Jesse Watters: ‘They Called Trump a Traitor, a Rapist, an Insurrectionist, a Nazi’ – Yeah, And?

The MAGA Republican Party is jam packed with fragile snowflakes whose tender fee-fees are crushed by some of the most trivial critiques. They follow after their cult leader, Donald Trump, whose massive ego has the resilience of a dandelion.

Trump is well known for his frequent and infantile insults and name calling. But when it comes to anyone having something negative to say about him, it’s an atrocity that can never be tolerated. In his narcissistic mind he is a perfect specimen of humanity, and it’s always others who are to blame for any problems.

SEE THIS: Delusional Trump Whines that Americans are ‘Angry at Republicans, But They’re Not Angry At Me’

This week the MAGA-tists went bonkers over President Obama saying that Trump’s White House looks like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory. They weren’t bothered by the Saddam association, just what they thought was a slam at the Cheesecake Factory. Which is a lovely restaurant, but do you really want the White House to look like a tyrants version of it?

On the Monday episode of the Fox News program “The Five,” where four Trump-fluffing right-wingers face off against a single Democrat, co-host Jesse Watters responded to complaints that Republicans have been going to extremes to smear Michigan Senate candidate, Abdul El-Sayed. They have been making outrageously false and racist allegations that he is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Trump himself has been saying that he is a violent jihadist.

None of them ever bother to present any shred of proof. It’s just a steady stream of purposefully defamatory lies. However, when confronted by the rebukes from Democrats, Watters defended the attacks on El-Sayed by comparing them to valid criticisms of Trump. Rattling off a bunch of them, that he attributed to an amorphous “they,” figures, Watters whined that…

“This is nothing compared to what they did to Trump. I mean they called Trump a Russian traitor. They called him a rapist. They called him an insurrectionist. They called him a Nazi.”

Watters never explained why any of that was wrong. So let’s examine it a little further here.

“They Called Trump a Russian Traitor”

There is ample evidence of Trump’s affinity for Vladimir Putin. He recently lifted sanctions on Russian diesel fuel, which would give Russia billions of dollars to continue their war against Ukraine. In fact, Trump has been siding with Russia since Putin first invaded. What’s more, Trump has allowed Russia to help Iran to attack American troops with impunity. And Trump even dismissed advice from American intelligence agencies in favor of what Putin told him.

“They Called Him a Rapist.”

Well, that’s only because Trump was actually adjudicated as a rapist by the judge, in the civil case filed by E. Jean Carroll. He has also been credibly accused of sexual harassment and assault by at least 27 women. And then there is the thousands of mentions of him the Jeffrey Epstein files.

“They Called Him an Insurrectionist.”

Surely everyone remembers January 6, 2021, when Trump incited an actual insurrection by his cult disciples who stormed the Capital in Washington, D.C. in an attempt to undermine democracy. He later granted a blanket pardon to all 1,500 of them.

“They Called Him a Nazi.”

In a 1990 Vanity Fair profile, Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana, told her lawyer that Trump kept a book of Hitler’s speeches titled “My New Order” in a bedside cabinet. He also complained that he wanted his generals to be more like Hitler’s. In addition to that, Trump has been executing governing strategies that he has taken straight from the playbook of notorious fascist dictators, with which he is suppressing the media, and the voters, and taking control of private businesses.

So Jesse Watters correctly pointed out some of the criticisms that Trump has received that were entirely valid. Unfortunately, neither he nor his viewers will acknowledge it. But we can take some comfort in knowing that most of the American people are aware of Trump’s authoritarian aspirations and corruption. And they will have their say on November 3.
