can rely on Fox News to come to his rescue with an adoring spin cycle to whitewash what ever rancid rhetoric he glibly unloaded at one of cult rallies or during a Nerfball interview on some other MAGA media outlet.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News Sean Hannity

On Wednesday Trump provided an exquisite example of this team gamesmanship between himself and Fox News. It came after Trump put on a blatantly racist show before the National Association of Black Journalists where he questioned whether Kamala Harris was Black, insulted the Black journalists hosting the event, accused Harris of being a “DEI hire,” and, for good measure, disses his own VP pick, JD Vance, as having “virtually no impact.”

SEE ALSO: SCAREDY TRUMP? Sean Hannity Concocts an Excuse for Trump to Chicken Out of Debate with Biden

These are all great messages leading up to the next debate between Trump and his new opponent, Vice-President Harris. That is, if Trump bothers to show up. Although he had already agreed to the September 10 date, he has more recently been backpedaling with lame excuses as to why he might skip the debate. And nothing affirms strong character like running away from an opponent that you are obviously are afraid of.

Cue Sean Hannity of Fox News. On Wednesday night Hannity rushed to try to bail Trump out by providing him with an opening to ditch the debate entirely. He began by bashing ABC News as a dishonest network with unfair journalists. Which is textbook projection on Hannity’s part because that’s how Fox News is known to the rest of the world. He continued saying that…

“Maybe it’s time for Trump to reject any appearance at ABC. For example, why would he show up at their debate if these ‘journalists’ clearly have opinion want to debate Trump themselves? Maybe he should just accept the Fox News Channel’s offer to debate?”

Of course! Because Fox News doesn’t have any “journalists” with opinions, do they? All kidding aside, Hannity’s proposal is just an attempt to grease the skids for Trump to chicken out. Convicted felon Trump is noticeably nervous about the prospect of facing former prosecutor Harris. It’s why his entire campaign is narrowly focused on infantile insults and flagrant lies, rather than any substantive, policy-driven criticism.

Harris recently challenged Trump directly saying that “If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.” Trump replied by saying that he would “probably” debate “but I can also make a case for not doing it.” Well, now Hannity has helped him to make that case. Although Hannity’s help is a pitifully weak effort that consists of baseless claims about ABC’s fairness, and a self-serving pitch for Fox News to get the hosting privileges. Perhaps Hannity will propose himself and Kayleigh McEnany as moderators.

With the debate only six weeks away, Trump is going to have to make a decision soon. Rest assured that his decision will be based on the level of his fear. Will he be too afraid to go head-to-head with Harris? Or will be too afraid to look scared by dodging her? Those are his choices. And he is surely clawing the faux-gold wallpaper at Mar-a-Lago today trying to make up what’s left of his mind.

Crybaby Trump Unleashes a Flaming Freak Out Vilifying Fox News for Not Censoring his Foes

The acute personality disorders of Donald Trump have been well documented for many years. Particularly his severe case of malignant narcissism. And mental health professionals have long predicted that his symptoms would grow progressively worse over time without treatment, which he would never agree to.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Wah

Therefore, it is not surprising that Trump’s condition has noticeably worsened with extraordinarily grave intensity. With each passing day Trump becomes more detached from reality and displays ever more extreme hostilities. His animosity toward those he regards as enemies is expressed on a daily basis on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social

SEE THIS: Trump’s Frantic Fear of Kamala Harris Overflows in a Manic Meltdown on Truth(less) (anti)Social

All day Monday Trump unloaded another barrage of venomous vitriol. This time the target of his tantrum included his very own Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. It’s not the first time that Trump has lashed out at his MAGA media network, even as he is simultaneously gracing it with his noxious presence on the programs of his loyal sycophants such as Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends. But it was one of his most vicious and sustained assaults. He began by posting the following inquiry…

“Why is FoxNews putting on Crazy Kamala Harris Rallies? Why do they allow the perverts at the failed and disgraced Lincoln Project to advertise on FoxNews? Even Mr. Kellyanne Conway, a man so badly hurt and humiliated by his wife (she must have done some really NASTY things to him, because he is CRAZY!), is advertising on FoxNews. We have to WIN WITHOUT FOX!”

From Trump’s perverse perspective, an alleged “news” network should not be covering the campaign of the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for president, Kamala Harris. [Note: He’s also changed his nickname for her again, from “Laffin'” to “Lyin'” and now “Crazy Kamala”]. Then he whines about Fox News having sold advertising time to his critics. It must be awful for the “most fabulous whiner” (his words), to have to watch these blisteringly accurate presentations of him…

in response to this affront to his massive, yet fragile, ego, Trump let loose 37 posts on Truth Social. They were mostly weird memes with QAnon themes proclaiming Trump as the messiah or Democrats as evil. Some of the bizarre messages implied that the FBI “ordered the assassination” of Trump; said that January 6th was “an inside job;” called Harris a “Cackling Moron;” called Nancy Pelosi “Batshit Crazy;” and declared that Trump is “what god has ordained.”

Also interspersed among these ravings were meme’s that expressed Trump’s malice toward Fox News, including “Scr*w you FOX!;” “Who needs RINO FoxNews?;” “I don’t watch Fox News.;” and “Who needs Fake FOX & CO?” One example that just oozed his seething fear made the outlandish accusation that Fox News hosts Neil Cavuto and Shannon Bream are “On the Soros Payroll.”

That ought to be enough to convince most people that Trump is suffering from deep-seated anxieties and dread of the foreboding future that awaits him politically and legally. But sadly, there are those who have been indoctrinated into the Trump cult who can’t be convinced of anything, regardless of the abundant evidence. They are lost and irredeemable.

Let them go. There are still many more who remain rational and willing to join the reality-based community that will reject Trump’s egomaniacal totalitarianism and embrace the hope and honesty that Kamala Harris and the Democrats are offering. The next few months will be a bit nerve-racking, but with hard work and devotion to the principles that make America great, the result be a gratifying victory. Stay strong and true.

Pete Buttigieg Gives a Master Class on Truth-Telling About Trump on Fox News Sunday

As the newly re-energized Democratic campaign for president rolls out in support of presumptive nominee Kamala Harris, surrogates for the party and the candidate are making the rounds on television news programs. And most of them are exhibiting a measure of optimism and excitement that hasn’t been seen since the Obama campaign of 2008.

Click here to Tweet this article

Pete Buttigieg on Fox News

Among the surrogates braving the hostile environs of network and cable news are several who are also on the short list to be chosen as Harris’ vice-presidential running mate. They include Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, to name a few. All of whom would be outstanding candidates and leaders. But one of whom stands out as spokesperson with the unique gift of being able to tame the wild beasts of Fox News.

SEE THIS: Fox News is Officially an Arm of Chinese State Media, Regurgitating its Attacks on Kamala Harris

Secretary Buttigieg has appeared on Fox News several times, and always manages to deliver a message that actually stumps the Trump-fluffing Fox interviewer. He expresses himself so plainly and compellingly that it’s even possible that he can get through to some of Fox’s viewers. And in an interview this Sunday Buttigieg demonstrated that ability in grand form. What follows are few choice excerpts from the interview (and a thread of the videos)…

“The idea that somebody hasn’t been tested or vetted when they have been vice president of the United States for nearly four years just doesn’t make any sense. [Harris] is in obviously one of the most visible leadership roles in the country and she’s demonstrated both her effectiveness in that job and a vision for the country that Americans agree with. And that’s the real reason I think she’s going to win.”

“[Trump] actually did keep two promises: He kept his promise to destroy the right to choose in this country, and he kept his promise on tax cuts to the rich … he lies all the time.”

“Unlike Republicans who in Trump’s personality cult will take a look at Donald Trump and say he’s perfectly fine even though he seemed unable to tell the difference between Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi, even though he’s rambling about electrocuting sharks and Hannibal Lecter. Even though he is clearly older and stranger than he was when America first got to know him, they say he’s strong as an ox, leaps tall buildings in a single bound. We don’t have that kind of warped reality on our side.’

“Crime is down under Joe Biden and crime was up under Donald Trump. Now, I don’t know how often that gets reported on this network, so if you’re watching this at home, do yourself a favor and look up the data.”

Throughout most this interview, Buttigieg had to cope with host Shannon Bream repeatedly interrupting him with attempts to push the Republican narrative (i.e. lies). And he still managed to smack down her weak efforts to dilute the impact of his facts and reasoning.

Buttigieg may not be at the top of the VP short list. He doesn’t have the ability to bring along a victory in a swing state. And being gay will probably (and unfortunately) be seen as too much of a progressive lean on the Democratic ticket. But there is no one better to face independent, and even right-leaning, voters on the campaign trail. He can continue a sort of residency at Fox News, while holding rallies in swing states such as Michigan and Wisconsin, and other Midwest neighbors to his home of Indiana.

Buttigieg would also be a good candidate for another Cabinet post in the Harris administration. He has experience and credentials that would qualify him for Housing and Urban Development, Education, Veterans Affairs, and Health and Human Services. And although he doesn’t have a background in journalism, he might make a darn good Communications Director.

LOCK THEM UP! Trump Demands that People Who Desecrate the Flag Go to Jail – Like His Followers?

This year’s most profligate proponent of law and order – former reality TV game show host and convicted felon, Donald Trump – is staking out a principled claim on justice that should make his glassy-eyed cult disciples twitch with nervous tension. Not that they aren’t already an angst ridden flock of freaks with acute anxiety disorders.

Donald Trump Hugs Flag

Trump has resumed his role as a call-in co-host on Fox News where his slobbering sycophantic pals on Fox and Friends provide him with free airtime to unload his mendacious musings. It’s an open forum for rage-casting and unhinged bashing of Democrats, especially the presumptive nominee for president, Kamala Harris.

On Thursday’s program, Trump held the “Curvy Couch” potatoes enrapt in his uniquely incoherent rambling. He predictably whined about his legal tribulations that he now blames entirely on Harris, who he slanders as “a radical, left, not very smart person.” Which is such a “smart” way of articulating that alleged thought. He also told his cult not to bother voting for him because he already has all the votes he needs. Another “smart” move on Trump’s part.

However, perhaps Trump’s most bizarre bit of blather was his lecture on the legal consequences of flag desecration. Trump offered his opinion in response to Americans protesting Netanyahu and the war in Gaza, some of whom burned flags. He said that such behavior should be severely punished, and anyone who disagreed with him is “stupid.”

“I think you should get a one year jail sentence if you do anything to desecrate the American flag. Now, people will say, ‘Oh, it’s unconstitutional.’ Those are stupid people. Those are stupid people that say that.” [and that] “Putin and President Xi of China, all over the world they’re watching this. Kim Jong Un […] That wouldn’t happen in their countries. It’s impossible for that to happen in their country.”

First of all, the Supreme Court has ruled that flag burning is, in fact, protected speech under the Constitution. Not that Trump cares about the Constitution. Secondly, Trump’s use of brutal dictators as examples of appropriate responses to such speech is typical of his own totalitarian aspirations. He hopes to impose the same sort of oppression here in America.

But what makes his remarks so astonishingly preposterous is that his own cult followers are the worst offenders of flag desecration. The United States Flag Code states in part that…

  • “The flag should never be used as wearing apparel.”
  • “The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.”
  • “The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever.”

Anyone who has seen the videos of Trump’s traveling salvation shows knows that his cult shows up regaled in flag attire. They wave flags defaced with his scowling mug and other representations of his MAGA movement. And Trump himself markets products (shoes, NFTs, bibles, etc.) with Old Glory plastered on them. Should everyone – including Trump – be incarcerated for a year for these offenses?

And that’s not all. What about the violent insurrectionists, that Trump calls “hostages,” who used flags on poles to attack police officers on January 6, 2021? Should they get an additional year added on to their sentences for rioting and assault?

Don’t expect Trump or any of his surrogates to answer these questions. They really couldn’t care less. Trump’s only purpose in proposing this is to attract attention and to tickle the fury of his feeble-minded fans. And if there were any justice, Trump would already be in prison for crimes much worse than the flag desecration he’s exploiting now.
