Republicans Found Something They Would Raise Taxes For: Civil War Against Obama

The Fox News affiliate in Lubbock, Texas, interviewed County Judge Tom Head who explained why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year. One of the reasons he cited was that if President Obama is reelected…

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens? I’m thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

“Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ’em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here’.”

What is going to take for people to accept the fact that the modern Republican Party is just plain batshit crazy? This isn’t borderline anymore. Tom Head is an actual judge, not the kind on People’s Court. And the GOP aversion to taxes is apparently flexible enough to be waived if the money is used to fund a military response to an imaginary United Nations assault on Lubbock. Really?

Judge Head later clarified his comments, although “clarified” may be the wrong word:

“As emergency management director I have to think of worst case scenario, and I used that as an example yesterday. Okay, in my opinion, the worst case scenario politically and financially right now is if Obama and the Senate Democrats stay in power. Okay, because I have some opinions what they’re doing and what they’re trying to do if they stay in power. And I have to prepare for that, okay.”

The people of Lubbock must feel so safe and cozy knowing that Judge Head(case) is preparing for every possible worst case scenario. When the rest of the nation succumbs to the Black Plague, or is overrun by marauding Swedes, Lubbuck alone will survive because Head will have anticipated the danger. That’s worth another 1.7 cents in taxes, isn’t it?

  1. That’s actually not crazy at all. Look into it. Do i little research of your own. I despise Faux news and the modern state of the republican and democratic party. But the point he is making is valid. There are foreign troops in the U.S. being trained to handle civil unrest. Fact. Don’t be blind to it because it comes out of a crazy republicans mouth. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue, Bush was doing it too. Do the research, that information is out there. How about your next story be about that very thing. The two parties are meaningless because they’re exactly the same where it really matters.

    • I’m not sure on some of your comments (I didn’t do any research yet), but you’re wasting your time with this group – unless you’re willing to give yourself to the government completely, you’re a nut. Only the government is good here, too much personal freedom is not. Mark is as blind today to reality as many of us were in 2004 when GW Bush was running for re-election – and we know how that turned out.

      • Wow, Steve-in-York, as usual missing the point of this site and misunderstanding liberal positions. Liberals do not think that “only the government is good”. Government can and has been bad and needs to be monitored like anything else. What we think is that government has a role to play in our lives, communities and economy. It is not some evil entity ready to seize your liberty. We also don’t think “too much personal freedom is bad”. We are looking for ways to enlarge freedoms. So stop arguing against a straw man.

        • Good points, but wasted on these two. They rarely address the topic at hand and resort to ad hominem attacks.

Steve is actually right when he says that he and Scott are wasting their time here. It’s true. They have nothing to contribute and the readers of this site are too smart to fall for the insane blather that they spew.

I couldn’t even bring myself to respond to Scott’s agreement with Judge Head(case) that Obama and the UN are plotting to invade US cities. I like to let those inanities speak for themselves.

          • You’re right… but sometimes we do it for the lurkers.

          • I wasn’t agreeing with judge Head(case). I never mentioned Obama, the UN, or used the word invade. Once again look into it yourself. The greatest threat to the people through out history has always been the government.

            • Oh please. You said that it’s “actually not crazy at all,” and that “the point he is making is valid.”

  2. Is this judge a gangstalking victim or something?? Why the flaming fuck would any president seed the sovereignty of the us to the UN????? Why? For what? What would that even mean, let alone would it work? Oh, and again….WHY???!?!?

That is absolutely outside sanity. If he actually spelled it all out step by step, it would be obvious that he needs some help. Anybody that believes this shit needs to get some meds.
