Trump Picks Dr. Oz (Another Fox News Hack) to Lead Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

The Cabinet of Donald Trump is shaping up to reflect his most notable range of experience, that of a former reality TV game show host, with a reputation that was wholly manufactured by network public relations agents. Heaven forbid that Trump would select someone with the actual skills and knowledge to do the job he is appointing them to.

The single most common characteristic of the team Trump has put together thus far is their shared employment and/or association with Fox News. To date at least ten of Trump’s proposed agency heads have been either Fox News hosts or regular contributors. They include such ill-equipped talking heads as Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, Mike Huckabee for ambassador to Israel, Tulsi Gabbard for director of National Intelligence, and many more.

SEE THIS: Trump is Stacking His Cabinet with Fox News Trump-Fluffers

On Tuesday morning Trump added to that list of disrepute Dr. Mehmet Oz, who Trump is nominating to be the next administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In the announcement that Trump posted on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, he said that…

“Dr. Oz will work closely with Robert F Kennedy Jr. to take on the illness industrial complex, and all the horrible chronic diseases left in its wake.”

Well, Oz will be working with the RFK, Jr, the guy with the dead brain worm, who collects road kill, and says that no vaccine is safe. That’s comforting. What’s more, Oz has no background in health care administration or social services. What he has is a face that Trump has seen on his TV.

As for his medical background, during the COVID pandemic, Oz “promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine, an antimalarial drug, as a cure for COVID-19 on more than 25 Fox News broadcasts in March and April 2020.” And “In April 2020, Oz appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity and said that reopening schools in the United States might be worth the increased number of deaths it would cause.” And he has also said that he wants local political leaders to join with women and doctors in their personal decisions about abortion.

Suffice to say that this is another department within the Trump administration that would be run by an incompetent who lacks the basic skills to conduct its business. And his opinions are diametrically opposed to those of most of the American people. But fear not. Trump assured us in his announcement that he will carry out Trump’s mission to slash the budget for these healthcare programs that millions depend on, saying that…

“He will also cut waste and fraud within our Country’s most expensive Government Agency, which is a third of our Nation’s Healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire National Budget.”

The obsession by Trump and the Republican Party to cut Social Security and Medicare is totally understandable when you recognize that they have to do it in order to pay for the tax breaks that they plan to give to corporations and the wealthy. Someone has to pay, and it sure isn’t gonna be Trump or his billionaire buddies. And if the suffering it causes happens to impact the MAGA minions in rural America, well, it’s what they voted for. It’s just unfortunate that the rest of the country will have to suffer along with them.

Trump’s Cabinet Picks Make it Hard to Tell the Difference Between Russian State TV and Fox News

Forty years ago in 1984, with some measure of prescient irony, a song called “Nobody Told Me (There’d Be Days Like These)” by John Lennon was posthumously released that included the lyric “Strange days indeed.” Which is an apt description of current times considering how, less than two weeks ago, America was thrown into turmoil when a twice-impeached, convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and aspiring dictator, was elected president of the United States. And that’s just the short list. Here’s a more comprehensive enumeration of Donald Trump’s noxiousness

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump Vladimir Putin

In the intervening days, Trump has revealed a motley crew of candidates to populate his Cabinet that includes an accused sex trafficker (Matt Gaetz), a health conspiracy crackpot (Robert Kennedy Jr), a TV host who has defended war criminals (Pete Hegseth), and a suspected Kremlin sympathizer (Tulsi Gabbard). What they all have in common is a blatant absence of any requisite skills or experience to do the jobs they’ve been tapped for, and a cult-like reverence for their Dear Leader Trump. Also, close ties to Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News.

SEE THIS: Trump is Stacking His Cabinet with Fox News Trump-Fluffers

Making this White House of Ill Repute even worse is that they have been sanctioned by the spin proctors of Vladimir Putin’s empire. Russian state TV has fully embraced Trump’s choices as noted in this report from Moscow by CNN…

Anchor Erin Burnett: Tonight celebrations on Russian state television after Trump picked Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard for highly sensitive national security roles.
Correspondent Fred Pleitgen: Kremlin controlled TV praising some of president-elect Trump’s cabinet picks, calling designated attorney general Matt Gaetz ‘a Trump loyalist,’ and also speaking favorably about Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard for repeatedly parroting Kremlin talking points on the war in Ukraine.

“‘She, from day one, clarified the reason for the special operation in Ukraine,’ the Russian anchor said, criticizing the actions of the Biden administration. Gabbard’s words in 2022, right after Russia launched it’s invasion of Ukraine, caused even panelists on Russian state TV to cynically ask whether she’s a Kremlin agent.

And if that weren’t enough, another Russian media analyst, Julia Davis, reported that “Russian state TV propagandists and government officials expressed their delight with Trump’s selections, saying that ‘All of them are totally wonderful!‘”

The similarity of these glowing appraisals of Trump’s Cabinet comrades with those by Fox News anchors and contributors is unmistakable. They are all equally impressed by his ability to recruit unflinchingly faithful flunkies who are utterly devoid of qualifications. Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and others, have greeted Trump’s nominees with the very same drooling adoration. And despite their obvious character deficiencies, the Fox crew is all in on their appointments, even as Trump maneuvers to avoid actual background checks and confirmation hearings.

SEE ALSO: Dictator on Day One! Trump Nixes FBI Background Checks for his Unqualified, Anti-American Cabinet

This isn’t just a coincidence that Fox News and the Kremlin have such well aligned and positive views of Trump and his sub-par team. It is an unambiguous indication of where Trump’s loyalties lie. He has a long history of praising Putin and defending his crimes against humanity. While at the same time Trump has disparaged the U.S. as corrupt, filthy, failing, and a third world nation that is a garbage can for the rest of the planet. What’s more, Trump incessantly insults American leaders as liars and criminals who are bent on destroying the country.

The American people must not dismiss the coordinated messages that Trump and Putin are delivering. We must be vigilant and committed to resisting their assaults on our republic and to preserving democracy. The next four years are going to be challenging. And part of that challenge is to remain aware of the threats posed by anti-American propagandists both foreign and domestic.

Fox News Asks Biden’s Press Sec if He Apologized to Trump for Saying He’s a Threat to Democracy

The unfortunate outcome of the presidential election last week is already sending spine-chilling reverberations across the political landscape as the ghastly consequences of another Donald Trump occupation of the White House become impossible to ignore.

Fox News, Joe Biden, Fake News

The shape of Trump’s Cabinet has become deplorably clear in the past few days. His nominees so far reflect his inherent corruption, ignorance, aspirations of autocracy, and the shallowness of a former reality TV game show host. Most of his picks are closely associated with his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News.

SEE THIS: Trump is Stacking His Cabinet with Fox News Trump-Fluffers

Trump has not yet named his choice to be his press secretary. But rest assured that it will be a brazenly dishonest purveyor of self-serving falsehoods. In the meantime, we should appreciate the press secretary currently serving President Biden, Karine Jean-Pierre.

At Wednesday’s daily White House press briefing, the noxious odor of Fox News wafted into the room as a reporter from their business network, Edward Lawrence, was called upon to ask a question. True to form, it was a preposterous question that had nothing to do with any matter of concern to the American people. Instead, he sought to manufacture a melodrama out of the morning meeting that Biden had with Trump…

Lawrence: We saw a unified front related to a transition in the Oval Office meeting. But a lot was said on the campaign trail like ‘Trump is a dangerous threat to our country and our democracy. Was there an apology today?
Jean-Pierre: I’m sorry? Apology from whom? I’ve answered this a couple of times with respect to democracy in the past week. The President is always going to feel obligated to be honest with the American people. What he says still stands. And it’s not just him. You heard this from former [Trump] staffers.

Biden had nothing to apologize for. He told the truth about Trump. And as Jean-Pierre went on to note, is was Trump’s own close associates who were the ones that raised the question of his threat to democracy. It was his White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, his Defense Secretary, Gen. James Mattis, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, and others who said that Trump was a fascist who praised Hitler. Trump himself made statements that were overtly threatening to democracy, such as branding his critics as “the enemy within.”

Lawrence’s question also neglected to mention that Trump used the very same language aimed at Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, who he said, without a shred of evidence, were threats to democracy. But Lawrence didn’t bother to ask whether Trump apologized. Unrattled by Lawrence’s purposeful provocation, Jean-Pierre gave a calm and coherent response…

Jean-Pierre: What we also want to be very clear about is listening to the will of the American people. There was an election. It is important to respect our institution. It is important to respect the free and fair election. And that’s what this President is doing.

America needs to prepare itself for what’s to come in the White House Press Briefing room. Axios is reporting that Trump is expected to shake it up.”

“Trump’s first administration tried to ban outlets it saw as unfavorable from off-camera press briefings. That included the New York Times, Politico, CNN and BBC.” […]

“Any efforts to expand access to daily press briefings to pro-Trump outlets, such as Steve Bannon’s War Room, would need to come at the expense of existing outlets.”

So get ready for briefings that feature folks like Bannon, Alex Jones, and Laura Loomer. The “mainstream” media reporters from the New York Times and CBS and NPR will all be banished as “fake news.” And Trump’s press secretary is likely to be someone like his former attorney Alina Habba or his daughter Tiffany. Which means the rest of the media had better grow a spine and be prepared to protect the very notion of a free press.

Trump is Stacking His Cabinet with Fox News Trump-Fluffers

Donald Trump isn’t wasting any time putting together his White House regime. And true to form, it is shaping up to be an assembly of cult disciples devoted to Dear Leader who will place his egomaniacal priorities above the welfare of the United States and its citizens.

Donald Trump, Fox News

Among the common characteristics of the first batch of Trump nominees are their unflinching loyalty to Trump, their commitment to bending to whatever is the MAGA agenda of the hour, their uniform whiteness, and their extremist views that align with his utter lack of ethical principles.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Refusal to Sign the Required Ethics Agreement is His Virtual Promise to Violate It

There is, however, another distinction that is shared by Trump’s early nominees. They all have a close relationship with Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda, aka Fox News. They are frequent guests who have reliably disseminated the MAGA doctrine for years on the network that features such unabashed Trump flunkies as Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and Maria Bartiromo. Media Matters compiled the stats on the bookings of these new nominees to be government officials, and reported the number of times they have recently appeared…

  • Michael Waltz (National Security Adviser): 569
  • Stephen Miller (Deputy White House chief of staff): 374
  • Lee Zeldin (Environmental Protection Agency administrator): 307
  • Marco Rubio (Secretary of State): 263
  • Kristi Noem (Homeland Security secretary): 135
  • Elise Stefanik (Ambassador to the United Nation): 108
  • Tom Homan (Border “Czar”): 80
  • Mike Huckabee (Ambassador to Israel): Former Fox News host
  • LATE ADDITIONS:
  • Sean Duffy (Secretary of Transportation)
  • Tulsi Gabbard (Director of National Intelligence)
  • Sebastian Gorka (Deputy Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Counterterrorism)
  • Janette Nesheiwat (Surgeon General)
  • Monica Crowley (Assistant Secretary of State and Chief of Protocol)
  • Kimberley Guilfoyle (Ambassador to Greece)

Also added… Pete Hegseth (Secretary of Defense): Co-host of Fox and Friends.
While all of the nominees in the list above have little experience or qualifications for the jobs they have been nominated for, Hegseth is particularly egregious.

He attained only the rank of Major in the Army. He has no experience in broad command of military operations, developing strategy, or administration. He has never led a large organization like the Pentagon with more than 3.4 million people, including soldiers and civilian employees.

What Hegseth does have is experience in disseminating propaganda. He also has something in common with Trump – Being a serial adulterer and financial fraudster. He has been a full time Fox News talking head since 2014. In that time he has attacked the military and veterans. For Instance…

And then there’s this…

This is not unlike Trump’s first occupation of the White House. During that time he also relied on poaching people from Fox News to staff his administration. They included his National Security advisor John Bolton, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert, Director of the National Economic Council Larry Kudlow, and many more.

No one should be surprised by these ties. Despite how often Trump complains about Fox News, they are still his best source of positive propaganda. For instance, just this Tuesday morning the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends discussed the differences between how Democrats were handling their losses this year, and how Republicans handled them in 2020

Steve Doocy: Here’s the thing. Those people are all entitled to their opinion and they can feel how they feel. But, he is going to be president for four years. He won a four-year term. Just deal with it.
Lawrence Jones: I don’t remember Republicans acting out like this, cutting their hair and all of this after Donald Trump lost in 2020. You’re sad, you’re demoralized, but you move on.

Exactly! Republicans didn’t do anything crazy on January 6, 2021, like cut their hair. They just calmly stormed Congress, beat police officers, threatened representatives and their staff and VP Mike Pence, and vandalized the seat of American democracy. All in an attempt to overthrow a free and fair election. You know…they “dealt with it.” And Trump hasn’t stopped whining about it for four years.

The only “moving on” that is being done now is Trump’s Fox News mouthpieces into his administration. What’s. next? Jeanine Pirro for Attorney General? Maria Bartiromo for Treasury Secretary? Jesse Watters for Labor Secretary? How about Peter Doocy for Press Secretary? He is already auditioning for the post…

Trump’s Election Morning Madness Soars as He Declines to Renounce Violence and Attacks Fox News

It’s finally here. Election Day has arrived and millions of Americans, who have not already voted early or by mail, will be heading to the polls to cast their votes. It’s still surprising that some people are having a hard time deciding between Vice-President Kamala Harris, a uniquely qualified and compassionate leader who cherishes democracy, and Donald Trump, a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and business failure/fraudster, with authoritarian aspirations.

Donald Trump Crazy

For his part, Trump seems to be making it easier for voters to decide by cementing in their minds the derangement and division that he offers, which has been the hallmark of his political life. His last rallies of the campaign season were rife with his standard supply of lies and hatred toward minorities, migrants, women, and anyone else that triggers his monstrosity…

SDEE THIS: Kamala Harris Presents: The Creature from the Orange Lagoon

On Tuesday morning Trump answered a few questions at his Mar-a-Lago bunker that were wholly in line with his character, or lack thereof. For instance…

Trump was upset with Oprah Winfrey because she said that a Trump victory could mean that there won’t be any more elections. However, Trump has said the very same thing about a Harris victory. “If we don’t win this election,” he said, “I don’t think you’re going to have another election in this country,” That led Trump to lash out at Oprah, which somehow turned into an attack on Fox News (was he weaving?)…

“Oprah should be ashamed of herself…You know who else should be ashamed? Fox…I think it’s a disgrace what Fox does. Everyone thinks that Fox is so pro-Trump. They’re not pro-Trump at all.”

No, Fox News isn’t pro-Trump at all. Except for all of the unabashed slobbering done by Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, and pretty much everyone else on the network that is Trump’s official Ministry of Propaganda. And Trump is so disgusted by all the anti-Trump “reporting” on Fox that he appears on it almost exclusively…

SEE ALSO: Scaredy Trump Has Retreated to the Safety of His Fox News Bunker While Canceling Other Media

The non-stop Trump-fluffing at Fox News makes it possible for Trump make the most absurd comments, knowing that they will defend him at all costs. Even when he praised Hitler and expressed his desire to have generals like the Nazi fuehrer. Which leads us to his next election morning excremental exchange…

Reporter: Would you tell your supporters there should be no violence?
Trump: I don’t have to tell them that, that there’ll be no violence. Of course there’ll be no violence. My supporters are not violent people. I don’t have to tell them that…These are people that believe in no violence. Unlike like your question. You believe in violence!

Of course there’ll be no violence. Who would ever imagine that Trump supporters would engage in violence after he loses an election? Certainly the events of January 6, 2021, tell us nothing about that possibility. Just ask those who died that day…oh wait. Ask the 140 police officers who were hospitalized, or the members of Congress and their staff, or the hundreds of violent insurrectionists who pleaded guilty, whether his supporters are violent people or not.

He doesn’t have to tell them to refrain from violence now, just like he failed to tell them then, because he was enjoying watching that “day of love” (as he now calls it) on TV while it was in progress.

And we can’t ignore Trump’s casual accusation that the reporter’s question was the true display of who believes in violence. It was another example of his deft use of the old “I know you are, but what an I” defense.

Finally, Trump was asked what he would say to those who are concerned that he will not concede this election if he loses, He replied that “I think they’re crazy.” Why would they be concerned about that? Just because he still hasn’t conceded the election of 2020, and has been lying about it continually for four years, creating a disinformation industry around his bullsh!t?

These examples of Trump’s dangerously demented mental state are coming too late for most voters to factor them into their decisions. But they are representative of what he’s been saying for years. So everyone ought to know. Here’s hoping that enough them do know and are voting for Kamala Harris so that the nation can have stable leadership that respects the law and the people. Stay tuned.

Scaredy Trump Cowers Behind Sean Hannity – Still Too Afraid of Non-MAGA Media and Kamala Harris

The final week of a close presidential campaign generally sees the candidates making their last pitch to attract and motivate voters and to persuade those who are undecided. They fill their schedules with opportunities to seal the deal, particularly among communities where they might be weak.

Click here to Tweet this article

Fox News Sean Hannity

To that end, Kamala Harris gave a rousing and unifying speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday that drew 75,000 people (22,000 more than Trump’s speech there on January 6, 2021). Her speech was aimed directly at Americans who are exhausted by the chaos and discord that epitomized Donald Trump’s occupation of the White House and the years that followed.

Trump, on the other hand, held a rally at Madison Square Garden that reeked of hostility, division, and hatred for anyone that wasn’t unwaveringly worshipful and devoted to Dear Leader.

SEE THIS: DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

In recent days, Harris has granted interviews to a wide variety of media, including “The View,” “Late Night with Stephen Colbert,” Howard Stern, Univision,” “60 Minutes,” and even Fox News. As the campaign season winds down, Harris continues to make more of these sort of broadly diverse appearances before millions of people.

Meanwhile, Trump has been sequestering himself within his MAGA media bubble where he knows that he will never face any challenging questions or pesky fact-checks. (Well, almost never). And he was too chicken to debate Harris after his first whooping. Instead, Trump has been studiously avoiding any situations that he fears will be unfriendly. Which leaves Fox News, where he has appeared ten times – more than twice a week – in just the past month.

That may not be the best way to expand voter outreach, but it makes sense for someone who is utterly incapable of completing a rational thought, expressing an intelligent opinion, or avoiding humiliating gaffes. Although Trump still manages to embarrass himself, even within the hospitable confines of his Fox fortress.

For instance, on Tuesday night Trump made another visit to his Minister of Propaganda, Sean Hannity. While there he touched on several subjects that are unlikely to advance his electoral aspirations. Among them was his resolutely racist rant about rampant crime, about which he lied that…

“Our country is a crime ridden country. When they go into department stores and strip the store and our police stand out there wanting to do their job but they’re told ‘stand down. Don’t touch anybody.’ And they’re walking out with refrigerators. And they’re walking out with air-conditioners.”

First of all, crime is way down, and Trump’s dystopian tales of stripped department stores and constrained police are pure fiction. Secondly, does he really expect anyone to believe that criminals are “walking out with refrigerators”? Those must be some pretty muscular thieves.

Trump also addressed the recent uproar over a speaker at his MSG rally insulting Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” Without renouncing the remarks, or apologizing, Trump said that…

“Somebody said there was a comedian that joked about Puerto Rico or something. I have no idea who he is. Never saw him. Never heard of him. Don’t want to hear of him…You throw comedians in, you don’t vet them and go crazy. It’s nobody’s fault…and they try to make a big deal.”

This is a common Trump dodge wherein he just claims ignorance. Which for him is believable. However, this comedian was vetted and his script was reviewed and edited prior to it being loaded into the TelePrompTer. And contrary to Trump’s futile wishes, it has become a big deal, with a potentially significant impact on the election.

Trump also thought it would be a good idea to talk about the speculation that he is a Hitler loving fascist. Because what candidate wouldn’t want to keep that on the top of mind of voters? He began by telling Hannity that his father had told him to “never mention that name.” So naturally, Trump said that…

“They accuse me of being a Nazi. They accuse me of being a Hitler-type guy or a Hitler lover, and I’m not; I’m the opposite. They are the ones that are doing it. They are oppressive. This is like an oppressive machine.”

Way to rub it in, Donald. And by the way, what’s the “opposite of Hitler”? If Hitler’s “master race” rhetoric was promoting White supremacy, then is Trump a proponent of White inferiority? Does Trump have any idea what he’s even talking about?

Furthermore, when trump complains that “they” are the ones “doing it,” he’s talking about his own White House Chief of Staff (Gen. John Kelly), Defense Secretary (Gen. James Mattis), and others who worked closely with him in his administration who are the ones that branded him as a fascist who praises Hitler.

So even with his pal Hannity, on his favorite network, Trump still makes a fool of himself. But not to worry, he’s speaking to an audience that is already committed to voting for him no matter what awful things he says or does.

However, that isn’t going to be much help. Because while Harris is out in the field rounding up every vote she can, Trump is preaching to his hideously off-key choir. Which he will continue to do because he’s too afraid to face anyone – pundits or voters – who haven’t already pledged their allegiance to him.

Trump Held a ‘Press Conference’ Where He Took No Questions and Gets Fact-Checked By – Fox News?

One of the best indicators that the Donald Trump campaign has suffered yet another catastrophic collapse is the scheduling of an emergency media event to stir in some irrelevancies intended to deflect from the damage he’s done.

Donald Trump TV Set

The frantic rush to fumigate his political house drove Trump to hold what he called a “press conference” following the fiasco of his Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday. The interminably long and unbearably tedious affair was rife with the sort of demagogic White supremacism that marked the previous “America First” rally staged at MSG 85 years ago by the American Nazi Party.

SEE THIS: DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

Trump and his campaign knew that they had laid a rotten egg shortly after a featured guest speaker insulted Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” And while the campaign made a mild statement that the “joke” didn’t “reflect the views” of the campaign, Trump himself has still failed to repudiate it or apologize. And that slur only scratched the surface of the hostility that was rampant at the Garden.

Instead, Trump held a phony press conference that was nothing more than another opportunity to spew the very same repulsive rhetoric that he unloads at his cult rallies. The venue for this sham was his own Mar-a-Lago home/hotel, and he was still more than an hour late arriving. Plus, he packed the room with his supporters who were cheering on cue for everything he said.

Trump never mentioned the demeaning of Puerto Rico and the millions of Puerto Rican citizens throughout the United States. But he did launch ludicrous and baseless attacks on Kamala Harris for running a “campaign of hate” and “trying to destroy our country.” Which was pure projection on Trump’s part. What’s more, he ducked out the back way without taking a single question from the assembled reporters. Why on Earth would any journalist bother to show up for this sort of charade?

In a fit of deliberate deception Trump repeatedly referred to the MSG hate-mongering as a “love fest.” Which, ironically, is the very same way he described the deadly January 6th insurrection that that he incited.

MORE HERE: On Fox News (Again) Trump Says January 6th Was a ‘Day of Love’ and Doubles Down on Pet Eating

Fox News carried Trump’s so-called press conference without correcting any of the obvious lies he told on a variety of subjects. However, there was one thing that Fox’s Harris Faulkner felt compelled to correct…

“At the very beginning, you heard the former president talk about a stolen election. And while he may feel a certain way, the facts remain, Joe Biden was declared the winner with 51% of the vote. The states certified those results of the 2020 election, and Congress accepted those results. Now, the nation is moving toward November 5th.”

UH-OH. Faulkner just contradicted Trump about his insistence that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. That’s likely to earn her a Truth Social shoutout from him saying that “I HATE HARRIS FAULKNER AND FOX NEWS!!!” But she may have felt some pressure to make this particular correction because it’s on the same subject for which Fox News lost a $787 million defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems.

As for Faulkner’s observation that “nation is moving toward November 5th,” that’s something that the calendar makes irrefutable. But it doesn’t stop Trump or Fox News from setting up another round of election denying after the 2024 results are in. In fact, they have already started. And the spectacle of Trump continuing to rant about 2020 at this mockery of a press conference is proof of it.

For the record, when Trump completed his prepared whining, he left the room to the applause of his MAGA audience, and his campaign anthem, “YMCA.” So what exactly made this “press conference” different from his rallies?

DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

As Election Day draws near, candidates generally make more concerted efforts to refine the part of their message that they want voters to focus on. For instance, Kamala Harris is currently talking more about lowering the economic burdens on middle class families, protecting reproductive freedom and access to healthcare, and preserving American democracy.

Trump Praised Hitler

Donald Trump’s campaign is also seeking to remind voters of what he regards as the most important themes to reinforce in the minds of his MAGA minions. And judging by the rally he held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, that appears to be his affinity for the neo-fascist ideals that have long been present in his raging cult rally rants.

However, Trump is increasing the intensity of his hate-speech for these final days of the campaign and, with the help of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, he’s making certain that his devotees don’t miss the point.

SEE THIS: HOLY CR&P! Fox News Defends Trump Wishing that He Had ‘the Kind of Generals that Hitler Had’

What Trump and his campaign strategists may not understand is that the Harris campaign is just as anxious for the voters to see the real Trump as Trump is. Which is why the Democratic Party was outside of Trump’s MSG rally projecting this message onto the arena where he was speaking: “Trump Praised Hitler.”

Indeed, it was recently revealed that Trump told his White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, that he needed the “the kind of generals that Hitler had.” Kelly went further to note that Trump himself “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

During the MSG event, Trump’s surrogates affirmed much of what was already known about Trump’s character, or lack thereof. An especially troubling example was when an alleged comedian dropped a repulsive insult aimed at fellow American citizens saying that “There is literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

The potential for harm by that “joke” was recognized by some members of the Trump team, and they tried meekly to distance themselves from it. But that’s a difficult task since it mirrors Trump’s own rhetoric wherein he said that “America is a garbage can.” The futile attempt to clean up the joke continued the next morning on Fox News…

Fox and Friends co-host Steve Doocy: This morning the mainstream media picked up on the comic’s comments, which were offensive and have been denounced by the campaign and everybody else. What went on with that?”
Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt: It was a comedian who made a joke in poor taste. Obviously it does not reflect the views of president Trump or our campaign. And I think it is sad that the media will pick up on one joke that was made by a comedian rather than the truth that was shared by the phenomenal list of speakers that we had. We had congressmen and women. We hade Sen. JD Vance. […] And the crowd, they didn’t mind. It was a diverse group of people. The joke fell flat. But the crowd was there because they know who president Trump is.

First of all, Doocy’s assertion that the comic’s comments were “denounced” is not exactly accurate. There was only a statement saying that it “did not reflect” the views of Trump or his campaign. That’s a long way from saying, for example, “That sort of hateful bigotry is intolerable and we unreservedly repudiate it.” Also, Doocy’s claim that “everybody” denounced is untrue. In fact, nobody who followed the comedian, including Trump, bothered to condemn his remarks.

Secondly, Trump’s spokeswoman, Leavitt, let the comedian off with a gentle wrist-slap, saying only that the joke was in “poor taste.” Then she complained that the media dared to report this disgustingly racist attempt at humor by an approved guest of the Trump campaign who must have known what he would say if his script was loaded into the TelePrompTer. Yet nobody sought to modify the bit, which included another joke about the comedian carving watermelons with his Black friends for Halloween.

Finally, Leavitt downplayed the whole affair because, as she noted, “the crowd didn’t mind.” So what? Of course they didn’t mind. Trump’s racism is why they love him. And it proves the one thing that Leavitt got right. That “the crowd was there because they know who president Trump is.”

Exactly! And so does the majority of the American people. And if they all get out to vote between now and November 5th, Trump will be the one put in the garbage bin of history. LFG!

Fox News Edits Trump Video in the Same Way that They Accused CBS, Which Trump Said Was Illegal

The bar for hypocrisy by Donald Trump and his MAGA media apologists has been set so low that a cockroach couldn’t limbo underneath it. But that doesn’t stop them from trying. Case in point… Fox News has been revealed to have engaged in behavior that they previously castigated CBS for, even though CBS did not do what Fox alleged, but Fox did.

Fox News, Fake News

A couple of weeks ago, Vice-President Kamala Harris was interviewed on CBS’ 60 Minutes. This interview has been an annual tradition for presidential candidates of both parties for fifty years. This year, however, Trump chickened out, which was probably a rare wise decision on his part given the increasing frequency of his abhorrent commentaries and humiliating mental glitches that has caused him to cancel multiple media events.

Following the Harris interview, Trump lashed out at CBS with a preposterous accusation that the network had improperly edited the discussion in order to make her look better. Trump raged that the interview was “A giant Fake News Scam by CBS & 60 Minutes…which is totally illegal.” He called for CBS – and all the other broadcast news networks – to have their licenses revoked (FYI: broadcast TV networks are not licensed by the federal government). But even that wasn’t enough to satisfy him. He also demanded that Harris drop out of the race.

As it turns out, there is a network that improperly edited a campaign event for a presidential candidate. And no one will be surprised to learn that it was Fox News and the candidate was Donald Trump.

Trump staged a totally phony photo-op at a barbershop in the Bronx. The shop, and all of those present in it, were pre-screened Trump supporters. And now the segment that Fox News produced there has been exposed for its blatant deceit. As reported by CNN

“Trump was seen taking questions and making small talk with Black and Hispanic barbershop customers and workers [but] Fox edited out many of Trump’s rambling comments and false claims. Participants had to repeatedly follow up when Trump meandered away from the original point of their questions.

CNN reported that the editing by Fox News deliberately excised some of Trump’s most noxious comments. They included his repeating the nonsense about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio, eating cats and dogs, his incoherent rambling in response to a question about taxes, and his gushing praise for Hungarian dictator, Viktor Orbán.

A Fox News spokeswoman admitted that the barbershop segments “were pre-taped and edited…for time and clarity.” Which, according to CNN’s analysis of the raw footage, is false. There was a clear attempt to alter the impression made by Trump at the fake campaign stop. However, Fox’s excuse is exactly what CBS said about its editing of the 60 Minutes segment, which Trump insisted was illegal. So it’s apparently okay for Fox News to do it, but a criminal offense if CBS does.

An attorney for CBS replied to the threat made by Trump to sue the network, saying that…

“‘It begs logic to argue that 60 Minutes hid the first part of the Vice President’s answer to the question,’ [CBS SVP Gayle C.] Sproul wrote. ‘It did not. The public is aware of that part of her answer because 60 Minutes itself publicly distributed it by providing it to Face the Nation for promotional purposes and posting it on X and other 60 Minutes-branded social media for the same reason.'”

This isn’t the first time that Fox News has manufactured such a brazenly biased charade and passed it off as “news.” They recently aired a program that they promoted as a citizens town hall with Trump. However, the audience was stacked with MAGA devotees whose questions were marinated in a glutinous purée of adoration for Dear Leader.

The fact that Fox News is so committed to shilling for Trump and other MAGA Republican politicians and policies is not exactly a new discovery. But the fact that they are so bad at it after so many years of practice is pretty pathetic. And as their partisan goals get farther from reach – such as Trump’s candidacy – we can expect them to crawl even farther out on the limb of dishonesty and journalistic misconduct.

HOLY CR&P! Fox News Defends Trump Wishing that He Had ‘the Kind of Generals that Hitler Had’

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump have been frighteningly apparent for years. From his earliest forays into political affairs he has been extraordinarily shameless about expressing his dreams of dictatorship. It’s a yearning that gnaws at him when what he believes should be his right to unchecked power is obstructed by technicalities – like the Constitution.

Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler

Trump’s open embrace of autocracy is evident in his idolization of tyrants such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un. His admiration and envy of these thugs is not something that he hides. He even told his pal, Sean Hannity of Fox News, that he would “be a dictator on day one” of his administration if given the opportunity.

With just two weeks remaining before Election Day, a new report about Trump’s imperious inclinations has surfaced. It might be considered an “October Surprise,” were it not for the fact that it isn’t the least bit surprising. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t still nauseating.

Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, has revealed that Trump frequently spoke of his admiration for Adolf Hitler. He told colleagues that “I need the kind of generals that Hitler had.” And when asked for confirmation, Kelly said that…

“Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

These are the kinds of remarks that would have sunk a presidential candidate in years past. But Trump is not so much a politician as he is a cult leader. And cult followers have an unshakeable devotion to their leader. Which is especially disturbing when the followers are also hosts of propaganda programs on alleged “news” networks.

On Wednesday morning, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends addressed the comments made by Gen. Kelly. And true to form, they endeavored to defend Trump’s affinity for Hitler and craving for his own Nazi regime. Co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to recast the comments of Trump’s former National Security Advisor, H.R. McMaster, into a justification (video below), saying that…

“He talked about how [Defense Secretary Gen. Jim] Mattis and Kelly didn’t like the president. And they didn’t think he deserved the job, or they didn’t think he was worthy of the job and they went out of his way to make sure a lot of the things that he asked them to do, that they didn’t like, never got done. McMaster would be frustrated. Because he couldn’t get their attention, and he would say “it’s not your job to rein in the president. it’s your job to do what the president wants.”

Let’s stop there for a moment to notice that Kilmeade’s tale of what McMaster thought or said is pure conjecture on Kilmeade’s part. Both Mattis and Kelly thought well enough of Trump to accept his appointments to serve in his administration. If they later had reservations about some of the unlawful requests Trump made, it was not to “rein in the president,” but to honor their oath, which is to the Constitution, not the man. It is not their job “to do what the president wants,” but to adhere to the law. But Kilmeade wasn’t through. In continuing, he employed his clairvoyant powers to speculate as to what Trump might have been thinking…

“He obviously has frustration. And I can absolutely see him going, ‘now you know what, it would be great to have German generals that actually do what we ask them to do.’ Knowing that’s a third – maybe not fully being cognizant of the third rail of German generals who were Nazis and whatever.”

To be sure, Trump was likely frustrated by not having the totalitarian powers that he craved. So Kilmeade was tolerant enough to excuse his hankering for “German generals” who do what they’re told. Never mind that it was the threat of execution that enforced such obedience. Even worse, Kilmeade dismissed Trump’s desire to command unquestioning officers as merely his ignorance that Nazis were actually the bad guys.

Kilmeade also didn’t bother to mention that Kelly’s opinions about Trump’s fascist tendencies are shared by his military and national security colleagues, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, his former Defense Secretary, Mark Esper, and his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton. Plus more than 700 national security officials have endorse Kamala Harris for president, calling her a candidate who “defends America’s democratic ideals,” and blasting Trump as “unfit to serve.”

This is typical of how Fox News makes excuses for Trump no matter how repulsive his behavior, or how dangerous the consequences. They are even there to whitewash his embrace of fascism and Hitler. Which makes Fox News no better than Trump or the Nazis that he seeks to emulate. That should be more than sufficient to motivate patriotic Americans to vote in historically large numbers for Harris. And to that end, be sure to vote and get everyone you know to vote as well. This is up to all of us now.
