HALLOWEENIES: The Daily Show Mocks the Poor Horror Quality of the Trump Regime’s Fear Mongering

This year the spooky season is coming just a couple of days before an election that could prove to be truly scary. And while the frightening stories that are circulating are mostly being disseminated by Donald Trump and desperate Republicans, it is the MAGA GOP who are really afraid.

Most polls are showing that there could be a massive Blue Tsunami that could flush out much of the Republican majorities in Congress. And no matter what they do, the MAGA-tists just to seem to make things worse for themselves. They know the dire fate that awaits them, but they are dwelling in deep denial.

The Trumpies aren’t the only ones to notice this state of affairs. Jordan Klepper of the The Daily Show was stirred by the efforts of Trump and company to turn things around by trying to scare the bejeebus out of everybody. He led off his opening monolog by saying that…

“Republicans are desperately trying to scare voters with fear mongering, boogey men, and horror stories. And you know what? I am here for it!”

Whereupon Klepper dares Trump to “Go ahead, fear monger me.” Followed by video of Trump ranting about “transgender mutilization,” where children go off to school as Timmy and come home as Tammy. This asinine scarytale, that Trump has been telling for weeks, is mocked by Klepper who says that “the scary stories need to be at least a little believable.” Then he asks Trump to “give us another nightmare about what will happen if the Democrats win.” And Trump obliges saying that…

Trump: They will open the floodgates and invite hordes of jihadists to our shores creating a nightmare of violence and terror until you cannot even have a Christmas.
Klepper: Ooh! No Christmas? Is that supposed to be the worst part of the hordes of jihadists bringing violence and terror to our shores? I mean, when I’m being beheaded by ISIS am I supposed to be thinking, “Dammit! I had tickets to the Rockettes?

The attempts by Trump and Republicans to scare people away from voting for Democrats has been a flaming failure. Apparently lying that all Democrats are “radical far left lunatics,” and communists, and violent jihadists, isn’t a particularly marketable smear campaign. Especially when the GOP and their leader have governed so pitifully, resulting in a wrecked economy, an eight month (so far) war in Iran, and the alienation of America’s international allies.

You know what’s really scary? Trump’s Senior Neo-Fascist White House advisor, Stephen Miller, was on Fox News Friday morning reminding viewers that lying repeatedly is sociopathic. Was he talking about Trump?

“To lie so casually, so repeatedly, so comfortably is genuinely sociopathic. And they lied again, and again, and again. When everyone knows the truth. The only reason that Dan Sullivan has a fake Dan, a decoy Dan, running against him is because Democrats orchestrated it.”

Miller was addressing the Alaska Senate race where there are two candidates named Dan Sullivan. For the record, there is no evidence that anyone in the Mary Peltola camp lied to prop up the second Sullivan, or that Peltola knew anything about it. However, there is mountains of evidence, over many decades, of Trump lying pretty much every time he opens his mouth.

The scariest thing about all of this is that there actually are still people who believe Trump and support him. That sort of rank gullibility is spine chilling. But hopefully they will go back to their netherworld after the election on Tuesday. In the meantime, Happy Halloween everybody.
