However, in the past seven years Trump has turned his grifting operation to politics, raising millions of dollars from billionaires seeking favors from government, extorting funds from foreign countries, and fleecing his deluded MAGA disciples.

Expanding that criminal outreach into political scams, Trump is now proposing that his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump (Eric’s girl), be made co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). She would serve along side devoted Trump flunky and election denier, Michael Whatley, and Trump’s campaign manager Chris LaCivita. The elevation of that trio of toadies to run the RNC is further evidence that the party has devolved into a true cult that is blindly obedient to the will of its Dear Leader.

Lara Trump has zero experience in managing an electoral organization. So putting her in charge of the RNC in this profoundly significant election year is something that should be extraordinarily helpful – to Democrats. And she has already demonstrated how much help her leadership will be in a recent interview on Newsmax, the network that employed her as a guest host and contributor after her termination from Fox News. She told her colleague Rob Schmitt that…

“If I am elected to this position I can assure you there will not be any more $70,000 – or whatever exorbitant amount of money it was – spent on flowers. Every single penny will go to the number one, and the only job of the RNC. That is electing Donald J. Trump as president of the United States.”

The rest of the Republican candidates for office must be happy to hear that. The RNC is supposed to be a neutral enterprise that advances the prospects of all GOP candidates. But in the Era of Trump “the only job of the RNC [is] is electing Donald J. Trump.” For some reason Lara’s allegedly billionaire Sugardaddy-in-Law doesn’t think that he has enough money, or access to donors, to finance his own campaign. And that may be true because Trump has had to spend millions of his donors dollars on his legal fees and incompetent lawyers.

So now Trump has to appropriate all of the donations made to the RNC that were intended to benefit the party nationally. And even that may not be enough, considering that the Party’s current leadership under chair Ronna McDaniel has been so inept that the party has little to show for it’s efforts. They have raised record low amounts in the past year and have far less available cash on hand than their Democratic opponents.

But not to worry. With Trump’s daughter-in-law at the helm of the RNC, there will be no more wasteful expenditures on things like flowers. Now it will just be lawyers, Trump rallies, golfing, and portraits of Trump. Plus they will be able to introduce the tactics that Trump has used for decades to fill his pockets.

This election cycle has, unfortunately, seen the media embarrass themselves with ridiculous stories that compare a candidate that they say is old with memory problems, to his opponent who is also old and with 91 pending felony charges, an adjudication as a rapist, is guilty of financial fraud, and recently promised to illegally violate the NATO treaty and “encourage” Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to attack America’s European allies.

Last week the press covered the report released by special counsel Robert Hur on his probe of documents stored by President Biden. But what should have been a story about Biden being fully exonerated, was diverted into a smear campaign that made inappropriate and false assertions about Biden’s mental acuity.

Biden’s response to this unethical attack was multilayered. And consistent with his affable personality, humor was part of that response. For instance…

However, Fox News was apparently concerned about the strategies being employed by the Biden campaign. Host Harris Faulkner was generous enough to provide some free advice to help Biden deal with the furor over the Hur report’s unscrupulous insinuations. Never mind that most of that furor was fanned by Fox News itself. Faulkner began by asking…

“Who is doing this man’s strategy? President Biden joking about his age and memory. Insisting, in fact, he does remember things after that scathing DoJ report cast so much doubt. He didn’t get indicted because the question was, could a jury even go anywhere with him because he has no memory. Now he says he does have memory. Are they gonna indict him?

So Faulkner’s formula for disposing of this dilemma is to refrain from any and all humor. As if a scowling facade of seriousness would put the matter to rest. That sort of gloomy brooding and hostility might work for Trump on his cult disciples, but most everyone else finds it repulsive and repellant.

What’s more, Faulkner completely misstates the findings in Hur’s report. Hur did not decline to indict Biden because of an allegedly poor memory. It was because he didn’t have the evidence to indict, as he said in his report in several separate passages such as the following…

“[W]e cannot prove that Mr. Biden knew about or intended to keep the document after he was vice president, or we cannot prove the document contains national defense information, or both. These documents do not support criminal charges against Mr. Biden.”

Consequently, Faulkner’s snarky inquiry as to whether Biden would be indicted now that he has acknowledged that his memory is fine only confirms her own cognitive failings. He never claimed to have a memory problem to begin with. So his affirmation of his recall doesn’t change anything for Biden or the special counsel.

However, if you’re looking for a candidate with a faulty memory that would impact his fitness to serve, take a look at this one who couldn’t even remember when he got engaged to or married his current wife…

Trump’s MAGA movement is a textbook example of a cult, wherein the indoctrinated followers regard the leader as infallible and near to a deity. They forgive him any and all transgressions. He can lie with impunity. He can break laws and openly violate moral standards. He can commit 91 felonies and repeatedly defame a woman that he raped. Trump has done all of this, while retaining the adoration of his glassy-eyed disciples, as well as his Republican Party parasites.

But Trump and MAGA are more than just a typical cult. Trump’s model for his operations is organized crime. He envisions himself as a mob boss whose underlings are beholden to him by a combination of favors and threats. No one is safe from his wrath, which is the eventual end of nearly every relationship he has.

On Sunday morning Trump posted a comment to his failing social media scam, Truth Social that exhibited his crime boss belligerence. It was directed at pop superstar Taylor Swift and read…

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”

Trump thinks Taylor Swift should support him because he signed a bill (that he had nothing to do with, and probably knows nothing about) that benefited musical artists. He’s actually trying to take credit for Swift’s success that predated his occupation of the White House by a decade.

What’s more, Trump thinks that this inane argument will win him Swift’s political support. He thinks that she is as stupid as his MAGA minions, and that she has no values of her own. He would certainly ditch her, and viciously malign her, the instant she expressed any appreciation for President Biden. In Trump’s mind it’s all about money. So, like his hero, Al Capone, he demands loyalty for protection.

That was not the only recent example of Trump’s protection racketeering. He pulled the same move on America’s NATO allies. At his cult rally in South Carolina Trump told a story, that is surely pure fiction, about a leader of a “big country” who asked if the the U.S. would honor its treaty obligations in the event that Russia attacked them. Trump says that he replied…

“You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent? ‘No I would not protect you, in fact I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want.”

This is a grotesque betrayal of American and international law. Treaties are not mere handshakes between the signatories. They are explicitly cited in the Constitution’s Article VI as the “supreme Law of the Land.” As president, Trump couldn’t unilaterly withdraw for alleged non-payment. The funds that he is referring to are not even owed to the U.S. They are goals, not requirements, for the member nations’ own internal defense budgets. And yet, wannabe Dictator Trump believes that he can demand a ransom for America’s allegiance. To Trump American honor is for sale like any other commodity.

However, when Trump says that he would “encourage” Russia to attack our allies he is going even further into the realm of overt treason, as defined by Article III of the Constitution that refers to giving “aid and comfort” to our enemies. That couldn’t be more submissive to the will of Vladimir Putin than if Trump planted a big, wet kiss on his – let’s say mouth.

You know Trump is serious about this extortion scheme because that is precisely the position he’s taken on Russia’s invasion of – and continued slaughter in – Ukraine. It’s also similar to the threats he imposed on state election officials in Georgia and elsewhere to get them to falsify election results. He also tried to extort Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to pressure him to dig up dirt on Biden. Trump even threatened the Republican National Committee in order to divert donations to himself rather than the party.

The pattern you see developing here is not coincidence. It is representative of Trump’s transactional and tyrannical personality. And if he were to return to the White House he would sell the country to the highest bidder without blinking twice. We must never allow that to happen.

In the year since they assumed their razor thin majority in the House of Representatives, the GOP has managed to pass a measly twenty bills, most of which have little to no impact on the lives the American people. Instead, they focused intently on ousting their own Speaker, Kevin McCarthy (who it took them 15 votes to elect), and then spent three weeks to select his replacement, Mike Johnson an unknown backbencher with dubious credentials. Having achieved those tasks, they set their eyes on multiple bogus impeachment inquires and smear campaigns.

The latest clown show antics of the newly christened Trump MAGA GOP (Groveling Obedient Peons) sees them obstructing the passage of immigration legislation that they were previously begging for Democrats to support. But after a bipartisan group of Senators gave them precisely what they said they wanted, they turned tail and ran. That’s because Dear Leader Trump ordered them to abandon the bill in order to preserve the problems on the border so that he can blame them on President Biden.

Well, the Biden-Harris campaign isn’t playing along. On Wednesday morning they posted a thread on Twitter that exposed the flaming hypocrisy of Trump and his MAGA minions with evidence in their own words. The brutal and truthful takedown begins with a tweet showing Trump’s duplicity, and includes the following from his loyal cult comrades…

Donald Trump lying that “the only way to properly secure the border is with a bill from Congress.” Followed by Trump saying that “America doesn’t ‘need a bill, frankly’ to secure the border.”

Mike Johnson lying that “passing legislation to secure the border is a ‘top priority.'” Followed by Johnson saying that “‘there’s no way we could’ even vote on the bipartisan bill to secure the border after Trump told him not to.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene lying that “passing legislation to secure the border ‘should be the priority'” Followed by Greene saying that she “’could care less’ about the bipartisan bill to secure the border and that it’s ‘dead on arrival'”

Steve Scalise lying that “America ‘deserves’ Congress to pass a bill to secure the border.” Followed by Scalise saying that “the bipartisan bill to secure the border is ‘dead on arrival.'”

Jim Jordan lying that “‘we’ve gotta’ pass a bill to secure the border.” Followed by Jordan saying that “the bipartisan bill to secure the border ‘shouldn’t even be brought to the House floor.'”

Ted Cruz lying that “the border is ‘a crisis at a level we have never seen before.'” Followed by Cruz saying that “‘we don’t need’ the bipartisan bill to secure the border.'”

Josh Hawley lying that Congress needs to “secure our border.” Followed by Hawley saying that the bipartisan bill to secure the border “should be dead.”

Ron Johnson lying that securing the border “should be” Congress’ “top priority.” Followed by Hawley saying that passing the bipartisan bill to secure the border is “worse than passing nothing.”

Rick Scott lying that “nothing” else should “get passed” before Congress secures the border. Followed by Scott saying that “we don’t” need the bipartisan bill to secure the border.

That’s a damning indictment of the GOP’s shameless sophistry. They couldn’t care less about the border or resolving any issues with immigration. They only want to weaponize what they call a “crisis” for their political gain. And despite their caterwauling, they want you to forget that they passed their own ultra partisan border bill (HR 2, Secure the Border Act of 2023) last year. But now, according to their own rhetoric, they consider that a waste of time that did nothing and wasn’t needed.

What’s more, Republican Rep. Chip Roy delivered a searing condemnation of Trump and his own GOP colleagues on the House floor about the false Republican talking point that any president could close the border whenever they want and legislation isn’t necessary. He said that…

“I saw former president Trump make that allegation earlier today on one of his social media posts. All a president has to do is declare the border is closed, and it’s closed. Well, with all due respect, that didn’t happen in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. There were millions that came in during those four years.”

President Biden addressed this mess on Tuesday in speech to the nation that spelled out the failure and dishonesty of the Republicans in Congress who were torpedoing the bipartisan border bill. He correctly observed that “the MAGA Republicans said ‘No,’ because they’re afraid of Donald Trump.” then he elaborated saying that…

“If the bill fails, I want to be absolutely clear about something. The American people are going to know why it fails. I’ll be taking this issue to the country… the American people are going to know the reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump.”

From here on out the Republicans own the border and whatever problems they say are occurring there. They refuse to participate in a solution because they are only interested in having a political cudgel with which to hammer their opponents. And they are hoping that the American people are too stupid to catch on. However, with the exception of the minority of MAGA cultists, they are going to be sorely disappointed to learn that the nation is smarter than they think.

The 2024 presidential election may not hew as closely to that principle as prior elections. The emergence of Donald Trump has introduced some rather unique considerations that skew the strategic landscape in today’s politics. For instance, it’s the first election wherein a major party nominee is facing 91 felony criminal charges, has already been held civilly liable for defamation and rape, and is promising to reign as a dictator.

That said, the economy will still be a significant factor on the minds of voters as they make their choices for president. And the fact that the economy is presently firing on all cylinders presents a real problem for Trump and his mouthpieces at Fox News. The last thing they want is to run against Bidenomics as it is creating jobs, lowering inflation, lifting wages, and boosting the prospects of American business.

Consequently, when Fox News’ Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, interviewed Trump for her Sunday morning program, she made a point of deflecting from Biden to two other notable persons who have made it clear that they are not running for president: Gavin Newsom and Michelle Obama. And Trump was all to happy to take the bait…

Bartiromo: You’ve said that you don’t even think [Biden] is who you’re going to face off in November.
Trump: Personally, I don’t think so.
Bartiromo: Well, Gavin Newsom is right out of central casting. How are you going to do up against Gavin Newsom?
Trump: I tell you what. Because he’s so much bullsh*t. He want’s to say how wonderful…it’s doing horribly. His state is doing horribly. You look at the homeless problem. You look at the people that are leaving. You have companies that are leaving. They’re all leaving for other locations. I think Gavin’s easy because California is a disaster. He has been a horrible governor.
Bartiromo: What if it’s Michelle Obama? How are you going to do against Michelle Obama?
Trump: You have to see. Look, I’ve seen polls where she doesn’t do well. She may do well. But I’ve seen polls where I beat her easily. I beat her by a lot. I had four great years.

This segment could not have been a bigger waste of time. Newsom and Obama have been crystal clear that they aren’t considering any campaign for the White House. Trump’s opinion that Biden won’t be his opponent is based solely on his fear that he is likely to lose to him again, just like he did in 2020. So Newsom and Obama are convenient deflections from that recurring fate of humiliation and defeat.

Naturally, Trump insists that he can easily beat Newsom or Obama. He childishly maligns them as he does any opponent that threatens him. And his confidence that he would prevail is a product of his massive, yet fragile ego. You can rest assured that he has never seen a poll showing that he would beat either one of them. But he has surely seen evidence of the booming Biden economy.

What’s more, his assertion that he had “four great years” is contrary to reality. He presided over the worst pandemic in a century. And his ignorance, incompetence, and even deliberate neglect, resulted in far more dire consequences than would have been suffered if an able administrator were in charge.

His term also had the worst record on job creation since the the Great Depression. Plus, he raised taxes for the working class, and lowered them for corporations and the wealthy. He put justices in place who set women’s rights back fifty years. And he sucked up to our foreign enemies while alienating our allies.

In short, Trump had four disastrous years that left the nation poorer, more in debt, sicker, and more divided than ever. Then he left the White House kicking and screaming about election fraud, stole classified documents and lied about it, tried to instigate a violent insurrection, and sought to strongarm state officials into altering election results.

That record makes him vulnerable to Biden, Newsom, Obama, or any other challenger. At this point he would lose to SpongeBob SquarePants. American voters are not about to turn over the country to a criminal crybaby with authoritarian aspirations.

FLYING KETCHUP ALERT: Peter Doocy of Fox News Reports New Poll that Shows Biden Beating Trump

Joe Biden, of course, is the incumbent Democratic candidate with no serious competition. Donald Trump, however, is in a near panic, despite the fact that he has faced relatively light opposition from Ron DeSantis, who has dropped out, and now Nikki Haley, who is ramping up her attacks.

For the past several weeks Biden has trailed Trump in many polls, and has suffered with low approval ratings. But Trump’s approval hasn’t been any better. Nevertheless, Trump and his MAGA media minions have made a point of celebrating every poll that showed Trump ahead, even if it were only by a point or two and within the margin of error. And yet, Trump still can’t find any comfort in the numbers that he slobbers over.

On Thursday morning, Fox News White House correspondent, Peter Doocy, was interviewed by his father, Steve Doocy, on Fox and friends. The subject of the segment was a new poll by Quinnipiac that put President Biden ahead of Trump by six points (50-44). It appears that the American people are starting to feel the the positive effects of Biden’s leadership, and that is beginning to be reflected in the polling. The younger Doocy reported that…

“The trends here may be changing because President Trump, former President Trump, has been leading national poll after national poll over President Biden for the last couple of weeks, but not in this one. And maybe it’s an outlier, maybe it’s not. But Quinnipiac had Biden up on Trump six points, 50 to 44.

“The Biden team has been trying to pivot to general election mode. They’ve been focusing on abortion access and on union jobs. And the Trump team has spent the last week or so dealing with his legal issues.”

Trump is not going to take this well. He has been known to viciously lambast Fox News whenever they are something less than unwaveringly worshipful. And he is particularly infuriated when they dare to report the results of polls that show him behind.

Doocy correctly points out that Biden has been campaigning on substantive issues that the American people care about, such as abortion and jobs. He could have also mentioned the booming economy, climate and environment, healthcare, gun reforms, tax equity, and saving democracy.

Meanwhile, Doocy gently touches on the fact that Trump is wholly consumed by his “legal issues,” which include 91 felony charges and a recent $83.3 million judgment in favor of E. Jean Carroll, the woman he raped and defamed.

Doocy continued his poll analysis, noting that third party candidates like Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. take votes from both candidates, but that Biden still beats Trump 39 to 37. Then he observed that Nikki Haley was ahead of Biden 47-42, but that she is unlikely to get the Republican nomination.

All told, this is the sort of report that is likely to trigger a Trumpian aneurism. Mar-a-Lago staff has been put on Red Alert for incoming ketchup bottles. And Dr. Rep. Ronny Jackson, aka “The Candyman,” is on call for distribution of additional doses of Adderall and other psych meds.

Throughout his occupation of the White House, and well into his current campaign to return thereto, Trump has performed a like circus clown for his dazzled audience of devotees. He does this primarily to keep them distracted from the fact that he lacks any of the requisite experience or intellect to function as a political leader. He couldn’t care less about governing, because he’s too consumed with enriching and exalting himself. Or trying to avoid civil and criminal liability for his multitude of crimes.

On Saturday Trump delivered a speech to his cult followers in Nevada. It was just another rehashing of the same tedious talking points he has been disgorging for months (years). However, he did offer an allegedly comedic diversion to the delight of his disciples. In the middle of his routine raging, Trump lashed out at President Biden saying that…

“His speeches last for about 3 minutes cause you know his gasoline sort of runs out a little bit. It’s a little bit like an electric car, isn’t it. It doesn’t go far. It doesn’t go far. It’s got a couple of problems. It doesn’t go far. No, but I finished his speech. I did this great imitation. You know he always points like, huh. And then he walks in a different direction. But I did it He goes like, huh.”

Trump is, of course, lying. Biden often speaks for an hour or more. And without resorting to name-calling or disseminating disinformation about cars – or the economy, or the border, or healthcare, or Russia, or civil rights, or pretty much everything else Trump talks about. The truth is that it’s Trump’s attention span that runs out of gas after about three minutes, and he has to change the channel to Fox News and order another bucket of KFC.

Trump then staged what he says is his “great imitation” of Biden. That consists of Trump turning his back on the audience and walking into the wall behind him. What could be funnier? And what could be more blatantly projection by someone who is actually in a severe cognitive decline? It’s so obvious that even Biden noticed his mixing up of Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi…

Trump later brought up what he regards as one of his proudest moments – supposedly passing a test to detect early onset dementia. But it wasn’t enough for him to brag about his own imaginary mental acuity, he also had to disparage his own supporters…

And still they eat it up. That’s how cults work. The followers believe only what Dear Leader tells them, even if it’s how stupid they are. Which only makes it more imperative that the rest of us work furiously to insure that Biden beats Trump again in November. The alternative would be four more years of asinine posturing and clown acts.

HE’S TOTALLY UNHINGED: Nikki Haley’s Fox News Hit on Trump Would Make a Great Ad – For Democrats

The 2024 Republican presidential primary continues to generate heat with the field narrowing to just the former reality TV game show host, Donald Trump, and Trump’s former U.N. ambassador, Nikki Haley. The two GOP candidates are starting to take harder swings at one another as they seek to draw support from the remaining Republican voters who haven’t been alienated by the MAGA cult and other right-wing extremists.

For his part, Trump is hammering at Haley, in his typically infantile manner, as a “birdbrain” who doesn’t have what it takes to lead the nation. Never mind that he is wrought with fear and desperation resulting from his mounting political and legal tribulations. He is so consumed with anxiety that he can’t pause to appreciate the primary wins he had in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Haley, on the other hand. is taking advantage of Trump’s psychotic stupor by focusing on his obvious cognitive malfunctions. That includes his confusing Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. However, Haley went even further in an interview on Fox News to highlight the more substantive failures of Trump’s administration during his occupation of the White House. In an exchange with Fox’s Dana Perino (formerly George W. Bush’s press secretary), Haley slammed Trump (video below):

Perino: Ronna McDaniel, the head of the Republican National Committee, on Tuesday night she said that she thinks you should get out of the race. Have you spoken to her?
Haley: I let her know how disappointed I was. Let’s look at the last 48 hours. First of all you had election night. Trump gets on stage and he throws an absolute temper tantrum, talking about revenge. But he says nothing about the American people. Nothing about what he’s gonna do about the wasteful spending that he encouraged and allowed the Republicans and Democrats to do in his term. He said nothing about how he’s gonna secure the border and what he’s going to do different that he didn’t do when he was president before. He said nothing about how he’s going to prevent war.

That’s a pretty comprehensively damning statement of how utterly Trump betrayed the most prominent planks of his political platform. From the economy, to the border, to foreign policy, Trump failed. And her remarks can easily be compiled into a scathing advertisement by Democrats during the general election. And just to add icing to this cake, Haley points out how destructive Trump is to the Republican Party as he aspires to be their authoritarian master:

Haley: Then he goes and says that he’s going to ban anyone from MAGA that donates to me. Think about that. That’s a president who’s supposed to serve every person in America, and you’re deciding that you’re going to have a club and actually ban people from being in and out of your club. And then he goes and encourages the members of the RNC and tries to push them into saying that he’s the nominee in the race. I mean, they got so much pushback that he had to backtrack. He’s totally unhinged.

Trump’s unhingedness has been apparent to most Americans for years. It’s astonishing that more Republicans haven’t recognized it, and that everything Trump does is for Trump. He couldn’t care less about his followers, or his political confederates, or the Party, or the nation. You either worship him unwaveringly, or you’re banished. Marjorie Taylor Green made that point explicitly. And that’s what was behind the proposal by the Republican National Committee to summarily declare that Trump their nominee before the vast majority of people even voted. And to no one’s surprise, he lied about that as well:

However, Democrats should be grateful that Haley provided such a searing condemnation of Trump, who is likely to be the GOP’s candidate in the fall. They should put that ad together and be prepared to air it frequently. And Haley isn’t the only Republican who is inadvertently producing ads for Democrats…

Even After Winning, Trump Has a Post-Primary Meltdown, Attacking Friends and Foes and Fox News

The psychotic disorders driving Donald Trump are progressing rapidly toward a total mental malfunction. And one of the signs of his deterioration is that he remains consumed with outrage and vitriol, even after events that would ordinarily lift a sane person’s spirits.

On Tuesday night Trump won the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, beating Nikki Haley by eleven points. To be sure, that was a less than impressive achievement considering that he had predicted a thirty point margin of victory, and late polling showed ahead by eighteen points. But it was victory, nonetheless, in the same disappointing vein as his triumph the week before in Iowa.

Not content to appreciate electoral success, Trump delivered a speech that was rife with rancor and lies. He declared that he won New Hampshire in the general elections of 2016 and 2020. He didn’t. And he exhibited the sort of bitterness one would expect from a loser, which by some analysis, he is. After all, he barely got to 50% in New Hampshire. And as reported by Politico, “Donald Trump has a big problem ahead.” “Forty-three43 percent of Nikki Haley supporters said they would back President Joe Biden over Trump.”

So naturally, Trump sheltered in the safety of his failing social media scam, Truth Social, to vent his frustration at not being unilaterally declared King of America. He began by taking a shot at his former press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, who now works for Fox News. She made the cardinal sin of pointing out that President Biden had “a fairly good night” in New Hampshire, and that exit polls found that “7 in 10 Nikki Haley voters said ‘I would not vote for Trump.'” Then she offered the following advice to her old boss…

“If I were Trump I’d sit back and I would exclusively focus on the general election. I’d take the posture of the presumptive nominee. I’d focus on, number one, uniting the party, and number two, getting the independents, which Nikki Haley won 55-39 percent.

That’s actually pretty good advice. But Trump wasn’t pleased by her presuming to give counsel to the all-knowing Messiah of MAGA. Especially after she made a couple of truthful observations about Biden and Haley. He snarled that…

“I don’t need any advice from RINO Kayleigh McEnany on Fox. Just had a GIANT VICTORY over a badly failing candidate, ‘Birdbrain,’ and she’s telling me what I can do better. Save your advice for Nikki!”

That’s how Trump responds to friendly suggestions from people who were loyal confederates. It is evidence of a deeply disturbed and despondent personality who knows that he is trouble both politically, and even more worrisome, legally.

But he wasn’t through raging. He posted another couple of comments that displayed his seething anger and cognitive collapse. In a 12:43 AM post he complained “Here at Haley HQ in Concord, they are playing CNN on the big Screen.” Heaven forbid! But just two minutes later he whined that “CNN & MSDNC TREATED MY BIG, DOUBLE DIGIT VICTORY OVER BIRDBRAIN, BETTER THAN FOX!” So apparently Trump was watching CNN as well. And he couldn’t resist an opportunity to lash out Fox News, despite their relentless promotion of him and his campaign.

These are not the commentaries of someone who is excited at being successful. They are the tirades of someone who is terrified of a future filled with suffering. And to top it off, Trump lapses into his all to common delusions of divinity. He re-posted a meme that heralded that “His Truth Is Marching On: Trump Emerges Victorious in New Hampshire.” That’s a lyric from the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” referencing the return of a vengeful god, and casting himself in the role of the deity whose disciples rejoice that “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.”

And the cult choir sings “Glory, glory, hallelujah,” with the hopes of exalting Dear Leader Trump and his overtly anti-American movement. While those who reside in the real world are ever more motivated to prove between now and next November that they will work diligently to preserve the democracy, civility, and liberty, that are the foundations of our republic. And you know that Trump hates the prospect of that.

UPDATE: Sean Hannity and his guests (Byron Donalds and Ari Fleischer) have the same advice for Trump as McEnany. Will Trump cancel them as RINOs too?

What remains of Republican politics is now nothing more than a vehicle for a wannabe dictator, with 91 felony counts pending, who has been adjudicated as a rapist, and espouses a platform of retribution against his perceived foes.

Donald Trump has completely taken over the Republican Party and demands unwavering fealty to his holiness. In his narcissistic delirium he imagines that he is beloved by millions of devoted disciples, and any criticism or departure from absolute adoration, can only be explained as “fake news” or the work of “radical, communist, fascist, lunatics, and thugs,” which is how he describes Americans – Democratic or Republican – who resist his divinity. Plus, he has his own official Ministry of Propaganda to infect his minion with his madness.

On Tuesday Marjorie Taylor Greene was interviewed at a Trump rally in New Hampshire. Her comments affirm the obsequious servility of the Trumpian mindset. She proudly told the reporter that…

“This is a true change for the Republican Party. Not only do we support President Trump, we support his policies. And any Republican that isn’t willing to adapt these policies we are completely eradicating from the party.”

Did you hear that, Republicans? The MAGA contingent of the GOP aims to “eradicate” you if you dare to exercise any sort of independent thinking, or entertain any notions that haven’t been preapproved by the Ministerial Mavens of MAGA. Free expression is verboten in these venues. The press has already been warned, and now the threat of excommunication must be extended to the rank and file members of the new GOP (Groveling Obedient Peons).

This mandate has already been imposed on Republican heretics such as House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Liz Cheney, Sen. Mitt Romney, Gov. And any Republican who thinks that they can’t be next is terminally naïve. So sayeth apostle MTG. Trump’s will be done.
