Never let it be said that Donald Trump has ever wavered in his unflinching fealty to people and policies that are deliberately destructive and opposed to democracy and freedom. He is a faithful disciple of totalitarianism and the world’s most prominent practitioners of it, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, etc.

Trump’s devotion to advancing his MAGA dystopia is boundless, as is evident in his governing style that emulates tyrants old and new. He insists that he has unchallengeable power. He engages in rampant corruption to enrich himself, his political cronies, and his billionaire comrades. He pontificates on expanding his global empire. He builds or steals monuments to his own vanity and imaginary glory. And he suppresses anyone or anything that questions his messianic supremacy.

On Saturday morning Trump took to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, to announce his latest tribute to His MAGA-sty: The AI FORCE. And to hear him tell it, it is a new branch of the armed services with a mission to defend artificial intelligence and all of its atrocious appendices. Trump began his announcement by enumerating what he considers to be a string of hoaxes…

“Over the years, there have been many Hoaxes, all generated by the Radical Left Dumocrats, for purposes of destroying our Country. RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, Global Warming, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, and now, the decimation, or destruction, of AI, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence — And I, as President of the United States, will not stand by and let this happen.”

That rant is classic Trump. And it only serves to remind everyone of all the verifiable scandals and criminality that define his occupation of the White House. Yes, he is an asset of Russia, an enemy of Ukraine, and a twice impeached felon with bizarre sexual obsessions. And as for AI, Trump demonstrates that intelligence is not his strong point. He offers a brief history of AI, saying that…

“It all began with an attack on our Data Centers, until people realized how wealthy and prestigious they were for the Communities in which they were built.”

True to form, Trump doesn’t provide a single shred of proof that AI data centers have been financially advantageous to anyone except the corporations that build them. If he really believes that they benefit communities, why doesn’t he offer to have one built at or near Mar-a-Lago, or any of his golf courses? Don’t hold your breath for that. He won’t even tolerate a few wind turbines. But data centers that dirty the environment, devour energy, and destroy the peace of neighborhoods, he claims to staunchly favor and will steadfastly defend…

“We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows!”

So Trump’s AI Force will be the first branch of the service tasked with “cherishing” a business enterprise based on a controversial technology. And with that Trump declares that…

“I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term. To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI “Czar” — Only High I.Q. individuals need apply!”

We can rest assured that Trump’s “High I.Q.” AI Czar will match the qualifications of his Cabinet. Such as his alcoholic, ex-Fox News, Secretary of War Crimes, Pete Hegseth. Or his former heroin addicted, vaccine skeptical, Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy, Jr. Or his criminal defense lawyer turned Attorney Genuflect, Todd Blanche. Or his election denying plumber, Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullen. Or his reality TV contestant Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy. Or…Well, you get the idea.

Just to make sure that everybody understands just how ignorant Trump is about AI, he helpfully posted another comment that makes it unmistakable…
