RURAL REVOLT: Will Trump Lash Out At the ‘Radical Left Lunatic’ Rural Voters Who Now Hate Him?

Donald Trump once promised that if he was elected there would be so much winning that people would get sick of it. Well, he was partly right. He got elected, and people are sick. However, winning hasn’t been the catastrophe that he predicted.

Donald Trump Walking the Plank

Trump’s win/loss record is not exactly something to brag about. His economy is in the toilet. The Republican majority Congress just voted to rein in his war powers authority. His “weaponization” slush fund was ruled illegal in federal court. So were his inflationary tariffs. And his reckless and illegal war against Iran continues despite his relentless and impotent declarations of victory.

SEE THIS: BREAKING? The Iran War Will End in ‘Days’ According to Trump, Who Has Been Saying that for Months

No wonder Trump is also losing badly in polls measuring the public’s approval of him, or more accurately, disapproval. He has been hitting new lows with nearly every new survey. And it isn’t just his repulsive persona that is dragging him down. His policies are broadly unpopular, including economics, foreign affairs, immigration, and his multitude of ego-boosting projects to pay tribute to himself.

On Friday, CNN’s data analyst, Harry Enten, revealed the results of a new poll that specifically surveyed rural voters. That’s a demographic that has been among the most reliable group of supporters for Trump. But that is clearly not the case anymore. According To Enten…

“There seems to be a rural revolt going on in this country against Donald Trump. According to Fox News he was easily winning them back in October 2024 versus Kamala Harris. Eighteen points ahead.

“But look at where he is now. Down there, underwater, underneath the cornfields. He’s now 14 points underwater. That’s an over 30 point switcheroo against the president of the United States.[…] He is 19 points underwater with rural voters on inflation. That is an over 50 point switcheroo. Rural voters, like the rest of the country, turning against Trump on the key issue that got him elected to a second term back in 2024.”.

That’s right! According to a poll by Trump’s official Ministry of Propaganda, Fox News, America’s rural voters are – as Enten notes – “like the rest of the country, turning against Trump.” And with good reason. Trump’s war has resulted in increases in costs for vital necessities in rural communities, including gas and other energy, fertilizer, groceries, and healthcare which is suffering from the closure of many rural hospitals and clinics.

Meanwhile, Trump’s wars and incompetent diplomacy has alienated America’s trading partners and resulted in international markets for American agricultural products to collapse. Here at home, the rise in prices for those products has depressed domestic shoppers. In short, Trump is presiding over a perfect storm of economic adversity that touches the lives of every American. And those in rural communities are no exception.

Consequently, Trump’s political tribulations are only just beginning. He knows that he is facing an epic season of disaster in the upcoming midterm elections. So he’s pulling out all the stops to advance his crackpot conspiracy theories of voting fraud. And, as usual, he’s providing no evidence whatsoever.

However, unlike his previous episodes of derangement, Trump cannot blame it all on what he calls “radical, left, lunatics.” That’s a label he’ll have a hard time sticking onto red state farmers and ranchers. But never underestimate Trump’s ability to swerve into hypocrisy and blind, rage-filled hate and retribution. He has already lost support among Latino voters, and youth, and even non-MAGA Republicans. So rural voters could very well be the next target of his wrath. Anyone who crosses him is vulnerable. No one is immune.

Stephen Colbert’s Audience Flocks to Jimmy Kimmel, While CBS Suffers a Massive Ratings Decline

The first full week of ratings for network late night television since “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” went dark have been released. And it doesn’t paint a pretty picture for the Donald Trump bootlickers at Paramount/CBS who canceled their number one program starring America’s favorite late night host.

Stephen Colbert and Donald Trump baby

The loss of Colbert’s wit, insight, and compassion, is already being felt by millions of his fans. His final show on May 22 was his most-watched weeknight episode of all time. He raised millions of dollars for charity by auctioning off parts of his set and other memorabilia from the show. And he stirred the wrath of Donald Trump who had a severe flare up of his OCD (Obsessive Colbert Disorder).

SEE THIS: WHAT 1ST AMENDMENT? Snowflake Trump Takes Credit For Canceling “DUMB” (With a B) Stephen Colbert

Now audiences are beginning to settle into a new late night routine. And with Colbert moving on to what will likely be an even bigger, better platform for his humor and punditry, there was some interest as to where his network viewers would end up. Now we know. As reported by Latenighter

“According to Nielsen Live+3 ratings data for the week of May 24, 2026, Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 2.43 million total viewers (+35 percent over the week prior) and 252,000 adults 18–49 (+31 percent) across three original episodes and two repeats. The Tonight Show, meanwhile, averaged 1.41 million total viewers (+6 percent) and 271,000 adults 18–49 (+3 percent).” […]

“On CBS, Comics Unleashed completed its first full week in Stephen Colbert’s former Late Show time period. […] Combined, the show’s one-hour block averaged 737,000 total viewers (down -72%) and 78,000 adults 18–49 (down -66%).”

This was not entirely surprising. Most knowledgeable TV analysts assumed that Kimmel would get the lion’s share of Colbert’s viewers. His program and brand of humor is closer to Colbert’s, than Jimmy Fallon, who strives for a more congenial image that is averse to offending anyone.

So Kimmel is the big winner in this battle. And the big loser? That would be Trump. He despises Kimmel nearly as much as he did Colbert. Trump has repeatedly called for Kimmel to be fired. Instead, Kimmel is becoming bigger and more popular than ever. He recently won a coveted Peabody Award and used his acceptance speech to skewer Trump.

Despite Trump’s pathetic efforts to hamper Kimmel’s rise, there is really nothing that he can do about it. But that won’t stop him from whining and lashing out in a futile attempt to bring Kimmel down. It won’t work. It will just make Trump look weaker and more pitiful. If that’s even still possible at this point.

HUH? Trump Now Says His Weaponization Fund Was to Compensate People Who Were Abused – By the Media?

It’s getting more difficult every day to keep track of the myriad explanations and excuses that Donald Trump dispenses to the press for whatever calamity happens to be gnawing at his rapidly decomposing brain matter. The problem with trying to comprehend Trump’s explosive diarhetoric is that he continuously alters it fit into his always evolving fantastical version of reality.

Donald Trump, CNN

For instance: Tariffs don’t impact American consumers. No, I’m removing some tariffs to help American consumers. And: My vanity ballroom won’t cost taxpayers a penny. No, the ballroom is going to cost a billion dollars for national security. And: I had nothing to do with canceling Stephen Colbert. No, I’ve taken out many bad political pundits including Stephen Colbert. And: We’re at war with Iran. No, the war is over. No, it wasn’t a war to begin with, it was an excursion. And now Trump is doing the same with his “weaponization” slush fund…

SEE THIS: DEMOCRATS: Claim Your Share From Trump’s $1.776 Billion ‘Anti-Weaponization’ Slush Fund

During a press avail at the White House on Thursday, Trump engaged in a brief exchange with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. She asked him about his now abandoned slush fund, and he replied in the typically rude and flagrantly dishonest manner that has become his hallmark.

Collins: Just to clarify on what you were asked earlier, is the $1.8 billion DOJ fund dead or is it on hold?
Trump: It’s — I’d have to ask the lawyers, I don’t know. I know one thing: The weaponization fund, as far as I’m concerned was a beautiful thing. It was something I was — I didn’t make it, but I was — I heard that I thought that was the greatest thing because people like you…have abused our people so badly – Be quiet — have abused our people so badly and you should be ashamed of yourself. […] CNN does such false reporting, but now they have new ownership, so maybe it’ll straighten it out. I doubt it, but it’s hard to straighten garbage out. But CNN has abused and others have abused so badly.

WTF IS TRUMP TALKING ABOUT?He is not only being grossly disrespectful to Kaitlan Collins of CNN, he is saying that his illegal $1.8 billion "weaponization" fund was to compensate people who were abused by the media. That's a new one from the Demented One.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-06-04T10:32:28.687Z

There is a lot to unravel in that stream of incoherence. First of all, Trump’s claim of ignorance – while on the surface is believable considering his cognitive dysfunction – in this case is ridiculous. He knows exactly what happened with the fund because he was responsible for it. And the lawyers to whom he refers are his lawyers.

More to the point, Trump is not only being grossly disrespectful (as usual) to Collins by dismissively ordering her to “be quiet,”, he is also saying that his illegal slush fund was intended to compensate the January 6th insurrectionists who he now says were abused by the media, rather than law enforcement and the prosecutors who held them accountable for their seditious crimes, many of whom pleaded guilty.

Trump’s original claim that his StormTrumpers were badly treated by law enforcement was preposterous on its face. Which is why he has dropped it under pressure from his own MAGA Republicans in Congress and the MAGA media. But this new assertion is even more bizarre. There is no legal justification for his attempting to use taxpayers dollars to compensate his criminal cult devotees for anything that was said about them by the media.

If Trump’s rioters really thought that they were abused by the media, they could seek compensation by filing defamation lawsuits on their own. But they would have to prove that the media lied with malice. And since there is zero chance that they could do that, they would promptly get laughed out of court.

Getting laughed out of court just happens to be the proper response to any litigation that Trump dredges up. Unfortunately, there are still a few of his flunkies in robes who willingly do his bidding. But that state of affairs won’t last forever. And before long the time come will come when he and his goon squad will be brought to justice.

MAGA Mike Johnson Pitifully Tries to Cover For Trump Saying ‘I Don’t Care About the Midterms’

The upcoming midterm elections portend to be a disaster of epic proportions for Donald Trump and his Republican Party. Trump’s approval ratings are at record lows, and generic political party polling shows Democrats with significant advantages over the MAGA-ified GOP.

Donald Trump and Mike Johnson

Making matters worse, Trump is proving to be his own worst enemy with every utterance emanating from his pathologically lying lips. Even under the best, most favorably rigged circumstances, Trump manages to dig himself ever deeper into a hole that he has no chance of climbing out of.

SEE THIS: Trump Humiliates Himself in a Hysterical Interview By His Daughter-in-Law Lara Trump on Fox News

So what does his chief representative in Congress do to rescue him from a dire electoral fate? Well, during a Wednesday morning press briefing, Republican House Speaker, MAGA Mike Johnson, tried to sane-wash some of Trump’s demented babbling. Last week Trump was asked about how his fiasco in Iran might impact the midterms. Trump replied that

“[Iran] thought they were gonna out wait me. ‘We’ll out wait him. He’s got the midterms.’ I don’t care about the midterms.”

Trump: "I don't care about the midterms"

Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-05-27T16:06:36.364Z

That’s a pretty clear statement that Trump isn’t bothered by the broad public disapproval of his handling of the Iran quagmire. True to form, he’s going to do whatever he wants without regard to what the American people want, or what’s best for the nation. When this came up at Johnson’s press briefing, it elicited the following exchange…

Question: Trump says he doesn’t care about the midterms. Do you think he’s focused enough on domestic policy?
Johnson: What he said there has been taken out of context and it’s so unfair. This president is more laser focused and more dialed in on domestic issues here in the homeland than any president in memory. He spends more time working on domestic issues in one day than Joe Biden did in four. That’s an objective fact.

REALLY? After Trump said that he doesn’t care about the midterms, Johnson makes excuses saying that Trump was “taken out of context,” and that he “spends more time on domestic issues.” On on the former, it’s hard to imagine a positive context for saying he doesn’t care. But on the latter, to be fair, he’s kind of right, depending on how you define domestic issues…

After Trump said that "he doesn't care about the midterms," GOP Speaker MAGA Mike Johnson makes excuses saying that Trump "spends more time on domestic issues." And to be fair, he's kind of right.

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-06-03T17:34:29.767Z

Suffice to say that Johnson didn’t help Trump with that nonsense reply. Trump’s domestic agenda has been nothing short of abysmal. The only thing that’s worse is his foreign agenda. But that didn’t stop Johnson and his House GOP lieutenants from making clowns of themselves. Notice the posters that he set up for the briefing. One of them asserts that while “Republicans are CUTTING YOUR TAXES, DEMOCRATS WERE TRANS-ING THE MICE (with $8.2 Billion of Your Tax Dollars).”

First of all, the “trans-ing the mice” reference is just as untrue as when Trump said it in a speech before Congress last year. He totally misunderstood a report on “transgenic” research on mice, which are genetic experiments done to study human illnesses, and have nothing to do with gender transitioning. And secondly, the only tax cutting that Trump has done was for corporations and the wealthy.

Johnson could have spared himself the trouble of covering for Trump’s asinine comments about not caring. Most Americans already know that he doesn’t care about them. He even said so on another occasion just last month when he defended his war against Iran and the economic harm it was doing here at home, saying that “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation. I don’t think about anybody.” Yeah…We know.

WHAT 1ST AMENDMENT? Snowflake Trump Takes Credit For Canceling “DUMB” (With a B) Stephen Colbert

The tender sensitivities of Donald Trump, and his massive yet fragile ego, continue to shine through the facade of bombast and bullying that he likes to put forward. His macho image of himself – setting aside his affinity for The Village People and muscular MMA fighters – is as fake as his layers of orange pancake makeup and B-52 hairstyles.

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Donald Trump, Constitution

Trump’s hyper-mushiness is often expressed by his lashing out at journalists and other media figures. It can be seen whenever he is asked a question he can’t answer and resorts to insulting the reporter as a means of dodging the question. And it’s particularly true with regard to comedians who wound his smug pride with ample servings of satire and well-deserved mockery.

SEE THIS: Trump Brags About Getting Fascist Control of the Media in Bonkers Truth Social Post

On Sunday night Trump unloaded yet another lambasting of his perceived enemies, both political and humorous. In a comment posted to his failing Twitter ripoff, Truth Social, Trump lauded himself for allegedly ending the careers of several of his archfoes, including Stephen Colbert. Trump bragged that…

“In the last two weeks I’ve taken out many bad Political ‘Leaders’ and Pundits including Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lightweight ‘Congressman’ Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Brad Raffensperger of Georgia, REALLY DUMB Stephen Colbert of CBS, and others.”

Whad'ya know? Trump is admitting he had a role in Stephen Colbert being canceled, something he previously denied, and CBS said was just a financial decision.Plus he says he's also going after the other late night hosts. And finally, he says this is how he is "working so hard for our country" ???

News Corpse (@newscorpse.bsky.social) 2026-06-02T07:40:34.959Z

That’s right. Trump is taking credit for the cancellation of “DUMB” (with a “B”) Stephen Colbert. Which is peculiar because he has previously denied having much, if anything, to do with it. In a post on Truth Social in July of last year Trump claimed that Colbert was fired due to “lack of talent” and CBS’s unverified assertion that the number one rated show lost $50 million dollars a year…

“Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night. That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses.”

Trump’s tirade also included a tribute to himself saying that “It is my Honor to be working so hard for our Country!” Exactly! Because, as everyone knows, canceling Colbert is the best way to lower costs for gas, and groceries, and housing, and healthcare.

And that’s on top of the many economic benefits that come from building vanity ballrooms, staging UFC fights at the White House, paying $1.8 billion to reward violent seditionists, minting $250.00 bills with Trump’s face on them, and, of course. starting wars against Middle East countries without any reason or exit strategy.

The worst part of this assumption of credit by Trump is that he is affirming his intention to do away with the free speech rights and press freedoms embedded in the First Amendment to the Constitution. He actually believes that he has the power to dictate what can or cannot be aired on television. And sadly, too many of the billionaires who own the media are all too willing to capitulate to him for fear and/or greed.

However, that weakness will only work for so long. And the time is coming when they will learn the hard way that capitulation not only feeds Trump’s hunger for power, it alienates audiences who will revolt against the traitorous complicity in the corporate media’s embrace of MAGA-style fascism.

Jimmy Kimmel Wins Peabody Award, Skewers Trump in His Acceptance Speech

Watch out for flying ketchup bottles! The Crybaby-in-Chief, Donald Trump, is going to be lobbing caseloads of condiments with both hands when he hears that the “low rated, no talent,” late night comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, has just won a coveted Peabody Award for “embracing the responsibility of comedy to reveal truths amid political volatility.”

Click here to post this article on Twitter or Click here to post on Bluesky

Jimmy Kimmel with Trump baby

Never mind the skyrocketing costs of gas, groceries, housing, healthcare, etc., or the reckless and illegal war in Iran. Trump is too busy with his vanity ballroom, and getting his scowling mug plastered on currency, to be concerned with issues that really matter to the American people. And he’s too obsessed with punishing the media for telling the truth about him, including by comedians that America loves way more than him.

SEE THIS: LOLOL: Jimmy Kimmel Crushes Trump in Poll Despite Having No Talent or Ratings (According to Trump)

On Sunday night the prestigious Peabody Awards were presented to journalists and others in the media for outstanding achievements in their fields. Among them was Jimmy Kimmel, who has distinguished himself as both a humorist and a profound observer of political, cultural, and social affairs. As reported by Variety

“‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ was among the 34 winners chosen by the Peabody Awards jury to win this year’s prizes, and Kimmel joked that he ‘never felt dumber’ being awarded along side documentaries and news programs that ‘exposed the horrors of ice, prison abuse and a teacher who took on Putin.’

“But the audience at Sunday night’s ceremony cheered on as the talk show host, in his acceptance speech, reminded the crowd that ‘making jokes about the President – in America – shouldn’t win you a prize. We have the right, guaranteed by the Constitution, to criticize and satirize our leaders. That is a right I took for granted, for the first 57 years of my life, until last September, when the FCC delivered an unpleasant surprise.'”

As a perennial target of Trump’s wrath, Kimmel has been subjected to infantile insults, as well as vindictive threats and abusive retribution by Trump and his flunkies at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). They succeeded in getting Kimmel thrown off the air, but only for three days as the public backlash forced the Trumpists to cave in and restore the program. Unfortunately, that hasn’t stopped Trump from pursuing his ego-fueled vendetta.

MORE HERE: Trump’s FCC Threatens to Change ‘Equal Time’ Rules to Suppress the Free Speech of Trump Critics

In his Peabody acceptance speech (video below), Kimmel affirmed that he and his peers “will not stand by when comedy, and journalism, and dissent are censored, regulated and criminalized.” Then he went on to thank the Peabody panel that voted for him, as well as another notable who helped him to earn this honor…

“Thank you to the Peabody jurors for this adorable little trophy, and thank you to Donald Trump, our commander-in-thief, ‘Abrascam Lincoln,’ ‘Orange Julius Caesar,’ ‘Greedy McGolfy,’ ‘Dopey McGropey’ and ‘Pumpkin McPornhumper.'”

Trump may have succeeded in getting his billionaire pals at Paramount/CBS to cancel Stephen Colbert. Although they may have only succeeded in guiding him to an even bigger audience online and streaming. But Kimmel, for the time being, is still with us. And he will likely inherit Colbert’s network TV audience, giving him more exposure than ever.

UPDATE: The first head-to-head late night ratings since Colbert went dark show that Kimmel got the lion’s share of Colbert’s audience. CBS however, tanked with airings of “Comics Unleashed,” the show that replaced Colbert.

“According to Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, Kimmel dominated the hour with an average 2.185 million total viewers [a 53% gain] and 295,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic [a 178% gain]. That’s more viewers for Jimmy Kimmel Live! across both key ratings measurements than both the Tonight Show and Comics Unleashed combined. […] CBS, meanwhile, saw a steep drop-off from its year-ago performance. Comics Unleashed was down 64% in total viewers and down 46% among adults 18-49 compared to The Late Show’s numbers the same night last year, when Colbert won the timeslot.”

As for Trump, his approval ratings have been in a death spiral for months. And nothing hurts him more than knowing how despised he is by the little people he aspires to rule.

Jimmy Kimmel: We have the right to criticize and satirize our leaders. This is a right that I took for granted until last year when the FCC delivered a very unpleasant surprise. Then I watched as millions of people objected because they refuse to allow our freedoms to be bulldozed like the East Wing
