From day one Trump embarked on a malevolent mission to undermine democracy, persecute his political foes, and reshape the republic into an autocratic oligarchy that elevates the wealthy at the expense of average citizens. And at the top of Trump’s list of priorities was to enshrine himself as the Messiah of America who all must worship and obey.

The daily disgorging of chaos emanating from the Trump White House often has the effect of burying one calamity or another as Trump introduces something new to deflect from whatever horror has deluged the news cycle for the moment. And in recent days that is particularly true about the war in Ukraine that seems to have disappeared from the media spotlight lately.

Well, now that Trump and his tariffs have caused an economic meltdown that is likely to result in a recession, he is dredging up the Ukraine war, but only to exploit it in an effort to take the heat off of his latest presidential blunder. Trump posted a comment on his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, that declared that…

“Russia has to get moving. Too many people ere DYING, thousands a week, in a terrible and senseless war – A war that should have never happened, and wouldn’t have happened, if I were President!!!”

This might be a good time to remind everyone that, during the 2024 campaign, Trump swore that if he were elected he would forge a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine in 24 hours with a single phone call before he was even inaugurated. He’s been in office now for two and half months and has achieved less than nothing as Russia has actually escalated their bombing of civilians in Ukraine.

Trump has meekly complained about this previously a couple of times, begging Russia to come to the table. Zelenskyy has already promised to do so. But Trump’s buddy and idol, Vladimir Putin is ignoring him and probably laughing at him. Which makes Trump’s frequent claim that this war would never have started in the first place if he had been president at the time seem pitifully impotent.

Trump’s claim that his presence alone would have prevented Russia from invading Ukraine implies that Putin would be either too afraid of Trump to take such aggressive action, or that Putin so admired Trump that his influence would be irresistible. But it’s clear now that neither of those scenarios have an iota of truth to them. If Putin won’t listen to Trump now when he’s telling him to seek a peaceful resolution, it’s safe to assume that he wouldn’t have listened when he was first plotting to invade.

Therefore, Trump is what professional political analysts call “full of shit!” And consequently, so is his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who told reporters on Friday that…

“The president has been quite clear that he has been continually frustrated with both sides of this conflict and he wants to see this fighting end. He wants the war to end. We believe we have leverage in negotiating a deal, a peace deal. And we’re going to use that leverage. And the president is determined to see this through.”

See? Trump wants the war to end. Zelenskyy wants the war to end. Only Putin, who could end the war unilaterally in seconds, is stubbornly insisting that the war continue. And this is further evidence that, despite Leavitt’s remarks, Trump has no leverage whatsoever.

But then, Leavitt’s perspective of the world is light years away from reality. When addressing Trump’s visit to Walter Reed Medical Center for his annual physical, Leavitt responded to a preposterous question (by a “reporter” with pillow guy Mike Lindell’s network) that began by stating that “Trump looks healthier than ever before,” with an equally preposterous answer…

Trump’s “governing by chaos” method of mismanagement is producing precisely the sort of results that virtually every credible economist predicted way in advance. Both the stock market and the bond market took severe hits, depleting $6 trillion in assets, decimating the savings of millions of Americans, while setting up the uppercrusters to further enrich themselves.

in response to this fiscal fiasco, the Trump administration gathered their most reliable apostles and dispatched them to the MAGA media to spread their gospel. Leading the pack was Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, who has made more appearances on Fox News than in the White House press room. On Thursday Leavitt sat for a friendly conversation with Fox’s Martha MacCallum. And she read solemnly from the Trump hymnal saying that…

“There’s great reason to be optimistic about America’s economy. Trust in President Trump. Look at what he did in his first term. Companies would be best served doing business right here in the United States.”

And there you have it. All you need in order to be bathed in the glow of illusory optimism is to place your trust in Dear Leader, who is divine and infallible. And the evidence of his divinity is observed in his miracles of the past.

Just in case you’ve forgotten, During Trump’s first term he presided over the deaths of more than a million Americans due to the COVID pandemic that he grossly mismanaged. The economy was in tatters, and far worse off than every other industrialized nation. More businesses were shuttered than at any time in generations. And Trump was the first president in decades to leave office with fewer Americans employed than when he began.

What’s more, Trump tried to extort the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to pressure him to dig up dirt on Joe Biden prior to the 2020 election that Trump still says (aka lies) was “rigged and stolen” from him. And Trump incited a violent and deadly riot by insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to undermine democracy and prevent the certification of Biden’s election. Both of those incidents resulted in his unprecedented two impeachments.

That’s the resume upon which Leavitt is asking you all to rely for confidence going forward in Trump’s second occupation of the White House. And her simplistic suggestion that every company would be better off doing business in the U.S. ignores all of the rational arguments for taking advantage of the many benefits of diversifying production internationally, including labor, real estate, transport, and natural resources.

Leavitt’s plea to the nation to “trust in Trump” is more of the sort of adoration that sets the Trump cult apart from other political movements. This subservient demand for blind devotion is a hallmark of the Trump cabal. It was further affirmed during another one of his adulatory Cabinet meetings where all of his Pharisees are required to demonstrate their veneration of the Master. And venerate they did. For instance…

  • Attorney Genuflect Pam Bondi lied that Trump was “overwhelmingly elected by the biggest majority.” [Trump’s margin was one of the lowest ever]
  • Treasury Sycophantry Scott Bessent celebrated the stock market being “Up two [days], down one is not a bad ratio.” [The stock market has been down five of the last six days]
  • Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins gushed that “What you have assembled in your vision is a turning point in American history.” [That’s actually true, but for all negative reasons]
  • Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler drooled “Mr President, on behalf of America’s manufacturers, I want to thank you…main street is grateful for you.” [Main Street in Moscow]

This is a typical Cabinet meeting for the Trump regime. There is virtually nothing done that advances the interests of the American people. It’s sole purpose is to inflate Trump’s massive yet fragile ego. Like most other cult leaders, he demands to be worshipped. And while his flock will obey, it’s increasingly clear that the American public will not.

This fiasco was 100% generated by the ignorance, arrogance, and ego of Trump, and was completely unnecessary. His boneheaded blanketing of tariffs on nearly every country across the globe (except, of course, for Russia), has resulted in the worst stock market crash since March of 2020, in the midst of a deadly pandemic that he also mismanaged with deadly consequences. And he has no idea whatsoever what to do about any of it.

On Monday morning, Fox News Senior Trump-Fluffer, Maria Bartiromo, hosted a segment of her program to discuss Trump’s deliberate destruction of the American economy. And her commentary was somewhat out of character for someone who is such a reliable devotee of the Trump cult. But that just reinforces how extraordinarily ghastly Trump’s bungling of the business of America has been. When asked about what the impact of Trump’s tariffs will be, she said…

“Well, it is going to have an effect on Main Street. Some things will become higher priced. We will see some products actually be raised in price because companies will pass on the cost of tariffs to consumers. I would expect that.

“That’s why you have some people saying that we could see a recession. We’ll see a growth slowdown. […] U.S. real GDP is on track to decline about one percent in the second quarter, and in the third quarter with unemployment rising.”

You don’t say? This is what credible economists have saying for months. It is a complete repudiation of Trump’s preposterous lies that foreign countries are the ones who pay the tariffs. Bartiromo is acknowledging that it is the domestic importers who pay, and then pass those costs on to consumers. How long will it be before Trump denounces her as a radical left lunatic spreading fake news?

Bartiromo went even further to acknowledge that a recession is a probable outcome of Trump’s idiocy. Although she doesn’t put it in terms quite as stark and accurate as that. In fact, Bartiromo actually appears to have chickened out at the end of her remarks, saying…

“But look, President Trump told us that we were going to see a disruption. We are in that disruption right now. The bottom line is when you’re looking at this situation from 30,000 feet above, he’s trying to rejigger the economy so that the U.S. is not reliant on China for prescription drugs, or Taiwan for advanced semiconductor chips, to try to get manufacturing here. So yes, I do expect this to hit the Main Street and hit prices that will go higher.”

See? It’s all part of Trump’s grand plan. He isn’t throwing the nation into an economic sinkhole. He’s just “rejiggering” it to increase domestic manufacturing. Never mind that tariffs would have the opposite effect because no manufacturer would invest billions of dollars, and several years, to build new factories when Trump’s policies are so unstable, unpredictable, and detrimental to growth.

What’s more, President Biden already got semiconductor, and other tech companies, to commit to domestic production without imposing devastating tariffs. See the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022.

Bartiromo isn’t the only MAGA maven to concede that Trump is sabotaging the U.S. economy. CNN is reporting that a gaggle of billionaire Trump supporters are hammering his economic policies. They are warning of an “economic nuclear winter,” and using terms like “recession,” “stupid, wrong, [and] arrogantly extreme.”

Trump has done a lot of dumb and dangerous things in the few weeks since his reoccupation of the White House. Including shuttering critical government services that will cost lives, firing independent inspectors general, threatening Social Security and Medicare, deporting citizens and legal residents to El Salvadorian gulags, and attacking and suppressing the free press.

But with his appalling economic policies Trump may have angered the one group that he actually cares anything about – his fellow wealthy, uppercrust elitists and greedy oligarchs. Or as he will shortly start to refer to the: radical left lunatics.

Fox News Spikes Story by Their Own Reporter Who Asked Why Trump is Sucking Up to Laura Loomer

Generally they obediently parrot whatever Dear Leader says, and then divert to some unrelated nonsense that they repeat ad nauseum to drill it into their vacuous viewing audience.

Most of Fox News “reporting” consists of smearing random Democrats, or spreading fictional accounts of imaginary liberal malfeasance, or inventing preposterous tales of misbehavior by migrants such as eating cats and dogs. It really doesn’t matter to Fox News how they mislead viewers, as long it keeps them glued to the network to have their devotion to Trump be continually reinforced.

The Fox News mission to canonize Trump was on display recently after a story about his relationship with Internet troll and conspiracy crackpot, Laura Loomer, made headlines. Multiple reputable news outlets reported on Loomer’s influence over Trump with regard to her role in the dismissal of National Security Agency (NSA) Director, General Timothy Haugh and other intelligence officials.

On Friday, Trump fired Gen. Haugh after a meeting with Loomer in the Oval Office. Loomer was reported to have presented Trump with a list of officials she deemed disloyal to Trump. Never mind that she has zero experience in intelligence or national security matters. And her concern – and that of Trump – was not disloyalty to the nation or the Constitution, but to Trump personally.

Not surprisingly, this incident has raised concerns about the politicization of national security and the potential undermining of America’s intelligence interests and institutional stability. Among those concerned was Fox News chief national security correspondent, Jennifer Griffin. She expressed her concerns in a tweet on Saturday asking…

“Why is the administration dismantling the nation’s cyber defenses at such a dangerous time? The President orders the firing of NSA director Gen Haugh after meeting with conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer in the Oval Office without consulting the Pentagon. Gen Haugh was fired for no reason while traveling to Japan. No replacement has been named for nearly 48 hours suggesting there was no plan. This after the administration has taken steps to dismantle CISA [Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency]. What is going on and why isn’t there loud bipartisan demand for answers?”

The fact that Loomer could even gain access to the Oval Office is shockingly disturbing and a dreadful omen for the future of the country. But even worse is that Trump would favor her opinion on national security matters over that of his Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, and his National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz.

Waltz was in the room with Trump and Loomer when she was badmouthing Haugh. He reportedly made a weak attempt to defend his deputies, but gave up rather quickly. Although Waltz may be out of favor after having invited a reporter into an attack planning chat on an unsecure commercial app.

Griffin’s reporting on this story appears to consist entirely of the tweet noted above. While the significance of her comment is readily apparent, and unquestionably newsworthy, Fox News appears to question it anyway. They have not had Griffin on the air to report her story, or even posted it on their website.

So the revelations about Trump’s embrace of Loomer, or the questions about Trump’s “dismantling the nation’s cyber defenses,” or why Republicans in Congress are silent about it, are all being ignored by Fox News. Consequently, anyone relying on Fox News for information will remain in a state of blissful ignorance.

It’s bad enough that Fox’s coverage of current events is so heavily slanted toward the far-right. But when they are so committed to distorting their reporting that they even muzzle their chief correspondents, it is impossible to take the network seriously as anything other than the Ministry of Propaganda for Trump. Which everyone who is paying attention already knew.

Even before Trump’s tariffs, the economy that he has mismanaged so terribly was crashing like a SpaceX rocket. March was the worst month for the stock market since December of 2022. Job creation has slowed. And consumer confidence has nose-dived. Not that Trump cares anything about any of that. His only interests are in what benefits him and his wealthy benefactors.

Meanwhile, his MAGA media propagandists have been struggling to put a happy face on his failures. And anyone who disagrees needs to keep their mouths shut and accept that it’s their lot to suffer so that Trump et al can prosper.

In the midst of the market meltdown, Trump dispatched his cult proselytizers to paper over the catastrophe that he has created. It is a full-on blitz of bullsh*t aimed at convincing his gullible followers that everything is hunky-dory. Pay no attention to that crater in your 401K. In fact, it’s all going according his divine plan that cannot fail, but that he cannot disclose.

For example, Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, told CNN that everyone just needs to stop worrying and be happy. Dear Leader has everything under control. Y’all are too stupid to comprehend his plans. So…

“Let Donald Trump run the global economy. He’s knows what he’s doing. He’s been talking about it for 35 years. You gotta trust Donald Trump in the White House. That’s why they put him there. Let him fix it. It’s broken. Let him fix it. Thirty-six trillion dollar deficit is gonna ruin our children’s lives and our grandchildren’s lives. Let Donald Trump fix the American economy.”

Got that? Just let Dear Leader fix everything with his magic thumbs up sign. He knows what he’s doing. After all, he only has six bankruptcies and dozens of other failed enterprises, from board games to vodka to universities, and more. And he only killed a few hundred thousand people by mishandling a deadly pandemic. And he only presided over the worst era of American diplomacy, alienating our allies and embracing our enemies. So just let him fix it. Okay?

For another example, on Thursday morning’s episode of “Outnumbered,” Fox News co-host Kayleigh McEnany (and former Trump press secretary) gushed adoringly that – as noted above – Trump has everything under control. Just follow him blindly.

“You heard the White House there saying this is not part of a negotiation. This is here to stay. I firmly believe that is posturing. This is the great dealmaker, the great negotiator, and he’s someone who understands how to get to a good end result […] We’ll see what happens, But I would not be surprised if the great negotiator has an end game in mind.”

See? He “has an end game in mind.” So don’t be surprised, dammit. How dare anyone question his plans that he won’t reveal. But you do have to wonder by what measure these people believe that Trump is a “great negotiator”? What great negotiation has he ever concluded? Virtually every one of his business ventures have failed or underperformed. His idea of negotiating is threatening people and refusing to pay. His alleged deal-making prowess is limited to his name being on the cover of a book called “The Art of the Deal” that somebody else wrote.

Therefore, why should anyone trust Trump about anything? Particularly anything related to economic matters. If you really want to know what people think of Trump’s tariffs, listen to what some of his current cult apostles said before they drank the Kool Aid…

Everyone of these MAGA GOP hypocrites are now kowtowing to Trump and supporting the Trump Tax – aka Tariffs – despite the fact that they know they hurt American consumers and will result in higher inflation and recession.Because they are cowards and/or cultists.

Chief among these was his pledge to reduce the prices of everything from groceries to automobiles, all while cutting taxes and protecting Social Security and Medicare.

However, in just the first two months of his reoccupation of the White House, Trump has managed to renege on his promises and, even worse, he has presided over increases in the prices of most consumer goods. And those increases are only going to get worse as he escalates his boneheaded trade war, imposing his Trump Tax – aka tariffs – on America’s allies that will be paid for by American shoppers.

The Trump economic agenda is, according to most economists, barreling headlong into recession or worse. Case in point, Harris Faulkner, co-host of Fox’s Outnumbered, addressed the sacrifices that we all must endure if we hope to MAGA (Make America Grovel Again)…

“The ‘401K people – those retirees, all of that – Just talk in ‘plain speak’ with them. Look, when this nation used to go to war, people in this country would support the war effort with their materials at home and making things for weaponry and all that. We’ve gotta do 100% buy in over this bumpy period. Just communicate.”

That’s right! Those greedy, selfish “401K people” should STFU and accept their burden in order to force America’s enemies – Canada, Mexico, Europe, etc., – into submission. After all, we’re at war, aren’t we? Maybe they should start raising their own chickens for eggs, and crocheting car seat upholstery. Because how else will America be able to afford all of those tax cuts for Trump and Elon Musk and the rest of the billionaire oligarchy?

Faulkner is advising the Trump regime to communicate in “plain talk.” Which in Trumpese translates to “lies” and “hollow platitudes” and other rhetorical means of deceit and deflection. That would explain Trump’s plain talking Commerce Secretary, billionaire Howard Lutnick, who gleefully disclosed that his mother-in-law wouldn’t mind if her Social Security check didn’t arrive for a few months. Surely your family can say the same, right?

Faulkner may not be aware that most of the “401K people” are not retirees. They are working people who are saving for retirement that may be decades away. However, the ones who are already retired are the the most at risk, because they don’t have the timeline to earn back any losses incurred by Trump’s financial foolishness. They are just what professional economists say are “sh*t outta luck.” Too bad for them.

Meanwhile, everyone else just bears with the downturn, that for the month of March, has already seen the stock market suffer its worst decline since December 2022. Well, almost everyone else. You will be relieved to know that the wealthy class that Trump serves will be just fine. They will retain their riches, pay less taxes on them, and make their own purchases through international channels that avoid Trump’s tariffs.

But they ought not to get too comfortable. There is an expiration date on their free ride on the backs of the peasants that they abhor. Because the monarchs and their aristocracy do not generally fair well when the people rise up to claim what is rightfully theirs. And that day is coming.

Trump’s Anti-Press Secretary Won’t Deny His Intention to Seek an Unconstitutional Third Term

As Donald Trump barrels headlong into one fiasco after another, his media flacks struggle to spin his catastrophes into something that avoids the malodorous stench of corruption, criminality, and failure. It’s a constant uphill battle with reality that pushes his press team to emulate the fantastical sycophancy of the totalitarian regimes that Trump idolizes.

Donald Trump and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt

The Trumpy propagandists are presently trying to find ways to turn his seething hostilities toward American allies (Ukraine, Canada, Europe, etc.), and the appalling breaches of his national security staffers (SignalGate), into a consumable mush that he can feed to his gullible cult followers. And to put it generously, it aint working.

One of the key methods that the Trump team uses to suppress criticism and dissent is the fine art of deflection. They will deliberately introduce a new subject to divert attention away from a matter that is more harmful. The risk of this tactic is that the new subject might actually be even worse than what they were hoping to avoid.

Case in point, Trump has been trying to float his authoritarian aspirations to tyranny by proposing that he extend his occupation of the White House into a constitutionally prohibited third term. The 22nd Amendment states plainly that “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” But mere laws can’t dampen Trump’s lust for power. When asked about this by Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker, Trump replied that “I’m not joking…There are methods which you could do it.”

Of course there are. Vladimir Putin did it. Xi Jinping did it. Viktor Orbán did it. And if Trump’s idols can do it, so can he. Right? And Trump’s press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, is more than happy to patronize his despotic dreams. When the matter came up on Fox News, Leavitt declined to refute the madness expressed by her boss, saying that…

“It’s funny to me that journalists ask the president this question. He gives an honest and candid answer and then they spiral about his answer. He was asked this, and you heard him, and he’s right. People love the job this president is doing. And as he said, we are focused on this term. We have four more years to go.”

Notice that Leavitt never actually denies that Trump is harboring unhinged hopes of declaring himself president-for-life. Instead, she just lies about his popularity, as if that would justify undermining democracy and taking over the country as its new dictator. For the record, Trump sits at the bottom of the popularity polls for presidents at this point in their terms.

CONGRATULATIONS MAGA!Trump is only the 2nd president since 1937 to have net negative approval two months into a term. The other one was also Trump.His policies are also in negative territory. And this is from 5 different polls, including Fox News.

Leavitt is giving the propaganda operations in Russia and North Korea a run for their money. She is incapable of opening her mouth without lies gushing out like a busted fire hydrant. Which is a skill that has surely endeared her to Trump. But the ease with which these people advocate for monarchal rule should be a wake up call for all Americans. Because, as Trump himself says, he isn’t joking.

Lara Trump’s Interview of Her Sugardaddy-in-Law’s Chief-of-Staff on Fox News is Pure Cult Dogma

Last month Fox News proudly announced that they had hired Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara, to host a new primetime program on the network called “My View with Lara Trump.” It was a journalistic coup that promised to thrill Fox’s audience with more of the pre-chewed propaganda that is the hallmark of Fox News.

The “view” that Lara has presented in the weeks since her debut was predictably narrow and focused tightly on MAGA messaging and minions. So far she has interviewed such luminaries as Trump’s anti-press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, his bought and paid for attorney general, Pam Bondi, his former DOGE partner, Vivek Ramaswamy, his Russian asset/director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, his reality TV groomed transportation secretary, Sean Duffy, and his Black friend, Byron Donalds.

Continuing with her bookings that run the ideological gamut from the ultra-conservative to the rabid right, Lara invited Trump’s Chief-of-Staff, Susie Wiles, to the show for a slobbering tongue bath. And to the surprise of no one, the interview avoided any of the recent controversies that have roiled the Trump administration, including the SignalGate fiasco wherein Trump’s alleged national security team (including Wiles herself) chatted casually about military attack plans on an insecure commercial messaging app.

Lara introduced Wiles with the obligatory fawning and flattery that accompanies every MAGA mouthpiece, because they are all models of perfection and godly infallibility. Then Wiles wasted no time in espousing the Trump cult dogma that all devotees are required to embrace…

“If you are in Trump World, you are hyper competitive. You want to win. You want to have – you want people to think what you think, and believe what you believe, and mold the country in the way you think best for us, but also for our kids and our grandkids. I think that’s what kind of keeps me in it. That’s what got me in it. That’s what keeps me in it.

That’s right. It is mandatory that all inhabitants of Trump World must “think what you think, and believe what you believe.” Because getting everybody to think and believe alike is what got them in, and keeps them in. It’s what assures that they remain ever faithful to Dear Leader and his divine mission.

In another clip from the interview, Lara and Wiles marveled at the resilience of their messiah, and his growth as a leader due to the trials and tribulations of his horribly deprived life as a wealthy nepo-baby…

Lara: I saw it throughout the course of the campaign and I think people noted the change. There was a slight change in the president and the way he operated, and the way he kind of would take a second and think through things. People give you a lot of credit for that.
Wiles: He’s been through so much. The lawfare, having been the leader of the free world, having had an assassination attempt. He’s a different person than he was. I think life experience and who he is changed him. I think he’s a better leader now.

Amazing. Now Trump takes a whole second to think things through. That actually explains a lot about why the past two months have been so disastrous. Although, given what we know about Trump, had he taken five or ten seconds, things might be even worse. As for Wiles’ claim that Trump is “a better leader now,” that can only be true if your benchmark is how close he is to being the sort of leader that he idolizes, such as Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong Un.

Yesterday Trump chose her to head up the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (aka Drug Czar), despite having zero experience in that field. Making her the twentieth person from Fox News to get a White House job]

This interview is just another example of why Fox News is so useful to the propaganda machine of the Trump regime. And the network brass simply doesn’t care that they are platforming a president’s daughter-in-law interviewing his top White House aide. This is all normal and appropriate to them.

Lucky for Fox, their viewers are too dimwitted and brainwashed to notice anything wrong with it. So be prepared for future episodes of Lara’s show where she interviews her mother-in-law, Melania, and her husband Eric, and other members of the Trump Klan, who will further enforce all the right things to think and believe. It’s what cults do.

Trump’s New US Attorney Drools All Over Dear Leader While Exhibiting Her Ignorance of the Law

Although it may seem like two years or more, it has only been two months since Donald Trump was inaugurated for the reprise of his occupation of the White House. In that short period of time he has managed to rack up some new and repugnant records for subverting the will of the people and undermining democracy.

Donald Trump, Woman, Fear

Trump’s efforts to sabotage the workings of the government run the gamut of the right-wing wish lists from shuttering programs that help the poor, to suppressing the free press by banning journalists that fail to sufficiently worship him. Many of his initiatives are already being challenged in court, where he has compiled more injunctions and temporary restraining orders than any president in at least sixty years. Additionally, he assembled what is unquestionably the worst, most unqualified Cabinet in America’s history. And that includes his new U.S. Attorney, Alina Habba.

Upon her appointment to her Justice Department post, Habba immediately set about performing her highest priority duties as defined by the Trump Doctrine: Appearing on Fox News to spread blatant propaganda. To that end, Habba sat for a friendly tongue bathing with Fox’s John Roberts and Sandra Smith, who watched obediently without ever interrupting to challenge her lies.

Habba began by declaring that “We have something called separation of powers for a reason.”
Of course, she has no idea what that reason is, but she probably thought it sounded smart, something that she recently said was “easy to fake.” Habba also said that she wants “to understand the rationale of trying to keep criminals in our great nation.” Which no is trying to do. The arguments against Trump’s unconstitutional deportations are that the defendants haven’t been afforded the due process that the Constitution demands. They have not been determined to be criminals. And many have been found to be citizens or legal residents with no criminal record.

However, according to Habba, none of that is necessary because “the decision is president Trump’s.” So she is asserting that Trump reigns supreme over the law of the land, like the totalitarian dictators that he idolizes. Then Habba continues her harangue with some wholly dishonest gaslighting about Trump’s alleged approval…

“What they’re trying to do is stop the president Trump’s agenda because he is skyrocketing right now. He has truly had so much approval. If you look at it, it is over 80% percent of Americans want illegal immigrants out. Trump’s approval rating is at an all-time high of anyone. He had an 80 million person mandate on November 5th and he he is keeping true to his promises. These judges have no business coming in and trying to stop the trump administration from pursuing their agenda, which was the ‘America First’ agenda to keep us safe.”

Habba’s assertion that Trump’s approval is “at an all-time high of anyone,” is just plain bullsh*t. To the contrary, it is the lowest of any president at this point in his term in decades. What’s more, his so-called mandate is one of the narrowest ever, only 1.5%. And as for his “keeping true to his promises,” there is a long list of pledges he made for day one of his reoccupation of the White House that has gone unfulfilled.

With regard to Habba’s claim about the public’s position on immigration, the actual polling is more complex than Habba’s ultra-partisan view. Sure, most Americans are not in favor of illegal immigration on principle. But that doesn’t mean that they want all of them rounded up like animals and carted off to medieval prisons in foreign countries that they’ve never been to.

According to a recent Pew poll, only about a third of Americans say that they want all illegal migrants immediately deported. Another 51% say they only favor deportation for those who have committed violent crimes. However, millions of undocumented migrants are working in agriculture and construction and medical care. Their absence would severely harm those industries and the people they are serving.

Finally, Habba says that “judges have no business coming in and trying to stop the trump administration from pursuing their agenda.” And with that statement she is contradicting her opening remarks about separation of powers. Reviewing and ruling on the constitutionality of actions by the executive and legislative branches is precisely what the judiciary is supposed to be doing. But Habba is too ignorant of the law, and too wrapped up in her biases to comprehend that.

Consequently, Habba will continue to serve her time at the Justice Department by appearing on Fox News and other MAGA media, rather than actually overseeing the U.S. Attorney’s office and investigating and indicting criminals. Except of course, for those people that Trump declares to be criminals because they prosecuted, or criticized, or otherwise offended him. The highest priority felonies to Trump are opposing his authority and hurting his feelings.

The Dumbest Man on Fox News, Jesse Watters, Hits New Lows in Dumfukery

The competition for who reigns supreme as the most consistently dimwitted host on Fox News is always a fierce battle among a variety of viable contenders, including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade, to name just a few. These cretins represent the cream of Donald Trump’s crop of propagandists.

Jesse Watters, Fox News

However, there is one figure who regularly descends to ever lower depths of derpitude so frequently – and so proudly – that he manages to achieve championship status on a runaway basis every time he is in contention. And that highly disgraced loser is, of course, Jesse Watters: A stand out in standing down to the dullards of the MAGA movement and any other wingnut cult that he encounters.

This week Watters sought to paper over what may be the worst national security scandal in decades. His version of the events that are widely recognized to have been a humiliating breach of protocol that put American operations and personnel in danger, was spectacularly lamebrained. Without regard to the welfare of the nation or its military heroes – or to reality – Watters dismissed the matter as a mere accident…

“Democrats thought they had the scandal of the year, and now it’s over. Officials leak to reporters all the time. This time, they accidentally leaked to a reporter.”

First of all, revealing the attack plans of the U.S. military, accidentally or otherwise, is a serious offense that, under ordinary circumstances, would result in prosecution and incarceration. But to Watters it is a triviality. And he engaged in flagrant gaslighting as to the resilience of the story that he absurdly believes has already blown over.

Furthermore, the problem here is not just that classified info was “leaked” to a reporter, which would be bad enough if it had happened. However, it was not leaked. Trump’s crack team of NatSec officials invited the reporter into a top secret planning meeting and freely divulged the military secrets.

The bigger problem is that Trump’s team were talking about attack plans on an insecure, commercial chat app in the first place. And none of them recognized the obvious risks. This is what you get when you put people in charge of critical agencies who are as incompetent as they are ignorant.

That, however, was just an appetizer for Watters’ Olympic-grade buffet of buffoonery. He went on to characterize the still explosive scandal as a minor blip on the public’s radar that wouldn’t shake their worship of Dear Leader Trump. Watters gushed that…

“No one outside of D.C. and in the news business really cares about this story. There is no video, there is no sex, there is no fraud. No one even knows what a Houthi is.”

To his credit, Watters perfectly defined the editorial standards of Fox News, where every story has to have some element of sensationalism (e.g. sex), but avoid anything that might challenge the viewer’s limited store of knowledge. If Fox viewers don’t know who the Houthis are, Fox certainly isn’t going to tell them. In short, Watters and his network cater to the shallow gossip and inbred ignorance of its on-air personalities.

For the record, the American people are not as stupid as Watters would like to believe (or is himself). A new poll by CNN contradicts his seat-of-the-pants BSing…

“There’s a lot of interest in this story. Google searches this week vs. last week for these topics – for ‘The Atlantic,’ – How many people are searching for The Atlantic? Up 900%! That is the highest on record since Google searches began back in 2004. How about for ‘Signal,’ the app on which this all occurred? Up over 1,000%. Again, the highest on record…People are interested in this story.”

The poll also revealed that Trump and his Cabinet rank lower than any other administration in modern times. And that’s even before much of the damage emanating from SignalGate – such as potential firings and/or resignations – has had a chance to sink in. Yet, Watters has declared some sort of victory. And that’s why he deserves the crown of crapola that he has fought so hard for.

But let’s not forget the also-rans. Everyone on Fox News deserves a dishonorable mention for their monumentally moronic take on this issue, and virtually every issue that they address.
