In recent days Trump’s illegal war against Iran has devolved into a cesspool of acrimony and retaliatory threats, while Trump claimed he had just successfully negotiated a deal for peace. And speaking of cesspools, Trump’s “renovation” of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool continues to be more reflective of a sewage swamp.

Furthermore, Trump’s mismanagement of the economy has resulted in higher inflation and rising costs for everything from gas, to groceries, to housing, to healthcare, and more. Consequently, it should come as no surprise that Trump’s approval ratings are in the toilet. Which makes it all the more bizarre that he seems to think that he’s riding a wave of massive popularity.

On Friday morning Trump posted a comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, “bragging” about having found a poll that “accurately” measures how universally beloved he is. He claims, without providing a source, that he has approval ratings of “65% and more.” In the post he linked to an article by the rightist rag Newsmax, that cited a poll putting him at only 50%. And that one was done by the notoriously biased, right-wing pollster McLaughlin. And even that was ridiculously inflated. See CNN’s poll of polls average placing Trump at an abysmal 37% approval.

This sort of lying about his perceived fabulousness is patently Trumpian behavior. However, it’s difficult to tell whether he actually believes this obvious bullpucky, or if he is just so determined to avoid telling the painful truth that he doesn’t care how apparent his lies are. If it advances his efforts to deceive his gullible cult disciples, he’s all in.

Clinging to rabidly partisan pollsters, and manufacturing other numbers that exist only in his rapidly putrefying brain, is typically Trump. Just two days ago he posted a comment that said simply (and firmly in all caps) that “MY REAL POLL NUMBERS ARE THE HIGHEST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. THANK YOU!!!” As usual, he didn’t bother to include a link to any poll confirming that claim. He just expects his devotees to believe whatever he says. Because that’s how cults work.

Trump’s vision of himself as a messianic figure continued on Friday with a speech to the “Faith and Freedom Coalition.” It was a speech crammed with theocratic crackpottery that reeked of political biases, religious bigotry, and incitements to violence. It also included something that Trump framed as a joke. But it was the sort of joke that Trump tells when he’s expressing his true feelings, but doesn’t want to take heat for it. He whined that…

On Wednesday night Trump christened his “Freedom 250” affair with a speech on the National Mall. And true to form, he spent most of his time kissing his own asinine posterior. Naturally Trump employs the rhetoric of a circus barker, with his “greatest show” lingo. And remember, this is the Trump rally that nearly every performer originally announced canceled. And now the “entertainment” consists only of Lee Greenwood, a couple of military marching bands, and Trump. But it’s surprising that he announced that “your favorite president” will be there. So President Obama will be speaking?

More telling is that Trump had to resort to begging his disciples to show up for the event. And his reasoning was not because they should honor the country and celebrate its independence. Nope. Trump’s reason for pleading with them to attend was to prevent him from looking like the pathetic loser that he is. That’s the obligation of cult minions. Always fluff Dear Leader’s ego.

On Thursday morning Trump boasted about Wednesday night’s speech in a comment that he posted to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He babbled about the “incredible” crowd, lying that it was “At least 45,000 people…with a huge Television and online audience.” Other more credible estimates placed the audience at 5,000-6,000. And he couldn’t possibly know the TV viewership because those numbers haven’t been released yet. When they are released they are unlikely to be particularly impressive because even Fox News only aired about 15 minutes of it.

Trump also claimed that “Everybody stayed right until the end of my Speech.” Which is another lie. And it was contradicted by videos of people leaving while he was still speaking.

Question: Buying a home is unattainable for so many Americans. Is this election legislation more important to you than resolving the housing crisis?
Trump: Every election is important. We’re doing very well. They want a lot of communists to come in. I’m saying it a little bit differently, but the people that they’re pushing are communists. And this country is not going to have Communists.

Notice that Trump didn’t come close to answering the question about the comparable relevance of his voting bill to resolving the crisis in housing costs. That’s at least partly because he couldn’t care less about the problems of real people when measured against his fixation on retaining and enhancing his authoritarian power.

To drive that point home, Trump canceled a scheduled press conference and is refusing to sign a bipartisan Housing bill that would actually benefit many Americans in order to bully Republicans into passing his anti-constitutional Voter Suppression Act. He posted on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social that…

Instead of responding to the question, Trump ranted incoherently about [gasp] “communists” taking over the country. Of course, he has no idea what communism is. He just uses the word as an all-purpose pejorative to insult Democrats.

In effect, Trump is now admitting that his “Enslave America Act” was never really about election integrity or voter ID. It’s about rigging elections so that they favor Trump and his MAGA candidates that most Americans find abhorrent. Which, not coincidentally, is exactly how most of them regard Trump as well.

If anything, they have become even more consistently dishonest as the years went by. Particularly since they adopted an obsequious affinity for the notoriously pathological liar, Donald Trump. And Trump’s deceit has grown exponentially with regard to his reckless and illegal war against Iran.

On Tuesday morning Trump posted a comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, bragging about his imaginary successes in his Middle East misadventures. He said that…

“19 Million Barrels of Oil flowed out of the Hormuz Strait yesterday, an all time RECORD. Oil prices are tumbling down, and the World is a much safer place!!!”

Virtually everything in that comment is untrue. Oil prices are still much higher than they were before the war. The oil is not flowing smoothly through the Hormuz Strait. And the world is hardly safer with Iran getting billions of dollars as a result of Trump’s “peace deal” that they are free to spend on new military equipment and funding for terrorists groups, but with few concessions on their part.

Shortly after Trump posted that comment, Fox News reported it on their X/Twitter account. They prefaced it by saying that “Trump is celebrating what he says was a record day for oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.”

Unfortunately for Fox News, their focus on Trump’s assertion about the “all time record” for oil flowing through the Strait got a fact check by the moderators on X/Twitter. A “community Note” was attached to the post that said simply that “Pre-war, 20 million barrels passed through the gulf each day, on average.”

So not only was it not a record, it didn’t even match the average for pre-war oil flow. Even worse, as reported by Fortune, “US Central Command said on Saturday that 17 million barrels had passed through Hormuz.” So even according to the military leadership under Trump, the oil flow was less than both average flow, and the lie that Trump told.

This is another example of the multilayered patchwork of lies by Trump and his MAGA media minions that have become routine. And when we add them to his lies about everything from the economy, to immigration, to his many tributes to himself (ballrooms, reflecting pools, triumphal arches, etc.) we end up with a compendium of concoctions that don’t come close to passing the smell test.

And yet, Trump’s cult continues to believe whatever he tells them. And his MAGA media continues to regurgitate what they know are flagrant falsehoods. But the good news is that the majority of the American people have seen through Trump’s deceptions and regularly dismiss them. Which is why his approval ratings are what are really in record territory, on the low side. November can’t come soon enough.

Fox News Reflecting Pool ‘Media Frenzy’ Story Features Trump as ‘MUSHROOM DICK MESSIAH’

The continuing saga of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. has taken a firm hold on the limited attention spans of Donald Trump and his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. They both make mentions of it nearly every day, mostly to praise Trump’s obviously inept management of the project.

In less than three weeks since Trump declared his “renovation” complete, the Reflecting Pool had devolved into a swampy mess of algae and peeling paint and coating materials. So after spending upwards of $14 million on the unnecessary undertaking, it is likely going to cost millions more to repair the damage that Trump caused. And in the meantime, Trump is blaming the problems, for which he was solely responsible, on imaginary vandals.

Making matters worse, Fox News is running stories on the Swamp Pool that make no sense at all. On an episode of Fox’s “Big Weekend Show,” They had a segment on what they called the “MEDIA OBSESSION,” over Trump’s miserable makeover. Their subtitle for the segment was “Reflection Pool Sends Far-Left Media Into a Frenzy.” And as a bonus, the video included a picture of a protester with a sign that read “”MUSHROOM DICK MESSIAH.”

No one with a rational perspective of Trump’s reoccupation of the White House will argue with the sentiment on the protester’s sign. However, everything else in the Fox News story was preposterous.

It is Trump who has been obsessed with the Reflection Pool and his “mutilization” (his word) of it. He has been bringing out a giant poster of the Pool during press avails, on totally unrelated matters, that show that the length of the Pool is greater than the height of several tall buildings. To which a sane observer would ask, “So what?” But he apparently thinks it’s important enough to interrupt discussions of everything from his illegal war against Iran (that he’s losing), to the state of the U.S. economy (that’s he’s wrecking).

In addition to putting the Pool con job front and center at every public event Trump attends, he is posting about it relentlessly on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. Among the comments he posted are baseless claims that vandals sabotaged the Pool, for which he doesn’t bother to provide any evidence. Bear in mind that there are dozens of cameras all around the Pool, so if there was any vandalism, there would be ample proof of it.

In another comment Trump asked “who would do such a thing? SICK, DERANGED PEOPLE!” And with a curious question mark also seemed to be asking “We will fix it?” And he also announced that “Many additional people have been arrested having to do with the disgraceful Vandalism of our beautiful Reflecting Pool.” Once again, there is zero evidence of that. But that hasn’t deterred Trump from threatening many years in prison for the mythical miscreants.

If anyone is truly interested in apprehending and punishing the person(s) responsible for defiling the Reflecting Pool, here is a tip: He currently resides and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., although he spends quite a bit of time at a fancy resort in Palm Beach, Florida called Mar-a-Lago. Let’s see if the authorities can track down this malignant, anti-American perpetrator.

Trump’s ability to screw up anything that he is involved with is boundless. He even managed to turn his UFC cage match on the White House lawn into a debacle of epic proportions.

The latest catastrophe on Trump’s playlist is his so-called “renovation” of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C. He spent upwards of $14 million on it, and in less than two weeks it has devolved into a swampy mess of algae and peeling paint.

True to form, Trump is genetically incapable of taking responsibility for anything. So he is trying desperately to blame this blunder on anyone else. This led to his manufacturing a claim that it was vandals – you know, “radical left lunatics” – who endeavored to destroy the perfect beautification effort that he had personally forged. He even said that the U.S. Park Police had arrested multiple suspected vandals, although there is no evidence of that.

In support of Trump’s contrived accusations, his U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro, has announced that she is pursuing criminal charges against the imaginary vandals. And she is beginning with threats against a member of the media who dared to report on Trump’s Swamp Pool. Pirro was interviewed by Peter Doocy of Fox News Sunday morning…

Doocy: Trump has a crime-stoppers tip for you. He says “Lightweight ABC reporter Jonathan Karl was seen sticking his hand into the Pool and trying to rip the rubber off of the surface.” Is Jonathan Karl in trouble?
Pirro: Well, it depends. Anyone who is in a position of vandalizing or attempting to vandalize the Reflecting Pool will face the criminal justice system in D.C. The president has made it a priority to make D.C. not only safe, beautiful. And there are several citations that have been handed out to individuals, and these are cases that will be prosecuted to the full extent

Of course, Karl broke no law by demonstrating how the coating that Trump had applied was peeling off. Clearly Karl was not vandalizing anything. But Pirro leaves open the possibility that he could be prosecuted.

Pirro is adamant that she will prosecute anyone who vandalizes the Reflecting Pool. Never mind that there is zero evidence of any vandalization. Which is interesting because her boss has determined that anyone who storms Congress, destroys public property, and threatens the lives of representatives, gets a pardon and maybe millions of taxpayer dollars?

So according to Pirro, the seditionists who ransacked Congress and threatened to hang Mike Pence get a pass. But nonexistent Swamp Pool vandals will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This is the brand of justice practiced by Pirro, a former Fox News host who had not worked professionally in the law for twenty years when Trump plucked her up from Fox. And Pirro’s record as U.S. Attorney has been notably awful. As reported by CNN…

“The DC US attorney’s office under Jeanine Pirro has had an unusually low win rate in trials in Washington’s federal district court this year…In its first eight criminal trials this year, the DC US attorney’s office has won only half of them — far below the national average.”

Among the cases for which Pirro failed to win convictions, or even bring to trial, was one involving a Subway sandwich “terrorist” who threw a footlong at an ICE agent. She also wasn’t able to get a Grand Jury to indict a group of Democratic veterans serving in Congress, including Senators Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin, on charges of sedition because they lawfully reminded soldiers of their sworn duty not to obey illegal orders.

The American people will be comforted knowing that during the Trump administration Swamp Pool vandals will be harshly dealt with, while violent insurrectionists will get off scot free. And the same goes for billionaires who commit fraud. And the same goes for pedophiles associated with child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, including his best friend Donald Trump.

On Saturday morning Trump was busy doing the critical presidential work of posting idiotic comments on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. They included insulting and lying about Italy’s Prime Minister, making preposterous excuses for having ruined the Reflecting Pool in D.C., and bragging about having lost the reckless and illegal war he started against Iran.

In addition to those time-wasting exercises in pettiness and ego-stroking, Trump posted a couple of polls for his cult followers to play with. Neither addressed anything that the American people regard as essential to their well being. But both were repetitions of trivialities that Trump has been obsessed with. For instance…

Trump posted one poll that asked his flock which childish nickname they preferred for the Democratic Party: “Dumocrats” or “Dumbocrats”? This has been a pressing issue with Trump for quite a while. He appears to favor “Dumocrats” because you just swap the “E” for a “U.” He is particularly concerned about the inbred ignorance of his supporters, about whom he says “Many people don’t know, or assume, that DUMB ends in ‘b.'” By “many people” you can rest assured that he means himself.

Trump posted a second poll asking whether he should add the letter “N” to the beginning of the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agency that has been harassing both immigrants and American citizens. Trump whined that “ICE has been abused by the Fake News Media at levels never seen before…Much of this hostility is caused by the Dumocrats and the Fake News.” Trump thinks that if the initials spell “NICE” that…

“…it will totally discombobulate Crooked, Dishonest, and Unpatriotic Reporters and Journalists…They won’t be able to handle it, they will go totally crazy!”

Trump is convinced that it would put an end to any criticisms. Because that worked so well when Trump tried to rename the Gulf of Mexico, the Department of Defense, and the Kennedy Center. Notice how all criticisms ceased? Neither do I.

Trump could spend his time much more productively if he posted polls on issues that really matter to the American people. How about polls asking…

  • Was the war in Iran a good idea, and has it been successful?
  • Are you satisfied with the Trump administration’s handling of the economy?
  • Do you support deporting immigrants working in agriculture, hospitality, medical care, and construction?
  • Should the United States help Ukraine against Russia’s imperialism?
  • Is universal healthcare a human right?
  • Should billionaire’s pay their fair share in taxes?
  • Do you want Trump and his “Justice” Department to stop blocking the release of the Epstein files?

These are all issues where the majority are opposed to the positions of Trump and his MAGA Republican Party. Or should I say “RATpublican” Party? After all, you just swap the “E” for “AT” And you have a much better description. Maybe I should post a poll about that.

The UFC Freedom 250 fight was sponsored by Trump’s friend and donor, Dana White, whose UFC enterprise counts Trump among its investors. And even though the UFC said that they are paying for the production, It will cost taxpayers millions of dollars in security, traffic, sanitation, and municipal costs. But don’t believe the hype that this is a “sport” that vast numbers of the American people flock to. Most of them opposed the yokel brawl-fest, including Republicans.

Confirming the popularity – or lack thereof – for this event, the ratings reported are something less than stellar. It aired only on Paramount+, who had the exclusive rights to the program, and is run by another couple of Trump’s billionaire pals, Larry and David Ellison. According to the Hollywood Reporter…

“Nielsen streaming figures show 7 million people in the U.S. watched the seven-bout UFC card. An additional 1.2 million people in Latin America tuned in.”

For the record, the previous streaming UFC fight drew an average of about 5 million viewers. So this improved on that airing. But this event was predicted to outperform prior fights by wide margins. After all, it cost $60 million to produce, and had the benefit of White House hype.

Dana White predicted it would get a “Super Bowl” audience. The Super Bowl routinely draws about 125 million viewers. So he was only off by about 118 million. And when Trump invited to him stage another event on the White House lawn, White declined saying that “I need a year to recover financially.”

Another convenient benchmark is the recent NBA Finals. Game 5 of the Finals last week averaged 24.5 million viewers, more than three times the UFC audience.

Despite the disappointing viewership, Trump was celebrating the event early Friday morning on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He posted four different comments with videos of himself at the fight. Naturally, he was making himself the center of attention, rather than the participants or the 250th anniversary of the nation.

The fact that Trump continues to brag about the failed UFC event is a perfect corollary to his bragging about the Iran war that was also a failure. No matter how badly he does at anything, he pretends it was a victory. That’s especially true with regard to Iran. And his gullible devotees have no other choice but to kneel and agree. Because that’s how cults work.

Kimmel wrapped that up by presuming what Melania Trump might be thinking: “Right now, Melania’s wondering, ‘How do I get a deal like that?'” Kimmel later consoled his audience with a reference to Trump’s unsavory relationship with his pedo-pal Jeffrey Epstein saying that…

“The one area in which the war’s been a rousing success is it did take our attention away from the Trump-Epstein files. But don’t worry, the second it is really over, we will get right back into that.”

This example of truth-telling by Kimmel is what keeps getting him him trouble with Trump and the MAGA cult in Washington. It’s what got Stephen Colbert canceled. So it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Snowflake Trump started whining about it on Truth Social and telling his “Justice” Department goons and his corrupt FCC to go after him, and also to tell ABC/Disney to fire him.

They tried that once before. It didn’t work. But failure has never been a deterrent to Trump. So Kimmel should remain vigilant, and stay strong, and remember that Trump only wins if you capitulate to him. Bullies always wither when you fight back. And no one is more withering than Trump.

Just the sort of thing that exudes the dignity and honor of the presidential residence. And Trump made certain to offer his own personal expressions of honor…

The next day Trump boarded Air Force One to jet off to France for the annual G7 summit with the leaders of the world’s wealthiest, most highly industrialized democracies. And while there he comported himself in exactly the manner that you would expect of a vulgarian with no diplomatic sensibilities whatsoever. What follows are three notable examples of how Trump embarrasses America every time he opens his mouth. And representing our nation on the world stage doesn’t seem to temper his grotesquery.

TRUMP THREATENS TO NUKE SOME NUCLEAR ARMED NATIONS
“Whoever sells them [Iran] a nuclear weapon will get nuked themselves, if they sold a nuclear weapon, only a few that could do it, they would be nuked. They wouldn’t have that country long.”
REALLY? So Trump is threatening to nuke Russia, or China, or North Korea, or maybe France? Does he think that they wouldn’t defend themselves by nuking the U.S. right back? Does he think at all?

TRUMP THANKS XI JINPING AND VLADIMIR PUTIN FOR BEING NEUTRAL
“I want to thank China and President XI. I was with him, and he stayed neutral, totally neutral, and I appreciate it. And I would want to thank Vladimir Putin. He was very neutral. They could have made it much more difficult for us.”
For the record, Iran did receive military technology, drones, and missile components from China. And Russia shared intelligence that actually helped Iran to locate and kill U.S. forces. Both countries propped up the Iranian economy by purchasing discounted Iranian oil. So thanks, from your fanboy Trump.

TRUMP DISPARAGES AMERICAN DEMOCRACY
“Nobody plays rougher than the United States. Look, our elections are totally rigged. We have rigged elections.”
So Trump currently presides over an all-Republican government with GOP majorities in Congress and the Supreme Court, but still chastises the U.S. for having “rigged” elections? Maybe he’s right. If our elections were free and fair there would be more political diversity. The Electoral College and the Senate representation is anything but fair.

Also, Trump complains about his buddy, former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, being convicted for plotting a military coup after the 2022 election. But Trump ignores his own persecution of Democrats like Gov. Gavin Newsom, Senators Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin, Adam Schiff, etc., New York Attorney General Letitia James, former FBI Director James Comey, and many more.

Also notable is a Trump post at 2:50am on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He endorsed MAGA GOP Rep. Mike Collins for the Senate in Georgia, but had little to say about Collins. However, he calls his Democratic opponent, current Sen. Jon Osoff, “Os(jerk)off.” That’s Trump always staying classy and setting a standard for America’s kids.

This Trump comment illustrates just how unfit he is for any office.He thinks he's clever with his infantile nicknames, calling Sen. Jon Osoff "Os(jerk)off." What a great role model for America's children.However, Democrats will welcome him to Georgia to campaign for Collins. Come often, Donnie.
