Meet Bill Sammon: The New Fox News DC Chief

The “Fair and Balanced” network, Fox News, has just promoted Bill Sammon to VP And Washington Managing Editor. Just so you know who will be heading up the political newsgathering for the so-called news network, here is a collection of his writings:

Bill Sammon Books
  • The Evangelical President: George Bush’s Struggle to Spread a Moral Democracy Throughout the World
  • At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election
  • Strategery: How George W. Bush Is Defeating Terrorists, Outwitting Democrats, and Confounding the Mainstream Media.
  • Fighting Back: The War on Terrorism from Inside the White House
  • Misunderestimated: The President Battles Terrorism, Media Bias and the Bush Haters

Bill Sammon is no less ideological or partisan than Bill O’Reilly. Now he will be in charge of all Washington news decisions. That means both establishing the tone and slant of stories they report, and determining what stories to refrain from reporting. He will also continue to appear on Fox News offering his opinions as a news analyst. Fox still hasn’t learned that opinions are not a part of the journalist’s responsibilities.

  1. “Fox still hasn’t learned that opinions are not a part of the journalist’s responsibilities.”

STILL hasn’t LEARNED? Let me fix it: “Fox continues to depend on its viewers preferring opinions that conform to their world view over real news or hard facts.”

Not that I think you didn’t know that. I just hate it when you’re nicer than you have to be.

  2. So Fox is biased and MSNBC isn’t? Get a life idiots. When you admit Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddog are biased perhaps I’ll listen to your comments about Fox.

    • Well then start listening, moron.

Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are biased. Happy?

The difference is that they are openly opinionated commentators. Bill Sammon is supposed to be a journalist. He is now the managing editor of Fox News in Washington. If you don’t see the ethical ditch he is wallowing in, you are terminally naive.

  3. “When you admit Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddog are biased perhaps I’ll listen to your comments about Fox.”

who ever said they werent biased? thats an easy thing to admit… but people at fox news and watching fox news will hardly ever admit that. they just repeat the tired old “fair and balanced” slogan again and again.

    • Exactly! That’s why I admitted it so easily.

The commenter above doesn’t really care about balance. S/he just wanted to smackdown MSNBC, without presenting any kind of cogent argument.

  4. Conservatives have put up with liberal bias in the media since the 60’s when the liberals started smoking dope in college and reveling in the sexual revolution ushered in by the prince of darkness himself, Satan. Those in the media then and the hippies who’ve now moved into positions of prominence in Hollywood, the media, academia, and other liberal bastions are now upset because, thank God, the American people are waking up to being hoodwinked for so long by liberalism. It wouldn’t have been effective, except for the constant drumbeat by liberals in so many influential positions in society.

Fox News, and Bill Sammon, et al, or so popular now because the majority of the American people don’t trust the liberal media anymore. And the ever-growing influence of conservative media outlets, is being reflected in the marketplace. The American people are turning to the right and Fox News “fair and balanced” strikes a chord because you always get both sides. That only happens on Fox News! The other news outlets are in the tank for Obama and have lost any remaining shred of credibility. I’ve never been fooled by liberalism because as a Catholic, the values of religion act as a filter to the errors of liberalism (and fake Republicans) who try to influence the mind of man to reject God and His Laws (i.e. homosexual lifestyle, homosexual marriage, contraception, euthanasia, stem cell reseach (on aborted babies), abortion, etc, etc.

I know this won’t go over too well, but hey, I call em like I see em.

    • You’re entitled to your view, but you are NOT entitled to drag the rest of back to the Dark Ages with you.

And by the way, Fox News has less than half the viewers of the lowest rated broadcast news program (CBS). It is viewed by about 1% of the American population. So don’t kid yourself about its popularity (not to mention its bias).
