In the aftermath of one of histories most devastating electoral disasters, the architects of it appear to remain oblivious as to why it came about. Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican Party lost both houses of Congress and several critical governorships on their way to Lame Duck Ville for the remainder of Trump’s occupation of the White House.

There are a variety of contributing factors to this GOP fiasco. All of which center around Trump and his abysmal mismanagement of the nation. Particularly, according to most surveys, his imposition of inflationary tariffs, his militarization of American streets, his brazen corruption, and his launching of a reckless and illegal war against Iran. Although, Trump has other ideas about who was at fault.

On Thursday morning Trump’s daughter-in-lawlessness and Fox News propaganda princess, Lara, was asked about the midterm MAGA meltdown. And to no one’s surprise, she had only praise for her Sugardaddy-in-law. She wandered somewhat off topic to bring up Trump’s devotion to his misadventures in Iran.

“He’s also said ‘I would do it again. And I think you had to give pResident Trump a lot of credit. He knew that this would be politically disadvantageous for him. That this was a political loser for him, and he did it anyway because he though to would be in the best interest of the safety and security of the Amrican people.”

Okay, fine. We’ll give Trump 1,500% (his math) of the credit for invading Iran and killing thousands of innocent civilians, for no discernible purpose after ripping up an agreement with which they were in full compliance.

More to the point, Lara is just plain full of it when she claims that Trump knew that “this was a political loser for him.” From the very start Trump believed that the war would only last a week or two, and that he would be showered in glory, in addition to raking in billions of dollars by stealing Iran’s oil.

As with virtually everything that Trump does, the only interests he has are for himself and his billionaire cronies. He has made the U.S. and the world less safe, while plunging much of it into economic decline. And he still has no exit strategy after eight months.

This, of course, was a major factor in the losses that flushed so many Republicans out of Congress. But don’t expect Trump or any of his sycophantic and complicit comrades to admit it. He is congenitally incapable of taking responsibility. And naturally the same is true for his official Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News.

The good news is that the audience for Fox’s disinformation is dwindling as quickly as Trump’s approval ratings are sinking.
