Trump Slobbers Over Hungarian Dictator Viktor Orbán, Whose Unchecked Power He Envies and Craves

Three days ago Republicans suffered a massive electoral blowout to reenergized Democrats, in which they lost races for critical offices and issues across the country. And they lost by surprising margins. So naturally, Donald Trump has returned to the White House to refocus his attention on the issues that matter most to the American people.

Donald Trump Tyrant Dictator

And if you believe that, I have a ballroom to sell you in Washington for a mere $4 trillion. The truth is that Trump is continuing to ignore the needs and desires of the American people. He is prolonging a government shutdown that is creating severe hardships for millions. He is fiercely pushing to cut off SNAP benefits for needy children and seniors. And he isn’t doing anything to lower the cost of living, which he promised to do on day one of his second occupation of the White House. We are now on day 292.

What Trump is doing is sending $20 billion to his dictator friend in Argentina, Javier Milei. And he is pardoning the felonious billionaire who helped to launch his own crypto business. And on Friday, Trump carved out some of his precious time to entertain the totalitarian prime minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, at the newly redecorated Palace of Trump – aka the White House.

Trump was effusive in his praise for Orbán, who he adoringly called “a great leader” who is doing “a fantastic job.” Trump gushed that…

“I stick up for Viktor Orbán. Not a lot of people do because in many cases they’re jealous. They wish they did what he did. They would have no problems if they did what he did.”

Trump: "I stick up for Viktor Orbán. Not a lot of people do because in many cases they're jealous. They wish they did what he did. They would have no problems if they did what he did."

Indeed. Dictators have no problems getting what they want done because, if anyone refuses, they mysteriously fall out of high-rise windows. And Trump is being uncharacteristically honest when he talks about how other leaders are jealous of Orbán. In fact, Trump is referring to himself. He wishes that he could be as domineering as Orbán. He is even employing the Orbán playbook of subjugating the legislature to the autocratic executive, and by taking control of the media through wealthy surrogates who buy up news organizations and reform them into pro-Trump propaganda mills.

The media companies that Trump doesn’t control by ownership, he beats into submission with multi-billion dollar lawsuits. Those suits generally have no legal merit, but the companies agree to settlements out of fear that Trump will abuse his power to harm their business prospects.

Trump’s obsession with being the King of America is thinly veiled. In the same meeting with Orbán, Trump addressed the current state of the nation that is in the midst of the Trump Shutdown. He expressed his desire to end the standoff with Democrats by invoking a procedural measure that would give all of the power to Trump’s MAGA Republicans in the Senate…

“If we do it [eliminate the filibuster in the Senate], we will never lose the midterms and we will never lose a general election. Because we will have produced so many different things for the people, for the country, that it would be impossible to lose an election.”

Trump on ending the filibuster: "If we do it, we will never lose the midterms and we will never lose a general election … it would be impossible to lose an election."

And there you have it. Trump is explicitly declaring that it is his intention to rule unchallenged for life. He isn’t interested in solving problems for the benefit of all Americans. He is determined to reign as a tyrant who cannot be refused or removed. And he couldn’t care less about the welfare of the American people, as he showed in his infamous pooping on the people video a few weeks ago.

The only things Trump cares about are money and power. He just wants to be like his pals Orbán and Putin. Fortunately, the people he despises are not going to let him do it. 8647 NOW! [And for you hyperventilating MAGA-nauts, that means remove (86) Trump (47)].
