Trump chose Thanksgiving to deliver the sort of virulent greeting that is the hallmark of his notoriously hostile nature. At 2:00 AM on Thanksgiving morning Trump posted the following acrimonious comment on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social…

“Happy Thanksgiving to ALL, including the Racist & Incompetent Attorney General of New York State, Letitia ‘Peekaboo’ James, who has let Murder & Violent Crime FLOURISH, & Businesses FLEE; the Radical Left Trump Hating Judge, a ‘Psycho,’ Arthur Engoron, who Criminally Defrauded the State of New York, & ME, by purposely Valuing my Assets at a ‘tiny’ Fraction of what they are really worth in order to convict me of Fraud before even a Trial, or seeing any PROOF, & used his Politically Biased & Corrupt Campaign Finance Violator, Chief Clerk Alison Greenfield, to sit by his side on the ‘Bench’ & tell him what to do; & Crooked Joe Biden, who has WEAPONIZED his Department of Injustice against his Political Opponent, & allowed our Country to go to HELL; & all of the other Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, Democrats, & RINOS, who are seriously looking to DESTROY OUR COUNTRY. Brings a tear to the eye doesn’t it? Except they are the sort of tears generated by shoving an ice pick in your ear. For some contrast, here is President Biden’s Thanksgiving Day message…

Notice that Trump is wholly consumed by his legal troubles. Every person he attacked is associated with his current case of financial fraud in New York. And he just rattles off a bunch of infantile insults aimed at “Peekabo” James, and “Psycho” Judge Engoron, and “Crooked” Joe Biden, and in a catch-all rant, “the other Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, Democrats, & RINOS.” The attack on the court’s intern as a “Corrupt Campaign Finance Violator” is particularly pathetic and completely made up.

These are the mad ravings of a seriously deranged individual. They exhibit his manic fear and paralyzing sense of victimhood. He is providing the best reasons imaginable to prohibit him from ever being considered for any position of power. And yet, there are still sickly members of his cult who think that he’s a strong leader.

It’s just incomprehensible how that can be. Particularly on Thanksgiving Day, this is how he communicates to his glassy-eyed disciples. He really needs to be locked up in a prison psyche ward for the safety of himself and the nation – and the world. That would give us all something to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving everybody.

Crybaby Trump Whines About Media Accurately Reporting Low Attendance at His Cult Rallies

For as long as Donald Trump has been in public life he has been obsessed with exalting himself as the smartest, handsomest, bestest at everything that any human being ever attempted. It’s the hallmark of a malignant narcissist, which, ironically, is something that he actually has excelled at. He glorifies himself – as he would say – at levels never seen before.

Donald Trump Pacifier Fox

On Wednesday morning Trump took to his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, to send more love letters to himself. He posted fifty-one (51!) vainglorious comments in two hours. Every one of which extolled the magnificence that he sees in his funhouse mirror. He harbors a messianic mindset in which he is the sole savior of all mankind.

Among the comments Trump posted was one wherein he employed another skill for which he is proud: Whining! He has literally described himself as “the most fabulous whiner [because] I keep whining and whining until I win.” On this occasion his lament had to do with not being recognized as the most beloved figure in American politics. He began by complaining that…

“Many times when I’m making a Speech, which are always sold out …”

Let’s interrupt Trump here for a moment to note that none of his speeches are ever “sold out.” That’s because they cost nothing to attend. It’s much easier to get a large turnout for a free event. Then Trump continued, saying that…

“Fake News will watch people come down from the rafters (bad seats) onto the floor—nearer the stage…”

Sorry, but another interruption is necessary to note that Trump is actually conceding that his event was not sold out. If it were there would not have been any unoccupied spaces in the front for the backbenchers to move up to. He continues…

“As soon as this happens, the Lamestream Media starts taking pictures of these once fully occupied areas and seats, and then come out with a story…’Trump didn’t have a Sellout.'”

According to Trump the “bad seats” that were abandoned were quickly filled by fresh Deplorables who were waiting outside to get in. However, the pictures of Trump’s rallies with many empty seats were taken well into his speech. The only outsiders still hanging around were protesters and press.

This is typical gaslighting by Trump. He has been doing it since he blatantly lied about his poorly attended inaugural in January of 2017, which he said “was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration.” It wasn’t even close.

Undeterred by reality, Trump concluded his comment by stating that “This is a Movement like none other, and the Failing Media should get on board now.” Well, by definition it’s only the “Failing Media” that would want to “get on board.” but more to the point, Trump appears to believe that it is the media’s role to join the cult movements of wannabe dictators. He’s going to be crushed when he finds that the only followers will be his flunkies at Fox News, Newsmax, and the rest of the rightist propaganda press. And if we’re lucky, they’ll follow him right into prison.

That ought to be an easy choice. But given the media’s fixation on ratings-driven, horserace politics, and their attachment to covering trivialities such as Biden’s age, rather than Trump’s openly fascist aspirations, the decision appears to be closer than any sense of rationality – or sanity – can explain.

With Election Day still about a year away, Trump has already succeeded in turning the campaign season into a nightmarish version of a circus sideshow. When he isn’t sitting and scowling in a courtroom, he’s bellowing bombastically at one of his cult rallies. And with every unhinged outburst, Trump affirms his unfitness for office.

However, the freak show produced by Trump and his obedient flunkies in the Republican Party has only just begun. And one of the signs that the worst is yet to come is Trump’s recent souring on Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). Like everything else in Trump’s mind, it is “rigged” against him. He is upset that the party is continuing to hold primary debates – all of which he has chickened out of – when he believes that they should just crown him the “King of the GOP,” despite the fact that not a single vote has yet been cast.

In this swirling political chaos, former Trump advisor Steve Bannon chatted with the MyPillow huckster, Mike Lindell, and posed what he thought was a serious question…

Bannon: Would you volunteer to take over the RNC if the president so asked you?
Lindell: A hundred percent I would. Then I would have all the tools I need to secure these elections immediately. We’ve already got everything in place. We just need resources and their blessing behind us. Absolutely.”

REALLY? Lindell has been insisting for years that he has irrefutable proof that the 2020 election was rife with fraud. He has promised to reveal his proof several times, but for some reason has never done so. And this election-denying, conspiracy crackpot thinks that he would be a reasonable chairperson of the Republican Party? That is a patently absurd notion.

Although, in comparison to the current state of the GOP, it’s not as absurd as it might seem. The RNC is already a full-on farce. Last year they announced that they had withdrawn from the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), which has organized the general election debates since 1987. They accused it of being biased and prohibited any GOP candidates from participating in CPD debates.

There are good reasons for Trump to decline these debates. He will not participate in any event that he doesn’t control or isn’t run by a certified Trump-fluffer. He knows that he would just humiliate himself were he to do so. His ravings are becoming more and more bizarre and unintelligible.

In just the past few weeks Trump has suggested that top American generals should be executed. He proposed mass deportations of migrants and refugees. He promises to build concentration camps for his political opponents. He accuses the media of treason. He even called for the termination of the Constitution. And then there are these cringeworthy clues of cognitive collapse…

  • Trump thinks that he ran against Obama in 2020.
  • Trump said that North Korea has 1.4 billion people. That’s China.
  • Trump praised Viktor Orbán as the leader of Turkey. He’s the leader of Hungary.
  • Trump wrongly said that Hungary shares a border with Russia.
  • Trump warned that Biden would lead the country into World War II.
  • Trump boasted that he was the first person to notice that U.S. spells “us.”
  • Trump repeatedly stated that purchasing bread requires a photo ID

With evidence of psychological disfunction like that, no rational person would vote for Trump. Although he did get the approval of his doctor, an osteopath who isn’t qualified to perform physical examinations. Trump released a suspiciously vague note from his “doctor” that declares that he is in “excellent” health. Most suspicious are the claims that he has “reduced his weight,” has an “improved diet,” and engages in “daily physical activity.” Yeah, right. Recall that Trump’s last doctor’s note was written by Trump himself.

Considering all of the above, how could it hurt to have Lindell chair the RNC? Can we really say that McDaniel is any better? At least it would be entertaining, if you’re into horror stories.

Ever since Republicans assumed their razor thin majority in the House of Representatives, they have tried to defame Biden as a mastermind of corruption and/or a flailing incompetent. But for some reason their preposterous characterizations of him as a flailing mastermind of corrupt incompetence don’t seem to be sticking. Perhaps that’s because they have zero evidence of any wrongdoing and are utterly incapable of advancing their ludicrous allegations.

FOR INSTANCE: GOP Oversight Chair Spins Litany of Lies Alleging Biden Financial ‘Scandal’ that Doesn’t Exist

Consequently, Fox News is scraping the bottom of the barrel for new bullpucky to throw at Biden. They are now seeking to reprise long ago debunked conspiracy theories that failed to do any damage to Biden when they were originally offered up as outrage fodder for the feeble-minded MAGA cult. On Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria Bartiromo,” the Trump-fluffing host asked her guest, Republican Rep. Brad Wenstrup, a question that reeks of the bile that Bartiromo is so well known for…

Bartiromo: Is there a chance that China released this virus on America intentionally? Disrupt the country. Get Donald Trump out. Get your man in there, Joe Biden. And they cover it up.
Wenstrup: Well they certainly didn’t try to protect America, did they? So whether it was intentional or accidental, they seemed to be aware of it. And as I recall – and I could be wrong on this – President Xi was telling Donald Trump everything’s okay. And Donald Trump was repeating everything that President Xi said. Now Democrats call president Trump a liar, but it seems that he was just repeating what President Xi said and, obviously, it was more dangerous.

There’s a lot of asininity to unpack in there. Let’s begin with the fact that is beyond absurd to suggest that China created a virus that would kill more than a million of their own citizens, and tens of millions of others around the world, just so they could upset a single election in the United States. What’s more, why would they want to get rid of Trump, who had done a lot of business in China, and has been an ardent admirer of its president, Xi Jinping?

As for Wenstrup’s reply, he seems to think that it was China’s obligation to protect America from COVID, rather than the duty of Trump, the alleged American president. And Wenstrup went on to assert that Trump’s role in protecting Americans consisted solely of “repeating what President Xi said.” Which is a pretty harsh criticism of Trump that Wenstrup doesn’t seem to notice. But actually, it was worse than that. Trump effusively – and repeatedly – praised Xi for his efforts to safeguard the world from the deadly pandemic. He said that…

China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!

…and that…

[President Xi] will be successful, especially as the weather starts to warm & the virus hopefully becomes weaker, and then gone. Great discipline is taking place in China, as President Xi strongly leads what will be a very successful operation. We are working closely with China to help!”

As late as February 29, 2020, Trump was still impressed that “China seems to be making tremendous progress. Their numbers are way down.” And in his own remarks, Trump relentlessly downplayed the known dangers of the virus:

  • “We have it very much under control in this country.”
  • “It’s going to be just fine.”
  • “It’s one person coming in from China.”
  • “We’re doing a great job with it.”
  • “It’s going to have a very good ending for us.”
  • “We’re in great shape.”
  • “We have 12 cases – 11 cases, and many of them are in good shape now.”
  • “Just stay calm. It will go away.”
  • “You have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”
  • “It’s going to disappear. One day it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.”

Most of those remarks were made when Trump already knew they were lies. He revealed in tape recorded comments to Bob Woodward – for his book RAGE! – that he knew just how dangerous the virus was, saying that…

“You just breathe the air and that’s how it’s passed. And so that’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your strenuous flus. This is deadly stuff. […] I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down.”

So even if it was a Chinese plot – especially if it was a Chinese plot – it would have been the duty of American leadership to foil it. Instead, it was Trump’s negligence, incompetence, and deliberate malfeasance, that was most responsible for the spread of the pandemic in the U.S. And Trump was aided by a cowed Republican Party that obediently devoured everything their Dear Leader excreted.

Back then, as now, Fox News played its role as Trump’s Ministry of Disinformation. And then, as now, they couldn’t care less who gets hurt.

Despite Trump’s lead in the Republican primaries, he has been conducting an unconventional and patently bizarre campaign. He refuses to participate in debates because he’s too afraid of having to confront his GOP challengers in a situation that he doesn’t control. Instead, he is resuming his cult rallies that aren’t designed to expand his support, but only for his own gratification and the ego-juicing he gets from his worshipful disciples. Absent that narcissistic validation, his only public appearances would be his hallway harangues outside of the courtrooms where he tediously repeats his attacks on the justice system and the media.

Trump’s visit to Iowa this week provided additional proof of his rapidly declining mental state, as if any more were needed. His speech was mostly filled with what his fans regard as his “greatest hits,” including his relentless whining that the 2020 election was “rigged and stolen,” that America is “going to hell,” that only he can save it, and that President Biden is old – a whole three years older than Trump, but much healthier.

However, Trump’s language is creeping more closely to that of his authoritarian heroes (Putin, Kim, etc.) every day. And the resemblances to the fascist doctrines that shape his political aspirations are impossible to ignore. For instance, in Iowa, as well as on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social, Trump performed his best Hitler impersonation, raging that…

“2024 is our final battle. With you at my side, we will demolish the Deep State, we will expel the warmongers from our government, we will drive out the globalists, we will cast out the Communists, Marxists, and Fascists, we will throw off the sick political class that hates our Country, we will rout the Fake News Media, we will evict Joe Biden from the White House, and we will FINISH THE JOB ONCE AND FOR ALL!”

Take a moment to digest how desperately deranged and consumed by hate Trump is here. He is fear mongering about a “final battle” wherein he will “FINISH THE JOB ONCE AND FOR ALL!” Sounds a bit like a “final solution” doesn’t it? And his rant includes threats to “demolish,” “expel,” “drive out,” “cast out,” “throw off,” “rout,” and “evict” his legions of enemies who include “the Deep State,” “warmongers,” “globalists,” “Communists,” “Marxists,” “Fascists,” “the sick political class,” “Fake News Media,” and of course his arch nemesis, Joe Biden. And those are just the positive parts of his 2024 agenda.

Trump is running a campaign composed of dystopian nightmares of “retribution” (his word) that are clearly keeping him awake at night. But he has nothing positive or hopeful to offer to the country. It’s all grossly depressing and drenched with dread and the Nazi flotsam he favors.

The record is clear, vote for Trump, a 78 year old megalomaniac who has abused power, assaulted women, incited a violent insurrection, stole, hoarded and disseminated classified documents, is facing 91 felony charges, and who undermined democracy and aspires to reign as a tyrant. Or vote for Biden, a senior statesman who has proven that he works for the people and loves the country and the Constitution. It really shouldn’t be a difficult choice.

HUH? Trump Claims He Wanted to Go Back to the Capitol on January 6th to ‘Stop the Problem’

It has been three years since Donald Trump decisively lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden. But he he is still whining petulantly about it and making preposterous, unsupported claims that the election was “stollen” and “rigged.” His obsession with his humiliating defeat is clearly gnawing at his humongous, yet fragile, ego. And he doesn’t intend to let it go.

Trump has repeatedly promised to reveal the “massive” and “Irrefutable” evidence of voter fraud that he has stashed away somewhere, but for three years has refused to present to either the press or the courts. Either he is withholding it for the dramatic effect of a reality TV cliffhanger or, more likely, it doesn’t exist. (Spoiler: It’s the latter).

The farcical voter fraud fiction that Trump persists in peddling to his cult followers continues to grow in both deceit and decibels. The more dishonest his blather, the louder he bellows. New permutations keep arising from the trash heap of his warped imagination. And the latest is a doozy.

Trump has long justified the violent insurrection in Washington, D.C., on January 6th, 2021, as a reasonable response by citizens outraged by the tales of voter fraud that Trump and his media mouthpieces manufactured. That “Big Lie” was so egregious that Fox News was forced to settle a defamation lawsuit for nearly a billion dollars brought by Dominion Voting Systems. And the criminal indictment currently pending against Trump in Washington includes charges related to his incitement of the riot and his neglect in restoring the peace.

Now, a book by Jonathan Karl, “Tired of Winning,” includes an interview wherein Trump offers a heretofore unheard account of what happened on January 6th. Apparently Trump believes – or wants others to believe – that he was a foiled hero. And Lordy… Karl has tapes. Trump was recorded saying that…

“If you look at the real size of that crowd, it was never reported correctly. There were – it’s the biggest crowd I’ve ever spoken in front of by far. By far. That went down to the Washington – That went back to the Washington Monument.

“I was going to [go to the Capitol] and then Secret Service said you can’t. And then by the time— I would have, and then when I get back, I saw – I wanted to go back. I was thinking about going back during the problem to stop the problem. Doing it myself. Secret Service didn’t like that idea too much.

“And I could have done that, and you know what? I would have been very well received. Don’t forget, the people that went to Washington that day, in my opinion, they went because they thought the election was rigged. That’s why they went.”

Setting aside Trump’s typical narcissistic delusions about crowd size, he is claiming that he intended to ride to the rescue of the besieged Congress and save everyone himself. Only a brain-dead, cult-indoctrinated, paste-eater could swallow that bullpucky. The evidence provided in testimony, documents, and video, shows that Trump was at the White House cheering on the rioters as they smashed their way into the Capitol, vandalized public property, and terrorized members of Congress and their staffs, in an attempt to obstruct Congress from certifying the election.

When Trump finally did record a video to ostensibly calm the crowd – nearly three hours after the assault began – he slathered his StormTrumpers with affection, telling them that he “loved” them and understood their anger. He also tweeted that “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away.”

Trump’s phony account of his heroic aspirations is pure fantasy. He supported the obstruction of Congress and the insurrectionists who engaged in it. To this day he holds those same positions. He recently promised to halt the prosecutions of the January 6th mob if he were to be reelected. And he continues to disgorge his grossly distorted versions his reality as to what took place that day.

The only way to interpret Trump’s claim that he wanted to “stop the problem” at the Capitol is to recognize what he considered the problem to be. It wasn’t that a hostile horde of his hooligans were on a frenzied, anti-democratic rampage. It was that Congress was about to certify that Biden had won the election. And in Trump’s mind he was called not to “stop the problem,” but to “Stop the Steal,” which was what his rally at the Ellipse was titled. If he really wanted to go back to the Capitol, it was only to plant a Trump flag and declare himself president-for-life.

He may be right about the latter, but he is grossly delusional about the former. Trump is a notorious coward who complains incessantly about his perceived victimhood and describes himself as “the most fabulous whiner.”

On Thursday morning Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, visited with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News to register her outrage that Trump has been subpoenaed by Hunter Biden with regard to his prosecution on gun and tax charges. According to NBC News…

“Hunter Biden asked the judge presiding over his criminal gun charge case to subpoena former President Donald Trump and top officials in his Justice Department, arguing that the investigation into him was the direct result of ‘incessant, improper, and partisan pressure’ from Trump and his allies.

The court filing also issued subpoenas to former Trump associates Bill Barr, Richard Donoghue, and Jeffrey Rosen. It stated that the charges against Hunter were a “vindictive or selective prosecution arising from an unrelenting pressure campaign beginning in the last administration, in violation of Mr. Biden’s Fifth Amendment rights under the Constitution.”

Habba adopted the typically Trumpish air of audaciousness in her response to the subpoenas. Rather than address the matter with rationality or intellect, Habba delivered an impotent challenge that she somehow thought might frighten off Hunter and his legal team. She said that…

“If they are gonna put my client [Donald Trump] on the stand to discuss Hunter Biden, I welc… Go ahead. Go ahead. No, obviously it’s ridiculous. They’re trying to intimidate, and trying to say ‘if you’re gonna attack our kid we’re gonna put you on the stand.’ For what? Saying things that we’ve seen pictures of? Checks that have come from the CCP? Drugs, videos, hookers? I mean, I’m not really sure what their angle is there, but I would advise them to get new counsel.

No, Alina. They are not putting Trump on the stand for the things you mentioned. They are calling him to account for his abuse of power, having improperly used the Justice Department to persecute Hunter and the Biden family. And it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Trump would direct his Attorney General to manufacture allegations against the Bidens and other Democrats. Trump has already declared publicly that he intends to prosecute his political foes if he is reelected.

Furthermore, none of the things that Habba rattled off would be part of any testimony requested from Trump. How could it be? He has no personal knowledge of any of those matters. And they aren’t even relevant to this case, which involves gun possession and taxes. What’s more, her list of alleged offenses includes the flagrant and already debunked lie about “Checks that have come from the CCP.”

Habba’s taunting of Hunter to call Trump to testify is absurd considering that the subpoenas have already been issued, so he needs no further prodding. But more to the point, her excitement over the prospect of Trump testifying is hilarious. When Trump testifies he will surely advance Hunter’s defense, and most likely incriminate himself further. So… Go ahead!. Go ahead!

The failure of Truth Social doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has tracked Trump’s record in business. He has left a trail of bankruptcies, closures, lawsuits, and fraud for decades. And true to form, his Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) has produced a website that is neither truthful nor social. In fact, it’s become something of a joke…

The latest dire news about Truth Social comes from a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing by the company that reveals its financial frailty. The report paints a pitiful picture of the enterprise’s prospects going forward and reveals that it has lost $31.5 million since it opened for business just two years ago.

“Since launching, former President Donald Trump‘s Truth Social and its parent company Trump Media and Technology Group took in $3.7 million in net sales, and lost tens of millions of dollars.

“The numbers are the first time that any internal financial details on the social platform have been shared publicly, and they suggest that while Trump has made Truth Social his primary social media platform, it has not been translating into meaningful revenue for the tech startup, which is owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG). […]

“The financial situation of TMTG is such that ‘TMTG’s independent registered public accounting firm has indicated that TMTG’s financial condition raises substantial doubt as to its ability to continue as a going concern,’ according to the filing.”

The filing also notes that “management has substantial doubt that TMTG will have sufficient funds to meet its liabilities,” and that “it may be difficult to raise additional funds.” That’s largely due to the breakdown of TMTG’s plan to merge with Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), a special purpose acquisition company that they hoped would lead to a listing on the stock exchange and a billion dollars in pledged investments. That deal has not only gone south – along with the pledged investments – but DWAC has been tangled up in legal probes alleging fraud and misconduct.

Furthermore, Trump’s latest financial disclosure form reveals that his 90% controlling stake in TMTG is now valued at between $5-$25 million. That’s a decline of more than 97% from the $875 million the venture was valued at when it was announced. And given the brief history of this boondoggle, he’s lucky to have that. It was a scam from the start, and Trump knew it. He even removed himself and Don Jr from the board of TMTG just weeks before subpoenas were served.

As for Trump, he was reported to own 90% of TMTG, which earned him less than $200 according to his financial disclosure. That’s hardly representative of the huge success that Trump has claimed Truth Social to be.

The report notes that the sources of the funding include the off-shore Paxum Bank, based in the Caribbean island nation, Dominica. It is notorious for “providing banking services for the pornography and sex worker industries, which makes it higher risk of engaging in money laundering and other illicit financing.”

Trump Spokesman Uses Vile Nazi Rhetoric in His Denial that Trump Used Vile Nazi Rhetoric

To anyone who thought that the hostility and hatred embodied by Donald Trump and his incarnation of the Republican Party had reached its lowest point, you don’t know Trump and the MAGA GOP. They are just getting started on their path toward the dystopian nightmare of an America that is ruled by a sociopathic, racist, lying, aspiring dictator, who is fueled by cult worship and vengeance.

Donald Trump, Adolf Hitler

This week Trump presided over another one of his traveling salvation shows wherein he babbled incoherently about his perception of himself as both an invincible strongman and an impotent victim. How he manages that dichotomy can only be explained as a severe psychosis that is driven by malignant narcissism and acute cognitive failure. But despite the obvious defects in his mental state – or because of them – he remains an imminent threat to the liberty and democracy that are the foundations of the American Dream.

Trump’s speeches are typically rife with rabid rants aimed at riling up his cult congregation. They are also generally tedious repetitions of his prior ravings. However, in the latest episode of his heinous histrionics, Trump traveled farther down the road to repressive totalitarianism than ever before, using unadulterated Hitlerian lingo to satisfy his spongy supporters. In his bellicose style, Trump bellowed his pledge that…

“We will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie, and steal, and cheat on elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and to destroy the American Dream. The real threat is not from the radical right. It’s from the radical left. And it’s growing every day. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within.”

Trump is using identical rhetoric to that used by Nazis in the 1930’s to incite their reign of terror. Hitler frequently referred to Jews and other opponents as “vermin” in order to dehumanize them and justify their slaughter. He also accused his foes of seeking to “destroy” the fatherland. Trump is doing the very same thing, and for the very same reasons. And if his speech wasn’t enough evidence of his seething contempt, he repeated it on his pitifully failing social media scam, Truth Social.

On Monday morning Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, came out in defense of Trump’s repulsive rhetoric. But his attempted rationalization only made things worse, as is often the case in Trump World. Cheung said that…

“[T]hose who try to make that ridiculous [Nazi] assertion are clearly snowflakes grasping for anything because they are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and their entire existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House.”

According to Trump’s own mouthpiece, critics of Trump’s pledge to eliminate the “vermin” who oppose him are off base with their comparisons to Hitler. And as result, they themselves are going to be “crushed” out of existence. Which is precisely what Hitler promised for his critics. And this is the defense being used to separate Trump from his Nazism? That’s like someone saying he is nothing like Hannibal Lector just because he murders people and eats them. And if you say it again he’ll kill you and eat your liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.

For good measure, Trump also posted a comment online that added to his pledge of retribution. He threatened special counsel Jack Smith (whom he derides as “deranged”), along with other Justice Department officials and “all the rest of the Radical Left Zealots and Thugs,” that they “will end up…in a Mental Institution by the time my next term as President is successfully completed.”

So those who Trump fails to “root out,” “crush,” or otherwise eliminate, will be incarcerated in asylums for the politically disobedient. This is the future that Trump and his team envision for America. And it isn’t just “snowflakes” who are imagining it. Trump is, in his own words, explicitly promising to enact these ghastly tactics if given the opportunity.

The American people better pay attention and believe Trump when he makes these horrific decrees. And his cult followers better listen as well. Because they are not going to be exempted when the time comes to demonstrate their unyielding devotion to Dear Leader. And if they are less than sufficiently worshipful, it’s off to the asylum for them too.

Trump Wants to Star in a Reality TV Version of His Trial – But He Will Regret If It Happens

The legal tribulations of Donald Trump are weighing on him heavily as the prospects of his finally being held accountable for his political and personal crime spree are too obvious for him to ignore. With each new day there is a revelation that exacerbates his fears and produces ever more unhinged reactions.

During the testimony of Trump and his criminal accomplices (Don Jr, Eric, and Ivanka) in their New York financial fraud case, America learned that the former first family was repeatedly unable to recall anything about running the business empire that they claim is evidence of their superior intellect and acumen.

What those attending the trial saw were sheepish and frightened defendants who know that they their years of getting away with cheating business associates and the government are coming to an end. Unfortunately, the rest of the country had to be satisfied with descriptions of the melodrama because video is not permitted in the courtroom.

However, Trump’s attorneys in the upcoming federal case wherein Trump is charged with election subversion have just filed a motion to waive the prohibition on cameras and allow the media to record and the report the proceedings. The motion by Trump’s remaining lawyers that haven’t been indicted or disbarred, John Lauro and Todd Blanche, assert that…

“The prosecution wishes to continue this travesty in darkness. President Trump calls for sunlight. Every person in America, and beyond, should have the opportunity to study this case firsthand and watch as, if there is a trial, President Trump exonerates himself of these baseless and politically motivated charges.” […]

“There is a high risk that proceeding behind closed doors under these circumstances would serve to further undermine confidence in the United States justice system, while continuing to prejudice President Trump’s rights.” […]

It’s true that the office of special prosecutor Jack Smith has opposed televising the trial. But not because they like darkness. They are concerned about the safety of court personnel, witnesses, and jurors. There have already been incidents of threats and assaults due to Trump’s incendiary rhetoric and intentional acts of intimidation. On the other hand, both the Democrats and the media are also lobbying for cameras in the courtroom. Those are the same parties that Trump’s lawyers accuse of wanting darkness so they can prejudice Trump’s rights.

However, Trump’s lawyers are lying in their filing when they refer to the charges against Trump as being “baseless and politically motivated.” The prosecution has already presented abundant evidence of Trump’s guilt. And there is nothing that points to any political motivations. They are also lying by characterize the trial as being “behind closed doors.” It is an open proceeding that journalists of all political persuasions are invited to attend. And like Trump himself, his attorneys are delusional when they speak of how Trump “exonerates himself.”

Trump’s attorneys are arguing that he wants TV coverage of the trial because it will allow the public to “hear all the evidence regarding an election that President Trump believes was rigged and stolen,” and that otherwise the public would have to rely on “biased, secondhand accounts coming from the Biden Administration and its media allies.”

First of all, this trial is not a forum for Trump to continue pushing his “Big Lie” about the 2020 election being “rigged and stolen.” That has been tried more than 60 times and found to have no merit whatsoever. This trial is about establishing Trump’s role in undermining democracy, attempting to obstruct Congress from certifying the election, and engaging in a fake elector scam.

Secondly, the media coverage of the trial is just as likely to come from the “biased, secondhand accounts” of MAGA media outlets like Fox News, Newsmax, and certainly Trump himself via his failing Truth Social scam website. As for “accounts coming from the Biden Administration,” it has thus far been completely silent about Trump’s four indictments on 91 felony charges. So that allegation is simply made up by Trump’s lawyers.

The truth is that Trump is still the same reality TV game show host that he was before he ran for president. He believes that his pumpkin-hued presence on camera is sufficient to excite the adoration of everyone in the audience. However, considering the fact that he has never had an approval rating that exceeded his disapproval, and he is less popular now than ever, he is likely to be disappointed by the widespread revulsion he generates should the trial actually be televised.

The general public is not the same as the glassy-eyed cult followers that show up at his rallies. And Trump would learn that the hard way if the trial were televised. Although that is something he probably won’t have to worry about since the rules prohibiting cameras are unlikely to be changed. And that may be another explanation for Trump’s sudden appeal for “sunlight.” He knows it won’t happen, but wants credit for asking for it. He’s the one who prefers darkness and the ability to lie in the courtroom’s hallways about actually took place.
