The continuing saga of Donald Trump and his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, has just posted a new chapter of corruption and criminality. The website that Trump launched after he was banned from Twitter for inciting violence has been a financial fiasco from its inception.

On Wednesday morning it was reported that a federal lawsuit has been filed against Trump to halt a creative new method of fleecing his flock and extorting funds from conflicted enterprises seeking favors from his administration. The sleazy product offering from Truth Social was a thinly veiled attempt at illegally selling access to insider information.
SEE THIS: Trump’s Scheme to Monetize Insider Trading on Truth Social is Getting Ripped By Republicans
The concept of making people pay for access to official government information that belongs to the public is profoundly corrupt. It gives the wealthy buyers market-moving data before the general public gets it. That’s the definition of insider trading. As reported by the Associated Press…
“The suit comes after his media company, Trump Media & Technology, rolled out a new subscription service earlier this month charging Wall Street firms as much as $100,000 a month to get his posts faster so they can trade off them.
“‘A president selling priority access to news he himself generates for the benefit of a private company he controls is so blatantly corrupt and unconstitutional that it would have been hard to even fathom just a few years ago,” said Seth Stern, chief of advocacy at Freedom of the Press Foundation, a plaintiff in the case along with news outlet The Intercept.'”
A comment by Truth Social tried to dismiss the complaint by claiming that selling such access is common in the media business. That’s true. However, other media companies are selling access to the work product of their own journalists. Trump is selling access to what he is doing himself. And it’s not just him. Other senior government officials are also part of the product, including Vice-President JD Vance, FBI Director Kash Patel, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy.
What Trump is doing is analogous to a quarterback selling his game plans to gamblers so that they can place bets on the game. Except with Trump it’s not a game. It includes national security information. Wall Street brokers are more than willing to shell out for advance notice of Trump’s actions in the Strait of Hormuz. And what would stop a clandestine Iranian operative from buying the same access?
This “service” from Truth Social seems glaringly unlawful on its face. So what would cause them to offer it? It might have something to with the fact that the company is a business basket case. It’s stock is trading in single digits, a 90% collapse from it’s high mark. It is bleeding cash and users.
The company’s most recent quarterly report shows a loss of $238 million on paltry revenue of less than $2 million. What’s more, their users have declined a devastating 36% year over year. And this is the year that Trump returned to office and claims to be enjoying his best approval ratings ever.

The lawsuit challenging Trump’s new scam is well founded, and could result in the offering being prohibited. But there would still be plenty of legally suspect activity going on with Trump’s enterprise. In fact, that’s been an ongoing feature of Trump’s business practices. What follows are some examples…
YOU’RE FIRED: Trump Media’s CEO, Devin Nunes, Gets Booted From the Failing Truth Social Company
Devin Nunes, who had no relevant business experience whatsoever, proceeded to run the sham operation into the ground. He packaged it with a variety of unrelated undertakings, such as cryptocurrency, mutual funds, gambling, and even an attempt at AI that seemed to go rogue.
Trump’s Cratering Truth Social Stock Reflects the Catastrophe of Everything That Trump Does
Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. plans to issue a new cryptocurrency, which will be distributed among its shareholders. […] The coins won’t represent ownership of DJT shares, and may not be transferable or exchanged for cash.
Trump’s Scammy Media Stock, and Truth Social Parent, Completes a Classic Pump and Dump
The merger of the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) with TAE Technologies, a nuclear fusion startup. TAE’s energy products are at present speculative and they have no facilities generating any power resources. Nevertheless, the news caused TMTG’s stock to surge 33%, but two weeks later reversed course back to around $12.80. So anyone who jumped in on the news is already suffering a 25% loss.
Truth Social Disease: Ads on Trump’s Twitter Ripoff are Mostly Scams and Trump-Fluffing Merch
Advertisers are afraid of their ads being juxtaposed with hate speech and other noxious content. Consequently, the only advertisers who are willing to shell out are sketchy scammers, conspiracy theorists, and junk peddlers.
