Scaredy Trump Cowers Behind Sean Hannity – Still Too Afraid of Non-MAGA Media and Kamala Harris

The final week of a close presidential campaign generally sees the candidates making their last pitch to attract and motivate voters and to persuade those who are undecided. They fill their schedules with opportunities to seal the deal, particularly among communities where they might be weak.

To that end, Kamala Harris gave a rousing and unifying speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday that drew 75,000 people (22,000 more than Trump’s speech there on January 6, 2021). Her speech was aimed directly at Americans who are exhausted by the chaos and discord that epitomized Donald Trump’s occupation of the White House and the years that followed.

Trump, on the other hand, held a rally at Madison Square Garden that reeked of hostility, division, and hatred for anyone that wasn’t unwaveringly worshipful and devoted to Dear Leader.

SEE THIS: DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

In recent days, Harris has granted interviews to a wide variety of media, including “The View,” “Late Night with Stephen Colbert,” Howard Stern, Univision,” “60 Minutes,” and even Fox News. As the campaign season winds down, Harris continues to make more of these sort of broadly diverse appearances before millions of people.

Meanwhile, Trump has been sequestering himself within his MAGA media bubble where he knows that he will never face any challenging questions or pesky fact-checks. (Well, almost never). And he was too chicken to debate Harris after his first whooping. Instead, Trump has been studiously avoiding any situations that he fears will be unfriendly. Which leaves Fox News, where he has appeared ten times – more than twice a week – in just the past month.

That may not be the best way to expand voter outreach, but it makes sense for someone who is utterly incapable of completing a rational thought, expressing an intelligent opinion, or avoiding humiliating gaffes. Although Trump still manages to embarrass himself, even within the hospitable confines of his Fox fortress.

For instance, on Tuesday night Trump made another visit to his Minister of Propaganda, Sean Hannity. While there he touched on several subjects that are unlikely to advance his electoral aspirations. Among them was his resolutely racist rant about rampant crime, about which he lied that…

“Our country is a crime ridden country. When they go into department stores and strip the store and our police stand out there wanting to do their job but they’re told ‘stand down. Don’t touch anybody.’ And they’re walking out with refrigerators. And they’re walking out with air-conditioners.”

First of all, crime is way down, and Trump’s dystopian tales of stripped department stores and constrained police are pure fiction. Secondly, does he really expect anyone to believe that criminals are “walking out with refrigerators”? Those must be some pretty muscular thieves.

Trump also addressed the recent uproar over a speaker at his MSG rally insulting Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” Without renouncing the remarks, or apologizing, Trump said that…

“Somebody said there was a comedian that joked about Puerto Rico or something. I have no idea who he is. Never saw him. Never heard of him. Don’t want to hear of him…You throw comedians in, you don’t vet them and go crazy. It’s nobody’s fault…and they try to make a big deal.”

This is a common Trump dodge wherein he just claims ignorance. Which for him is believable. However, this comedian was vetted and his script was reviewed and edited prior to it being loaded into the TelePrompTer. And contrary to Trump’s futile wishes, it has become a big deal, with a potentially significant impact on the election.

Trump also thought it would be a good idea to talk about the speculation that he is a Hitler loving fascist. Because what candidate wouldn’t want to keep that on the top of mind of voters? He began by telling Hannity that his father had told him to “never mention that name.” So naturally, Trump said that…

“They accuse me of being a Nazi. They accuse me of being a Hitler-type guy or a Hitler lover, and I’m not; I’m the opposite. They are the ones that are doing it. They are oppressive. This is like an oppressive machine.”

Way to rub it in, Donald. And by the way, what’s the “opposite of Hitler”? If Hitler’s “master race” rhetoric was promoting White supremacy, then is Trump a proponent of White inferiority? Does Trump have any idea what he’s even talking about?

Furthermore, when trump complains that “they” are the ones “doing it,” he’s talking about his own White House Chief of Staff (Gen. John Kelly), Defense Secretary (Gen. James Mattis), and others who worked closely with him in his administration who are the ones that branded him as a fascist who praises Hitler.

So even with his pal Hannity, on his favorite network, Trump still makes a fool of himself. But not to worry, he’s speaking to an audience that is already committed to voting for him no matter what awful things he says or does.

However, that isn’t going to be much help. Because while Harris is out in the field rounding up every vote she can, Trump is preaching to his hideously off-key choir. Which he will continue to do because he’s too afraid to face anyone – pundits or voters – who haven’t already pledged their allegiance to him.

Trump Held a ‘Press Conference’ Where He Took No Questions and Gets Fact-Checked By – Fox News?

One of the best indicators that the Donald Trump campaign has suffered yet another catastrophic collapse is the scheduling of an emergency media event to stir in some irrelevancies intended to deflect from the damage he’s done.

Donald Trump TV Set

The frantic rush to fumigate his political house drove Trump to hold what he called a “press conference” following the fiasco of his Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday. The interminably long and unbearably tedious affair was rife with the sort of demagogic White supremacism that marked the previous “America First” rally staged at MSG 85 years ago by the American Nazi Party.

SEE THIS: DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

Trump and his campaign knew that they had laid a rotten egg shortly after a featured guest speaker insulted Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” And while the campaign made a mild statement that the “joke” didn’t “reflect the views” of the campaign, Trump himself has still failed to repudiate it or apologize. And that slur only scratched the surface of the hostility that was rampant at the Garden.

Instead, Trump held a phony press conference that was nothing more than another opportunity to spew the very same repulsive rhetoric that he unloads at his cult rallies. The venue for this sham was his own Mar-a-Lago home/hotel, and he was still more than an hour late arriving. Plus, he packed the room with his supporters who were cheering on cue for everything he said.

Trump never mentioned the demeaning of Puerto Rico and the millions of Puerto Rican citizens throughout the United States. But he did launch ludicrous and baseless attacks on Kamala Harris for running a “campaign of hate” and “trying to destroy our country.” Which was pure projection on Trump’s part. What’s more, he ducked out the back way without taking a single question from the assembled reporters. Why on Earth would any journalist bother to show up for this sort of charade?

In a fit of deliberate deception Trump repeatedly referred to the MSG hate-mongering as a “love fest.” Which, ironically, is the very same way he described the deadly January 6th insurrection that that he incited.

MORE HERE: On Fox News (Again) Trump Says January 6th Was a ‘Day of Love’ and Doubles Down on Pet Eating

Fox News carried Trump’s so-called press conference without correcting any of the obvious lies he told on a variety of subjects. However, there was one thing that Fox’s Harris Faulkner felt compelled to correct…

“At the very beginning, you heard the former president talk about a stolen election. And while he may feel a certain way, the facts remain, Joe Biden was declared the winner with 51% of the vote. The states certified those results of the 2020 election, and Congress accepted those results. Now, the nation is moving toward November 5th.”

UH-OH. Faulkner just contradicted Trump about his insistence that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen” from him. That’s likely to earn her a Truth Social shoutout from him saying that “I HATE HARRIS FAULKNER AND FOX NEWS!!!” But she may have felt some pressure to make this particular correction because it’s on the same subject for which Fox News lost a $787 million defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems.

As for Faulkner’s observation that “nation is moving toward November 5th,” that’s something that the calendar makes irrefutable. But it doesn’t stop Trump or Fox News from setting up another round of election denying after the 2024 results are in. In fact, they have already started. And the spectacle of Trump continuing to rant about 2020 at this mockery of a press conference is proof of it.

For the record, when Trump completed his prepared whining, he left the room to the applause of his MAGA audience, and his campaign anthem, “YMCA.” So what exactly made this “press conference” different from his rallies?

DNC Projects the Real Message of Trump’s Anti-American MAGA-Palooza onto Madison Square Garden

As Election Day draws near, candidates generally make more concerted efforts to refine the part of their message that they want voters to focus on. For instance, Kamala Harris is currently talking more about lowering the economic burdens on middle class families, protecting reproductive freedom and access to healthcare, and preserving American democracy.

Trump Praised Hitler

Donald Trump’s campaign is also seeking to remind voters of what he regards as the most important themes to reinforce in the minds of his MAGA minions. And judging by the rally he held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, that appears to be his affinity for the neo-fascist ideals that have long been present in his raging cult rally rants.

However, Trump is increasing the intensity of his hate-speech for these final days of the campaign and, with the help of his Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, he’s making certain that his devotees don’t miss the point.

SEE THIS: HOLY CR&P! Fox News Defends Trump Wishing that He Had ‘the Kind of Generals that Hitler Had’

What Trump and his campaign strategists may not understand is that the Harris campaign is just as anxious for the voters to see the real Trump as Trump is. Which is why the Democratic Party was outside of Trump’s MSG rally projecting this message onto the arena where he was speaking: “Trump Praised Hitler.”

Indeed, it was recently revealed that Trump told his White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, that he needed the “the kind of generals that Hitler had.” Kelly went further to note that Trump himself “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

During the MSG event, Trump’s surrogates affirmed much of what was already known about Trump’s character, or lack thereof. An especially troubling example was when an alleged comedian dropped a repulsive insult aimed at fellow American citizens saying that “There is literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

The potential for harm by that “joke” was recognized by some members of the Trump team, and they tried meekly to distance themselves from it. But that’s a difficult task since it mirrors Trump’s own rhetoric wherein he said that “America is a garbage can.” The futile attempt to clean up the joke continued the next morning on Fox News…

Fox and Friends co-host Steve Doocy: This morning the mainstream media picked up on the comic’s comments, which were offensive and have been denounced by the campaign and everybody else. What went on with that?”
Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt: It was a comedian who made a joke in poor taste. Obviously it does not reflect the views of president Trump or our campaign. And I think it is sad that the media will pick up on one joke that was made by a comedian rather than the truth that was shared by the phenomenal list of speakers that we had. We had congressmen and women. We hade Sen. JD Vance. […] And the crowd, they didn’t mind. It was a diverse group of people. The joke fell flat. But the crowd was there because they know who president Trump is.

First of all, Doocy’s assertion that the comic’s comments were “denounced” is not exactly accurate. There was only a statement saying that it “did not reflect” the views of Trump or his campaign. That’s a long way from saying, for example, “That sort of hateful bigotry is intolerable and we unreservedly repudiate it.” Also, Doocy’s claim that “everybody” denounced is untrue. In fact, nobody who followed the comedian, including Trump, bothered to condemn his remarks.

Secondly, Trump’s spokeswoman, Leavitt, let the comedian off with a gentle wrist-slap, saying only that the joke was in “poor taste.” Then she complained that the media dared to report this disgustingly racist attempt at humor by an approved guest of the Trump campaign who must have known what he would say if his script was loaded into the TelePrompTer. Yet nobody sought to modify the bit, which included another joke about the comedian carving watermelons with his Black friends for Halloween.

Finally, Leavitt downplayed the whole affair because, as she noted, “the crowd didn’t mind.” So what? Of course they didn’t mind. Trump’s racism is why they love him. And it proves the one thing that Leavitt got right. That “the crowd was there because they know who president Trump is.”

Exactly! And so does the majority of the American people. And if they all get out to vote between now and November 5th, Trump will be the one put in the garbage bin of history. LFG!

Kamala Harris Nails Trump’s Fake-Tanned Hide to Project 2025: ‘His DNA is All Over It’

In the final two weeks of the 2024 presidential race, there has been much talk about the respective agendas of Vice-President Kamala Harris and convicted felon Donald Trump. A detailed rundown of the Harris agenda is available on her website. It covers the issues that Americans are most concerned about, including healthcare, taxes, reproductive freedom, the climate crisis, Social Security, the economy, and more.

Click here to Tweet this article

Kamala Harris, Donald Trump baby

Trump’s website features issues that are rooted in his dystopian view of a failing nation. His top issues include stopping what he calls the “migrant invasion,” implementing a mass deportation operation, ending inflation (which is already down 75% from its high), and a slew of – let’s say weird – initiatives such as preventing World War III, canceling electric vehicles, and keeping men out of women’s sports. In short, Trump’s agenda reeks of fear mongering and hostility toward fellow Americans.

SEE THIS: Traitor Trump Says that Americans Who Oppose Him are ‘a Bigger Enemy than China and Russia’

However, there is another source of information about what Trump would do were he to reoccupy the White House. It’s called “Project 2025,” and it is a compendium of Trump’s fondest wishes for another shot at American tyranny.

For those who need a brief refresher course on Project 2025, it is an extremist Republican platform that adopts the MAGA manifesto of reshaping the White House into an an authoritarian office that controls the rest of the federal government. It calls for eliminating Cabinet agencies, including Education and Environment; implementing severe immigration initiatives, such as building internment camps to incarcerate both legal and illegal migrants; terminating civil service staffers and replacing them with Trump loyalists; invoking voter suppression measures; repealing healthcare legislation; deregulating corporations; imposing media censorship; and more.

On Sunday morning, Kamala Harris was interviewed by Norah O’Donnell on CBS News (one of the networks that Trump wants to ban from the air). During the interview, O’Donnell raised the subject of Project 2025, with a question that inserted some distance between the Project and Trump. But Harris was prepared with a more honest account of Trump’s connection to the broadly unpopular program

O’Donnell: You know that Donald Trump has disavowed Project 2025? He says that is not his campaign plan.
Harris: As you know, I am a former prosecutor. His DNA is all over it. All over it. His running mate [JD Vance] wrote the foreword to the book of the author of Project 2025 [Heritage Foundation president, Kevin Roberts]. I believe Donald Trump’s name appears at least 300 times in Project 2025. And it is a blueprint, a detailed blueprint, that is about the danger and the detail of what Donald Trump and his allies plan if he is in the White House again.

Indeed, Project 2025 is a collection of initiatives that could have been pulled straight out of the MAGA GOP playbook. Many of it’s principle contributors are former and current Trump associates. Even so, the Project is viewed unfavorably by 57% of registered voters. Only 7% of Republicans view it favorably. So it’s no surprise that Trump has tried to disown it, saying that

“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

That’s a rather odd and unbelievable disavowal since Trump is asserting that he disagrees with the Project despite knowing nothing about it. And if he really has “no idea” who’s is behind it, it’s further proof of his mental infirmity. They all know him and profess to be doing their work on his behalf. And why the heck would he wish it luck if he finds it in part to be “absolutely ridiculous and abysmal”?

Anyone who believes that Trump really knows nothing about – and doesn’t support – Project 2025 or its authors, probably also believes that injecting bleach cures COVID, that hurricanes can be stopped with nukes, that windmills cause cancer, that Haitians are eating people’s pets, and that January 6th was “a day of love.”. It requires being deeply indoctrinated into the Trump cult to buy any of this nonsense. And the only remedy for that is massive doses of voting by those not infected between now and November 5th. LFG!

While 2 Big Newspapers Quash Kamala Harris Endorsements, Another Kisses Trump’s…Let’s Say Ring

The role of the media during the 2024 presidential election has not exactly earned the honor that the fourth estate deems itself worthy of. It spent much of this campaign season demeaning President Biden prior to his passing the torch to his Vice-President, Kamala Harris. Following Harris’ entry into the race, many in the mainstream press held her to ridiculously higher standards than they did Donald Trump.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Newspapers, Baby, Hate

As CNN’s Van Jones said, “He gets to be lawless, she has to be flawless.” There was little distinction made between Harris, a candidate who has stellar credentials (Attorney General of the largest state in the union, United States Senator, and Vice-President), and Trump, whose resume reeks of personal and professional depravity (a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, financial fraudster, pathological liar, and mentally infirm). What’s more, Trump despises the media and openly threatens its existence.

SEE THIS: Tyrant Trump Demands ALL TV News Licenses Be Revoked and Kamala Harris Concede the Election

This week a couple of prominent newspapers lathered themselves in disgrace by announcing that they would succumb to the MAGA mob and the bullying tactics of Donald Trump by refraining from making any endorsements in the presidential race. As reported by The Guardian’s Margaret Sullivan

“The Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post have decided to sit this one out. Both major news organizations, each owned by a billionaire, announced this week that their editorial boards would not make a presidential endorsement, despite their decades-long traditions of doing so. There’s no other way to see this other than as an appalling display of cowardice and a dereliction of their public duty.”

This wasn’t a neutral decision by experienced journalists. It was the mandate from the owners after editors had already decided to endorse Harris. As a result, senior editorial staffers at both papers resigned in protest of what former WaPo editor Marty Baron called “Disturbing spinelessness.” Even worse, it’s an implied message of support for Trump who, were he to win, could bring his wrath down on the billionaire owners who both have personal fortunes dependent on government business.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the political spectrum, Rupert Murdoch’s New York Post published its endorsement of Trump, calling him the clear choice for a better future.” Which is peculiar considering that in 2022, the NYPost published a scathing rebuke of Trump with an emphasis on his abhorrent mishandling of the January 6th insurrection that he incited. That article said in part that…

  • “Trump didn’t lift a finger to stop the violence.”
  • “To his eternal shame, as appalled aides implored him to publicly call on his followers to go home, he instead further fanned the flames.”
  • “His only focus was to find any means — damn the consequences — to block the peaceful transfer of power.”
  • “Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.”

So only two years after declaring that Trump is “unworthy” to reoccupy the White House, the NYPost is now endorsing him as “the clear choice”? That’s quite a reversal. And that’s why Trump was so happy to post on his failing Twitter ripoff, “I LOVE THE NEW YORK POST. GREAT ELECTION COVERAGE. THANKS FOR THE WONDERFUL ENDORSEMENT!!!” Which is also peculiar considering that Trump has previously posted harsh condemnations of the NYPost…

  • Saying that “Since the New York Post went ‘bad’ on TRUMP, there [sic] numbers have fallen, tremendously. Great, people are tired of hearing Fake News. It used to be sooo good, but not anymore!”
  • And asking “Has anybody noticed how badly the New York Post is doing since going anti-Trump? A beautiful thing to see!”
  • And asserting that “Andy McCarthy, legal pundit of the dying New York Post, who will do anything Rupert Murdoch…tell him to do.”

This is just more proof that Trump is a cognitive mess who can’t recall what his prior lies were, or who his current enemies are. He just unloads whatever crawls into his corroding cranial cavity, knowing that his cult disciples will believe anything he says, even he’s contradicting what he said the day (or the minute) before.

It’s that psychosis that the press is repeatedly failing to report to the American people who need to have this information before they vote. So shame on the L.A. Times and the Washington Post. Their decision to spike the Harris endorsements is not just bad journalism, it’s dangerously unpatriotic.

GOP Leaders in Congress are OUTRAGED at Kamala Harris (But Not Trump) for Talking About Fascism

The unprecedented cowardice of Republicans in Congress has been among the most disappointing developments of the Era of Donald Trump. Despite the fact that many of them righteously condemned Trump during and immediately after the January 6th insurrection that he incited, most have relapsed into the catatonic state of worship that is mandated by cult leaders.

Click here to Tweet this article

Kamala Harris, Donald Trump baby

The blindly obsequious members of America’s Legislative branch of government include its GOP leaders Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House, and Mitch McConnel, Republican minority leader in the Senate. They are the standard bearers of the Republican Party’s far-right MAGA wing who have managed to achieve new records of incompetence at their respective jobs.

SEE THIS: DO-NOTHING CONGRESS? The Republican House of Representatives is the Least Productive Ever

Now these extraordinarily inept so-called “leaders” have sent out a furious press release expressing their seething displeasure at recent remarks by Vice-President Kamala Harris. She was asked by a reporter whether she agreed with some of Trump’s former White House staffers that he is a fascist, and she replied in the affirmative. That triggered the missive by Johnson and McConnell (whom we shall henceforth refer to collectively as “JoMac”) calling on Harris to “End The Dangerous Rhetoric.” It said in part that…

“[Harris] has only fanned the flames beneath a boiling cauldron of political animus. Her most recent and most reckless invocations of the darkest evil of the 20th century seem to dare it to boil over. […]

“Vice President Harris may want the American people to entrust her with the sacred duty of executive authority. But first, she must abandon the base and irresponsible rhetoric that endangers both American lives and institutions. […]

“And we call on the Vice President to take these threats seriously, stop escalating the threat environment.”

So JoMac are accusing Harris, in flamboyantly colorful terms, of having “fanned the flames beneath a boiling cauldron of political animus.” Never mind that it was actually a group of close Trump associates who were minding the political crock pot. They include Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, his Defense Secretary, Gen. James Mattis, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley. All of these respected military officers who were appointed by Trump now agree that he is a fascist. And they oughta know.

What’s more, the position that Trump is a dangerous, aspiring dictator is shared by Trump’s former National Security Advisor, John Bolton, another one of his Defense Secretaries, Mark Esper, and more than 700 national security officials who have endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

JoMac went on to demand that Harris, who was merely agreeing with Trump’s people, “abandon the base and irresponsible rhetoric” and “stop escalating the threat environment.” However, JoMac never bothers to make the same request of their Dear Leader Trump. They must not have heard him say that “Joe Biden and the fascists that control him are a threat to democracy.” Or that “Every time the Radical Left Democrats, Marxists, Communists, and Fascists indict me, I consider it a GREAT BADGE OF HONOR.” Or that “We are going to WIN BIG and take our Country back from the Radical Left Losers, Fascists, and Communists.”

JoMac neglected to mention the countless times Trump has referred to Harris as a “communist, Marxist, fascist.” CNN documented a few of those attacks that took place recently. Such as Trump saying that “She’s a Marxist, communist, fascist, socialist” at an Arizona rally. Or that “This is a radical-left, Marxist, communist, fascist,” which Trump said at a news conference. Or that “We have a fascist person running who’s incompetent,” which Trump told his glassy-eyed rally-goers at a Virginia campaign stop.

JoMac also must have missed it when Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, said that Trump might be “America’s Hitler.” Which is a sentiment that millions of Americans share. According to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll, “Nearly half of Americans say they view former President Trump as a fascist.” That includes “46 percent of independents and 12 percent of Republicans.”

All in all, there is an astonishingly strong consensus, across a broad range of Americans, that Trump is a threat to democracy, with authoritarian aspirations, who must never be permitted to hold any office of power again. But JoMac are incapable of seeing this reality. They are as indoctrinated into the Trump cult as the rubes who attend his rallies wearing desecrated flag fashions.

HOLY CR&P! Fox News Defends Trump Wishing that He Had ‘the Kind of Generals that Hitler Had’

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump have been frighteningly apparent for years. From his earliest forays into political affairs he has been extraordinarily shameless about expressing his dreams of dictatorship. It’s a yearning that gnaws at him when what he believes should be his right to unchecked power is obstructed by technicalities – like the Constitution.

Click here to Tweet this article

Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler

Trump’s open embrace of autocracy is evident in his idolization of tyrants such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un. His admiration and envy of these thugs is not something that he hides. He even told his pal, Sean Hannity of Fox News, that he would “be a dictator on day one” of his administration if given the opportunity.

SEE THIS: Trump Cloddishly Dodges Hannity’s Softball Questions About Whether He Would Be a Dictator

With just two weeks remaining before Election Day, a new report about Trump’s imperious inclinations has surfaced. It might be considered an “October Surprise,” were it not for the fact that it isn’t the least bit surprising. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t still nauseating.

Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, Gen. John Kelly, has revealed that Trump frequently spoke of his admiration for Adolf Hitler. He told colleagues that “I need the kind of generals that Hitler had.” And when asked for confirmation, Kelly said that…

“Certainly the former president is in the far-right area, he’s certainly an authoritarian, admires people who are dictators — he has said that. So he certainly falls into the general definition of fascist, for sure.”

These are the kinds of remarks that would have sunk a presidential candidate in years past. But Trump is not so much a politician as he is a cult leader. And cult followers have an unshakeable devotion to their leader. Which is especially disturbing when the followers are also hosts of propaganda programs on alleged “news” networks.

On Wednesday morning, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends addressed the comments made by Gen. Kelly. And true to form, they endeavored to defend Trump’s affinity for Hitler and craving for his own Nazi regime. Co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to recast the comments of Trump’s former National Security Advisor, H.R. McMaster, into a justification (video below), saying that…

“He talked about how [Defense Secretary Gen. Jim] Mattis and Kelly didn’t like the president. And they didn’t think he deserved the job, or they didn’t think he was worthy of the job and they went out of his way to make sure a lot of the things that he asked them to do, that they didn’t like, never got done. McMaster would be frustrated. Because he couldn’t get their attention, and he would say “it’s not your job to rein in the president. it’s your job to do what the president wants.”

Let’s stop there for a moment to notice that Kilmeade’s tale of what McMaster thought or said is pure conjecture on Kilmeade’s part. Both Mattis and Kelly thought well enough of Trump to accept his appointments to serve in his administration. If they later had reservations about some of the unlawful requests Trump made, it was not to “rein in the president,” but to honor their oath, which is to the Constitution, not the man. It is not their job “to do what the president wants,” but to adhere to the law. But Kilmeade wasn’t through. In continuing, he employed his clairvoyant powers to speculate as to what Trump might have been thinking…

“He obviously has frustration. And I can absolutely see him going, ‘now you know what, it would be great to have German generals that actually do what we ask them to do.’ Knowing that’s a third – maybe not fully being cognizant of the third rail of German generals who were Nazis and whatever.”

To be sure, Trump was likely frustrated by not having the totalitarian powers that he craved. So Kilmeade was tolerant enough to excuse his hankering for “German generals” who do what they’re told. Never mind that it was the threat of execution that enforced such obedience. Even worse, Kilmeade dismissed Trump’s desire to command unquestioning officers as merely his ignorance that Nazis were actually the bad guys.

Kilmeade also didn’t bother to mention that Kelly’s opinions about Trump’s fascist tendencies are shared by his military and national security colleagues, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, his former Defense Secretary, Mark Esper, and his former National Security Advisor, John Bolton. Plus more than 700 national security officials have endorse Kamala Harris for president, calling her a candidate who “defends America’s democratic ideals,” and blasting Trump as “unfit to serve.”

This is typical of how Fox News makes excuses for Trump no matter how repulsive his behavior, or how dangerous the consequences. They are even there to whitewash his embrace of fascism and Hitler. Which makes Fox News no better than Trump or the Nazis that he seeks to emulate. That should be more than sufficient to motivate patriotic Americans to vote in historically large numbers for Harris. And to that end, be sure to vote and get everyone you know to vote as well. This is up to all of us now.

Tim Walz Schools Jon Stewart on Why Liz and Dick Cheney Supporting Kamala Harris is Important

There is an old saying about how “politics makes for strange bedfellows.” But despite this adage being older than Donald Trump’s bone spurs, many people are still surprised by unusual alliances among politicians with divergent views.

Click here to Tweet this article

Jon Stewart, Donald Trump

This is particularly evident in the newly congenial relationship between Vice-President Kamala Harris and former congresswoman Liz Cheney. The Cheney family has long been associated with with the farthest right wing of the Republican Party. And Harris is the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party that ultra conservatives regard as socialist. Never mind that that characterization is absurd in the extreme. It is one that Trump and the MAGA GOP have attached themselves to in desperation.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Anti-American ‘Enemies From Within’ Comment was ‘Speaking From the Heart’ per JD Vance

On Monday night, Harris’ running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, was interviewed by Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show.” And Stewart asked Walz to comment on why Harris has been celebrating the endorsements from Liz Cheney (who has more to say about this here) and her father Dick. It is an entertaining and informational exchange…

Stewart: The Cheney thing… Do we really have to do that?
Walz: Look, It goes broader than that. Bernie Sanders, Dick Cheney, Taylor Swift. Having the Cheneys on board…
Stewart: No, no, no. You can’t Dick Cheney or Taylor Swift. No!
Walz: We’re a big tent.
Stewart: What country did Taylor Swift get us to invade?
Walz: Don’t you think though that – and I do this, I believe this – There is still a core group of folks out there, your point being the Reagan piece of this; the Libertarian piece; the constitutional piece – There are a lot of people out there. I think Liz Cheney and Dick Cheney give permission to those folks who want to find a reason to do the right thing, It doesn’t mean they agree with us. We’re not going to take their foreign policy decisions and discussions and implement those.
Stewart: Promise?
Walz: Yes, promise.

Stewart was right to wonder how Harris and Walz can unite with icons of the American uber-right. But Walz answered the question brilliantly. This isn’t about a unity of ideologies. It’s about patriots who put their country over their party. It’s about Americans who revere the principles laid out in the Constitution. It’s about opposing the blatant authoritarianism and hateful divisiveness that is the foundation of Trumpism.

Having the courage and integrity to stand together to reject the anti-American, racist, power mad, ambitions of Trump is a sign of honor and strength. After all, Trump is a convicted felon, and adjudicated rapist, and serial adulterer, and financial fraudster, and pathological liar, and shameless ignoramous, and malignant narcissist. Opposing all of that is the only possible position for rational people to take.

It does not mean that they necessarily agree on specific issues. It just means that they agree that the long term preservation of the country is more important than partisanship. And if Republicans like the Cheneys can stand with Harris, then so can millions of other Republicans and Independents who see Trump for the repulsive, vulgar, mentally infirm, con man that he is. They will not be alone.

There are good reasons why almost none of Trump’s Cabinet officials support him now. His White House Chief of Staff (Gen. Kelly), his Secretary of State (Tillerson), his Defense Secretary (Esper), his Attorney General (Sessions), his Director of National Security (Bolton), his personal attorney (Cohen), and so many more of the people who know him best say that he must not be returned to any position of power. His Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Mark Milley, said that he is “the most dangerous man in America,” and “fascist to the core.” And no GOP president or vice-president, or candidates for those offices (except Sarah Palin), support him.

Walz gave an outstanding impression of himself and the Harris campaign that he represents. Unlike Trump and Vance, Walz was smart, funny, likeable, informative, and not the least bit weird. Trump is too scared, and/or exhausted, to appear on programs like “The Daily Show.” He has been limiting himself exclusively to MAGA-friendly venues. And even those appearances have been mostly marked by his embarrassing and incoherent rambling.

With only two weeks left until Election Day, the noxious harangues from Trump and his surrogates is only going to get worse. But don’t let that discourage you. Make sure that you vote, and get everyone you know to vote as well. Early and mail-in voting is already available in many states. In the meantime, here is Monday night’s monolog from Jon Stewart for inspiration…

Trump’s Anti-American ‘Enemies From Within’ Comment was ‘Speaking From the Heart’ per JD Vance

Every liar has a tell. And Donald Trump is no exception. For those interested in the secret indicator that reveals when Trump is engaging in blatant bullshittery, look for this unfailing signal that he sends every time he is deliberately deceitful: Are his lips moving? That’s all the experienced truth-seeker needs to know to spot when Trump is spinning yarns.

Donald Trump, JD Vance, Dr. Evil, Mini-Me

As Election Day draws nearer, Trump is unloading ever more flagrant falsehoods whose distance from reality is growing exponentially by the hour. His desperation is driving him to concoct increasingly bizarre tales intended to invoke fear among his glassy-eyed cult disciples. In Trump’s most recent rants there are more murderous migrants, more conniving communists, and all manner of monsters lurking in every shadow. Most of whom he says are fellow citizens who dare to disagree with him.

On Fox News Monday morning, Trump’s running mate, JD Vance, was interviewed by Bill Hemmer. And the discussion addressed some recent comments Trump made about Americans who he has deemed “the enemy from within.” According to Trump, these are not clandestine figures who have embedded themselves in our communities waiting to pounce. Nope. They are his political foes who can be our family, friends, neighbors, and even elected representatives.

Trump told Fox News’ Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, that these imaginary scoundrels “should be easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.” So Trump is now promising to use the U.S. military against American citizens who don’t support him. This emerging threat sparked the following exchange on Fox between Vance and Hemmer…

Hemmer: He’s asked about this ‘enemies within’ comment. And I’ve read all of it. I’ve listened to all of it. It’s hard for me to know what he really means about it. But that’s not my question. My question is ‘Why is that necessary’?
Vance: Well, first of all, Donald Trump is unfiltered. I think it’s one of the reasons the campaign has gone well is because he’s not doing a basic campaign strategy. He’s not just running on slogans. When people ask him questions he speaks from the heart. And sometimes that means he’s gonna talk about issues that the mainstream media isn’t focused on.

So according to Vance, maligning fellow American citizens – even those serving in elected offices – as “enemies” is okay because it comes from Trump’s alleged heart? Never mind that there is no rational way to justify the accusation. It’s purely a derogatory and childish insult that has long been a core defect evident in Trump’s severe personality disorder. And that’s from the heart, as well as documented by psychiatric health professionals, including his niece, Mary Trump.

Vance says that Trump “isn’t running on slogans.” You mean like “enemies from within,” “build the wall,” “drill, baby, drill,” “lock her up,” “make America great again,” etc. And Vance defends Trump by claiming that he is “unfiltered.” That’s a fault, not a virtue, for civic leaders who ought to have refined diplomatic skills in order to be effective.

However, Trump’s unfiltered state has provided some grotesque examples of his rancid mindset that makes him utterly unfit to serve in any office. Such as, just this week, his calling Kamala Harris a “sh*t” Vice-President, and his fixation on Arnold Palmer’s junk, and that January 6th was a “day of beauty and love.” Do we really want a leader who is that unfiltered?

Vance never actually answered Hemmer’s question about why it would be necessary for Trump to use such preposterously provocative language. He just offered his obsequious defense and asserted that Trump was right to say these things because they are from his heart. Which, in its own way, is informative and useful. Because, if for no other reason, it tells us something about the sickly condition of Trump’s heart.

On Fox News (Again) Trump Says January 6th Was a ‘Day of Love’ and Doubles Down on Pet Eating

The depths of the derangement of Donald Trump is almost to severe to measure. And as each day brings the election closer to its conclusion, Trump seems to be venturing farther out on the limb of sanity. In recent days he has resorted to rambling discourses on the size of Arnold Palmer’s manhood, and profane insults directed at his opponent, Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump

Given the bizarre content of his rancid rants, it is hardly surprising that he constrains his public appearances to exclusively MAGA-friendly media where he knows that he won’t face any humiliating situations such as those pesky fact-checks. To that end, cowardly Trump has visited Fox News nine times in just the past month. That’s about twice a week. Within that same time frame he has declined bookings with everyone from 60 Minutes to the NRA. Which is not the best way to expand voter outreach beyond those who are already locked in.

SEE THIS: Scaredy Trump Has Retreated to the Safety of His Fox News Bunker While Canceling Other Media

On Sunday morning Trump made another appearance on Fox News. This time with their alleged media correspondent, Howard Kurtz. This interview produced nothing more than any of the others with sycophants like Sean Hannity and Maria Bartiromo. Although Kurtz did ask a couple of questions that were marginally more challenging for Trump. The problem is that Trump still failed to give rational replies. For instance, on the subject of the deadly January 6th insurrection that he incited…

Kurtz: The other day you called it a “day of love.” And it sparked a lot of reaction with given that many police officers were attacked, and there were mobs shouting “hang Mike Pence.” Can you understand why many Americans would view it as a dark and tragic day in our history?
Trump: The crowd I spoke before, which you rarely see, was the biggest crowd I’ve ever spoke to. and I’ve spoken to the biggest crowds. I’ve never seen that many people…A small group went down to the Capitol. They came because they though it was a rigged election. This was a protest against a rigged election…And there was a beauty to it and a love to it that I’ve never seen before.

Notice that Trump ignored the question asking if he could “understand why many Americans would view it as a dark and tragic day.” Since Trump is incapable of understanding much of anything, he detoured to his self-absorbed obsession with crowd size. Never mind that his claims on that are flagrantly false. It was his way of segueing to a defense of the insurrectionists who he said was “a small number.”

Actually, there were several thousand, of which more than 1,200 were arrested, and over 800 of those have already been convicted. Over 700 of them pleaded guilty. These are people that Trump has called “patriots” and “warriors,” and whom he has pledged to pardon if reelected.

Trump’s response never even mentioned the 140 police officers who were hospitalized, or the threat to his own vice-president, Mike Pence. But he did offer his opinion that this horrific day had, in his warped view “a beauty to it and a love to it.” I’m sure that Jeffrey Dahmer thought the same thing about his activities.

Kurtz also asked Trump about his claims that Haitian migrants were eating cats and dogs in Springfield, Ohio. Trump managed to double down on the ridiculous and thoroughly debunked allegation, while simultaneously admitting that he doesn’t know anything about it.

Kurtz: You said you were just reporting what had been said, But why not say now ‘Look, that turned out not to be true…
Trump: [Interrupting] I don’t know if it’s true or not true.
Kurtz: You don’t know? It’s been debunked by local officials.
Trump: What about the goose, the geese? What about the geese? What happened there? They were all missing. I have no idea. I said something.
Kurtz: There was one goose…
Trump: [Interrupting] Howie, I have no idea. I said something. […] But that’s a story that was reported. And I said that, but why don’t you go after the newspaper that wrote it? Don’t don’t, – don’t blame me.
Kurtz: Well, I think it’s been debunked by local officials.
Trump: I don’t think it’s been debunked at all. I think nobody talks about it, except you.

So Trump said several times the he has “no idea” what he’s talking about. Which is something that impartial observers have noticed for years. But even after acknowledging that ignorance, he isn’t swayed from insisting that his wild and hurtful accusations are correct.

Trump thinks that because something was reported by any nutcase with zero proof or credibility, that he is entitled to repeat it for his cult disciples, even after it has been determined to be utterly false. That’s the state of dementia that has overtaken both Trump and his cult. And voters need to make an unambiguous statement between now and November 5th that we are not falling for it.
