This video should be required viewing for the historical amnesiacs and revisionists who wistfully wander down paths of ignorance that lead to personal ruin and animus and hostility, but could be avoided with just a little perspective and reason. As usual, Bill Moyers supplies copious amounts of both.

And don’t forget to help out Patrick Murphy’s campaign against West in Florida’s 18th district. Send a progressive Democrat to congress and send West packing (or more likely, to Fox News).
I’d love it if West and his psychotic teabagger ilk attempted their dream of a fascist coup, so I could personally stomp a few of them.
Is it me, or does Allen West look like he would be perfectly comfortable goose stepping in uniform while saluting his leader in lock step with his automaton comrades? I think it is a legitimate question given some of the quotes from above, and that just scratches the surface of some of the crazy shit this guy has said, on record. I truly find him frightening. I really don’t think I would feel comfortable in the same room with this guy.
We all realize that Allen West is a few pancakes short of a stack, but get a load of the audience: “OMG! OMG!”

They just keep throwing crap at the wall to see what sticks. First it was the Second American Revolution (let’s all us “patriots” overthrow the government). Then it was God (prosperity gospel God, that it)talkking to them three times a day. Throw in some good old fashioned Southern Strategy and if that doesn’t work, then dredge up the Red Scare. I suppose they figure they’ll try everything that’s worked for them in the past.
Unfortunately for them, we live in the present.
Look up the Venona papers. It vindicates McCarthy. He was right, the government was saturated with Communist agents for the USSR. And now we have a Commie POTUS and you Obama salad-tossers cheer, demonstrating the success of Antonio Gramsci’s long march through the institutions and your indoctrination.
