Fox News Clings to Trump’s Big Lie of Election Fraud that Fueled the Capitol Riots

A week ago several thousand Donald Trump cult disciples stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to disrupt the constitutional duty of Congress to certify the results of the presidential election. These traitors terrorized members of Congress, their staff, and Capitol security. Five people died during the insurrection, and many more were seriously injured.

Fox News, Terrorism

The impetus for this assault on democracy was Trump’s “Big Lie” that the election was stolen from him by some nefarious and massive Deep State cabal. Never mind that there is no evidence whatsoever of this alleged conspiracy. Just the allegation was sufficient to inflame Trump’s followers and produce a historic and tragic atrocity carried out by fatuous fools under the influence of flagrant falsehoods.

Within a week Trump was impeached for his role in inciting the riots, which he threatened would result in even more violence. He may be right. His cult is notoriously hostile and not known for their adherence to reason or facts. And it makes little difference that he posted a video asking to find common ground. With racist conspiracy crackpots? Not likely.

All of which makes what aired on Fox News Thursday morning more heinous and dangerous. Trump’s trade advisor, Peter Navarro, who has zero credentials to address these matters, appeared on Fox News for an interview with their Senior Trump-fluffer, Maria Bartiromo. The segment could only be described as a further incitement to violence (video below):

Navarro: What happened yesterday [the impeachment vote] was a travesty. The Democratic Party did violence to this country by attacking a president who I believe was legally elected on November 3. If the election were held today he’d be elected again. And if he runs in 2024 he will be elected then. And I think that’s what the Democrats fear. I’ve never been more pissed off in this place, and I think there’s 74 million Americans out there who voted for President Trump who feel exactly the same way.”

Notice that Navarro tries to linguistically associate Democrats with violence when all of the violence was caused by Republicans and Trump supporters. More ominously, he is regurgitating the very same “Big Lie” that Trump has been pushing about a “rigged” election, which is what triggered his supporters to commit terrorist crimes in the Capitol. This is a brazen attempt to incite more violence, just as Trump warned. Navarro then engaged in this exchange with Bartiromo:

Navarro: So I would say to these people on Capitol Hill, “Knock it off. Stop this.” Let the man leave peacefully with his dignity. He was the greatest jobs president, the greatest trade negotiator we’ve ever had in history. And this is just wrong what they’re doing.
Bartiromo: We know that there were irregularities in this election. We know that 70% of Trump voters have said we’re not buying this election. We think it was rigged. But get this, you cannot say that on social media. You will get banned.
Navarro: You can’t say it anywhere.
Bartiromo: You can’t use the word “irregularities.” And if you say there was fraud it’s absolutely outrageous. This feels more like communist China than it does America, that they have the ability to stomp out free speech.

First of all, suggesting that Trump has any dignity is just another big lie. What’s more, he is literally the worst jobs president ever. As for trade, he has only succeeded in imposing tariffs that have crippled American businesses.

Then Bartiromo returns to the election fraud lie, saying that “70% of Trump voters have said we’re not buying this election.” So what? Those are Trump’s dimwitted zealots whose opinions were formed by his hammering falsehoods into them. Of course they feel that way. That is not, however, the way the majority of Americans feel. They support his impeachment and removal from office.

Both Bartiromo and Navarro then make the absurd observation that you can’t say the election was rigged. Notice that they are both saying it on a national television network. Bartiromo goes further to compare her false allegations to the media in communist China. Once again, she’s making that charge on her own nationally broadcast TV show. The only plausible comparison that can be made in that regard is the comparison to how devotional and sycophantic she and her Fox News confederates are toward Dear Leader Trump.

Fox News seems to be doing everything in its power to exacerbate an already volatile situation. An analysis by Media Matters shows that Fox News has cast doubt on the results of the election nearly 800 times in the two weeks since Fox itself called the election for Joe Biden. They seem to be purposefully antagonizing Trump’s terrorist brigades. There just isn’t any other plausible explanation for their persistent dissemination of Trump’s lies. And if they keep it up, they will make sure that Trump’s prediction of more violence comes true.

Trump’s Impeachment Message Fails to Condemn His Violent Seditionists

The second impeachment of Donald Trump was in progress for hours when the desperate and despondent President sent an urgent message to his most fervently loyal supporter, Fox News.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Donald Trump, Nazi Flags

The message that Trump sent was short and blatantly self-serving. It read

“In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence. NO lawbreaking, and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank you.”

The first thing to make note of here is that Trump did not go on television himself to deliver this message. He apparently doesn’t think that keeping the peace during the nation’s quadrennial transfer of power isn’t important enough to warrant his personal attention. Instead, he sends his message – not to the whole of the press where more people will hear it – but to Fox News alone.

More importantly, Trump’s message was carefully worded to avoid accepting any responsibility on his part or the part of the hostile insurrectionists that he incited. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone considering that he and his confederates have actually been threatening more violence if he is held to account. His disingenuous request to refrain from violence isn’t even directed at the perpetrators of violence. Notice that he aims his remarks at “ALL Americans,” as if all Americans just assaulted Congress last week in an insurrection that resulted in at least five deaths.

By not identifying those responsible for the atrocities in Washington, Trump is, in effect, letting them off the hook. Either that, or he’s accusing all Americans of these heinous acts. But he knows full well who is responsible. He knows who is organizing the upcoming demonstrations he referred to. And he knows that they have a propensity for violence.

Last week Trump and others on the right claimed that the congressional attackers weren’t Trump supporters at all. He pointed his short, knobby fingers at Antifa, an organization that doesn’t actually exist. However, as satirist Andy Borowitz pointed out, “If, in fact, Trump thinks that the rioters were Antifa, it was really nice of him to do that video where he said that he loved them.”

Finally, Trump’s assertion that violence is “not what I stand for,” is a flagrant lie. Violence has been a core part of his “movement” from the start. He has praised those who assaulted his critics. He fantasized about assaulting them himself. And with regard to the attack on Congress, he told his cult disciples that “If you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.” He said that at a rally just prior to sending them off to invade the Capitol. He also said that he would be going with them. That was also a lie. He actually returned to the safety of his bunker at the White House. And this is the “macho man” that his cult idolizes?

Watch Trump and his shills, especially Fox News, disgorge inflammatory rhetoric to incite his civil war:

Biden Inaugural TV Special to Air On Every News Network – Except Fox News

Next week Joe Biden will be inaugurated as the 46th President of the United States of America. Kamala Harris will be inaugurated as the first woman ever to serve as Vice-President. And Donald Trump, whose brazen dishonesty, hostility, and ignorance, will be relegated to history’s Hall of Shame as the first and only reality TV game show host to be impeached twice.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Joe Biden, Donald Trump Baby, Fake News

Given the extraordinary and dangerous circumstances of these troubled times, The inauguration’s events will be limited in order to protect the participants and audiences celebrating our nation’s democracy. The still surging COVID–19 pandemic, that Trump so negligently and incompetently mismanaged, demands that traditional festivities be curtailed. However, the coronavirus isn’t the only new obstacle impeding the celebration.

The hard-won peaceful transfer of power that Trump and his seditious confederates purposefully endeavored to disrupt is also threatened by his mob army of cult disciples. Consequently, Biden’s inauguration will be transformed into a virtual affair that forgoes the glamorous balls and parades of the past. It will culminate with a live broadcast that pays tribute to the frontline heroes who have led the nation through the crises of the past year.

Sadly, not every media player is on board with this tribute to the American people, or the celebration of the swearing in of the nation’s next leader. As reported by Politico

“President-elect Joe Biden’s inaugural committee is producing a television special for the night of his inauguration next week in lieu of the normal in-person festivities, an official familiar with the plans told POLITICO.

“The prime-time event will air on broadcast channels ABC, CBS and NBC but not Fox. Cable news networks CNN and MSNBC will carry it live. Fox News will not.”

So Fox News, the network that drapes the American flag over every logo and promo it runs, and splashes pseudo-patriotic rhetoric throughout the programs hosted by sanctimonious, right-wing propagandists, is ditching this televised tribute to America. Fox is ringing in the new year and the new administration in a manner that is typical of their rancid political biases and ideological hypocrisy. They are demonstrating that their recent calls for “unity” (by which they mean impunity) has really been disingenuous whining aimed at evading accountability for the violence that their traitorous “talent” disseminate.

If anyone thought that Fox News would become more moderate in the post-Trump era, they will be sorely disappointed. Fox was founded with the mission to blindly advance an ultra-conservative agenda and to assault their political foes. And that’s just what they intend to do going forward.

The Biden television special will be hosted by Tom Hanks and will feature performances by Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, Jon Bon Jovi, and many of the heroes that deserve our nation’s respect and honor.

It will be interesting to see what Fox News airs instead of the Inauguration program. Will they simply run their regular schedule with harping blowhards Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram, Tucker Carlson, and their clown car cavalcade of raving rightists? Or will they reach out to their own celebrity supporters like Scott Baio, Jon Voight, Ted Nugent, and the MyPillow guy?

We’ll see. But we won’t have to wonder who America will be watching while Fox News pouts in their corner of the media, producing an evening intended only for their despondent and desperate impeached superfan as he is carted off to Mar-a-Lago in disgrace.

If You Thought Fox News Would Be More Moderate in a Post-Trump World, Think Again!

With less than two weeks until Donald Trump is officially stripped of his presidential duties (which he hasn’t been performing anyway), Fox News is sending their audience of radical evangelical conservatives a clear message that they intend to continue their mission as the preeminent voice of wing-nuttery in America.

Donald Trump, Fox News, Fake

The network that has served as Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda for the last four years is shifting from it’s strictly pro-Trump stance to one that is more broadly anti-Biden and anti-liberal. And as an added feature, Fox News programming appears to be pursuing an even more extremist right-wing ideology that is even farther removed from reality.

On Monday morning’s Fox and Friends, several segments proudly skipped off the rails with utterly fantastical presentations of Bizarro World news alerts. Take this segment with Fox’s “Judge” Jeanine Pirro, for example, where she tried to illustrate the differences between Democrats and Republicans:

“This is the difference between the left when they are in power and the right when they are in power. When the Republicans are in power everything is polite and genteel. And when the Democrats come in they’re gonna strip your First Amendment free speech. They’re gonna suppress you, cancel you, impeach you. They don’t care about the business of the American people.”

“Polite and genteel” Republicans? It’s pretty safe to presume that Pirro’s GOP confederates don’t approve of whatever mind-altering pharmaceutical she’s been gumming. Republicans are notorious for their raging hostility and division, especially during the Trump years. What does Pirro find “polite” about accusations that Democrats will destroy America? And how is it “genteel” to charge that the media is “the enemy of the people”?

Furthermore, Pirro needs to provide some evidence that Democrats have ever stripped anyone of their First Amendment rights. To the contrary, it’s Republicans who are constantly clamoring to shut down free speech. And they started the impeachment thing with Bill Clinton over his private sexual encounters when they couldn’t find actual proof of any illegality related to his presidential duties.

Pirro went on to associate the deplatforming of the ultra-rightist Twitter alternative, Parler. “What we’re seeing,” she alleged, “is a kind of censorship that is akin to a Kristallnacht.” Actually, what we’re seeing is someone who has no idea that Kristallnacht – the Night of Broken Glass – had nothing to do with censorship. It was a violent assault on a Jewish community by Hitler’s thugs. So it was much more akin what Trump’s thugs did last week when they assaulted Congress. And it was disgusting that Pirro would exploit it so shamelessly to advance her ignorance and lies.

To elaborate on Fox’s new obsession with the welfare of insurrectionist speech, they brought in Dan Bongino, a Fox News contributor, far-right blowhard, and Parler’s founder. Bongino ranted incoherently about the absence of “free markets” online because…

“Twitter and Facebook are subsidized by the United States government – a law, Section 230 – where they’re allowed to pull down or leave up whatever they want. And they’re immune from lawsuits due to 230.”

Bongino then complains that Parler, which gets the same benefits under the law, was taken down and didn’t get the “trillion dollar” government subsidy. That may be because there was no trillion dollar subsidy for any of these websites. He’s literally making this stuff up as he goes. It’s also clear that he doesn’t know what Section 230 is. If he did he wouldn’t complain about its provisions to indemnify websites (like his) from slander lawsuits based on comments that their users post.

Fox and Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade focused on the right’s main argument against impeachment. and it’s a doozy:

To be clear, Kilmeade is proposing terrorism as a valid means of protest. He is telling the terrorists that if they want to force the hand of government, just engage in acts of violence – even murder. Then, when the “country is ready to explode” because “the President said repeatedly that he was robbed,” insist that “good leadership would bring down the temperature.”

In other words, give in to the terrorists, let them off the hook, and comply with their demands for fear of further violence. Which is funny because that just happens to be the terrorist’s strategy. Which should make you wonder whose side Kilmeade is on.

For that matter, we should also wonder whose side Fox News is on. As if we didn’t know. If this is an indication of the direction that Fox is moving for the post-Trump era, then it’s clear that they intend to continue to be a divisive and destructive factor in American media and politics. It’s what they were founded to do. And it will be all the more necessary to remain vigilant and prepared to expose their biases, lies, and nefarious motives going forward.

Fox News Host Smugly Laughs at Death and Destruction By the Trump Terrorists He Incited

The Trump Insurrection of 2021 has resulted in the deaths of five Americans – so far. And the violent invasion of Congress as it attempted to perform its constitutional duties left many more injured. But equally disturbing is the stain it left on the fragile fabric of democracy. And yet, Donald Trump – who professed his love for the terrorists – continues to ignore the consequences and evade accountability.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News, Tucker Carlson

One of the reasons that Trump gets away with his atrocities is that he has the unflinching support of right-wing media, especially Fox News. The network acts as Trump’s de facto Ministry of Propaganda, and it’s top hosts have shamelessly glorified him (and still do), no matter how appalling his actions or grotesque his behavior.

Chief among the contingent of Fox News Trump-fluffers is Tucker Carlson. And he is anxious to cement his kneeling position in the wake of the Trump Insurrection. On Friday night’s episode of his White Nationalist Hour (video below), Carlson launched a pity party by whining that it is Fox News that is under attack by media foes that he simultaneously says are weak and irrelevant. “This morning,” Carlson whined, “CNN announced that it is working to force the Fox News Channel off the air and run this company out of business.” Poor baby. He is plainly distraught and perhaps suffering from PTSD (Post-Trump Sedition Disorder). His hysterical tirade continued…

“CNN staffers have already contacted the six major cable carriers in this country – those are the companies that carry our signal into your home – and pressured them to drop Fox News. Why? On the pretext that this show and others is directly responsible for the violence at the U.S. capitol this week. ‘It is time,’ CNN announced, quote ‘that TV carriers face questions for lending their platforms to dishonest companies that profit off of disinformation and conspiracy theories. So here you have a news company calling for censorship. You have a TV network demanding that media conglomerates ban its competitor.”

That grumbling of grievances was, of course, just another litany of lies. CNN never pressured cable companies to drop Fox News. They never called for censorship. They never demanded that Fox News, or any other media outlet be banned. That was all invented in Carlson’s biased, paranoid, and wildly overactive imagination. And from that warped perspective he launched a bizarre and infantile fantasy that featured CNN’s CEO Jeff Zucker, whom he called “CNN’s blustery little dwarf king” and described as “sitting on the tiny throne in his apartment, feet dangling just above the floor, watching Fox News and getting angrier and angrier.” [NOTE: That last part sounded more like a description of Trump]. You really have to wonder how Carlson, whose emotional maturity is pre-toddler, got a primetime show on television. Although his landing on Fox News followed being fired by PBS, CNN, and MSNBC.

Carlson went on to chastise CNN’s Brianna Keilar’s reporting on the Trump Terrorists in Washington. He literally laughs at the description of them as “insurrectionists,” and mocks their vandalism and assault on police officers as they sought to disrupt the congressional certification of the election. He took particular offense at her reference to his show and his personal culpability for the environment that produced the seditious rioters.

Naturally Carlson, a flaming white supremacist, was most offended by any suggestion that “white privilege” played any role in how the riot unfolded and the police response to it. That obvious observation by Keilar elicited more sanctimonious laughter from Carlson. For context, here is what Keilar actually said on her CNN program:

“We regularly discuss what the Big Tech companies have done to poison the public conversation by providing large platforms to bad-faith actors who lie, mislead, and promote conspiracy theories. But what about TV companies that provide platforms to networks such as Newsmax, One America News — and, yes, Fox News?

“Somehow, these companies have escaped scrutiny and entirely dodged this conversation. That should not be the case anymore. After Wednesday’s incident of domestic terrorism on Capitol Hill, it is time TV carriers face questions for lending their platforms to dishonest companies that profit off of disinformation and conspiracy theories. After all, it was the very lies that Fox, Newsmax, and OAN spread that helped prime President Trump’s supporters into not believing the truth: that he lost an honest and fair election.

“Yes, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin and others are responsible for the lies they peddle to their audiences. But the TV companies that beam them into millions of homes around the country also bear some responsibility. And yet we rarely, if ever, talk about them.”

So Keilar was addressing real problems with the partisan falsehoods that contributed to the violence at the Capitol. And she expressed the rational opinion that questions need to be asked in order to fully understand what happened, what caused it, and how to prevent it in the future. But those questions, in Carlson’s diseased brain, were out of bounds and deserving of his wrath and mockery.

The truth is that any criticism of Trump would antagonize Carlson and his Fox News confederates. They have subjugated their free will and reason in favor of worshipping the master of the Cult of Trump, to which they are devoted disciples. It’s emblematic of the descent into madness by both Fox News and the Republican Party. They have come utterly undone. And in their hypnotic state of idolatry they see no evil and speak only in glowing expressions of adoration and amazement at the perfection of Dear Leader.

Trump is Hiding in His Bunker Watching Fox News Whine About His ‘Confused’ Voters

On Thursday morning Donald Trump was released from Twitter prison [although News Corpse still has not been – see note below] so he posted a video that was his weak-kneed version of a concession speech. He led off by criticizing the Capitol terrorists that he incited and professed to “loving” the day before. He defended his treasonous crusade to overturn the election and the will of the American people. And he pretended to support a “smooth, orderly, and seamless transfer of power.”

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Trump in Bed, Eating, Sad

Notice that Trump never used the words “peaceful” or “concede.” Nor did he acknowledge Joe Biden as President-Elect. But he did restate his delusional conspiracy theory that the election was fraudulent and his pitiful and failed pursuit of imaginary evidence was in the interest of democracy.

On Friday morning Trump took to his Twitter machine again to pay tribute to himself and his legions of dimwitted cult followers. He tweeted that…

Once again, Trump is focused on his warped rendering of reality by recognizing only the losers that voted for him, while ignoring the fact that 81 million people voted for Biden. He apparently doesn’t regard them as “great American Patriots.” But he is concerned that his sheep will be herded off into well-deserved historical obscurity.

However, this wasn’t some spontaneous burst of consolation for these lost souls. Shortly before Trump’s tweet, Fox News was discussing his defeat and the fate of his despondent voters. Fox and Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt was awash in empathy, and Trump’s tweet appears to be a direct response to that:

That’s funny, because neither Earhardt, nor Trump, nor Fox News, ever expressed such concerns for the majority of people who voted for Hillary Clinton over Trump in 2016. They never acknowledged the far more credible fears of those voters for “the future of this country” that turned out to be prescient in a tragic way. And that applies not only to the assault on democracy orchestrated and incited by Trump and his Fox News Ministry of Propaganda (which is still disseminating dangerous lies). It also applies to the catastrophic and deadly neglect and incompetence of Trump’s mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earhardt did get one thing right, though. Her characterization of Trump’s cult as “confused” is a fitting description of his glassy-eyed hordes, albeit somewhat understated. It would be more accurate to describe them as deranged due having been fed a diet of flagrant lies and blatant bullpucky for the past four years. She should have pointed out that their so-called confusion was entirely due to Trump’s dishonesty and egomaniacal aspirations for unchallenged, authoritarian power. As well as the disinformation produced by Fox News on Trump’s behalf.

Finally, Trump’s assertion that he supports a smooth transfer of power is contradicted by another tweet on Friday morning:

Clearly Trump’s ego won’t permit him to stand behind the new president, like every other retiring president has done. He simply cannot tolerate not being the sole center of attention. He’s afraid of being revealed for – and remembered as – the loser that he is and always has been. And he refuses to grant recognition to anyone other than himself.

Trump doesn’t say where he will be on Biden’s inauguration day. Golfing? Conferring with his attorneys to avoid prison? Fleeing the U.S. to a country without an extradition treaty? Or just swaddled under the covers in his Mar-a-Lago bedroom watching Fox News, or Newsmax, or OANN, or listening to Rush Limbaugh, and fantasizing that he really did win reelection as he chows down some KFC, diet cokes, and Adderall?

Fox News is Still Fomenting Violence and Making Excuses for Trump’s Terrorists

The day after Donald Trump sent his terrorist goons to assault the United States Capitol, and the American people’s representatives as they tried to do perform their Constitutional duties, there is still a whiff of chaos and treason in the air around Washington, D.C. The perpetrators have not been apprehended and many of their enablers in the Republican Party continue to espouse the dangerous lies that motivated the insurrection.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Fox News

Trump himself has still not condemned the violence. In fact, in a video that Twitter removed, Trump actually embraced it and told the terrorists that he loved them. Twitter also deleted Trump’s last tweet before his account was suspended for putting the nation at risk. In that tweet Trump excused the violence saying that…

“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”

WRONG! These are the things and events that happen when a sociopathic, narcissistic, aspiring authoritarian dictator stages a coup in order to maintain his illegal grip on power and avoid certain criminal indictments.

There has been a broad condemnation of Trump from across the political spectrum in America and around the world. However, from Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda (aka Fox News) there has been a steady drumbeat of support, rationalization, and even condemnation of others for Trump’s wrongdoing. Chief among the Trump apologists is Tucker Carlson, who devoted his Primetime White Nationalist Hour to making excuses for Trump and his treasonous brigades (video below). Carlson began by sympathizing with the delusions of the rioters:

“Millions of Americans sincerely believe the last election was fake. You can dismiss them as crazy. You can call them conspiracy theorists. You can kick them off Twitter. But that won’t change their minds.”

The reason that some Americans believe the election was fake is because people like Carlson, and others on Fox News, have endorsed and amplified Trump’s flagrant and repeated lies on the subject. But Carlson is correct in saying that their minds won’t be changed. And his sanctimonious monologue didn’t even attempt to do that. In fact, he just made things worse:

“What happened today will be used by the people taking power to strip you of the rights you were born with as an American. Your right to speak without being censored. Your right to assemble, to not be spied upon. To make a living. To defend your family, most critically.”

So the lesson Carlson takes from this purposeful act of sedition is that the government that these traitors sought to overthrow truly is their enemy and is determined to squelch their freedoms and kill their families. That is not how you deescalate the irrational tensions of insurrectionists. That’s how you incite them to further violence.

Carlson closed by saying that “We got to this sad, chaotic day for a reason. It is not your fault. It is their fault.” So Carlson is validating the terrorists by affirming that had a good reason to commit terrorism. And besides, it isn’t their fault anyway. It’s the fault of the democratically elected government that they oppose and hope to topple.

Fox News is wholly complicit with the evildoers of Trump World. They immediately joined the chorus of Trump cult disciples who sought to blame the insurrection on Antifa. Never mind that they had zero evidence of that, or that Antifa doesn’t even exist. Fox News also tried to draw outrageously false equivalencies between these traitors and the millions of citizens who protested institutional racism and police brutally.

Fox News hosts minimized the riots by characterizing them them as protests that “got a little out of hand” by “passionate” people “who love our country.” Pete Hegseth of Fox and Friends justified the terrorists saying that “They were there to support the President of the United States and to defend our republic.” “I understand what this country represents,” Hegseth said. Adding that “I see how the left is trying to tear it down. And I see one man in Donald Trump who’s been willing to fight undeterred.”

That’s precisely the problem. Trump and his confederates are determined to start a fight that they hope takes the form of a civil war. And they are undeterred by reason, facts, decency, or patriotism. They are committed to betraying the country in favor of a tyrannical dictatorship led by a megalomaniac with no moral core.

And Fox News is at the center of Trump’s communications strategy to disinform the dimwitted and lead them into submission and oppression. So when anyone proposes that Trump must be removed from office and prohibited from serving again, they have to include Fox News if the nation hopes to avoid the next aspiring dictator.

Trump’s Lame Address to His Terrorist Coup Plotters: “Go Home, We love you.”

The terrorism that is being carried out in Washington, D.C., is a clear and predictable consequence of the insurrectionist rhetoric of Donald Trump, Fox News, and their confederates on the far-right, treasonous, lunatic fringe. And as it proceeded, Trump remained silent for an intolerable stretch of time while the U.S. Capitol was under assault by Trump incited traitors.

Be sure to visit and follow News Corpse on Instagram.

Donald Trump

Eventually Trump managed to slap together a prerecorded, one minute long statement politely asking his cult disciples to disperse. He began by affirming the very reason they were acting out, saying that “We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it was stolen.” His message was both lame and pitifully weak. “Go Home, We love you,” Trump gushed. Adding “Go home and go home in peace.”

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1346928882595885058

Note that Trump’s tweet was tagged as being “a risk of violence.” Twitter was considerably late for that. UPDATED NOTE: Twitter later deleted Trump’s tweet containing his repulsive video response to the insurrectionists he inspired (available here for you masochists). Twitter also deleted a tweet that effectively excused the insurrectionists saying…

“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”

This would be a good time to remind people of how Trump responded to what he called thugs and anarchists who protesting the institutional racism that has resulted in so many tragic injuries and fatalities of innocent, unarmed black citizens. When those overwhelmingly peaceful protests were occurring, Trump lashed out at the diverse crowds and labeled them all as “Antifa” agitators, an organization that doesn’t actually exist. He tweeted insults and threats such as these…

So Black Lives Matter protesters are “sick and deranged,” but the members of Trump’s bowel “movement” are “wonderful, sweet and innocent people.” BLM protesters “will be prosecuted,” while the Trump Brigades can just go home, leaving behind a trail of destruction and assault on citizens, members of Congress, and law enforcement officers.

It’s typical of Trump to include the media in his tirades. However, the role of the right-wing media is one of willing complicity. Fox News presently has an article on their website that is brimming with Trump’s inciteful language. For instance, he called the election of Joe Biden “a catastrophe,” and labeled Biden “illegitimate.” They quoted Trump at his grossly misnamed “Save America” rally saying that…

“We do not want to see our election victory stolen by radical left Democrats, that’s what they’re doing, and stolen by the fake news media, that’s what they’ve done and what they’re doing. We will never give up and never concede.”

[And…}

“We don’t have free and fair elections, and you know what else, we don’t have a free and fair press. It suppresses thought, it suppresses speech and it’s become the enemy of the people. It is the biggest problem we have in this country.”

This is precisely the sort of inflammatory dialog that produced the insurrectionists in Washington. And the article was actually a criticism of other media (CNN and MSNBC) for not disseminating Trump’s vile words. Apparently Fox News would prefer that this sort of bombastic blather get even more exposure and reach more nut cases to storm the Capitol.

At this point there is no justification for Trump remaining in office for another minute. He is a threat to the security and tranquility of the nation. And the same thing can be said of Fox News. They have both taken advantage of our nation’s freedoms in way that furthers their treasonous aspirations. And it’s long past time that they be held to account.

For contrast, here is President-Elect Biden’s address to the nation:

Eric Trump Is Right For Once: ‘The MAGA Movement Is Going Nowhere’

The morning after Democrats succeeded in gaining the majority in the Senate with the election of Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, Donald Trump showed up at the grossly misnamed “Save America” rally in Washington, D.C. He proceeded to deliver the same tedious speech he has been disgorging for months, with a few more examples of the flagrantly false allegations of election fraud.

Donald Trump

Fox News, of course, aired the whole speech live and uninterrupted. It was an hour plus of whining, lying, and infantile insulting. And there was no shortage of ranting about paranoid delusions of a “Deep State” cabal aligned against him that now even includes Mike Pence.

Trump’s despondence over the defeat he was dealt by President-Elect Joe Biden was apparent in his seething tirade. He simply can’t acknowledge the reality that America has thoroughly rejected him and his crime family. Speaking of which, Trump’s spawn Eric visited with Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday night to expound upon the Trump tribulations. And, surprisingly, Eric actually said something that was not only true, but which could unite Democrats and Republicans going forward:

“I can tell you, Sean, any senator or any congressmen – meaning on this side – that does not fight tomorrow – I’m telling you, their political career is over, because the MAGA movement is going nowhere. My father’s created the greatest political movement in American history and, I’m telling you, they will get primaried the next time around. And they will lose.”

Indeed! “The MAGA movement is going nowhere.” It’s been going nowhere for four years now. And the American people have soundly repudiated the dishonesty, division, hostility, and incompetence, that have been the hallmarks of MAGA madness in the Trump Era. So going forward the bowel “movement” created by Daddy Trump will descend to even deeper depths of irrelevancy. The political careers of those associated with it will fade into well-deserved obscurity. And the new Democratic majority in the Senate, made possible by the victories of two Democrats in the formerly deep red state of Georgia, is the first sign of the tectonic political shift that’s in progress.

What’s more, Eric’s determination to primary any Republican that he and his father deem insufficiently worshipful of Dear Leader is a political promise that Americans of every political stripe can support. The nation is more than ready for the GOP (Greedy One Percent) to be swept from power, and any help that the Trumps want to provide, however inadvertent, is welcome. Although, it’s hard to imagine that they could be more helpful than they have been to date via their repulsive policies and behaviors.

For his part, Donald Trump is fully on board with Eric’s strategy of political suicide. During his address to Wednesday’s MAGA rally, Trump said that “We have to get our people to fight. And if they don’t fight we have to primary the hell out of them.”

Unfortunately, Trump’s incitement to “fight” has been taken literally by his cult disciples, who are now storming the Capitol as members of Congress are gathered to certify the Electoral College vote. Ironically, they are disrupting their own Republican members who are objecting to the certification. And Trump’s seditious lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, joined the rush of traitors to whip up even more hostility in the crowd, saying “Let’s have trial by combat.”

The inflammatory rhetoric of Trump and his cronies, along with the unlawful breach of the Capitol, are further evidence of the treasonous intentions of Trump and his faithless brigades. They are battling with the police officers they have pretended to support. They are harassing the press (including Fox News). And they are employing violence in order to obstruct the business of the people and to advance their traitorous objectives.

This is not going to end well in the short term. But longer term it is going to cement the demise of the violent, unpatriotic, MAGA movement, just as Eric predicted. And Donald Trump must ultimately be held accountable as its leader and primary agitator.

UH-OH: Trump’s Fox News ‘Friends’ Admit He Has No Evidence and ‘No Shot At Success’

For twenty-five years Fox News has aggressively pursued its mission to advance an extremist conservative agenda and the partisan interests of the Republican Party. And for the past four years that has meant propping up Donald Trump, the most corrupt, dishonest, and incompetent president this nation has ever produced. It’s a record rife with lies, propaganda, and an almost proud aversion to ethical journalism.

Fox News Friends

Within that framework of deliberate disinformation, the “Curvy Couch” potatoes of Fox and Friends managed to stand out as Trump’s most loyal and shamelessly obsequious devotees. Prior to his election he even had a weekly segment on the program called “Mondays with Trump.” However, now that Trump has been booted from the White House, there have been some baby steps toward sanity in the realm of Trump’s “Friends” on Fox News.

This course correction may have something to do with Trump’s increasingly unhinged behavior as he seeks to persuade his dimwitted cult followers that he actually won reelection by a landslide. And the release of his phone call threatening Georgia election officials to get them to falsify the election results probably didn’t help him.

Consequently, on Monday morning the Fox and Friends crew took a surprising turn by presenting their viewers with a relatively realistic analysis of Trump’s preposterous and unproven claims of election fraud. With regard to the efforts by Trump and his congressional confederates to challenge the Electoral College vote, co-host Brian Kilmeade acknowledged that “It’s got no shot at success.” Co-host Steve Doocy rebutted Trump’s bizarre assertions, including his claim of thousands of dead people voting, by noting that there are only two current allegations of it.

The brief segment went on to explicitly call out Trump’s weak case for election irregularities and his demand that he be crowned President-for-Life, as illustrated in these excerpts:

Doocy: That’s the case that Donald Trump and his lawyers have put out. They said there is all this evidence. But they haven’t really produced the evidence. […]

Kilmeade: I just worry about you have that along with the protest the president is calling for on Tuesday and Wednesday. I mean, this is the type of anarchy that doesn’t work for anybody, Republicans or Democrats in the big picture. And I just think it’s up to the president’s legal team to produce what they are telling them they have. […] So far there is no proof of it. […]

Doocy: There have been a number of the president’s supporters who have said things on TV or on social media that have, you know, clouded the waters where it’s like wow, thousands of dead people. Dominion machines and all that stuff. But interestingly enough, that information is never entered into a court because you cannot present information to a court if you do not have the evidence. And so far we haven’t seen the evidence.

Like WOW, indeed! The Fox News Trump-fluffers may have finally have come to the realization that Trump has utterly failed to produce the evidence that he keeps claiming to have. And while it’s one thing to rant on TV and Twitter about flagrantly fake election crimes, they cannot be introduced in court without exposing oneself to criminal charges. That explains why the sixty-plus lawsuits filed by – and on behalf of – Trump have result in defeat and dismissal.

There appears to be a mini-trend developing among some of the properties in Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. His New York Post recently published a front page story exhorting Trump to “Stop the Insanity.” His Wall Street Journal’s editorial board wrote that Trump should “Give it up, Mr. President — for your sake and the nation’s.” And a select minority of Fox News personalities have strayed slightly from their usual unflinching adoration of Dear Leader. That has caused Trump to viciously attack the network that made him president and to promote some even more sickly fawning media toadies like Newsmax and OANN.

But don’t let that fool you into thinking that the Murdoch worm has turned. Fox News’ “Judge” Jeanine Pirro just hosted a Trump flunky who proposed a blatantly seditious act, which she was happy to embrace.

Nevertheless. Trump’s desperate, delusional, and pathetic grasping at ludicrous conspiracy theories might be making some Foxies nervous. They may see that he’s engaged in a futile and impotent attempt to retain power to avoid the certain legal peril he faces as a civilian. And some of them may want no part of that. It’s likely that in the next few months Fox News will be trying on new personas for the post-Trump era. Eventually they will settle on flipping from a pro-Trump network to one that is virulently anti-Biden. And so it goes…
