MAGA Mike Johnson is ‘Confident’ Republicans Will Win the Midterms Because ‘This is a God Thing’

The second term of Donald Trump is proving to be an even bigger failure than the first. The economy is in decline. The nation is embroiled in another quagmire in the Middle East. But Trump and his MAGA Republican Party is honed in on the upcoming midterm elections with a set of brilliant campaign strategies that are certain to deliver a historic victory – for Democrats.

Donald Trump, Congress, Mike Johnson

Trump and the GOP are desperately afraid of their electoral prospects. So they are focusing squarely on the issues that are most popular with voters. Such as fighting a war in Iran, building vanity ballrooms, trying to rig elections by gerrymandering and suppressing voters, pardoning felons, enriching themselves through tax cuts and corruption, protecting pedophiles, and calling Democrats communists.

SEE THIS: Trump Reveals His Midterm Election Theme: ‘If The Communists Get In You’ll Never Fish Again’

The Republican’s congressional figurehead, House Squeaker MAGA Mike Johnson, is taking the lead in his party’s crusade to retain power. In pursuit of that goal Johnson appeared on “This Week on Capitol Hill,” a program on the ultra conservative Salem News Channel that is hosted by Tony Perkins, the president of the religious right-wing Family Research Council. During that interview Johnson revealed his secret weapon for winning the midterms…

Johnson: The American people can trust House Republicans, the Republican Party, to run this government. We keep delivering and we’re gonna run all the way through the tape through the end of year. And I believe for this reason that we’re gonna win the midterms. I’m very bullish about the outcome. We talk about it all the time, and with each passing day, I’m more confident.
Perkins: You repeatedly say that you exceed the expectations of the pundits. They still don’t understand the power of prayer.
Johnson: That’s right! And look, I’ve been openly saying this. And I told a big gaggle of Hill press reporters yesterday, I said listen, THIS IS A GOD THING! It really is. And we have intercessory prayers who are on the ground at the Capitol praying each of these things through.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says he grows more confident "with each passing day" that the GOP will retain control of Congress. Why? "This is a God thing. We have intercessory prayers who are on the ground at the Capitol praying."

Right Wing Watch (@rightwingwatch.bsky.social) 2026-07-27T15:58:31.154Z

Johnson seemed to be leading with some comedy by asserting that “the American people can trust House Republicans…to run this government.” He has presided over the least productive Congress in modern history. Even with majorities in the House and Senate, they passed almost nothing of significance. Which left wannabe dictator Trump to rule by executive orders, many of which were struck down in court.

More troubling is Johnson’s reliance on The Almighty for his election protection. What is making him confident of victory are his “intercessory prayers” lobbying God directly for votes. Johnson has stumbled onto a fantastic strategy for electoral success: Pray to win. Let’s pray he relies on it.

Although, if prayer works the way that Johnson claims, why hasn’t it stopped the war in Iran, or ended homelessness, or mass shootings? Does Johnson really believe that God is taking sides in American politics, but ignoring actual human suffering? And is Johnson aware that prayer is bipartisan? Millions of Americans are praying every day for Trump to be removed from office.

What’s more, if Democrats win the midterms, does that mean that God prefers Democrats? Which would make sense since Republicans are a profoundly anti-Christian political party that violates the principles that Jesus preached: feeding the hungry, healing the sick, giving shelter to the homeless, welcoming refugees, etc.

Democrats will be encouraged by statements like this from Johnson. While they are out on the campaign trail, talking with and listening to voters, Republicans will be in the House chapel praying (whining?) for God to find them a few more votes and deliver them from the evil of a Democratic agenda that actually helps people, rather than just catering to corporations and the wealthy. Something tells me that Johnson’s confidence may be misplaced.

WHUT? John Fetterman Tells Fox News He Doesn’t Understand Why He’s So Popular With Republicans

Politicians quite often are not the most self-aware individuals in American society. They frequently are driven by ego and self-interest, which results in them distorting reality (aka lying) or simply failing to grasp what is obvious to everyone else.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Fox News, Fake News

Sen. John Fetterman (PA-FOX) is a prime example of someone suffering from this unique type of OCD (Oblivious Complicit Disorder). Although he was elected as a progressive Democrat, he has transitioned to a new role as a reliable Republican enabler who seems to cherish his service as a traitorous MAGA flunky. Which goes to prove that you can’t always count on opportunistic pols being predictable. For instance…

SEE THIS: Trump Himself Confirms that He is the Most Deviant Lawbreaker in Presidential History

On Saturday Fetterman took up his post on Fox News, where he has become as regular as their paid contributors. He was interviewed by Donald Trump’s daughter-in-lawlessness, Lara Trump, who really has no business being employed by an alleged news network. Just imagine the outcry if CNN had hired Hunter Biden as a host while his father was in the White House.

In the interview Lara prefaced her question by noting that Fetterman has been supportive of Trump with regard to strikes on Iran and voter ID. Of course he has. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been invited to be interviewed. Then she lobs a softball, asking him what he hears from his constituents. Fetterman replies that most of what he hears is positive, then elaborates…

“I’ve seen polling where why I’m so popular with Republicans. I don’t really understand that. But I’m always gonna treat both sides with respect. We can agree on what we can, or we’re gonna disagree in a respectful way. And I’m not gonna call people like ‘You’re a Nazi, you’re a fascist, or you’re trying to destroy democracy,’ and use those things.”

It’s hard to believe that Fetterman really doesn’t understand why he is popular with Republicans. Perhaps it has something to do with his appearing on Fox News at least twice a week to bash Democrats and stick up for Trump. If he really doesn’t understand why that would make him popular with Republicans, then he is too mentally impaired to serve in Congress.

Fetterman went on to take a rational sounding position about disagreeing with others without being disagreeable. And he insists that he wouldn’t resort to calling his political foes names. But if he actually feels that way, why would he appear on Fox News where they regularly call Democrats terrorists and communists who are out to destroy America? Doesn’t he realize that he is validating that vile rhetoric?

It’s hard to know what happened to Fetterman. He started out as a reasonable liberal representative. Then he had a stroke, followed by struggles with severe clinical depression and anxiety. Democrats came to his defense when Republicans began portraying him as cognitively disabled. But he nevertheless has embraced his GOP attackers. And of course, given his new right-wing opinions, they no longer attack him. In fact, they are trying to persuade him to switch parties.

There is no mystery as to where this is headed. Fetterman will be primaried and lose the Democratic nomination for reelection. Hopefully his Democratic successor will win the seat in 2028. In the meantime Democrats will have to endure his betrayal. While he still claims to be a Democrat who votes more often with his party, he is doing more harm than good by cozying up to Fox News.

What’s more, Fetterman seems to enjoy dangling the possibility of party switching over the heads of his Democratic colleagues. He has become this year’s Kyrsten Sinema or Joe Manchin. But his time in that role will be brief. And Democrats will just have to win a large enough majority in November to cancel out his contrarian votes.

Did Trump Write His WHCA Speech? That Would Explain Why It Was So Awful! Even He Thought So

On Friday night the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner took place in Washington, DC. It was a scaled down affair that was only held to prove that a violent protestor couldn’t shape the course of political discourse in America.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Mocking Disability

Much of the event was dedicated to its primary purpose, which is to raise money for charity and to give awards for excellence in journalism and advocacy of free speech and the Constitution’s Fist Amendment. It served those purposes admirably. Then, unfortunately, it went on to feature an address by Donald Trump, who despises the Constitution and especially the First Amendment. He proceeded to make a fool of himself, and by extension, America, for which he has a renowned talent. Particularly with regard to the media.

SEE THIS: Herr Trump Threatens to Muzzle the Free Press in His Unhinged Infomercial for Voter Suppression

Trump spoke at length about his vanity ballroom. He bragged about supposedly coining the term “Dumocrat.” And naturally, he exalted himself as the only important person in the room, or the country, saying that “When I’m not around, you’re gonna be broke. There’s not gonna be anybody to report on. Nobody gives a damn about anybody else.” That’s why there is a picture of Trump in the dictionary under “Malignant Narcissism (see psychopath).”

The WHCA Dinner is known for featuring humorous speakers, including the president. But Trump was struggling from start. After getting no laughs for a line about a Senator’s wife who told him “‘I want to have you immediately come up the stairs and make love to me.’ And he said, ‘I can’t do both,'” Trump complained “That was actually the only thing I thought was good in this whole frickin’ stupid speech that they wrote.”

Shortly thereafter he asked “Does anybody understand this stuff?” At another point Trump set up an insult/joke about Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (who he called the governor of Chicago) and Rep. Jerry Nadler, saying that they were “fighting for a big fat piece of cheesecake.” When no one laughed at that he asked “Who the hell wrote that line?”

By every indication, it seems that Trump wrote that line, and most of the rest of the speech that even he thought was bombing. It was comprised of rehashed insults that Trump has been disgorging for years. And the targets of his trash-talk were the same people he has been repeatedly maligning at his MAGA rallies to the thrills of his cult disciples. There was little if anything new. What follows are some of the retreads he laid out Friday night for the journalists who have heard it all at least 100 times.

“Before I came along, if you wanted to see someone lose consciousness on the South Lawn of the White House, all you had to do is ask Joe Biden a question.”

“I can exclusively reveal to you this evening that for the heaviest of the heavyweights, we will have sloppy Chris Christie.”

“We had a contest for who had the lowest ratings and the lowest IQ on television. And that was actually Don Lemon.”

“What about Bruce Springsteen? What the hell happened to that guy? He looks like hell…I don’t look so bad…The tour has been renamed Bored in the USA.

“This year the association decided not to have a comedian, so they considered using Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon. These guys, they’re terrible. They’re terrible. Stephen Colbert. These are people without talent…They’re not funny people. They’re angry people. They’re sick people.”

“They thought about going with a professional clown for entertainment, but Adam Shifty Schiff was not available…He’s a liar. And I called him Watermelon Head.”

“Then I’m told that even Rosie O’Donnell reached out from Ireland…she’s one of the greatest sufferers of Trump derangements.”

“I want to personally congratulate CNN’s Kaitlyn Collins on receiving her award. It was all about me. It’s a fake. She shouldn’t get the award. It was a fake…But she’s a young, attractive woman. She never smiles…I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can. It was Dylan Mulvaney.”

“I’m very disappointed they didn’t bring Fake Tapper.”

“I was disappointed that Gavin Newsom didn’t show up…He’s incapable of reading a speech. He’s a low-IQ person.”

“Ilhan Omar, one of my favorites, and her brother are thinking about moving together…she’s a low IQ person, and she’s also a very dishonest person, and she ought to get the hell out of our country.”

“We invited Elizabeth Pocahontas, Warren. She’s referred to Pocahontas.”

“I wanted to make sure that Jack Smith, deranged Jack Smith…this guy was a deranged lunatic.”

“Chuck Schumer, cryin’ Chuck…he’s a proud, very proud Palestinian.”

“In Texas the Democrats are running a candidate named James Talefreako [Talarico], who hates guns, hates oil, hates sex, hates women, and who said he is a Christian who hates Christianity.”

And remember, those are supposed to be jokes. Trump was scheduled to speak for 40 minutes, but true to form, he went on tediously for more than an hour. Aside from the above attempts at “humor,” Trump’s speech was jampacked with incoherent rambling and nonsensical lies. In other words, it was exactly like every other speech Trump has given in the past ten years. And even he thought it sucked.

HUH? Stable Genius Trump Threatens to Tariff Mexico for its Lettuce and Canada for its Smoke

In the midst of an economic downturn that has most Americans struggling to afford basic necessities such as gas, groceries, healthcare, housing, etc., the current occupier of the White House, Donald Trump, is working diligently to make things even worse.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Insane, Straight Jacket

Typically, Trump is demonstrating that he couldn’t care less about the hardships that are burdening the American people. But he is also ignoring the harm he’s causing to the electoral prospects of his Republican confederates, whose looming defeats will contribute to his becoming the lamest of ducks for the last two years of his term.

SEE THIS: LOL: Trump Posts Democratic Governor’s Memo Proving He ‘Has Zero Credibility on Election Security’

So how is Trump responding to the economic crises that he faces as the midterm elections approach? He’s persisting with, and even escalating, his reckless, illegal, and expensive war against Iran. And on top of that, he’s threatening America’s allies with expanding his inflationary tariffs, which will result in even higher prices for American consumers.

On Friday morning Trump announced that he is increasing tariffs on our Europe Union trading partners, supposedly because they levied fines on American technology companies for violations of EU laws. That’s a profoundly stupid way to react to the judicial rulings by foreign courts against private corporations. But it wasn’t the stupidest thing that Trump did Friday morning. Have a listen to the following exchange with Peter Doocy of Fox News…

Doocy: There’s a nasty parasite that is giving people in nine states explosive diarrhea. When is it gonna be safe to eat lettuce again.
Trump: I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it. First time I’ve been asked that question. Are you eating a lot of lettuce recently?
Doocy: There’s this food coming in, I guess from Mexico. It’s tainted. It’s making a lot of people sick. That is the CDC’s terminology.
Trump: I think what it is, we’re gonna put a major tariff on Mexico because of the lettuce, and we’re gonna put a big tariff on Canada because of the smoke.

Q: When is it going to be safe to eat lettuce again?Trump: I don't know. I haven't thought about it. There's this, there's this food coming in, I guess. From Mexico. We're gonna put a major tariff on Mexico because of the lettuce, and we're gonna put a big tariff on Canada because of the smoke.

Headquarters (@headquartersnews.bsky.social) 2026-07-24T19:47:42.284Z

Let’s break down this episode of Trumpian trash-talk, beginning with his admission that, before this, he has never thought about the health crisis that is sickening thousands of Americans, and when it might be resolved. That should bring comfort to a nation reeling with anxiety about what is safe to eat for themselves and their families.

More troubling is when he does get around to addressing his solution to the problem, it is a kneejerk, all-purpose proposal to slap tariffs on the “offending” country. Where Trump gets the idea that a tariff will result in untainted produce is anyone’s guess. It will just make all produce more expensive in the U.S.

Making matters worse is Trump’s threat to add more tariffs to Canada. He seems to think that making everything that the U.S. imports from Canada more expensive is a good way to put an end to wildfires and the nefarious actions by those evil, anti-American global wind patterns.

So Trump is punishing America’s top trading partners for ridiculous reasons that lean more toward satisfying his bruised ego, than resolving real problems. What’s next? Will Trump slap tariffs on France for not awarding him the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival? Will he tariff McDonalds for making him fat? Will he tariff Blue States for not voting for him? Oh wait…he already did that, sort of…

Trump’s Scheme to Monetize Insider Trading on Truth Social is Getting Ripped By Republicans

America’s Grifter-In-Chief, Donald Trump, has an impressive ability to stay firmly focused on unique, albeit illegal, methods of enriching himself at all times. Some reports reveal that he has already earned billions in just his second occupation of the White House. Trump has proven that, no matter what other pressing issues might arise, he cannot be distracted from his prime directive of personal wealth creation.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Trump Baby on Cash Pile

That’s right. It is practically impossible to divert Trump from his purposeful greed even when facing catastrophes such as wars with Middle East terrorists, or domestic economic crises that financially burden the nation’s populace, or rogue immigration thugs harassing and even killing innocent people, or threats to public health, or pedophiles running free to victimize more children. And complying with the law is a formality that he feels free to ignore.

SEE THIS: Trump Himself Confirms that He is the Most Deviant Lawbreaker in Presidential History

Last week Trump’s dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, introduced a new fangled way of depositing dollars into his bank accounts. They announced that well-heeled investors and financial institutions would be able to buy “fastest access” to the market moving comments that Trump posts on his Twitter ripoff. That way they can profit by trading on this insider information before it is available to the general public. These Wall Street traders and investment firms would pony up as much as $100,000 a month to Trump for this privilege.

Scams like this are necessary for Truth Social since it is such an abysmal failure whose stock has suffered a 90% decline from its high mark. However, there has been some notable blowback on this new and blatantly unethical, if not outright illegal, project. According to Bloomberg News

“Senators in both parties are questioning a plan by President Donald Trump’s media company to sell real-time access to Truth Social posts to Wall Street firms.

“The sharpest criticisms have come from Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, who on Tuesday blasted the move as ‘the exact definition of insider trading.’ But even within the president’s own party, several key senators raised concerns about the propriety of the move.”

Republicans who are nervous about Trump’s most recent venture into criminality are beginning to speak out about it. Here’s what some of them are saying…

  • Chuck Grassley: “If it’s got anything to do with insider trading, it would be illegal.”
  • Thom Tillis: Trump could be “wading into a gray area.”
  • Lisa Murkowski: “I hope he’s not thinking about that.”
  • John Thune: “My assumption is that will get tested somewhere.”

These are not particularly bold pronouncements of support for law and order. But for Republicans it’s probably the best we can get. If we’re lucky they will summon up the courage to hold Trump accountable and force him to obey they law. If not, Democrats will do it by themselves after they take control of Congress following the midterm elections.

This new scam by Trump isn’t happening in a vacuum. His Truth Social has been skimming the borders of impropriety since it was first conceived. What follows are some examples…

YOU’RE FIRED: Trump Media’s CEO, Devin Nunes, Gets Booted From the Failing Truth Social Company
Devin Nunes, who had no relevant business experience whatsoever, proceeded to run the sham operation into the ground. He packaged it with a variety of unrelated undertakings, such as cryptocurrency, mutual funds, gambling, and even an attempt at AI that seemed to go rogue.

Trump’s Cratering Truth Social Stock Reflects the Catastrophe of Everything That Trump Does
Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. plans to issue a new cryptocurrency, which will be distributed among its shareholders. […] The coins won’t represent ownership of DJT shares, and may not be transferable or exchanged for cash.

Trump’s Scammy Media Stock, and Truth Social Parent, Completes a Classic Pump and Dump
The merger of the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) with TAE Technologies, a nuclear fusion startup. TAE’s energy products are at present speculative and they have no facilities generating any power resources. Nevertheless, the news caused TMTG’s stock to surge 33%, but two weeks later reversed course back to around $12.80. So anyone who jumped in on the news is already suffering a 25% loss.

Trump Media (Truth Social) Falls to Its Lowest Point Ever – And So Does Donald Trump
Reflecting the animus that Trump inspires in America, his scam business venture, Trump Media and Technology Group, is suffering its worst week since it went public a year and a half ago. It has lost a whopping 80% of its asset value since then.

The Trump Media and Technology Group (Truth Social) Scam Reflects His Fondness for Fraud
During an interview on CNBC, Trump complained that he has been treated “very badly” by banks that he alleged were discriminating against him. Of course that might be because of the 34 felony convictions he has for defrauding banks. Not to mention a civil lawsuit finding of liability that cost him about half a billion dollars.

Trump Crime Syndicate: Investors Arrested for Insider Trading in Failing Truth Social Scam
Trump’s associates in his truthless, anti-social media venture were arrested and charged with insider trading. Reports indicate that “the three individuals together made more than $22 million in illegal profits.”

LOL: Trump Posts Democratic Governor’s Memo Proving He ‘Has Zero Credibility on Election Security’

The midterm election is just a little more than three months away. And the closer it gets, the more riddled with anxiety Donald Trump and his MAGA-tists become. Trump’s approval ratings continue to be dragged down by his reckless and illegal war against Iran, his mismanagement of the domestic economy, and his overall distasteful demeanor that is comprised mostly of his noxious hatred and relentless lying.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

Trump’s response to his persistent and spreading unpopularity has been to focus his attention on a subject that he seems to think is uppermost on the minds of the American people: Alleged election fraud in 2020. It’s a strategy that is simultaneously outdated, while actually being aimed at rigging future elections, which his White House minions are boldly admitting in public.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Homeland Security Honcho Threatens to Arrest and Imprison Disobedient Election Officials

On Tuesday night Trump was engaged in what he appears to believe are the essential duties of an American president: Shit-posting on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. He unloaded more than thirty rants before noon on Wednesday. They were all teetering on the brink of sanity, while serving no purpose other than to exalt himself.

In one particular comment, Trump reposted a memo from New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill regarding a technical glitch in the state’s voter registration system. In her memo, Gov. Sherrill disclosed that a software error resulted in some non-citizens mistakenly being added to the state’s voter registration rolls. There was no nefarious plot by Democrats or evil foreigners, or any deliberate intent to deceive. It was clearly not a case of election fraud by any rational standard. The mistaken registrations were recorded for Democrats, Republicans, and Unaffiliated voters.

What’s more, fewer then 6% of the errors – 0.009% of all voters – resulted in invalid votes mistakenly cast. No election outcomes were affected. And on top of all of that, Trump’s “Save America Act” (aka Voter Suppression Act) would not have prevented any of it. Nevertheless, Trump declared that it was “Rigged Elections!!!” at the top of his post.

What’s funny is that the memo that Trump posted also had some decidedly negative assessments of Trump’s own disingenuous and self-serving efforts to interfere with the conduct of free and fair elections. Gov. Sherrill wrote that…

“As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans’ faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn’t accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level.”

That’s a damn good summary of Trump’s un-American, anti-constitutional, scheming to accomplish what he has been falsely accusing Democrats of doing. And in a subsequent comment Trump actually made the case against his Voter Suppression bill. That comment attempted to counter the valid arguments that his Voter Suppression bill would place too big a burden on legitimate voters. It proposed providing free access to “birth certificates, citizenship-marked IDs, mobile units in rural areas, digital options, and assistance for elderly/disabled.”

However, none of those things are in Trump’s bill. So that post is, in effect, conceding that Trump’s bill actually does pose unacceptable burdens for legitimate voters. And combined with the fact that it doesn’t prevent invalid voters, there is no other conclusion than that Trump’s bill should be rejected.

America needs more voter participation, not less. And Trump needs to STFU until he has some verifiable evidence that to support his complaints. Which he hasn’t been able to provide for over six years now.

Trump In His Own Words: To Make Military Decisions ‘All We Do is Read the Fake News’ – REALLY?

Living in the Era of Trump has burdened the American people with the depressing dilemma of having to awaken each morning wondering whether Donald Trump will say something mortifyingly stupid that day? Sadly, the answer can always be ascertained by determining whether it is a day that ends in “Y”?

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump

There are very few people left who will voluntarily defend the intellect and reason of Trump. And most of those who will are in his embarrassingly sycophantic Cabinet, where they spend hours in televised reality show style meetings praising His MAGA-sty as if he were the Second Coming.

SEE THIS: Trump Gathers His Cabinet Members to Conduct Another Festival of Feckless Trump-Fluffing

So no one will be surprised to hear that Trump humiliated himself again during a press avail with the president of Lebanon on Tuesday morning. During that event Trump took some questions from the White House press corps that he despises, dispensing his usual abundance of idiocy. But in the following exchange he went above and beyond his customary quota of crazy.

Question: Do you believe that Iran has moved nuclear centrifuges into Pickaxe Mountain?
Trump: They may have. We don’t have it on record. All we do is read the fake news. You know, we see the news is so wrong so many times. So you know, maybe this one they have right. It doesn’t mean anything unless they have the material…We’ll be hitting that area probably pretty soon.

Q: Do you believe Iran has moved nuclear centrifuges into Pickaxe Mountain?TRUMP: All we do is read the fake news. Maybe this one they have right. But it's okay. It doesn't mean anything unless they have the material. We'll be hitting that area pretty soon and very heavily.

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-07-21T15:43:05.422Z

SERIOUSLY? Trump is admitting that he makes life and death military decisions that he bases wholly on what he reads in the papers. He’s not saying that he includes the media as a source for his decision making, but that “All we do is read the fake news.” So his judgments are formed solely by content that he regards as “fake” and “wrong so many times.”

The president of the United States is generally considered to be a uniquely well informed individual. He or she has access to the most advanced and comprehensive intelligence operations in the world. But Trump prefers to read newspapers and watch television (that he doesn’t believe), rather than review the product of the nation’s agencies that are responsible for compiling and validating the data necessary to protect the homeland.

If all he does is “read the fake news,” what do we need the CIA for? Or the DIA, or the FBI, or the NSA, or the DNI, or any of the other 14 intel agencies, including those in the armed services? In fact, what do we need Trump for? Clearly he has been grossly negligent. He has stated publicly that he doesn’t receive or read the Presidential Daily Briefings.

All of which explains why the nation is currently embroiled in a reckless and illegal war with Iran for which Trump has no plan for progressing or concluding. It likewise explains why we have a president who is threatening more nations, including Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, Cuba, Canada, Greenland, and Denmark.

Is that stupid? Well, coming from Trump who thinks that windmills drive whales crazy, that stealth jets are actually invisible, that we should nuke hurricanes, that George Washington’s Army took over airports, and that injecting bleach will cure COVID, it’s just more of the ravings of a man who calls himself a “stable genius.” And if the sane among us don’t manage to rein in his insanity, we are all in big trouble.

Trump FREAKS OUT Over a Democratic Proposal: ‘They Do This, and the Republican Party is DEAD!’

The desperation of Donald Trump continues to boil over as we get closer to the midterm elections in November, and Trump sinks farther down the rabid hole with record low approval ratings and no clue as to how to turn things around.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Republican, GOP

Trump’s ongoing fiasco in Iran, with the resulting tragic loss of life, for both Americans and Iranians, and the fragmenting of international diplomatic relations, is just one reason why he is floundering. He is also presiding over an abysmal economy that is pressured by rising national debt and skyrocketing costs for gas, groceries, housing, healthcare, and more.

While Trump has no one to blame but himself, he still blames everyone else, especially his Democratic predecessors, Presidents Obama and Biden, who have been out of office for years. The only way out, from Trump’s perverse perspective, is to rig the election.

SEE THIS: Trump’s Homeland Security Honcho Threatens to Arrest and Imprison Disobedient Election Officials

Another red flag alarm indicating how badly worry is gnawing at his already mushy brain, is a comment that he posted Monday on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social. Typically, it is an emotionally enraged outburst that is devoid of any coherent substance. He wrote simply that…

“They do this, and the Republican Party is DEAD!”

Trump on Truth Social: "They do this, and the Republican Party is DEAD!"www.politico.com/live-updates…Trump is afraid that positive reforms like expanding the Supreme Court, and term limits, and a code of ethics will kill the GOP?Well, that's just another great reason to do it.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-07-20T09:29:35.880Z

That petulant whine was accompanied by a link to an article about a Democratic proposal for Supreme Court reforms that was published by Politico. (Wait, aren’t they fake news?) The proposal by progressive Democrats called for expanding the number of Justices on the Supreme Court, imposing term limits, and mandating a code of ethics. It’s telling that Trump believes that those common sense reforms will kill the GOP.

That’s kind of like worrying that passing laws to prohibit extortion and murder will kill the Mafia. Of course Trump is adamantly opposed to making the Court more honest, accountable, and representative of the nation. Notably he didn’t cite anything specific about what would be killing the Republican Party. And since his MAGA-tists won’t ever read the Politico article for themselves, here’s an excerpt…

“The leaders of several prominent House Democratic caucuses are proposing a Supreme Court overhaul as well as the Senate filibuster in response to the justices’ decision to narrow the 1965 Voting Rights Act earlier this year.

“Their resolution obtained by POLITICO calls for the expansion of the Supreme Court and to establish term limits and a code of ethics for justices. It also calls for the elimination of the 60-vote filibuster in the Senate.”

Scary, isn’t it? Trump failed to mention that the Democrats also proposed terminating the filibuster in the Senate. Perhaps because Trump has been pushing for that for months. He also left out that the article said that “the resolution stands virtually no chance of adoption.” That may or may not be true, but it would definitely be an uphill battle.

Trump leaves things like that out precisely because it’s his intention to stir up fear. So he has to make his MAGA cultists believe that it’s imminent. Although he may be working against himself with the warning about killing the Republican Party. Because that would just be another great reason to do it. It would likely drive millions of voters to the polls who would be thrilled to see that outcome. So go for it Donny. Your strategy here would give a fantastic lift politically – for Democrats!

REALLY? Fox News is DUMBFOUNDED that Iran is Able to Fight Back After Trump ‘Obliterated’ Them

The degree of cognitive dysfunction in victims of brainwashing is measurable by how steadfastly they adhere to ideas that are demonstrably untrue and remain committed to obvious falsehoods no matter how much evidence of the truth they are exposed to. It’s a deplorable state of mental impairment that produces near zombie-like wretches desperately searching for brains.

Fox News, Maria Bartiromo, Donald Trump

There is no better example of this than the pathetic disciples of Donald Trump’s MAGA movement who have willingly abandoned all reliance on reality. These MAGApathic sufferers have instead adopted a blind faith in their Dear Leader to the exclusion of all reason. And this isn’t just about weak-minded citizens. Some members of the media are just as susceptible. And those who don’t comply are targeted for punishment

SEE THIS: Herr Trump Threatens to Muzzle the Free Press in His Unhinged Infomercial for Voter Suppression

Atop the list of MAGA media compliers is Trump’s own Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News. And the Senior Trump-fluffer on Fox is Maria Bartiromo. On Sunday morning Bartiromo provided an outstanding example of cult devotion in a segment wherein she interviewed former Trump staffer Victoria Coates, who is currently with the ultra right-wing Heritage Foundation. The subject was Trump’s reckless and illegal war against Iran where two more American soldiers were just reported killed.

Bartiromo: CENTCOM says that there will be outsized reaction in retaliation. But I don’t understand how it’s possible that Iran has the capabilities to fight this way and continue to try to lash out at Gulf countries and military bases. Because the U.S. has obliterated Iran’s military and the president continues to reiterate that.
Coates: Yes. And it you look at the numbers of missiles that they have been able to fire off from the beginning of this, late February early March, and what they are able to do now, it is very seriously degraded…I think their capabilities are lessened, but they’re not zero.

Consistent with cult programming, Bartiromo’s commentary displays her inability to process reality. The poor thing can’t understand how Iran can continue to fight since Dear Leader Trump has assured her that he has “obliterated” Iran’s military. What never crosses her mind is that the reason that Iran is able to continue fighting is because Trump is lying.

The fact that Iran persists in the battles, controls, in part, the Strait of Hormuz, and stubbornly refuses to accept Trump’s “peace” proposals, should convince a rational person that Trump’s assessments of the situation are – in technical terms – bullshit!

Bartiromo just mindlessly accepts whatever Trump tells her. And without even a hint of doubt she states, not as a Trump assertion, but as a fact, that “the U.S. has obliterated Iran’s military.” And her guest agrees. Although she seems to recognize that Iran’s defensive capabilities still exist to some degree, she doesn’t put up much of a counter argument to Bartiromo’s misperceptions.

So of course Bartiromo can’t understand. She is dumbfounded (with a B). Because anything that challengers her perception of Trump as infallible is inconceivable. The prime directive of a cult is that the Leader is never wrong, and everyone else is lying to you. And Bartiromo, along with her confederates at Fox News, are not going to divert from that path.

Trump’s Homeland Security Honcho Threatens to Arrest and Imprison Disobedient Election Officials

The authoritarian aspirations of Donald Trump have been well documented. He began by inciting a violent insurrection on January 6, 2021, to retain power after losing the election. Followed by his pardoning of the seditious traitors who stormed the Capitol and assaulted police officers.

Donald Trump calls for a "Unified Reich"

In the intervening years Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his ravenous hunger for power and his disrespect for the laws, including the Constitution, that was designed deliberately to limit it. He has assembled a Washington politburo that acquiesces to his every fascistic whim. Recently Trump lashed out at the media that he refers to in Stalinist terms as “the enemy of the people,” threatening to prohibit them from reporting honestly about him.

SEE THIS: Herr Trump Threatens to Muzzle the Free Press in His Unhinged Infomercial for Voter Suppression

Stridently continuing to goosestep down this path, Trump’s newly installed secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, held a press conference wherein he delivered some of the most disturbingly fascist remarks of the Trump era. Mullin was reiterating Trump’s message from his televised infomercial for his “Save America Act” (aka Voter Suppression Act) when he responded to a question about how he would react if states declined to go along with Trump’s unconstitutional decrees. Mullin ranted that…

“If the states choose not to participate in securing the elections, we will make sure that we make those states a priority, to look at who voted in their states, and hold them – the election officials – accountable. If the election officials, once we gave them the information they need to secure their elections, and they chose not to, then those individuals can also be held accountable. By fines, by penalties, and even depending on how far it goes, prison time.”

Let’s break down that bucket of bullshittery. First of all, the Elections Clause of the Constitution (Article I, Section 4, Clause 1) mandates that “The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof.” The executive branch of the federal government has no role in it.

Therefore, neither Trump nor Mullin can “look at who voted,” or “hold election officials accountable,” whether or not they chose to comply with legally unenforceable demands by the occupant of the White House or his flunkies.

The fact that Mullin is publicly threatening election officials with severe penalties, including potentially imprisonment, is one of the clearest signs yet of Trump’s intention to undermine democracy, dismiss the results of future elections, and declare himself president for life.

The election securing measures that Mullin is referring to have no basis in the law. They would require states to turn over their voter registration rolls with data including the voters’ names, addresses, party preferences, etc. Trump says that he would use this data to identify illegally registered immigrants. But his prior attempts at this have proven to be extraordinarily unreliable. Thousands of allegedly illegal registrants were in fact naturalized citizens whose records weren’t up to date in the files that Trump used.

The result is that Trump would improperly invalidate thousands of valid voters. Which is also the purpose of his Voter Suppression Act. He knows that he can’t win a free and fair election, so he is resorting to shrinking the electorate, and intimidating the state personnel who actually make the elections free and fair.

It’s notable that Trump’s complaints about election security have been replete with allegations of interference from Russia and China. But the only people he is threatening to punish are Democrats, American election officials, and the free press. Russia and China apparently have some sort of immunity.

Trump is just so far off from any rational response to the phony election crisis that he invented that he posted the following bizarre comment on his dedicated propaganda platform, Truth Social, reiterating the nonsense that he dispensed in his Voter Suppression Act infomercial.

Who wants to tell Trump that…? The documents he released are not new.? He was president "during the 2020 election cycle."? There was no compromise of election data. Everything he refers to was publicly available.? Registering to vote is not a "nefarious activity."
