Trump Now Says that Obama Will Vote for Him – His Dementia is Getting Worse by the Minute

Such is the case with Donald Trump. He has been noticeably demented for several years. His delusions have overtaken any ability to relate to the real world. It’s what causes him to insist that windmills cause cancer, that hurricanes can be stopped by nuking them, that bleach injections cure COVID, that a few thousand people at his rallies are actually 100,000 or more, and that he is leading in all the polls.

On Friday morning Trump posted yet another bizarre claim that vividly illustrates the depth of his dementia. The comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, said that…

“Obama admits a total lack of enthusiasm for Kamala, especially with Black Men. I think Obama will be voting for me because he doesn’t like the fact that Kamala is an extremely Low IQ Person!”

There’s a surprising amount of malarkey in that deceptively brief outburst. Let’s begin with Trump’s preposterous claim that former President Barack Obama “admitted” that Black men have a “total lack of enthusiasm” for Kamala Harris. In fact, a broad majority of Black men (77%) support Harris. What Trump is grossly mangling are remarks Obama made about support by Black men not being equal to the level that he received, which was a bit higher. He merely wanted to motivate even more Black men to get behind Harris than the three quarters that already are.

Secondly, Trump’s prediction that Obama will vote for him due to his flagrantly false claim about Harris supporters, is beyond ridiculous. Just yesterday, Obama gave a rousing speech to tens of thousands of people in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in support of Harris. In what deranged fantasy world would Obama possibly even consider supporting Trump?

Finally, Trump had to tack on another of his infantile insults, calling Harris “an extremely Low IQ Person.” This is nothing new for Trump. He has been saying that about her (and every other person he doesn’t like) for months. But this time he is attributing that opinion to Obama, who obviously has an enormous amount of respect for Harris and her extraordinary abilities and intellect.

Back here on Earth, Trump is the one who is lacking the support of Black men, and women too for that matter. And if the polls are any indication, he’s falling behind Harris among many other critical voter demographics, including youth and the working class. As for intelligence, Trump can’t hope to compete with Harris, and he knows it. That’s why he has steadfastly refused to meet her in another debate after the first walloping he suffered.

So all Trump is left with is his bucket of lies and ludicrous comments like the one above. And with his cognitive functions declining rapidly, he is destined for a brutal final three weeks of this campaign. So expect him to get even worse as he realizes the desperate straits he is in. Particularly since his his post-election prospects include the distinct possibility of prison.

Tyrant Trump Demands ALL TV News Licenses Be Revoked and Kamala Harris Concede the Election

Ordinarily, a presidential candidate would conduct their campaign in a manner that would amplify his or her most appealing character traits and suppress or minimize those most likely to alienate or repulse voters. But the campaign of Donald Trump is, to say the very least, anything but ordinary.

During his short career in politics, Trump has managed to project an extraordinary variety of repulsive traits. They include his rancid prejudices (racism, misogyny, xenophobia, etc.), his pathetically infantile responses to well deserved criticism, his pitiful ignorance of life in America (government, history, law, culture, etc.), his noxious and delusional narcissism, and perhaps most troubling, his affinity for foreign dictators that mirrors his own authoritarian aspirations. Now, as Election Day draws nearer, Trump is continuing to emphasize the personality defects that repel the most people. In a series of utterly unhinged rants on his floundering Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump lashed out at the media that he despises with rhetoric that confirms his dreams of tyrannical power. It was an absurd extension of his previous outburst threatening to revoke the broadcast license of CBS for airing a 60 Minutes interview of Kamala Harris. Now he is including ALL broadcast networks. He began by bellowing…

“A giant Fake News Scam by CBS & 60 Minutes. Her REAL ANSWER WAS CRAZY, OR DUMB, so they actually REPLACED it with another answer in order to save her or, at least, make her look better. A FAKE NEWS SCAM, which is totally illegal. TAKE AWAY THE CBS LICENSE. Election Interference. She is a Moron, and the Fake News Media wants to hide that fact. An UNPRECEDENTED SCANDAL!!! The Dems got them to do this and should be forced to concede the Election? WOW!”

Needless to say, Trump has no evidence that CBS altered anything that Harris said in the interview, other than routine editing for time. Trump is manifesting figments of his severely perverse imagination. Furthermore, there would be nothing illegal about such editing if it did occur. Consequently, Trump’s demand that Harris “be forced to concede the Election.” is what psychiatrists would describe as “NUTZ!” It’s an impotent demand that Trump is making because he knows that he is losing. But he was just getting started. He continued his rant saying that…

“60 Minutes is a major part of the News Organization of CBS, which has just created the Greatest Fraud in Broadcast History. CBS should lose its license, and it should be bid out to the Highest Bidder, as should all other Broadcast Licenses, because they are just as corrupt as CBS — and maybe even WORSE!”

Once again, CBS did nothing wrong. But Trump’s “solution” to what his diseased brain is concocting is to revoke the licenses of ALL broadcast networks. Because that’s precisely what his idols (Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, etc.) would do. Never mind that networks are not licensed by the federal government, only individual stations. What Trump is proposing is, nevertheless, an open assault on the First Amendment of the Constitution and contrary to American principles. But why would Trump care about that now. He never has before. Then he wound up by saying that…

“With me, 60 Minutes does the exact opposite! They take everything I say, realize how totally BRILLIANT it is, and take it out. So, with Kamala they add, with ‘TRUMP,’ they delete. Like the Democrat Party, THEY ARE A THREAT TO DEMOCRACY!”

Once again, Trump is suffering from bizarre hallucinations. He didn’t do (aka chickened out of) the 60 Minutes interview this week, so there was nothing he said to delete, and certainly nothing that was “brilliant.” Even if he were referring to an interview from 2020, it was Trump who cut it short, walking out before it was completed. Lately he has been demanding that Lesley Stahl apologize to him for something that she never said in that interview.

What Trump is whining about in these comments should be a bright red flag for American voters. Trump is promising that, if returned to power, he would abuse it in the same way that his totalitarian heroes do. And if he would abuse power to oppress the media, he would abuse it to oppress every other institution – and even individuals – that he finds objectionable, or that are insufficiently worshipful of him.

That should be the message that Americans take into the voting booth this year. And they must vote for Harris and Walz if they want to preserve America’s free press and, even more foundational, America’s democracy.

Trump Threatens CBS Over Kamala Harris Interview on 60 Minutes He Says Was ‘Possibly Illegal’

He regularly insults journalists as “stupid,” “lying,” “corrupt,” and biased against him, simply because they report the things he actually does and says. Trump’s fear and fury at the press is a core feature of his perverse persona. He labels any reporting that isn’t sufficiently worshipful “fake news.” Even his official Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) isn’t safe from his seething animosity. And his anger extends far beyond mere insults and tantrums. He often issues impotent threats if a news network has the audacity to engage in responsible journalism. For example…

On Wednesday morning Trump was so bothered by a recent media event that he unleashed a rambling and rancid rant on his failing social media scam, Truth Social. The object of his outrage was the 60 Minutes interview of Vice-President Kamala Harris on Monday. Trump had agreed to participate at first, but later chickened out because he objected to their insistence on {gasp} fact-checking. And now, after the fact, Trump is lashing out with another lame and utterly preposterous threat. He raged that…

“I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the ‘News Division,’ which must be licensed, to make her look ‘more Presidential,’ or a least, better. It may also be a major Campaign Finance Violation.”

What Trump is whining about is that 60 Minutes edited the Harris interview, something that is done routinely in television journalism for legitimate reasons, including time constraints, clarity, and relevance. Trump’s assertion that some answers were edited “four times in a single sentence” is downright bonkers. And there is no indication whatsoever that Harris’ answers were altered to effect some political advantage. Trump’s complaint doesn’t even make sense, because he’s accusing CBS of edits that resulted in the answers being “virtually incoherent.” How would that help Harris?

Most troubling is Trump’s charge that the 60 Minutes interview was in some way “illegal.” As usual, Trump doesn’t provide any evidence of a crime, nor any statute that has been violated. He simply believes that if it bothers him it must be against the law. So he latches onto the fact that TV stations (not network “news divisions”) must be licensed to use the public airwaves. Which is his way of threatening CBS with the revocation of its license if they do not comply with his tyrannical demands.

This threat is consistent with Trump’s abhorrence of the free press. And it’s also consistent with his flaming hypocrisy. He has never complained that Fox News regularly (albeit futilely) edits his interviews to make him look better. He has never accused Newsmax of campaign finance violations for their slobbering sycophancy. And he doesn’t seem to object to the constant “sane-washing“ of his demented speeches by the rest of the so-called “mainstream” media. Which leads us to the rest of his Truth(less) (anti)Social comment…

“This is a stain on the reputation of 60 Minutes that is not recoverable – It will always remain with this once storied brand. I have never heard of such a thing being done in ‘News.’ It is the very definition of FAKE NEWS! The public is owed a MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE APOLOGY! This is an open and shut case, and must be investigated, starting today!”

The public is indeed owed an apology – from Trump. His hostility toward the press is another example of his imminent threat to democracy. And his attempts to intimidate the media are antithetical to the Constitution that he has said he would “terminate.”

If this is “an open and shut case,” why is Trump yammering about it on his website that no one but his glassy-eyed cult followers read, rather than filing a complaint with the FCC or the Justice Department? Maybe because even he knows that he’s full of **it.

Trump’s overt racism has been a hallmark of his public persona for decades. He famously placed an ad in the New York Times calling for the death penalty for five Black men who were found to be innocent. He discriminated against Black applicants at his apartment properties. He began his campaign for president in 2015 by calling immigrants rapists and murderers. He invited notorious White nationalist Nick Fuentes to dine with him at Mar-a-Lago. And more recently…

While Kamala Harris is being interviewed on a variety of television and social media programs, Trump continues to cower behind the sycophantic MAGA media fluffers who he knows will shield him from any challenging questions or humiliating fact checks.

Case in point, on Monday morning Trump did another phone-in chat from his Mar-a-Lago bunker, in his jammies. This time he spoke with right-wing radio hack, Hugh Hewitt. The entire interview was an affirmation of Trump’s ignorance, ego, and deliberate divisiveness. However, he peaked as the discussion turned to immigration, a subject that Trump eagerly assaults with flagrant falsehoods and putrid prejudice.

Trump led into his repugnant remarks with a preface attacking Kamala Harris in terms that have become a tediously routine part of his cult rallies and stump speeches. He raged that…

“She wants to go into government housing. She wants to go into government feeding. She wants to feed people. She wants to feed people governmentally. She wants she wants to go into a Communist Party-type system. When you look at the things that she proposes, they’re so far off. She has no clue.”

OMG! Harris actually wants to feed disadvantaged Americans, including children, who are struggling to overcome the price gouging of the capitalist corporations that Trump favors. What a monster! In Trump’s perverse mind Harris is therefore a {gasp} “Communist.” Why doesn’t she stick to letting her fellow citizens starve, like good MAGA Republicans would do?

Trump went on to repeat a boatload of lies about migrants that he and his crackpot confederates have been telling for several weeks. These are a particular brand of lies intended to malign and dehumanize good people who are desperate to make a better life for themselves. Trump fumed…

“How about allowing people to come to an open border, 13,000 of which were murderers, many of them murdered far more than one person, and they’re now happily living in the United States. You know, now a murderer — I believe this — it’s in their genes. And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now. You know, now a murderer, I believe this, it’s in their genes. And we’ve got a lot of bad genes in our country right now.”

If Trump is truly concerned about genes, he may want to take a look at his own genetic history. First of all, he is descended from German stock. So is he genetically aligned with Nazis? His father was a KKK member. So does that explain his own racial bigotry? Both the Nazis and the Klan are advocates of violence to achieve their ends. So is that why Trump so often incites violence himself?

The allegation that Trump is making here about immigrants and crime has been thoroughly debunked. His disinformation was drawn from a report that he said reveals shocking statistics. However, as News Corpse reported last month…

Trump, as usual, is lying. As Politico reports, “The majority of these individuals with criminal convictions were already on the non-detained docket and living in the United States before Biden took office.” The “14,000” is actually the total for a period of some 40 years. The number increased by only 5% during Biden’s term. And the increase that occurred during Trump’s term was nearly twice as much.

What’s more, according to Politico’s research, “The numbers also include nonviolent and petty crime — 126,000 are for traffic violations, while 92,000 are for immigration-related crimes (like crossing the border illegally).”

The Trump cult is propped up by the MAGA minions who fluff him in the media. Their purposeful deceptions make them even more disgraceful than the willfully ignorant, glassy-eyed disciples who habitually attend Trump rallies. And yet, Trump engages in pure projection to malign the rational Americans who prefer the democracy championed by Kamala Harris to the tyranny aspired to by Trump.

On Thursday night CNN’s Republican pundit, Scott Jennings, addressed the recent endorsement of Kamala Harris by rock superstar, Bruce Springsteen. Jennings attempted desperately to assuage his fears by trying to convince himself that Trump has the upper hand with more admired and influential celebrity supporters…

“I can’t think of anything I care about less than some moron celebrity…we’ve got Hulk Hogan, and that’s all I need.” […] Jennings said he wants to see “directionally a center right government, and I don’t give a crap what some celebrity thinks about it.”

Seriously? Jennings thinks that Springsteen – an artist with a catalog of brilliant compositions that millions relate to – is a “moron celebrity,” but that Hulk Hogan – a jock who performed in phony wrestling matches – is some sort of Rhodes Scholar? Does Jennings really believe that an endorsement by the “The Hulkster” is as valuable as one by “The Boss”?

Apparently the answer to that question is a resounding, “NO!” Because immediately after bragging about Hogan, Jennings admits that “I don’t give a crap what some celebrity thinks about it.” So that must include Hogan, right?

Republicans love to pretend that they aren’t interested in celebrity endorsements. So you have to wonder why they keep promoting them from losers like Kid Rock, Scott Baio, and Roseanne Barr. It’s a contest that they can’t hope to win when Harris has supporters like Taylor Swift, George Clooney, John Legend, and Oprah.

For the record, Springsteen’s endorsement was an eloquent and moving expression of why Harris is fundamentally superior to Trump. He touches on both Trump’s fatal flaws and Harris’ distinguished assets…

“Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime. His disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law, and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president ever again. He doesn’t understand the meaning of this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American.”

Celebrity endorsements, of course, should not be used to determine how to vote for any candidate. But they can be good reference points by creative people who have a demonstrated ability to connect with others. Their insights are appreciated specifically because they are adept at envisioning and expressing what many others see and feel. Their opinions often have just as much merit as the paid partisan “experts” who populate news programs. And in the case of Jennings, infinitely more merit.

Trump FREAKS OUT Over Jack Smith’s Documentation of His Crimes – But Doesn’t Dispute Any of It

The incompetence and ignorance of Donald Trump has been on public display for many years (decades?) now. The monumental failures in his business affairs, political pursuits, and personal life have become legendary. However, there is one area where he has been remarkably successful: Delaying legal accountability for his multitude of crimes.

Trump has already been convicted of 34 felonies. But that’s just the tip of his illegality iceberg. He still has 54 felony charges pending. And there are also the civil offenses that he has been found liable for, including financial fraud and sexual assault. There are so many legal quandaries that he has to sidestep that he sometimes loses track of his excuses and deflections…

On Wednesday the federal court in D.C. unsealed a filing by Special Counsel Jack Smith in the case involving Trump’s criminal participation in the January 6th insurrection and associated efforts to undermine democracy. The filing is a 165 page document containing damning evidence of Trump’s treasonous guilt and callous amorality.

The filing features, in part, Trump reportedly saying “So what?” after being told that Mike Pence was in danger at the Capitol; his disregard for election results, telling his daughter Ivanka that “It doesn’t matter if you won or lost the election, you still have to fight like hell;” and his staff advocating violence to prevent Joe Biden from being certified as the winner, saying to “Make them riot.”

In response to this bombshell legal brief, Trump took to his failing social media megaphone, Truth Social, to make a wholly impotent case for his innocence. There’s just one problem. He didn’t bother to actually make a case at all…

“Democrats are Weaponizing the Justice Department against me because they know I am WINNING, and they are desperate to prop up their failing Candidate, Kamala Harris. The DOJ pushed out this latest ‘hit job’ today because JD Vance humiliated Tim Walz last night in the Debate. The DOJ has become nothing more than an extension of Joe’s, and now Kamala’s, Campaign. This is egregious PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT, and should not have been released right before the Election. The Democrat Party is turning America into a Third World Country that tries to censor, harass, and intimidate their Political Opponents. What they have done to our Justice System is one of the Great, All Time, Tragedies.”

It is difficult to ignore the fact that there is nothing in that rant – or the other six posts he made on this subject – that actually claims that he’s innocent. He doesn’t even bother to dispute the factual findings in the filing. His entire defense is to just whine about alleged election interference, weaponizing government, polls, the debate, prosecutorial misconduct, and timing. All of which he manages to get completely wrong.

It is not election interference to submit legal documents in a case that has been ongoing for months. It is not weaponizing government because there is no proof of any political influence in the filing. It is preposterous to cite his debate with Kamala Harris as having anything to do with this action by the court. Likewise, it’s absurd to bring up election polls, most of which show him trailing Harris. And Trump’s allegation of prosecutorial misconduct is unsupported by any facts – or reality.

Finally, Trump’s complaint about the timing of the filing ignores the fact that the timing was all his doing. This could have been all wrapped up months ago, but for Trump seeking multiple delays that have resulted in the filing coming at this time.

The delay tactics by Trump are actually another indication of his consciousness of guilt. An innocent person would have wanted his name to be cleared as quickly as possible. But Trump knows that he’s guilty, so he has been determined to put off his inevitable convictions in the hopes of getting reelected and dispensing with the cases and/or pardoning himself.

But Trump failed to think it through. And he underestimated Smith. So now he’s crying about a variety of legally irrelevant issues that can’t possibly help him to avoid his dire future. Of course, all of this rests on Harris prevailing in November. So it’s up to the American people to turn out for the rule of law, for democracy, and for the well being of every citizen on so many other issues. LFG!

Bartiromo: We want to get your take on whether or not you’ve got confidence there in Arizona because apparently The Gateway Pundit reported that the GOP chairwoman provided an update to allegations that there’s not going to be a fair election there.
Whatley: Well, there is going to be a fair election and we’re working very, very hard with the Arizona GOP. I actually had dinner with the chairwoman last night.

That’s right. Bartiromo has embraced Jim Hoft (aka Gateway Pundit), one of the most universally disreputable conspiracy peddlers on the Internet, as a source for her alleged “news” program. And the information that she draws from Hoft is a quote that he attributes to the chair of the Arizona GOP asserting that the election is already invalidated due to fraud, a month before it has taken place.

With Bartiromo’s adoption of Hoft as a source, Fox News has fully transformed into the status of an Internet Troll Network. They don’t employ any credible journalists, so their dependency on hacks like Hoft was inevitable. But to be fair, he really is no worse than Fox regulars Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, Laura Ingraham, and the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends.

However, we can set aside Bartiromo’s guest, Whatley, disputing the charges by Hoft, and assuring Bartiromo that the election is going to be fair. Because it would be foolish to expect that view to stick. If Trump loses in November, the entirety of the GOP outrage machine, including Whatley, Trump, and everyone on Fox News, will be shouting from the rafters that the election was “rigged and stolen.” Just as they are still doing with regard to the 2020 election. In fact, Trump is already doing it. And even he isn’t satisfied with Fox…

Trump Lies

Ever since Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee for president, Trump has struggled to find a way to revamp his campaign strategy from one that focused on an elderly, white, statesman, to one that effectively challenges a younger, Black, woman, with unparalleled experience and ability.

Trump appears to have settled on the old kindergarten schoolboy gambit of insulting his opponent as “stupid.” Just wait a week or two until he calls her a “poopyhead.” It’s also notable that Trump is using the same rhetoric to malign all Americans who support Harris…

On Monday morning Trump took a pathetic potshot at Harris that was more illustrative of his own sagging psychoses. It combined his tedious tendencies to whine with his acutely bizarre perversions of reality, claiming that…

“The Democrats are interfering with my Campaign by not giving us the proper number of people within Secret Service that are necessary for Security. They’re using them for themselves, even though they don’t need them – they draw ‘flies.’ […] Hopefully the people of Wisconsin, and other areas where thousands are turned away, will realize that this is just another Democrat ploy!”

There is, of course, no truth to his assertion that Democrats have withheld Secret Service protection from him. But Trump never lets facts get in the way of his blatant propaganda. And he is once again misdirecting his own anxieties toward others. It is Trump who has the problem with drawing flies, both at his shrinking cult rallies, and surrounding himself personally, which he also believes is a plot against him…

Trump’s comment also touches on another complaint he’s had about the accurate reporting of his poorly attended rallies. In an earlier post, Trump invented a massive turnout of MAGA disciples that existed only in his twisted imagination. He said that…

“Kamala and Sleepy Joe are going out of their way to make it difficult for me to Campaign. We had one of the biggest crowds I’ve ever seen on Saturday, in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin…and we ended up having to use a 750 seat theater, having to send away more than 50,000 people. They were unable to give us Secret Service protection commensurate with the crowd.”

That’s right! Trump thinks that people will believe that 50,000 of his supporters actually showed up at a venue that holds 750, and were turned away. This rally was in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, a city with a population of 5,500, in a county of 16,100. You have to wonder where they parked. You also have to wonder if Trump deliberately chose this city, whose name translates to “Prairie of the Dog,” to entice hungry Haitian migrants to attend.

Finally, Trump posted another comment that announced his intention to travel to Valdosta, Georgia, so that he can get in the way of emergency operations to rescue and care for the victims of Hurricane Helene. Trump obviously feels that it’s more important for him to show up and throw paper towels and chicken fingers at the troubled residents of the region.

However, even in that pursuit, Trump had to resort to spouting ludicrous political allegations intended to incite further division at the expense of those who are suffering. He said that…

“We are now heading to Valdosta, Georgia…but don’t like the reports that I’m getting about the Federal Government, and the Democrat Governor of the State, going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas. MAGA!”

For the record, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp spoke with President Biden and expressed his appreciation for everything the federal government is doing to help. but telling provably false lies is how Trump thinks he will resuscitate his moribund campaign. He clearly doesn’t have any plans – or even concepts of plans – that might appeal to voters. So his entire strategy is to hurl childish insults and tell ridiculous lies.

While Trump has a faithful throng of cult devotees who adore this malarkey, the majority of the American people are repulsed by it – and by him. and if enough of then turn out on or before November 5th, Kamala Harris will hand Loser Trump another in a long line of defeats.

To be sure, immigration is an important issue. And there have been some earnest attempts to deal with it responsibly. For instance, there was a bipartisan bill that passed in the Senate that would have addressed the matter in a comprehensive way. Unfortunately, it was Trump who sabotaged the bill by coercing his MAGA confederates in the House of Representatives to kill it because it might help his Democratic challenger. And that wasn’t even the worst of his demented views on immigration…

For the past week Trump has been obsessed with a report that he said reveals shocking statistics about immigration and crime. He has posted numerous comments on his floundering social media scam, Truth Social, and referenced the statistics at his recent cult rallies. There’s just one problem: He is grossly misrepresenting the data to advance his racist views on immigrants who he regards as mostly murderers, rapists, and other manner of ne’er-do-well. Let’s examine a sample of Trump’s remarks…

“14,000 CONVICTED thugs and slimeballs who have committed MURDER have been allowed to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, and roam free to KILL AGAIN…Kamala is a FOOL to have let this happen to our beautiful USA. It is totally unjustifiable, there can be nothing worse! She should be IMPEACHED for what she as done to our Country!”

We can set aside Trump’s infantile insults of Harris and his impotent demands that she be impeached. Instead, let’s focus on his ludicrous reference to the “14,000 CONVICTED thugs and slimeballs” that he says are “roaming free” to kill. That number was drawn from a report issued by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE). Trump is flatly asserting that all of these criminal migrants entered the U.S. during the Biden-Harris administration and that they – and specifically Kamala Harris – are responsible for it.

However, Trump, as usual, is lying. As Politico reports, “The majority of these individuals with criminal convictions were already on the non-detained docket and living in the United States before Biden took office.” The “14,000” is actually the total for a period of some 40 years. The number increased by only 5% during Biden’s term. And the increase that occurred during Trump’s term was nearly twice as much.

What’s more, according to Politico’s research, “The numbers also include nonviolent and petty crime — 126,000 are for traffic violations, while 92,000 are for immigration-related crimes (like crossing the border illegally).” And whatever the actual number of violent criminals is, it would be fewer if the Senate immigration bill that Trump killed were to pass. The bill explicitly provided funding to process, and expedite deportation if necessary, migrants who committed crimes.

It goes without saying that no amount of migrant criminals released into the U.S. population is acceptable. But being realistic, there are criminals in every subset of human groups. Even native-born Americans. And as it turns out, “Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born Americans, studies find.”

The bottom line is that a tiny fraction of a percent of undocumented immigrants have been convicted of any crime. The vast majority are harvesting our food, building our homes, and caring for our elderly. So contrary to Trump’s fear mongering that “If Kamala is reelected, your town, and every town just like it…across our country…will be transformed into a third-world hellhole,” bloodthirsty and/or jaywalking migrants are not taking over our country.

The only criminal that America really needs to be worried about right now is Donald Trump. He’s the native-born miscreant with 34 felony convictions, civil liabilities for sexual assault and financial fraud, and 50+ more felonies pending for crimes ranging from election interference to inciting a deadly insurrection. Trump is by far the greatest risk to the safety and welfare of the American people.

Herr Trump Threatens to Prosecute Google for Showing Stories that Hurt His Tender Feelings

America’s most prominent wannabe dictator, Donald Trump, is no exception to this. For years he has embraced the Stalinist slogan lambasting the media as “the enemy of the people.” And he hasn’t been shy about hurling vicious insults at journalists and news organizations. Even Fox News isn’t safe from Trump’s wrath…

Trump’s relentless assault on media includes digital media as well. On Friday he lashed out on his own floundering social media scam, Truth Social, to unburden himself of the overheated hostility that he harbors for the press. This time his rage was directed at Google, who he alleges is steeped in bias against him. Trump ranted that…

“It has been determined that Google has illegally used a system of only revealing and displaying bad stories about Donald J. Trump, some made up for this purpose while, at the same time, only revealing good stories about Comrade Kamala Harris. This is an ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, and hopefully the Justice Department will criminally prosecute them for this blatant Interference of Elections. If not, and subject to the Laws of our Country, I will request their prosecution, at the maximum levels, when I win the Election, and become President of the United States!”

There is so much wrong with that outburst that it requires a little further exploration. To begin with, Trump says that some undefined illegality “has been determined” in Google’s practices. The obvious question is: determined by whom? Sean Hannity? Rudy Giuliani? Melania’s hairdresser? The ghost of Rush Limbaugh? Or some other disembodied voices in his head?

Secondly, what law does Trump imagine has been violated? Was it Section 666 of the U.S Penal Code prohibiting felonious meanness aimed at hypersensitive narcissists?

Third, Trump’s allegation that Google is “only revealing and displaying bad stories” about him is unsupported by any factual data. It isn’t even supported by any fabricated data. It’s just Trump whining about it to his cult followers on his own website that only reveals and displays slobbering adorations of him. Most of which are “made up for this purpose.”

Meanwhile, Trump is outraged by what he claims are good stories about Kamala Harris. So in effect, he’s complaining that Harris is doing too many things that generate positive press. What a devious plot by her. However, if Trump really wants to see fewer bad stories about himself, he might want to consider doing fewer bad things. For starters, he could cut back on his lying, and racism, and infantile insults, and intentional divisiveness, and sucking up to foreign dictators, and impugning America as a failed, third world country.

Finally, Trump expresses his hope that “the Justice Department will criminally prosecute” Google. And he issues a direct threat that, if elected, he will “request their prosecution, at the maximum levels.” Which would violate the ethical principles that separate the presidency from the Justice Department. And still Trump doesn’t say on what grounds he would prosecute. Not that it matters to him.

The only thing that Trump is interested in is securing unwaveringly worshipful celebrations of his messianic perfection. And if the media doesn’t comply, then he will see to it that they are harshly punished. And somehow that manifestation of totalitarian oppression remains appealing to some glassy-eyed segment of the American public, and pretty much all of the MAGA-tized Republican Party.

Which makes it all the more imperative that Democrats prevail at the polls in November at every level, from the presidency to the sanitation department. Which, ironically, would be an appropriate career path for Trump to traverse.
