With the conclusion of his little excursion to China, Donald Trump is returning home with little to nothing to show for the summit with Xi Jinping that he promised would be historic.

It’s not that there weren’t critical issues to negotiate and resolve. Trump might have secured agreements on anything from billions of dollars in trade deals, to the looming threat to Taiwan, to how China might help or hinder Trump’s floundering fiasco in Iran. But Trump failed to advance any of those initiatives. Although he did succeed in pounding out dozens of deranged comments on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, while he was there.

It’s difficult to imagine what Trump and his delegation hoped to achieve, considering they only planned to be there for two days. That is hardly enough time to hammer out difficult agreements, some of which have been unresolved for years. So in lieu of actually accomplishing anything real, Trump decided to post an article praising his magnificent dealmaking prowess that was supposedly published by CNN (which he calls fake news). There is is just one little thing wrong with what Trump posted.
Trump posted this image of a CNN article on Truth Social. It doesn't exist on CNN's website. The text is accurate, but edited to remove all the criticism of Trump. I guess he just really needed something to brag about since his summit in China with Xi Jinping achieved nothing.

That’s right. There is no such article on CNN’s website. The image was totally made up. No wonder Trump calls CNN fake news. He’s the one creating the fakery. While the text is in part accurate, it was also edited to remove all of the critical articles of Trump that CNN also posted. For instance, “China shows export resilience despite Trump’s tariffs and Iran war,” and “Trump not committing to Taiwan arms sale marks a win for China,” and “Trump Leaves China Short on Deliverables.” I wonder why he left those out.
The story that Trump featured was a puff piece that quoted a Chinese professor who used to be the regime’s interpreter. The photo in Trump’s post said it was his motorcade “as it leaves the hotel in Beijing on Thursday,” but was actually taken during his trip to China in 2017. And the text of the story didn’t contain a single accomplishment, despite describing the summit as “very successful,” and a “truly a historical moment.” On the basis of what?
This is all typical of Trump’s modus operandi, which is to fail pitifully, and then declare victory anyway. He’s been been declaring victory in Iran for two months, even though Iran continues to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, U.S. military remains in the region and at risk, costing a couple of billion dollars a day, and the cost of gas and other necessities has skyrocketed for American consumers.
Trump once told American voters that if they elected him they would experience so much winning that they wouldn’t be able to stand any more winning. At the time it just seemed like standard Trumpian babbling. But now that we know what his definition of “winning” is, it all makes sense.

What made this trip to China so historic was that it was the first time that an American POTUS brought a gaggle of the richest and most avaricious people at taxpayers’ expense.
These undeserving, evil scum will do ANYTHING — and I mean ANYTHING — for a free trip. Hopefully, they paid for their own “special entertainment” while they were there, but that’s unlikely.
While I’m facing homelessness as a 61 year old, permanently disabled woman, these knob slobbering ? billionaires are only concerned about not having to pay taxes.
Oh, the humanity!
